The room was lovely - everything you needed and amazing toiletries. The location of the hotel was ideal, a short walk from Southwark or you could walk straight out onto the Southbank. The staff were all delightful and extremely helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.
Stunning views, huge luxury bathroom with freestanding bath overlooking the city. Very comfortable bed, every comfort provided, even a warm towel when you finished swimming! Bar was quite expensive, but was to be expected
The service was outstanding from the moment we stepped out of our vehicle until the following afternoon when we left. We could not have asked for anything more. There wasn't anything not to like.
The view from the room No 1342 was good. I have left my comments at the hotel.
pleasent staff poorly laid out tiny rooms with the worst bathroom i've ever had to use !this is not a 4* experience hotel ! breakfast in dinning room was cramped over busy ( had to que ) - overpriced , poor value for money , let's down the "Hilton" name as have stayed in other Hilton hotels in this country which have been excepeptional !
Friendly staff at reception and restaurant area. Very good room service. Unprofessional staff members in the lounge bar area, rooms very small, and heating could not be adjusted.
Thye staff were very helpful and courteous. The hotel is well placed for exploring the rehabilitation work done to the old London docks, particularly the Russia Dock which is now a delightful woodland linear park. The views from our room balcony were staright out over the Thames - really interesting. The rooms are so small that a bar fridge is available on request, not as a standard item of fitout. We discovered this when checking out. The room size is much smaller than what is expected from a Hilton hotel.
The staff were very friendly , professional , and efficient . We had a quick check in could not complain about anything at all. I liked the whole experience the bedroom was excellent , the breakfast was one of the best we have had in a hotel. Really would recommend this lovely hotel to any body
Friendly staff, brilliant service nothing loved every minute
Room was small, could not adjust heating, wash basin did not drain properly
Reception team are very helpful specially the Filipino lady and Sri Lankan gentelman. I had to carry my luggage from my Taxi till reception counter while 2 bell boys were standing in the lobby and never offer assistance till i asked for it.
The vista across London No control over heating, belching out to discomfort The TV kept announcing a welcom to somone, not me The Bathroom shower leaked & a little shabby i.e hooks missing from door
None There were a number of issues prior to even arriving at the hotel - I contacted I contacted the hotel to ensure they could verify my reservation so I didn't experience any issues on arrival. I was passed from pillar to post to try and confirm this, and they were adamant that there was no reservation with my details. Another member of the team said she couldn't discuss anything with me because she didn't believe it was my booking. On arrival at the hotel, I had no internet connection. I was extremely surprised but also annoyed because prior to making the reservation, I specifically checked on the Hilton Hotels & Resorts website where it stated that Wi-Fi was complimentary in all guest rooms. Not only this, but when I went to take a shower, the bath was extremely filthy & greasy and there was no soap available to even wash my hands. For a renowned hotel chain that has an excellent reputation, I was not expecting this appalling service. Although I did contact Mr Chris Nassetta (CEO) and his team handled the matter pretty well - so that was a positive.
complimentary wine for our wedding anniversary and shuttle bus service to and from tube station smell of stale cigarette smoke in area outside of room
An all round excellent stay We didn't stay long enough.
The location is fantastic, 5 mins walk from Tower Bridge, 6 mins walk from London Bridge tube. Nice places to eat breakfast adjacent to the hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and modern. Room size not too bad. Good size bathroom. No noise from other rooms. Without doubt value for money and considering it's location, it's an excellent choice. I would stay there again. Considering the modernity of the hotel, I found the shower disappointing as there was only a weak powered shower head - we were expecting a power shower. Such a weak shower was out of place in such a good hotel. The dials on the shower were also loose and needed fixing. Room service was OK, except the person who brought the room service did not explain how or where to find the food in the tray - we quickly worked in out, but if it's a service she could have done more than just leave the tray in the room. But, overall, so what, we can ignore that. Apart from the disappointing shower, we thought it was an excellent choice and without doubt, value for money.
The room was very nice and cozy. I requested a baby cot and when we checked in they told me it was ready in the room. But when we arrived in the room there was no baby cot. I called and they told me they had none left and that maybe the next day one would be available. I was really cross since I requested it in March. The following morning they brought one up for us.
the food, both breakfast and the evening meal were excellent
The fact that it was brand new was a big plus. The room was so modern and comfortable. The immediate surrounding area was clean, safe and had good restaurants. The food and drink were expensive. Coffee delivered to your room in the morning would be nice.
Good location, nice and modern design, well equipped and comfortable rooms. Good value.
It was Clean and tidy Cost of eating in this hotel was excessive, therefore not practical, even drinks were extortionate!
The hotel is peaceful, the food excellent, the rooms decor are in excellent condition and the staff were always smiling.
relaxing and friendly
great hotel and kids aren't a problem..(like other hotels...!!!!)
Location near the business district is excellent, pleasant friendly staff and a nice breakfast buffet. Room was quite grubby, dirty walls, frayed carpet with the bathroom very cramped. Not expecting luxury but would have expected a higher standard from Novotel
very relaxing. nothing
Great location close to Globe theater, easy to get to central London on the subway nearby. Most of the staff was rude and difficult to deal with, didn't speak much English, and didn't seem to understand what I was asking for or needed. Breakfast and in-room services like internet and movies were extremely expensive.
Wonderful location, really close to London Bridge tubestation, and Southbank. Very clean, comfortable room. The poor understanding of English shown by bar staff and chambermaids.
location in respect of train stations considering the high rating given in your information page i feel that was way in excess of a the true rating, compared with other hotels i have booked with your company . On arrival the hotel was understaffed . The little receptionist was not only receiving , and checking out guests. she was also responsable for luggage storage. The childrens play area was also located next to the reception and the lounge area. General decoration poor .
I liked its position near the Borough market, and its proximity to major attractions. I liked that it was close in but quiet. I liked that they let me check in early after a long haul flight from Australia for no extra charge, the breakfast The pillows weren't fantastic and the internet cafe in the lobby was painfully slow and expensive.
only there one night but easy to reach all attractions nothing
Location was ideal. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was very good No
Hotel was modern and very clean, breakfast food and service was excellent. Reception staff were very good and helpful. Modern large bar area. The night barman was very unhelpful and gave the impression he didn't want to be there. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and we had to gather on the pavement in our pyjamas at 2 in the morning in the freezing cold.
Good hotel. Close to river and Bankside area, with good wallks, restaurants etc. When we arrived, there was no record of our booking and being New years eve, this was a little worrying, but after a little wait we were found a room. I booked a room in June.
Location, staff, foyer/access to all newspapers, breakfast. Bit noisy and room cleaning could have been better.
Great location! Its only a few blocks from the Tate museum and the southwark tube station is only like 3 blocks away; 5 min walk. also has 3 pubs close by; at least the ones i found on the walk back from the tube. If asking the staff at the front desk for a restaurant....ie: fish restaurant, they didn't have any clue of where to find a place. You would figure they would have a list or an idea of where to go. At the moment, if you like to sleep past 8AM you might have an issue with the construction in the area, makes a good amount of noise, but i did have the window open to let some fresh air in.
Effecient, good quality breakfast in a non-crowded room. Attentive staff and effecient clearing of tables. Distance away from the nearest tube station.
The hotel is in a great location for South Bank attractions (Tata Modern, Globe theatre, etc). The bed we had was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful.
Staff were excellent
the staff were very attentive and helpful particularly appreciated as I am disabled. the cooked breakfast was first class as was the waitress Peter King
The willingness of reception staff to meet last minute requests. I have never known a more obliging staff.
Booking form states free cusomer parking with no need to reserve. In fact this is limited to a very few spaces.
Easy for our onward journey No
I have nothing bad to say about the hotel, but compliments: super clean, great breakfast buffet and excellent customer service. N/A
The range of choices at breakfast was excellent, and if an item of any kind ran out it was replaced/refilled immediately. The bedside lights are inadequate and badly sited. We might have used the restaurant, but were not attracted by the Menu.
Decent location to walk to central London and close to public transit for further sites. Clean, comfortable and stylish hotel. Limited space in the lobby and public area so felt crowded. No outlets in bathroom. I found a great deal compared to similar rated hotels in Central London, so saw as a good value. Wouldn't pay more than other similarly rated hotels though, nothing special.
This was an excellent hotel in an excellent location. All of Waterloo and central London is expensive, but I was able to find a remarkably good deal on this hotel for a four-night stay. Service was prompt and courteous. The room was always cleaned well. No outlets in bathrooms, so don't plan on using a blowdryer or any other plug-ins. Don't order the nachos from the restaurant or for room service. I should have known better—England doesn't do Mesoamerican food, as a rule—but we tried the nachos anyway. I don't know what they were, but they weren't nachos... ...go for the burger.
Pleasing design excellent lighting and brightness in rooms feelinf luxury excellent breakfast very friendly and flexible staff shame sauna wasnt working
Clean, spacious room with a storefront-sized window and a French balcony. Hotel was cozy and had an awesome rooftop bar overlooking the city. The hotel was in an area that didn't have much going on with the exception of red bus traffic that you can see and hear from your room. However, it was walking distance from some of London's best attractions and the neighborhood was safe.
Clean modern hotel five minutes from Waterloo. Good breakfast selection, pleasant restaurant. Bath was slippery to stand in when taking shower, difficult to use hairdryer because of mirror location.
Great service and overall stay. Loved our time in London! Bathroom was a little congested and the location is a little sketchy but nothing to serious. Great place to stay!
The hotel is perfectly placed. Only 10 min. distant to the London Eye. Very clean and confortable.
very close to all major attractions and transportation. very clean and friendly staff. clean rooms. nice décor and convenience for a good value they need to upgrade their beds. Nice hotel with cheap mattresses. pillow were ok. the rest was great
Well situated hotel within walking distance to most major attractions. Helpful staff and clean, comfortable rooms made for an enjoyable long weekend away. Not too keen on the cooked breakfast. The ingredients seemed very cheap and low rate.
The hotel was really lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Brilliant position, close to everything. I would definitely stay here again.
Very efficient and good breakfast Returning late at night was just a tad too far from Waterloo but street well lit and busy
Hotel staff are good and helpful. They help to keep you happy. Hotel clean, new and neat. Close to Waterloo station Bed is not comfortable
If you must stay on this side of the Thames, The Bermondsey is the place to stay! The staff is fab! The other guests are super nice and friendly. And the beds! The beds on the 6th floor are the it!!! I am ordering one! I have never slept better in London than in this hotel! The room was a nice size (compared to London rooms), and their use of space was terrific - everything a girl-on-the-go-on-business needs: tea/desk/bed! Omg and the shower! I'm a soak-in-the-tub type, but their designer shower was like a lovely waterfall. Oh, and the location and ease of access was terrific! I walked everywhere! I seriously cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel, location and the experience. Just do the 6th floor...FABULOUS!
The bed was very comfortable !!! Breakfast was very poor for 10 pounds !!!
nicer hotel vs. price compared to other hotels in london that i could find Imac on the room, could borrow iphone carger and keyboard from reception:-) with no charge. Very bad sound isolated between room, could almost keep track of ordinary dialog from next door from my bed.
Nice modern hotel Service not up to standard
Very, very comfortable room, everything very new, good access into the City, all usefull services (newspaper delivered to room, free internet access, JBL ipod dock), good value for money breakfast could offer more choice (fresh rolls, juices, fruits)
L have to say from check in to check out (it was only one night) l found the whole experience simple wonderful. The desk staff friendly and efficient, the room was lovely and the bed (the most important bit) really comfortable. There was only one small niggle........... there seemed to be an underlining electric hum that l could hear all night, which l couldn't find the source of.
Location The internet connection was poor and uncertain in all areas of the hotl. Forcing us to find internet access other places
Nearness to our destination (family), clean, new and nice design with friendly staff. Excellent bed and shower.
decor in room food was not up to standard I would expect
Staff was very helpful and rooms were large for the price. The water in the shower could have been a bit warmer to meet my preference.
Convenience of location; early breakfast on a Saturday
free upgrade was great, lovely breakfast, comfortable bed, nice clean room
modern facilities but the room was a bit small location wasn't that good for central London but fine for City and Tower etc.
the location is perfect for an event at O2 arena nothing
The large room & comfortable bed Poor bar
rooms were small
very well equipped rooms and comfortable beds.Lots of nice freebie smellies! noise from the building site opposite-not the hotel's fault of course.
Breakfast The flushing device in the bathroom was broken
I liked the firedliness of the staff and especially the brilliant location.
We picked this hotel as it was near to Tate Modern. We liked the sound of family run hotel. We were very disappointed. The room was expensive, but it was very small (twin). There were only 2 small bottles of shampoo/bath gel. One bed had no sheet on it. The view from our room was onto a building site. All in all we felt it was a rip off.
close to tourist attractions
Staff were very helpful. Room was comfortable with a nice couch as well as bed. Close to a Cooperative store which meant Icould buy food for breakfast lunch etc. dry cleaner nearby for laundry. Expensive, but all of London was expensive. Wish they had bus schedules and train/Underground schedules onsite. Wireless should have been included, given how expensive the room was.
The hotel is in a very central location and is great value for money.
Very comfortalbe bed.
The hotel staff was nice and helpful; good value for money Perhaps being a bit picky, but I found the desk space in my hotel room quite limited (no sufficient depth to work on a laptop with some papers in front); also the chair wasn't very comfortable
The opening hours of the resterant and bar particularly. Comfortable rooms, intuitive service
the choice of food for breakfast If you wanted a latte for breakfast you had to pay for it - this wasn't the case when I have stayed at another premier inn previously. the breakfast area i.e where all the food is was too small and why do premier inn put their toating machines in such stupid places that obstruct others - the ones here were just inside the main 'walkthrough area ' with not much room. Why is there no safe in the rooms ?
Overall excellant unfortunately the only thing to complain about was that the prevIous occupance had been sick! And it had been missed in cleaning the room before we arrived and was still down the side of the bed!!!! It was not pleasant. There was nothing I didnt like a
Confortable facility, good restaurant
nice bathroom and room a bit long to walk from the underground
The breakfast experience, the way the staff dealt with a sudden surge of guests was worthy of congratulation. At times, it seemed that the restaurant area was too small. One comment, which was not really concerning the hotel staff, I booked a taxi at reception for a journey across Tower Bridge to attend a function at Trinity House on Tower Hill. The Taxi driver wqas waiting in the foyer when we came from our room, and we made the journey, apart from the fact that I had to direct the taxi driver past Fenchurch Street station, and there was no meter, I was charged £14 for the priviledge, when I was expecting about £4 ! I must have been slow that night, as I have done hundreds of taxi journeys in various countries, and have never had cause to complain about the fare before! Maybe my pride is hurt, that I did not complain to the driver this time, as it was pouring with rain, and we were in a row of taxis.
Location and Service We wanted to add a cot to our room and was informed that only three rooms are capable of this and our room wasn't one of them and the hotel was booked all up. If I knew this I would of asked at the time of the booking. Everything worked out in the long run because the staff were awesome and treated us like gold!
friendly staff, clean and well-furnished rooms
Good quality at the same price level.
small and quiet
Helpfulness of the staff
Nice hotel, spacious room, everthing worked Slight delay on checkout - I had to leave early and the night porter didn't really seem geared to checking me out.
Good location for shops, shows etc. Staff most welcoming on arrival. Most comfortable bed slept on for a long time! Bit disappointed on Sunday when returned from shopping, starving, before journey home to discover that kitchens were having 'deep clean' and there was only one packet of crisps available to purchase!
nice staff very clean. good size room. very good location.
Convenient location specific to our trip. Room quiet and very comfortable Cooked breakfast could have been better. We should have stuck with the continental breakfast.
quiet room, cozy atmosphere, perfect location for visits to Shakespeare's Globe and Tate Modern big noisy tv in the breakfast room
Good position close to London Bridge tube station and Borough market. Clean and comfortable but a bit overpriced at £180 a night. breakfast continental but good.
the hotel was in good location and easy reach of many attractions. The hotel itself had a contempary look and feel about it,which i enjoyed ! i booked for a queen size bed but had to make do with 2 twin beds
It was close to Waterloo railway station There were a couple of issues with the room we had on Wed 25th July - one of the phones didn't work properly and the bathroom door was stuck shut
helpful staff , very clean room and hotel.
By London standards, not bad value for money when booked on the internet well in advance Dodgy shampoos, soap
the bed and the bathroom the breakfast not included
It's location, the breakfast, clean, comfortable bed and no hassles. Would liked to have had some pictures on the walls, car park a bit dear for 24 hour stay and perhaps a map in the room.
hotel staff were occasionally not as helpfull as they could be but most were nice
Good location for o2. Modern, clean. Staff friendly and helpful on front desk and in restaurant / bar. Internet kiosk in lobby wasn't working. Room small.
Clean and comfortable without frills. Good breakfast. Quiet room. Windows open.
The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely shower. We also enjoyed the soft, white fluffy towels! You could hear people walking in the corridor, or talking, but this wasn't a real problem, as most people were reasonably quiet.
The modern, clean and tasteful facilities. sound was going on a very old outdated TV in my room, which was anoying as i spent two night in my room, a digital upgrade would be advised.
The outside of the hotel was deceptive. I was pleasantly surprised by our room, it was clean and cosy and the staff were really nice. Having what seemed to be the furthest room away, there was no lift and the stairs were quite steep, so carrying suitcases up and down was quite tricky.
The room were was very clean. It was situated central for our doings. The staff was kind and helpfull. The banging of the door (there was automatic closure on).
Literally next door to borough tube stop. Very convenient to northern line. Internet access should be free but is instead very expensive. They called me immediately after booking to tell me there were going to charge right away rather than when I got there (because I was booking for 4 nights). This is stated somewhat, but not very clearly.
Good location on the Northern line, small rooms but bed was comfortable... all in all it was Ok for the money.
The room was small but perfectly good for an overnight stay. The hotel was clean throughout, the bed was comfortable and the room I had was quiet. The shared bathroom was also clean and tidy and I didn't have to wait to use it at any point. I paid just £59 for the room, which I think is great value for money given the location. There is no parking near the hotel, which was a problem given that I had to drive. If you are planning a stay here, come via train; Borough Underground station is literally next door to the hotel!
The quality of the room was excellent Slightly grotty entrance/reception area but room more than compensated
No food and not knowing until i got there. Poor bed, no air conditioning and loud generator outside bedroom window
