Pros: despite being over motor court, room was very quiet, everything was well designed, staff was extremely helpful, bathroom was tremendous, restaurant was great. Very little (if anything) to actually complain about. Top-notch.
Cons: gym facilities were modest as was pool, but not a terribly big deal as most hotel gyms have a limited offer.

Pros: Breakfast Room Service (as restaurant was not open before I had to leave).
Cons: Everything else - courteous, but very unhelpful staff in resolving issues and making guests feel comfortable. Slow service - room not available on time - view from the room was looking at steampipes. One of my most disappointing hotel stays compared to expectations (and I visit London 6-10x annually). Room was old (it was clean) and not up to date for a luxury hotel.

Pros: Stayed in a king suite . View from the room was fantastic and the absolutely stunning at night. The room was spacious and comfortable with very nicely appointed furniture and bed. The bathroom with the heated floor was very nice surprise. Doorman was wonderfully welcoming, the bellboys were quick and helpful and the concierge was professional and always pleasant and patient.
Cons: I asked for an early check in which wasn't possible and I understood this. However, when I returned at the regular check in time, the receptionist without checking with anyone, insisted the room still wasn't ready. Had to ask for the manager, who after checking with housekeeping, found the room was ready. Receptionist was not happy at being contradicted and was less than pleasant for the rest of the check-in process. Not offered breakfast discount on check-in so would have paid substantially more if I hadn't found out about the discount by accident. Stayed two nights. Mini-fridge was not restocked the second day. Took 45 minutes to get a bucket of ice and then felt guilty for asking for it when we found out the poor guy doing room service was the only one on duty. Seems like the hotel needs to amp up the staff numbers to provide the five star service you're paying for.

Pros: Reception staff were really good, consierge was equally as good. Nice welcome, and fire in lobby. A lady in the restaurant for breakfast was very good, I think her name was Pam.
Cons: Breakfast was really not great, firstly the lady who seated us, asked if we wanted coffee and toast, then none arrived had to ask again for it, same with ordering some porridge it came 15 minutes later, but was like gruel, quite surprised that a 5 star hotel kitchen can't make porridge. Overall a little bit too structured and formal, but lacked professionalism in the restaurant.

Pros: Hotel is very well located - 50 meters to Embankment Tube, walking distance to Covent Garden, Taffalgar Square. Service was great. Room was very nice and comfortable with heated bathroom floors, but no views to speak of. Would definitely stay here again. Great deal at $250US pricepoint.
Cons: Nothing.

Cons: Overall stay was very comfortable except there was a very loud wedding party on Saturday night that didn't end till past 1:00am, but the hotel gave me a very generous discount for that night. Would also have liked more overhead lighting because the atmosphere in the room was rather dim!

Pros: The rooms were comfortable and we had a lovely view of the river and the lighted ferris wheel. The staff were courteous, professional, and responsive. The location is great. The concierge was quite helpful. Breakfast was great but if we had not obtained a good price including breakfast, the a la carte cost of adding on breakfast would not have been worth it. The hotel is lovely and we hope to stay there again.
Cons: For about half of our stay the hotel telephone system was not working. The sink in one of our rooms was quite high and uncomfortable for our elder and short relative.
Excellent
9.7
Pros: Location is perfect for the theater district. Staff is very friendly and accommodating indeed. Hotel is very elegant, a bit formal. Could be intimidating for a tourist from the US west.
Cons: Got a good room rate, but drinks, tea, and breakfast were as expensive as you'd expect from a 5 star central London hotel. We ended up changing our room twice -- the first time at the suggestion of the bellman, because it didn't have any view. The second room had a view but was way smaller than the other, and had no bath tub. We were moved a third time at our request and got a wonderful room (but without a river view). The staff made both moves very easy indeed.
This wonderful property is situated amidst the charm of London. Guests will find themselves in the ideal setting from which to explore the excitement of the nearby West End and Piccadilly Circus. The Prince of Wales theatre is just 100 metres away. Chinatown is 200 metres from the hotel. Heathrow International Airport is conveniently located just 37 km away. This stylish hotel comprises elegantly-styled guest rooms. Guests are invited to avail of the facilities and services that this establishment has to offer. Excellent service ensures that guests enjoy a truly memorable stay at the heart of London.

Pros: The staff was great, especially Henri & Theo. The staff always went above and beyond to assist us! Location also was amazing; right next to Picadilly Circus, Trafalgar Sq, Leicester Sq, close to Parliament Sq, and Buckingham Palace.. Very centrally located

Pros: The location was excellent. The design and materials of the room are modern and quality. It was very clean and there was a clear focus on quality. The towels were as soft and huge as any hotel I've been in. the TV was huge relative to the size of the room. The bathroom fixtures were all very nice and the toiletries were also nice. If you are willing to trade a lot of space for a lower price (well, lower price for London) then this can be a value. It's also good if you plan not to spend much time in the hotel as it's comfortable for sleeping.
Cons: The reason the rooms are affordable is because the rooms are tiny. Seriously tiny...as in your bed spans the whole distance of a wall. There is no closet at all, and unless you get one of the larger rooms you'll have to put your luggage on the floor as there are no luggage racks. That's a bitt of a challenge because the "floor" is really the walkway from the bed area to the bathroom so you'll be walking around your own luggage. If you are a business traveler and need desk space it's very limited or absent. I had one room with a very small desk and another where I had to use the nightstand as a desk. The rooms are relatively dark even if the windows are open because they open to a narrow light well/courtyard. Perhaps there is more light on higher floor levels.

Pros: This is a no-frills property that trades off services for location. Smallest room I have ever stayed in over 30 years, 100+ properties and 5000 nights. The double room was 10x10 (feet) with no phone or closet. No laundry or room service Wake up service is a knock on the door. NOT FOR BUSINESS USE

Pros: The location was great and the first time I stayed the hotel was cleaner. The room is really basic but bed was comfortable. I would never stay here with a second person. The room is good for 1.
Cons: The have a small check in desk in the middle of the cafe which was crowded when I arrived. I have had to wait for longer than 10 minutes to check in and check out. They seem a little disorganized at the front and could use a proper reception area.

Pros: Extremely tidy, practical, and functional. The staff bend over backwards to help with any little thing. The location can’t be beat — I walked to the British Museum in under half an hour, and just around the corner to Her Majest’s Theatre for Phantom. My room was quiet and windowless but I’m fine with small spaces; if you’re not traveling alone, you may feel cramped.
Cons: There wasn’t a thing I didn’t like about this hotel. When I return to London I’ll book it again.

Pros: Beds were very comfortable The 48" flat screen TV was a nice touch The design was nice Definitely a place to stay for short business travel or vacation, given the good location in Piccadilly. The complimentary wine n cheese every evening was nice and my group enjoyed it Located close to many many tourists spots, most with in walking distance or short bus ride. Staff was excellent and very attentive
Cons: There is only one small lift and often crowded, therefore had to wait for it to come back down empty or you just took the stairs, a minor complaint, but would better if they had two lifts.

Pros: Awesome hotel in the cut of the busy Times Square area of London. Easy to get to by train from the airport as you just take it to Picadilly Circus station and walk 5 mins. Near all of the action and nightclubs. Clean. Great free wine and cheese happy hour. Wonderful gem of a hotel.
Cons: Rooms are fairly small which didn't bother me as I am a single small female traveling alone but its not suited for couples or bringing children. Its a closet sized room.

Pros: We booked this friend to stay overnight as our friends were having their wedding at The Ballroom in Park Plaza. Thank god the wedding was good, because that was the only good thing about this hotel!!
Cons: As we were part of the bridal group we contacted the hotel months, weeks and even the day before check in to request an early check in, that never happened!! As an apology because our hair and make up artist was standing in reception, we were only upgraded for 2 of the 4 rooms. During and after the wedding, we got stuck in the lift (which was already broken but not decommissioned) no apology from the evening staff and no acknowledgement of their errors, rather I am told "I am done talking to you". After our party having spent tens and thousands of pounds, this is the treatment we received. No compensation and no complimentary offers to any of us.

Pros: The Park Plaza Riverbank London is perfectly situated, particularly if you will rely on public transportation to get around London. The hotel is a short walk to the Vauxhall Station, which includes access to National Rail, bus, and the underground (Victoria line). The hotel was clean, comfortable, and very modern. There were illuminated controls on each side of the bed for the lights, plus an electronic method for lighting up a "privacy" or "please clean the room" sign outside the door. The bathroom included both a tub and a (very small, but well-appointed) walk-in shower (which did not leak). The price was excellent for a London hotel. We did not use the restaurant or other facilities at the hotel, so we cannot comment on them.

Pros: Assume the hotel would have been excellent.
Cons: Beware!! The booking agent Cancelon has a early date trigger converting to a non-refundable reservation after promoting "free cancelation". Its geared to pushing the non-refundable reservation to their site to sell. The listing process was incredibly difficult requiring re-entering all online data resulting in no sale or compensation. Would avoid booking through Cancelon in the future.

Cons: Got to hotel at check in time (2:00) and had to wait 2 hours for the room to be ready. My 3:30 engagement was missed do to this issue with check in. I was only in London this one day and the main reason I was there for didn’t happen because of the late check in. Also, the occupants of the room next to mine was slamming their door and making noises up to 6:00 am. It sounded like staff was continuously trying to enter the room. Not a good experience at all

Pros: If you're visiting London, you aren't going to spend much time in your room and shouldn't pay for more than you need. Pros: The beds and bathroom were comfortable. The satélite tv was good. The staff is very friendly. The location is excellent. Within walking distance to soho and Covent Garden.
Cons: The room is extremely small. No closet or room to walk around. There is only about 5 feet between the beds and the bathroom. Only 1 person can move around at a time. After the 1 day got the hang of it and made it work. The bathroom and room is divided by frosted glass. It did not provide privacy for families.

Pros: The hotel is in a great spot where you can walk to see Big Ben in 10-15 minutes or over to Buckingham Palace in 20 minutes. The hotel was generally very clean.WiFi access was also a great help. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The rooms are reminiscent of small dorm rooms complete with a MAC as the TV/entertainment system. The bathrooms are extremely small and you have a sink where you almost stand in the shower to brush your teeth. Room service food is very average quality much like in college. I felt like I was back in some weird college type throwback staying at this hotel.

Pros: Friendly staff. Concierge will to help with reservations, etc.

Cons: The beds were incredibly hard and uncomfortable. The organization of room and how it felt was awkward. The windows need a tent to help with privacy.

Pros: The location is excellent (just behind the Tate Museum & the MI-5 HQ, as well as only a couple of minutes away from the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey). Tube stations are 10min.+ away, but the area is well covered by buses. The common spaces look clean and modern and the staff is friendly and polite (but nothing "over the top", though). If you manage to get a good deal, it could be a very affordable hotel in the middle of London. I paid £550 for 5 nights, but a few days before or a few days after my stay and I could've easily paid around £1,200 for the same number of nights in the same period - mid-August.
Cons: The rooms are a bit outdated and could do with a fresh coat of paint and some new carpeting at the very least. The design is also very simple and minimal, which gives an overall "basic" feeling. Some refurbishment would go a long way in improving the comfort of guests and would justify some of the heftier rates charged by the hotel (probably off the back of the hotel's premium location rather than room comfort and facilities).

Pros: Room was actually pretty clean, and restrooms were heavily used, but cleaned regularly. Staff was always very nice and helpful. Room was spartan, but comfortable.
Cons: Very noisy - lots of commotion outside our room. Also, for some reason, they decided to shut the bathroom near us for cleaning every morning from about 7:30 to 8:15 - right when lots of folks were wanting to shower. Finally, I had requested a private room for our family, but they told me that they didn't have any , so I had to pay extra money to get a whole 10 person room. Still a decent rate overall, compared to other places, but not the rate i thought I would pay. Finally, don't count on getting wi-fi any time between 7:00 and 10:30 at night. There are so many people trying to connect that it is pretty much impossible.

Pros: This is the second time I have ever stayed in a hostel...I can say with confidence that I will definately stay here again... $20 a night?! Who could say no! Also close to Elephant and Castle tube station too!!

Pros: I liked that it was well located (less than 10 minutes walk to the Elephant & Castle tube station), St Pancras train station is 15 minutes away by tube and there are many buses around the hostel. You can also find a Spar and a Tesco Express supermarket as well as many kebabs next door if you want to grab something to eat. I stayed in a 4 beds dorm wich was clean and I had a nice view on the Shard. Toilets and shared showers were clean too.
Cons: Wifi was only available in sharing areas (only reception, " bar " and tv lounge). Also, the windows in the dorm were old and made of glass that was partially shattered so you could hear the traffic as if you were sleeping in the street. It can also be quite cold so I don't recommend staying there during fall or winter. Bed's matresses aren't confortable so I wouldn't recommend staying there for too long either. When it comes to eating in, there is a bar near the reception that sells £4 pizzas, sandwiches, coffee and many other things but it is only open from 12 to 19 and during these hours there wasn't anyone working at the bar so I couldn't get anything...
