Pros: The hotel's very central and a walking distance from many attractions - even in the cold winter weather. Museums, Harrods, high-end shopping and parks are all very near.
The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, available 24/7. We had an early flight back so checked out of the room and left early (6am) - we were greeted upon departure with take-away coffee and tea, along with fruits and pastries. Literally left good taste in our mouths as we left the hotel. We'll surely return to the Thompson on our next visit to London!

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, available 24/7. Cons: The room as several articles which seem complimentary (such as USB cable, etc.) which upon checkout apparently cost quite a lot (we were charged 10 GBP for the cable).
Continental breakfast is not diverse - just a few pork cold-cuts, a couple of cheeses, some juice, coffee, pastries etc. We asked for a few slices of tomato and cucumber and were charged 4 GBP for them.

Pros: This was a very charming hotel. The location was wonderful - only a few blocks from an Underground station and Hyde Park. The staff was great - very helpful and friendly. The concierge helped with getting tickets to museums and other attractions as well as trains, which saved a great deal of time not waiting in long lines. We took advantage of the breakfast service. The food was good with lots of options. The waitstaff was very attentive. We did not have to wait long for assistance. The maid staff was fine as well and also very friendly. On several occasions, we had to call the front desk to request additional towels and they arrived within minutes.

The staff of the hotel always exceeds expectation; Neal, the head concierge; is full of insights for the area; found us a large private van to Heathrow for $65. We had 4 big bags from a twoo week Cruise, so the large Mercedes was excellent. The hotel and its ammenities are moderately pricied if not leaning a little toward expensive, as in breakfast; but in tota,l worth the money especially if on vacation. A superior experience; will stay here again when visiting London for sure.

Centrally located downtown. Close to the tube. Cons: The Rembrandt is an older hotel with some of the issues associated with that. For example, the "switch" that controlled power to the room would "break" if the bathroom door was closed to hard in our room or a neighboring room. This could be easily fixed by tapping on the control panel. The room had a small table and desk, so there was no room for a wardrobe. It was a little difficult living out of a suitcase for two weeks. It would have been smarter to remove the desk and substitute some drawers for clothing.

Pros: Location only.
Cons: First point, when I arrived to the reception I asked the customer service lady about types of room she answered: no madam no room available, everybody came today I transfered them to my sister hotel!! Or If you want I can give you standard room for £650 per night !!!
At the same time, I booked through Kayak app and I found it for £450 per night ..
Second point, the bed cover seems no quilt inside and they didn't change it for 8 nights, also the room was not clean..
Third thing which was the most disgusting thing, on 12 of Sep 2016 I waked up at 8:00 am because of voice coming from one of my plastic bag I was puting it over the chair, it was a mouse inside the it. Then the mouse run to his hole under the mini bar !!! I went directly to the reception and they told me sorry madam we will give you another room in another floor. They gave me other type of room better than which I booked.
Fourth point, I spoke with the supervisor about what happened, she appologized and she told me that her manager will contact me.. I was following up with her everyday but no answer..
On the last day, when I checked out she told me that her manager offer me to make upgrade next time to primume room or they will return £200 !!!
She told me " but please madam don't write your rivew online".
I against that, then she told me you can contact my manager by email.
My psyche was to much tired and bad mood.
I sent an email to the manager but she didn't reply.

Cons: Overbooked- we had prepaid and confirmed the previous evening. The hotel was overbooked, unable to find an alternative and wasted 4 hours of our 1 day in London. Kayak and the hotel were unhelpful and we are still waiting for a refund and compensation.

Cons: The glass of the window in the bathroom was broken, the door and the window in the room didn't lock. we left the hotel immediately and we didn't get any refund. We ordered the room for a week so this event was a lost of money and a huge dissapointment.
