Just round the corner from Queensway tube station. Fire alarm at 8am on a Sunday morning but this couldn't be helped!
Hotel area, availability of the staff generally, however the restaurant service was not very good. The face that they offered us a room with baathroom handicap facilities in the first place, which we did not refuse (the room was nice, except the bathroom) as we understood the hotel was busy.
I really liked the location and the amenities. The Underground was close, along with a nice selection of restaurants and Hyde Park. It was very well decorated and attractive. Some of the wait staff and the housekeeping could have been more consistent in their service. The housekeeper may or may not get to some of the details of our room each day. The restaurant waitstaff had new people each day, so there was some confusion in the dining room. Overall though, the leadership was excellent and professional.

I have serious problems with overcharging. I stayed there from November the 15th to the 29th. I first booked through booking.com for a week (November the 15th to the 22nd) so the Notting Hill Suites charged the first week of booking. I asked to stay another week and the receptionist said it wasn't paid and charged me two weeks instead of the other one I was asking for. After I realised that the first week was already paid and asked for a refund.The receptionist said ok and pretended he did the refund but it wasn't so.Then I asked again and he finally did the refund.The problem is that they charged me again for another two weeks. So if you are going to stay there, be very careful about what you pay, double check if they are not overcharging you.
We loved the decorations and furnishings in the hotel and how close it was to the tube station. Location was very convenient for getting around London and staying in Notting Hill made us feel like locals. There really wasnt't anything we didn't like.
Staff was polite, location is great. Cleaning is at good standard. Value for money is well disproportioned, will not visit again. Terrible draft coming from the window next to the bed. Heating was not working so they fit a portable eating in the room. Shower facility very bad design, it gets overloaded and is not sufficient light on the bathroom.

the house and the room are beautiful, a great location near the underground, portobello road and its nice market. The fully furnished the kitchen is appreciable too for quick meals The shower was difficult to use,too hot!!! The internet was not working in the room or worked by 5 min periods and nobody to help. A light did not work and the coffee maker was out of order.

It was very comfortable, particularly for the price we paid. Nothing, really, except the heater was somewhat noisy (but that's what you get in an old building, even when it's been nicely updated).

The staff were amasing and very helpful. I stayed three nights and then returned for an additional night at the end of my trip because the place was perfect in location, comfort and staff. Very impressed. I came from Australia and intend to use this as a base for business in the future.
When I found the accomodation the room was very modern well equiped and very clean.
The rooms were clean The rooms where very small! Had to climb over husband to use restroom. Also felt that it was very expensive, no breakfast included, no bar/lounge. Had to make 1 collect call and the hotel charged us $45.00 for it.
The location was perfect! When we checked in we were told we were given an upgrade. Not sure what that really meant, we were on the basement floor so we had no light, and it was actually quite sunny during our stay in London. Our bed was uncomfortable and we both would roll towards the middle. Non stop noise all night, either from the air conditioner, or the lift or other guest it was a very noisy stay. The staff was very friendly, and I understand they want to improve, my suggestion is never tell a gust that they are being given an upgrade and then put them in the basement.

Nice little hotel in a great, quiet location. There is NO Fitness Centre and I was told I had to pay for Breakfast when it was included. It costs 15 GBP (If you pre-bopok and pay in cash) for breakfast and it was not worth the price. Very small dinning room.

rooms were really nice together with in-room facilities. Very quiet and comfortable. No bar or restaurant was surprising considering the cost. Communal areas were spartan and not very welcoming. TV reception was terrible which wasn't too big an issue as it meant I didn't have to endure the X factor!!!!
The room was sparkling. I had the best nights' sleep I have ever had in a hotel - the temperature could be controlled from the room, and the woindow left open if desired as the room looked out onto a very quiet square. The location was great. Near the Bayswater Tube and walking distance to the Portabella market. The room was decorated beautifully and on the first floor overlooking the park. Very quiet. The staff was very accomidating and friendly. The bed was not the most comfortable and the cost of breakfast was high. We went elsewhere.
the design was excellent some of the staff couldn't answer to any of my questions about the hotel, my room was next to the elevator and I could hear if someone used it, the towels I've got wasn't washed (it was brand new, but not washed)

I was surprised given the excellent reviews received by the hotel to find a slightly ran down establishmentin need of some serious updating. Perhaps my views were coloured by my bad exerience with my stay but perhaps not. The first room I was given was quite adequate, if small. I was then moved to a different room because of a fault with the lighting (easily fixable it turned out). The "new" room had to be the worst one in the hotel! Low lighting, no work surface, desk or table, very hot, and no shower, just a hand held spray. I left the hotel a day early. On the positive side the breakfast was wxcellent.

The staff were very helpful. I liked the easy 24-hour access. The room was comfortable, if rather small, and its facilities were as expected. The breakfast was good and offered the option of a cooked breakfast. The price was rather high, but it is in London and quite central, so perhaps that was not a surprise.

Well I don't know where should I start... For everyone who complained: Yes - this hotel maybe is not the best in the town but you always have Ritz or Sofitel charging at least £600 per night. Yes rooms have signs of wear and tear but you have to understand that changing interior for such a small hotel is much more problematic and pricey than for big chains such Accor or Premiere Inn. It's old, huge (and beautiful) Victorian house converted into hotel.Rooms are big, beds comfy, bathroom maybe small but you would be able to have shower - unless you'd like to have sex on the floor - for this purpose I agree: it's a bit too small. Location is more than convenient walking distance (15 min.) to Paddington Station and 3 stations to Oxford street. look above. I hardly found anything bad. Yes - they might invest in new carpets but at the and of the day I usually sleep on bed not on the carpet - If you prefer carpet then your choice.:)
It is not specified during the booking that if you pay by card (debit or credit), there is an extra 4% charge. My room didn't have a window and was incredibly hot.
It was a bed after a trans-atlantic flight. The shower was 10/10. We arrived before check in after all night flight from USA hoping to sit off till room was ready but told to come back. Came back and carried cases upto 2nd floor to find 2 single beds instead of a double. Given a room in basement. Tiny. Nowhere to hang clothes. Climbing over cases to get to bathroom where there was nowhere to hang a towel or put toothpaste, razors, foam etc. As for the breakfast, well read the other reviews on here, terrible. dining hall slightly bigger than our room.
The rooms were dirty, small and uncomfortable. Breakfast was a joke - just tea,juice boiled eggs, cereal and toast. Our room had a broken shower door which was hanging off its hinges and dangerous, but when told the staff said we would have to put up with it as there were no other rooms available and if we wanted a shower we would have to use another room. We asked them to contact the manager as we didnt want to pay for this, but they refused. Apparently the manager only starts work at about 11am and does a couple of hours and then goes so good luck if you encounter any problems.
Vicki was very nice at Check in. Convenient to Tube stops and Hyde Park. Cleaned each day. Breakfast was good. As all rooms in the U.K., the room was a bit cramped. Shower was excellent, but in a small bathroom. No lift, but we enjoy the European staircases.
Great location! Good value considering the prices in London. Helpful and Courteous Staff! Everything worked as expected and as required. Tiny breakfast room - sometimes couldn't get a seat and knocking elbows with other patrons. Tiny room but adequate and everything worked.
Good location, friendly staff. Up three flights of stairs with small kids and luggage, and I don't recall reading on the website that there was no lift. Breakfast was a bit thin. We asked hotel to recommend a car for hire to get to Gatwick Airport South Terminal, which the hotel staff booked for us; we were quoted one price but on the day of the driver told us that it was an extra 5 pounds because we were going to Gatwick South. I'm not sure if that was legitimate or if the hotel needs to be more careful about recommending a car service. Also, I was unprepared to pay in advance (typically in Canada you pay at check-out, leaving a credit card on file), so I arrived without enough cash to pay the bill and had to put it on my credit card, resulting in the extra charge to use a credit card.
Convenient for Central London. Good bus and tube links. Very poor maintainance in rooms, ie: plugs in basin missing, door handles loose, broken sanitary wear. Despite having room changed still faults in second room. Breakfast choice very limited and breakfast room like a waiting room.
This was probably one of the best hotels, that I ever have lived in. Friendly staff, good service und spacy rooms - one can't wish for much more. The "Continental" breakfast could include some "Continental" cheese and/or sausages as well - not everybody likes jam, or a big "English" breakfast.

The room was ok, and so was the breakfast (not much choice, but pleasant). The worst thing was that noise due to the underground lines passing underneath. The machine to make tea wasn´t working.

The locations is great. Good transport links. No curfew. Room was a good size and clean. Breakfast available until 9:30am Sound of underground train throughout the entire building - not good if you are a light sleeper. No complimentary toiletries in the bathroom so had to go and purchase our own. Insufficient space to cater for more than a few people during breakfast. Extremely noisy plumbing coming through from the neighbouring room - a problem when your neighbours are up at 5:30am.

The location. Awefull - Just prior to arrival (being 2.5 hours after the soonest available time for book in to our room), we were just yards away from teh hotel when the manager (Manoj) called from his mobile and very bluntly said "Mr Robindon? Due to maintenance your room is unavailable and you'll need to find another hotel to book into". Obviously this was out of order, not just for being so late in the day but the managers attitude. We decided to continue to the hotel to confront the manager face to face. After around 30 minutes of arguing that he was out of order and teh service was not acceptable we were provided a key and direction to our booked double room - which was a twin. 2 more hours later we had the room we booked though in poor condition

hotel is in easy reach to tube and attraction places in the center.If you just want to hang around in the city and be back just to sleep with playing less it may fit you. breakfast is really poor, almost nothing to eat.rooms are kind of shabby and not so clean though the bed and blankets are fine.the bathroom is really too old as built in stone ages and the fittings are not working properly.
The staff is very good, always there, know a lot about London. The location is perfect for a tourist, three minutes from the main street with two lines of underground to the central of London and many buses. The Hotel is very quiet. The furniture of the rooms is very old.

I booked 2 nights here. When I arrived I was told there was no hot water for at least 24hrs and no reduction in £75 per night. The bathroom was disgusting, the grout in shower was black. The plughole in the floor full of hair and dirt. The walls of bedroom were dirty and whole place needed decorating )es. And refused to stay 2nd night on account of no hot water and dirty.
I was glad that I only booked it for 2 nights The rooms were not clean, they smelled really bad. Mold in the bathroom, uncomfortable bed. The price was way too expensive when you compare what you get for the money.

It is indeed 2 min walk from the tube in a nice area and there is an elevator for 1person+ 1 luggage. I could not even think of entrying the wc, I was cold because there was only one thin blanket available and I was too tired and sleepy to go downstairs to ask for one more. There was a leak in the shower and it gave me the impression that it was raining all night long. It definitely needs a good remont. And I have never seen a poorest breakfast.
the location is perfect. Quiet park square. Near tube, food, etc.... For London, the price works out great. If you need a room with a bed toilet and shower, then this is perfect. If you need a honeymoon suite look elsewhere and get a higher paying job. the rooms are not the cleanest and Bathrooms very small. But if the rooms were cleaner/ newer, or the bathrooms bigger, the price would be double
Not bad. Rooms were ok, the bathroom too; they cleaned our rooms every day and we had new and clean bathroom towels every day. The staff of the hotel was very nice: they were at our disposal for any informtion and they let us leave our luggage in the hotel the last day. The position is excellent: near the subway station and in front of Portobello Market, which is very nice to visit. The room carpet was very dirty and the all room smells terribly of dust. The breakfast was very very light with only toasts, jam, coffee and tea.
Very central location, the staff was relaxed about late check-out and leaving baggage. The toilet didn't work very well and the bed was a bit hard.
