The skin care products. In the bathroom there's a hairdrayer but no suitable plug. And you get no indoor shoes. The floor in the bathroom feels cold.
Location was great, very nice atmosphere I found cockroach in the restroom
Hotel is very nice inside and out. Rooms are great, shower and bathrooms are in excellent condition, gym is excellent. About a 5 minute walk to the metro, great view of the bridges and river from room or outside hotel. Pricey meals
This is an amazing high class hotel. You cannot ask for a better location. No rowdy/loud guests, very professional staff, superb buffet style breakfast, and modern facility. Beds are super comfortable, rooms are very quiet with blackout curtains. The only complaint I have are the rooms were small. We stayed for a week, and the space suited us fine. I was just expecting something a little bigger.
The Mondrian is a new, very upscale hotel. It is located on the water between the Tate Modern and the London Eye and very accessible to Central London. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff is excellent. I have stayed there several times. No.
Hotel was in a nice location between the Southwark and Blackfriars tube station, about 5 minute walk to either one. Room was modern and decently spacious. Loud banging noise like hammers from the floor below that woke us up at 8 am and continued for more than 30 minutes. We called down to reception, and physically went to tell the front desk. They were doing renovations! Not acceptable!!
Good location Poor front desk functioning, lack of communication between the team. Did not care about the guests request. Attempted to smooth the situation over by offering freebies, does not solve the problem.

Decent location, a little walk to Blackfriars, plenty of bus stops around, nice riverside walk. Modern and clean. The room was quiet, didn't really hear any other guests or outside noise. (Were were opposite the river so that may have helped) Room is a little small but that's to be expected.

The room was very nice and cozy. I requested a baby cot and when we checked in they told me it was ready in the room. But when we arrived in the room there was no baby cot. I called and they told me they had none left and that maybe the next day one would be available. I was really cross since I requested it in March. The following morning they brought one up for us.
The location is fantastic, 5 mins walk from Tower Bridge, 6 mins walk from London Bridge tube. Nice places to eat breakfast adjacent to the hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and modern. Room size not too bad. Good size bathroom. No noise from other rooms. Without doubt value for money and considering it's location, it's an excellent choice. I would stay there again. Considering the modernity of the hotel, I found the shower disappointing as there was only a weak powered shower head - we were expecting a power shower. Such a weak shower was out of place in such a good hotel. The dials on the shower were also loose and needed fixing. Room service was OK, except the person who brought the room service did not explain how or where to find the food in the tray - we quickly worked in out, but if it's a service she could have done more than just leave the tray in the room. But, overall, so what, we can ignore that. Apart from the disappointing shower, we thought it was an excellent choice and without doubt, value for money.
It was Clean and tidy Cost of eating in this hotel was excessive, therefore not practical, even drinks were extortionate!
An all round excellent stay We didn't stay long enough.
The hotel is peaceful, the food excellent, the rooms decor are in excellent condition and the staff were always smiling.
The fact that it was brand new was a big plus. The room was so modern and comfortable. The immediate surrounding area was clean, safe and had good restaurants. The food and drink were expensive. Coffee delivered to your room in the morning would be nice.
great hotel and kids aren't a problem..(like other hotels...!!!!)
relaxing and friendly
the food, both breakfast and the evening meal were excellent
Good location, nice and modern design, well equipped and comfortable rooms. Good value.
The hotel is in a great location for South Bank attractions (Tata Modern, Globe theatre, etc). The bed we had was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful.
The willingness of reception staff to meet last minute requests. I have never known a more obliging staff.
The range of choices at breakfast was excellent, and if an item of any kind ran out it was replaced/refilled immediately. The bedside lights are inadequate and badly sited. We might have used the restaurant, but were not attracted by the Menu.
Staff were excellent
Effecient, good quality breakfast in a non-crowded room. Attentive staff and effecient clearing of tables. Distance away from the nearest tube station.
Location, staff, foyer/access to all newspapers, breakfast. Bit noisy and room cleaning could have been better.
the staff were very attentive and helpful particularly appreciated as I am disabled. the cooked breakfast was first class as was the waitress Peter King
Great location! Its only a few blocks from the Tate museum and the southwark tube station is only like 3 blocks away; 5 min walk. also has 3 pubs close by; at least the ones i found on the walk back from the tube. If asking the staff at the front desk for a restaurant....ie: fish restaurant, they didn't have any clue of where to find a place. You would figure they would have a list or an idea of where to go. At the moment, if you like to sleep past 8AM you might have an issue with the construction in the area, makes a good amount of noise, but i did have the window open to let some fresh air in.
Booking form states free cusomer parking with no need to reserve. In fact this is limited to a very few spaces.
Easy for our onward journey No
location, clean hotel and room, light and sapcious, nice cont breakfast only "compliant" used all 4 towels only 2 given back for two of us
Clean, friendly, good location, great rooms None
Staff were very helpful and friendly Family room was a bit small. Air conditioning did not seem to work too well. Room was a bit hot a night.
Close to city center, it is convenient. Room is clean. e Extra bed is poor. Breakfast is poor.
Location Reception smelled of takeaway pizza, our card opened the wrong room on another guest, couldn't cool the room down with the air con, everything ran out at breakfast - milk, bread, tea, juice.
Location and staff freindly. Clean. Bed too soft aggravated bad back; smelly sink; poor sound proofing in very busy area. Breakfast appalling - poor choice, cheap brands, overcrowded only one toaster, TV blaring throughout. Snacks overpriced. Wi Fi priced at £5 an hour - should be free.
The location was fine for what we wanted to do and see - Tate modern for example. The bed was too small and uncomfortable and the room itself was on the small size.It would be interesting to see how it compared with a Premier Inn as regards what you get for what you pay for. A comfortable bed would have made a great deal of difference.
Clean moden hotel with pleasent staff in a good central location. Small rooms and only one very small lift
Location The internet connection was poor and uncertain in all areas of the hotl. Forcing us to find internet access other places
Nearness to our destination (family), clean, new and nice design with friendly staff. Excellent bed and shower.
Nice modern hotel Service not up to standard
If you must stay on this side of the Thames, The Bermondsey is the place to stay! The staff is fab! The other guests are super nice and friendly. And the beds! The beds on the 6th floor are the it!!! I am ordering one! I have never slept better in London than in this hotel! The room was a nice size (compared to London rooms), and their use of space was terrific - everything a girl-on-the-go-on-business needs: tea/desk/bed! Omg and the shower! I'm a soak-in-the-tub type, but their designer shower was like a lovely waterfall. Oh, and the location and ease of access was terrific! I walked everywhere! I seriously cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel, location and the experience. Just do the 6th floor...FABULOUS!
Staff was very helpful and rooms were large for the price. The water in the shower could have been a bit warmer to meet my preference.
decor in room food was not up to standard I would expect
L have to say from check in to check out (it was only one night) l found the whole experience simple wonderful. The desk staff friendly and efficient, the room was lovely and the bed (the most important bit) really comfortable. There was only one small niggle........... there seemed to be an underlining electric hum that l could hear all night, which l couldn't find the source of.
nicer hotel vs. price compared to other hotels in london that i could find Imac on the room, could borrow iphone carger and keyboard from reception:-) with no charge. Very bad sound isolated between room, could almost keep track of ordinary dialog from next door from my bed.
Very, very comfortable room, everything very new, good access into the City, all usefull services (newspaper delivered to room, free internet access, JBL ipod dock), good value for money breakfast could offer more choice (fresh rolls, juices, fruits)
The bed was very comfortable !!! Breakfast was very poor for 10 pounds !!!
hotel staff were occasionally not as helpfull as they could be but most were nice
It's location, the breakfast, clean, comfortable bed and no hassles. Would liked to have had some pictures on the walls, car park a bit dear for 24 hour stay and perhaps a map in the room.
Good position close to London Bridge tube station and Borough market. Clean and comfortable but a bit overpriced at £180 a night. breakfast continental but good.
the bed and the bathroom the breakfast not included
Good location for o2. Modern, clean. Staff friendly and helpful on front desk and in restaurant / bar. Internet kiosk in lobby wasn't working. Room small.
helpful staff , very clean room and hotel.
Clean and comfortable without frills. Good breakfast. Quiet room. Windows open.
It was close to Waterloo railway station There were a couple of issues with the room we had on Wed 25th July - one of the phones didn't work properly and the bathroom door was stuck shut
By London standards, not bad value for money when booked on the internet well in advance Dodgy shampoos, soap
the hotel was in good location and easy reach of many attractions. The hotel itself had a contempary look and feel about it,which i enjoyed ! i booked for a queen size bed but had to make do with 2 twin beds
Friendly staff, brilliant service nothing loved every minute
The vista across London No control over heating, belching out to discomfort The TV kept announcing a welcom to somone, not me The Bathroom shower leaked & a little shabby i.e hooks missing from door
Friendly staff at reception and restaurant area. Very good room service. Unprofessional staff members in the lounge bar area, rooms very small, and heating could not be adjusted.
The view from the room No 1342 was good. I have left my comments at the hotel.
Room was small, could not adjust heating, wash basin did not drain properly
complimentary wine for our wedding anniversary and shuttle bus service to and from tube station smell of stale cigarette smoke in area outside of room
pleasent staff poorly laid out tiny rooms with the worst bathroom i've ever had to use !this is not a 4* experience hotel ! breakfast in dinning room was cramped over busy ( had to que ) - overpriced , poor value for money , let's down the "Hilton" name as have stayed in other Hilton hotels in this country which have been excepeptional !
Reception team are very helpful specially the Filipino lady and Sri Lankan gentelman. I had to carry my luggage from my Taxi till reception counter while 2 bell boys were standing in the lobby and never offer assistance till i asked for it.
The staff were very friendly , professional , and efficient . We had a quick check in could not complain about anything at all. I liked the whole experience the bedroom was excellent , the breakfast was one of the best we have had in a hotel. Really would recommend this lovely hotel to any body
Thye staff were very helpful and courteous. The hotel is well placed for exploring the rehabilitation work done to the old London docks, particularly the Russia Dock which is now a delightful woodland linear park. The views from our room balcony were staright out over the Thames - really interesting. The rooms are so small that a bar fridge is available on request, not as a standard item of fitout. We discovered this when checking out. The room size is much smaller than what is expected from a Hilton hotel.
This was an excellent hotel in an excellent location. All of Waterloo and central London is expensive, but I was able to find a remarkably good deal on this hotel for a four-night stay. Service was prompt and courteous. The room was always cleaned well. No outlets in bathrooms, so don't plan on using a blowdryer or any other plug-ins. Don't order the nachos from the restaurant or for room service. I should have known better—England doesn't do Mesoamerican food, as a rule—but we tried the nachos anyway. I don't know what they were, but they weren't nachos... ...go for the burger.
Decent location to walk to central London and close to public transit for further sites. Clean, comfortable and stylish hotel. Limited space in the lobby and public area so felt crowded. No outlets in bathroom. I found a great deal compared to similar rated hotels in Central London, so saw as a good value. Wouldn't pay more than other similarly rated hotels though, nothing special.
Pleasing design excellent lighting and brightness in rooms feelinf luxury excellent breakfast very friendly and flexible staff shame sauna wasnt working
Great service and overall stay. Loved our time in London! Bathroom was a little congested and the location is a little sketchy but nothing to serious. Great place to stay!
Clean, spacious room with a storefront-sized window and a French balcony. Hotel was cozy and had an awesome rooftop bar overlooking the city. The hotel was in an area that didn't have much going on with the exception of red bus traffic that you can see and hear from your room. However, it was walking distance from some of London's best attractions and the neighborhood was safe.
Well situated hotel within walking distance to most major attractions. Helpful staff and clean, comfortable rooms made for an enjoyable long weekend away. Not too keen on the cooked breakfast. The ingredients seemed very cheap and low rate.
Clean modern hotel five minutes from Waterloo. Good breakfast selection, pleasant restaurant. Bath was slippery to stand in when taking shower, difficult to use hairdryer because of mirror location.
Hotel staff are good and helpful. They help to keep you happy. Hotel clean, new and neat. Close to Waterloo station Bed is not comfortable
Very efficient and good breakfast Returning late at night was just a tad too far from Waterloo but street well lit and busy
The hotel is perfectly placed. Only 10 min. distant to the London Eye. Very clean and confortable.
The hotel was really lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Brilliant position, close to everything. I would definitely stay here again.
very close to all major attractions and transportation. very clean and friendly staff. clean rooms. nice décor and convenience for a good value they need to upgrade their beds. Nice hotel with cheap mattresses. pillow were ok. the rest was great
Great location close to Globe theater, easy to get to central London on the subway nearby. Most of the staff was rude and difficult to deal with, didn't speak much English, and didn't seem to understand what I was asking for or needed. Breakfast and in-room services like internet and movies were extremely expensive.
Good hotel. Close to river and Bankside area, with good wallks, restaurants etc. When we arrived, there was no record of our booking and being New years eve, this was a little worrying, but after a little wait we were found a room. I booked a room in June.
Location near the business district is excellent, pleasant friendly staff and a nice breakfast buffet. Room was quite grubby, dirty walls, frayed carpet with the bathroom very cramped. Not expecting luxury but would have expected a higher standard from Novotel
only there one night but easy to reach all attractions nothing
Location was ideal. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was very good No
Hotel was modern and very clean, breakfast food and service was excellent. Reception staff were very good and helpful. Modern large bar area. The night barman was very unhelpful and gave the impression he didn't want to be there. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and we had to gather on the pavement in our pyjamas at 2 in the morning in the freezing cold.
I liked its position near the Borough market, and its proximity to major attractions. I liked that it was close in but quiet. I liked that they let me check in early after a long haul flight from Australia for no extra charge, the breakfast The pillows weren't fantastic and the internet cafe in the lobby was painfully slow and expensive.
very relaxing. nothing
location in respect of train stations considering the high rating given in your information page i feel that was way in excess of a the true rating, compared with other hotels i have booked with your company . On arrival the hotel was understaffed . The little receptionist was not only receiving , and checking out guests. she was also responsable for luggage storage. The childrens play area was also located next to the reception and the lounge area. General decoration poor .
Wonderful location, really close to London Bridge tubestation, and Southbank. Very clean, comfortable room. The poor understanding of English shown by bar staff and chambermaids.
None Cock roaches, No Hot Water, 2 out of there lights not working, door of wardrobe falling off, furniture tired, staff tried to give me a romm I did not book of lower standard
The double room was very nice, nice bathroom, i like it very much ! Good stuff. Nice coin machine for ice-cream. After two hostel some rest with my boyfriend. Nice also the Tea/Coffe service within the room. They didn't repair what we asked for the first night for the following day: the light bulb to be changed for the small light near the bed, tv cable to be fixed, and washbasin that had a plug inside. PS for us it was ok since we wouldn't have wacthed tv anyway.
Staff were helpful. Second night in different room which was unclean & unsafe with old TV. Bit of basic work would improve standards of safety & comfort.
Pleasant staff, clean comfortable bed, clean bathroom Although we appresiate decorating needs to be done... It was being done around us...the gloss was still tacky in our room the smell was very strong...
Shower worked 1, Room was not cleaned properly (used condom wrapper behind bed) 2, Room was pretty cramped (doors on the wardrobe had been taken off as they would not open as bed is in the way) 3, Sockets in the room were badly positioned so the table lamp had nowhere to plug in! 4, tv had no remote. 5, Signs of damp around the room. 6, Tap for the wash hand basin had hot and cold round the wrong way and no plug 7, Room was noisy as you could hear everyone coming up staircase and the busy road 8, No blinds on velux windows so room was too bright in the early morning when asleep 9, Breakfast room was incredibly cramped as not enough space for number of people. Queue was big so didn't have breakfast any day. 10, When checked out staff not bothered about even what room I was in!
Cheap did breakfast early Television not good
The staff are terrific, the hotel has been refurbished, money for value is excellent, and compared to several other hotels it is the best in class...the internet is great... The trick on finding it is to use a public bus ..the no 12 from oxford street or the 121 from waterloo..the tude stops are too far away...
Good value for money and a location we needed. First night we had problem with the showe(water did not drain well out) and when we said about it it was dealt with promptly. Parking very good to have. No hand towel in the bathroom, when I asked for one I was told I could not have one. Only one pillow per person, needed more. Poor reception on some of the tv channels, like itv.
The reception staff were friendly and able to assist with requests we had during our stay. No easy layout to the room numbers and staff members sent us in the wrong directions initially. Our room was in an area that i assume they were making improvements to. Dirty corridoors and a wire trailing across the floor outside our door. Inside the room was clean and tidy, but extremely hot. Our 'double' bed was 2 single beds pushed together that were quite lumpy in the middle.
It was clean and spacious and the staff couldn't do enough to make your stay the best it could be
Great location, about a 10 minute walk from Elephant and Castle Underground or grab a bus for one stop and save a few steps if you have a pass. Friendly, Helpful staff - met the owner who offered some travel tips during our chat. Price - great for London It was clean, quiet, airconditioned, and safe. Some suggest it was not the best neighbourhood but I had no troubles walking back to Elephant and Castle for dinner. I would recommend the mall restaurants. The pub tables across the street say Watch Your Bag
the fact that i was allowed to smoke in my room, parking was available and security was good. There was a fridge in the room that didnt work.
Sadly a bad experience due to possibly not been open long and a ridiculous offer at breakfast compounded by poor staff response.
i liked the fact that the fixture in the room and around the hotel were newer and more fashionable. The neighborhood was in a run down state. Meaning I would not feel comfortable walking around outside at night. Plus it is a farther walk from the Tube than they say.
the helpfull staff no toilet cleaning fluid in bathroom
The hotel was clean and comfortable, with friendly staff who did their best to assist my party with any enquiries. I booked 11 rooms for my party and no onecomlained about any of them. The area around the hotel was described by locals as not safe to be around in the evenings, This is the only reason I would not recommend this hotel.
Very clean, near from bus stop and not too expensive. Staff. Example: I asked a Jack Daniels and I got another whisky. Receptionist told me that it was cheaper. I answered that I don't mind if it is more expensive, I just want Jack Daniels. He pressed me saying that this one was better (and it was not true). Moreover when I asked him to put the glass on my bill, he told me that I had to pay directly. I suspect him to sell his own alcohol. The same for Internet: I had to pay directly (hand to hand). Another example: No "hello", no "thank you", no smile...
parking was very good. price to park was good Very noisy room by the road. Internet charges and function - logout before timne is up and you lose the remaining time and have to pay again. Breakfast quality not worth the money - time to get food was reasonable- approximatly 7 minutes.
Staff were very accomodating we arrived at 9.30am and were able to access our room within 15 minutes.
Absolutely nothing. Location was no where near Tower Bridge. Elephant and Castle, Old Kent Road, none of the taxi drivers seemed to have heard of the place which caused additional expense. In future when advertising the hotel, say it is a good 25 minute walk from Elephant and Castle Tube Station.
Location and Service We wanted to add a cot to our room and was informed that only three rooms are capable of this and our room wasn't one of them and the hotel was booked all up. If I knew this I would of asked at the time of the booking. Everything worked out in the long run because the staff were awesome and treated us like gold!
friendly staff, clean and well-furnished rooms
Helpfulness of the staff
small and quiet
Good quality at the same price level.
nice staff very clean. good size room. very good location.
Good location for shops, shows etc. Staff most welcoming on arrival. Most comfortable bed slept on for a long time! Bit disappointed on Sunday when returned from shopping, starving, before journey home to discover that kitchens were having 'deep clean' and there was only one packet of crisps available to purchase!
Convenient location specific to our trip. Room quiet and very comfortable Cooked breakfast could have been better. We should have stuck with the continental breakfast.
quiet room, cozy atmosphere, perfect location for visits to Shakespeare's Globe and Tate Modern big noisy tv in the breakfast room
Nice hotel, spacious room, everthing worked Slight delay on checkout - I had to leave early and the night porter didn't really seem geared to checking me out.
made all resv online very noisy from area nigth life
Good value for money Restuarant was not available for dinner in the evening.
Good location of this hotel in Central London. Room was filthy- bed/sheets covered with hairs from previous guests, and floor could have done with a clean.
Hotel staff willingly gave bus and metro directions. Location far from center; hard to believe it was only one k. from London "Eye;" police sirens at night; directly across from police station
Cleanliness of rooms, right between local life Not all staff master the English language, expensive breakfast. Better get it at the shops 50m out
Cosy, clean and quiet. Nothing fancy, but more than covers the basics. The area is well served by public transportation and seems perfectly safe. Previous reviewers commenting on safety clearly just don't like the sight of black people. Wi-fi was unreasonably expensive.
The location is best if you want to visit the centre of London...Also the room is nice and clean. They don't provide free WI-FI service and the fee for using WI-FI is kind of expensive to some degree.
I was asked what room I would like and what floor I would prefer meaning I was able to choose a quiet room.
Availability and location Slight shabbiness of room, noise of doors closing on corridor
Helpful staff, quiet area, close to public transport stops No elevator
the staff were helpfull, polite. bigger room television
the fact that it was near to a decent nightlife No lift, Beds were uncomfortable, Stella bottle tops left on top of wardrobe, toilet not clean, room never been hoovered under beds, only one sky channel (sport).
It was very reasonable hotel considering the price we payed. it was very basic, but comfortable, and i would stay there again. The noise level from other rooms.
Rather far from the subway station
nothing extra, clean, simple, stuff if you ask help with inofrmation and don't ask unnecessary questions or intrude, shops near, bus stop too its at main street of Camberwell and car traffic at night is laud, but that we knew allready from booking.com
Friendly staff Room very poor and not very clean
The shower. Bed was noisy and cringy. Not a good room for £60 per night.
There is a lot of eating place around the hotel The hotel situated infront the main road, so its a bit noisy at night
Very basic, dirty would never stay again, noisy was like sleeping in traffic Room dirty, hair in bed sheets , noise of traffic
dirty, unclean condition
