the room designe , the the food the break fast
Nicest room I've ever had in London - really spacious, stylish and completely sound-proofed. Nice restaurant with good choices and prices. Friendly staff. A couple of things not as per info when booking - luxury mini bar, contained 2 bottles of water - not what I was expecting; no iron - although brought to the room when asked for. A bit disappointed with pool area - much smaller than expected - so felt crowed with 10 people around it.
The spa and large bed. No parking dicounts.
Very clean rooms and also a good size. Helpful and friendly staff. Lovely pool and facilities. I found the breakfast a little pricey, but apart from that there where no bad points.
The location was very great. An easy walk to Sloane Square, The Kings Road, Knightsbridge etc. The room was luxurious and comfortable and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a fantastic suite. The staff were helpful, friendly and having a car park was also a massive benefit. The food in the restaurant was also very good.
Ease of booking in process, polite staff and was within walking distance of victoria station.
Very good value, high quality London hotel None
All summarized above 7.5 charge for room service. Terrible phone reception in rooms. No free wireless in rooms. Extremely overpriced food.
Efficient but friendly N/A
There was a really good hairdryer provided by the hotel, but the plug sockets were nowhere near the mirror.
Fixtures & Fittings in all areas were top class. Overall view of hotel once there, very good. Hotel was a little hard to find and not even very obvious once you're outside it. As the hotel is so far from any public transport, better provision should be in place for providing guests with taxi'S. Thought could even be given to providing transport from major Train stations (this could be booked in advance for a competitive fee). With regard to the room itself, whilst it was excellent I would have expected a superior room to be a bit larger, also there were no instructions for any of the appliances - operation of the shower was trial and error and turning off the air conditioning/heating fan appeared to be impossible.
Staff was very friendly. Free local shuttles to metro. Rooms were large. Hotel seemed far away from main sight seeing. Hotel lighting was very low.
Excellent quality of room and hotel. Air conditioning very noisy but I couldn't find out how to turn it off. I booked a wake up call which didn't come. Finally there was supposed to be an ipod docking station in the room which was missing (however the staff brought be one very swiftly which was much appreciated)
Staff very helpful and always smiling. Room amazing facilities for the price and free, regular hotel shuttle to local train station The shower was often cold but I did not report it to them as I just had a bath instead. Im sure if I had they would have fixed it quickly.
Staff were very helpful and our room was extremely clean. The hotel transfer service to Clapham Junction is a big help for getting around. All in all a very enjoyable experience.
Comfortable sylish modern rooms newly furnished. Staff were helpful, but the hotel has a less formal feel than a major five-star. Did not use the comprehensive spa and other facilities offered. Location is poor in terms of aesthetics, the nearest neighbours being builders merchants and commercial storage facilities. Despite the river view, there are nicer locations to stay. Would recommend a car, as the parking is only charged at £10 per day. Otherwise, buses and taxis are required to reach any tourist areas.
Excellent value luxury hotel, great restaurant, wonderful room with an amazing view of the river. slightly disappoint by a wet patch on the hotel room carpet when I first got into the room
The Service, space and decor was to quote our 15 yr old "awesome" Nothing spoilt this trip
The room was very comfortable and the facilities were excellent
The hotel suite was amazing I would stop here again!
Super-friendly and professional staff at all times. Modern and very tasteful interior.
Excellent, clean, hotel with superb service. Great views from bar. Restaurant menu choice very good. Restaurant lacks ambience. No milk in room for drinks. No instructions for coffee machine. Traffic to hotel grid locked in late afternoon - takes ages. It is a 1 mile walk to the nearest station.
The food was excellent, I made an order for room service which was very speedy. We also received an upgrade to our rooms, which was a very welcomed surprise. The view was amazing too. Pre-authorisation was already taken for extras, however we were constantly being pestered for the cost of room service. This definitely shouldn't have been the case.
Excellent Von Essen hospitality. Quiet hotel, very clean and well kept. Isolated location. Poor atmosphere in restaurant - veru open and atypical of the rest of the building.
staff Excellent especially the Duty Manager Oliver.
Hotel is great up to standard 5* Even though there was mistake for room with other people But overall we re happy Staff are great Especially Reuben very nice kind and patience Recommended.especially if you want to see Chelsea Stadium
Superb design (classy & evocative of early era of flying), very professional yet relaxed staff
Shower in Room 58 in an impractical location to use properly
Air conditioning in our room was a bonus, having spoken to other family and guests in the hotel I think our room may have been the only one with air con. Some rooms are very cramped and poorly equiped.
Breakfasts were very good No
you had to bend double under theeved ceiling to get under the shower
The hotel was clean, nice, confortable and close to the tube even if not in the centre. Staff was kind, in general, especially Katarina Far from the centre
staff and excellent breakfast The room was too small for an executive room
Quiet considering it is so near to Putney High Street, the breakfast was lovely as were the staff
Everyone was very helpful, the room was an excellent size, and we had a blast staying in London, east putney.
comfortable , breakfast lovely, good location.very happy with our stay. found the key code system for the bedroom doors unsatisfactory, very difficult to access at times.radiators very noisy st times during the night
location, ease of use, price no
Room maids walking in my room at 9am on a Sunday morning (twice) even though I had a DND sign on door. Spoiled the whole experience!
very expensive if room has single occupensey
Staff very good and helpful regarding information on local services and ordering taxis when requested. No drawers to put small items of clothing or posessions, but facilities good otherwise.
easy access to transportations, good breakfirst, and room was nicely seized for 2
Very quiet room. Sausages at breakfast The breakfast on Sunday was too crowded - no room to sit down. Went back to room to wait for crowd to die down. If we had been on a tight schedule we may have had to miss breakfast out all together which would have definitely been a big negative mark against your hotel.
Value for money Breakfast
woken up by staff moving beer kegs at 6 am just outside window. Breakfast was abysmal, all the food was terrible and worse than I would expect at a 1 star B&B. Very unimpressed with Holiday Inn, very poor value for money.
The staff was friendly and helpful; the rooms are super clean!
Clean, Comfortable Some staff seemed fairly unfriendly
Room of good standard, clean and comfortable As above
Good value, food and welcome Booking through hotel booking site was awkward - but now have details for direct booking
Fantastic breakfast, very nice pub area downstairs with comfortable great meeting space. Free easy WIFI decent room. Room a bit noisy due to proximity to busy road and too hot - and I didn't want to open the window cos of the noise - should have turned off the heat!
Good food. Pleasant room. Staff helpful and polite. None
The very friendly staff
The room was spacious, comfortable and well designed. The tiles around the bath were dirty. Walking through the bar to get to 'reception'.
I would like to thank the lady on reception for her help and assistance. She was friendly and polite and made us feel very at ease as did the waitress .We had requested early check in as we needed to change to attend a funeral this was all arranged for us .( I know it is not always possible).Room was spacious and only a short walk from the station.Breakfast was excellent and I would be more than happy to stay there again.
Everything worked was in good order. There was clearly lots of thought shown to lay out and extras - biscuits, books etc. Breakfast was excellent. Exterior belies the excellent hotel within
I used the hotel as a base to visit family in the arera and I found the staff welcoming. We had a nice clean room at the back of the hotel which was quietly positioned. We ate one night in the hotel and enjoyed the food.
Very accommodating staff, delicious breakfast, comfortable bed and spacious room.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Dining area lovely and food excellent Very small car park. Situated on a very busy street. Constant traffic noise.
Friendliness of reception staff Proximity to tube station Not being warned at check-in that we had to pre-order breakfast
Cleanliness Traffic noise
the hotel has just been renovated so everything (bed, shower etc...) is new and clean! my room was cold
Clean & comfortable
would have preferred a room with some light we were in the basement room
Location was convenient for my requirements. Room was very clean and comfortable. The room was very exposed to traffic noise. Parking was very limited. More specific arrangements to ensure parking is available would be beneficial.
It was close to the Underground station, and in a nice neighbourhood. It is on a very busy street, and the underground travels directly under the hotel. Very noisy.
Good sized room, well equipped with flat screen tv and powerful shower. Tidy decor and at £65.00 for a twin excellent value for money in London
Location good, close to Tube. Decent sized room. None as such.
Reason for stay was to go to Freeze festival at Battersea Power Station and had a nightmare finding anything that looked any good as most places closer were booked. Very pleased that the room was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. Close to an M&S, tube and a few cafe/bars which was good in the mornings and coming back for a nightcap before hitting the hay. Shower was broken so had to hold the shower by hand which was a little annoying and just needed a simple screwdriver to fix. Both bed side lights did not work, again just the case of changing bulbs. It is noisy but I used to live in the East end which is about 10 times worse and it is double glazed. Highly recommend for a budget weekend away in the city!
The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very spacious. I've seen reviews of it being run down but I thought the rooms were bright and airy and clean and simple. There's evidence of wear and tear but not much. No cafe/restaurant for breakfast so only got a "breakfast box" which was basic. We booked two rooms and weren't put next to each other, but down a separate hallway.
