The breakfast was good and plenty of it with very efficient staff on hand. The space in the bedroom and ensuite was a bit tight.
friendly staff rooms were smaller than picture might indicate
Excellent service, general cleanliness, convenient location, good selection at breakfast and very competitively priced Bed was rather too hard for our liking, and rooms are very small.
The proximity to Euston Station. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was convenient and no-fuss
close to london centre and tube station lack of parking, close to hospital
Very convienient location, easy acces by tube, good breakfast small room
Although very small the room and bathroom were very clean and tidy. For the price paid the room was tiny. The traffic noise from outside was incredibly loud. The main reception of the hotel was shabby and the glass front doors had been smashed and were held together with tape.
the breakfast is perfect. the cleanlesss of our room was ok. room was so small.
bar staff very good plus reception to much road noise from police and ambulances
The convenient location - this made all of the difficulties and disappointments worthwhile (just about) The very small room, the shower that doesn't spray, the television that doesn't work - and the rather unpleasant smell in corridors and dining room.
The room was beautifully presented but the double bed was two beds pushed together which resulted in a deep groove between the two beds. So it wasn't as comfortable as you'd expect
Very pleasant hotel and staff
The room was very small, but entirely functional. As I was on my own, it exactly met with my requirements. Quite a lot of night time traffic.
the location was suitable for my needs, the hotel staff very kind my room was too small
The staff was excellent -- very accomodating. The room decor was pleasing and the location was great (close to a tube station, and lots of restaurants and pubs in the immediate area). Noise from the underground trains kept us awake when we stayed in a room at the back of the hotel, but staff were happy to switch us to a room at the front of the hotel, which was much quieter.
We liked the refurnished rooms, very clean and beutiful. The continental breakfast was very good and the service at the breakfast room very good! The location near Earls Court Underground is very convenient. I tryed to get in contact through e-mail in beforehand to see if I could have a large room but I didnt get any answer from the hotel. If you are easily disturbed by noice you should ask for a room on the frontside to the street, because on the backside you hear the trains coming and going. For us it was no problem, but it could be for other persons.
Very good location in London.Efficient reception staff . When I arrived I got the 4 W appartment - a nightmare.Smelly, messy, cold, no telephone, bad TV, dirty cups on the cupboard..etc ..Then, after complaints they changed me to a nicer one - and I was happy - nice reception staff. So whatever you do , stay away from 4W ! (Breakfast- very basic and lack of space)
We were in the apartment part of the Mayflower. We had booked an efficiency room and they gave us a free upgrade to a one-bedroom, which was great! It was located very near tube station in a nice area.
Staff lovely. Hotel bedrooms way too hot and back bedrooms very noisy. Windows would benefit from double glazing keeping outdoor noise down and perhaps enabling heating to be turned down
decent staffs and breakfast, very mordern probably refurnbished recently... a good location near the station as well... room and bathroom are quite small, quite noisy because it was near the station and close to roads
second time that i overnight there, this time i got an apartment that it is quite nice even if it is in the basement. not so much to say. fair hotel, they have to do something for the breakfast room there is not space to pass true tables
Basic, clean and functional. The bathroom was not brilliant, an installed wet room with no lock on the door and the shower was not good. Hot water went off for a short period. I was told that this is usual if a lot of people in the hotel use the showers at the same time. In the Midlands this would classed as a Bed & Breakfast, not a hotel. The bathroom was far too basic considering the money paid for the room, even for London.
Our room was situated at the back of the hotel and was so quiet - no traffic noise at all. Room was very small
Nice location - near Victoria Station The bathroom was the smallest bathroom I've ever seen, no joke, like 3 foot by 3 foot; you were basically in the shower if you were on the toilet. There was just a curtain for the shower, not like an actual shower that you step into. But it was doable for the situation.
the location of the hotel - near victoria station too many doors
I was given a quiet room at the back of the hotel with all that I needed. It was clean & comfortable. Breakfast good & plentiful. The breakfast room could have been larger and the servery very congested.
Good location. The room was clean but the window would not close properly, the bathroomwas not fit to be used by a family its size was tiny. The breakfast facilities were not big enough and turned into a joke when the toaster broke down and the fire alarm was activated.
good location - clean room plus small shower room stain on blanket - dirty towels outside room
central position, cleanness very, very small room, everything had to remain in luggages :-(
Good location, not expensive. Good breakfast. Do not use the internet on lobby, it will only take your money and won't help with real surfing, just rubbish publicity.
Good location for my visit and good value for London. Basic but quite adequate for what we wanted. Nothing.
Parking was difficult.
the members of staff were very helpful with all our questions, the hotel was easy to find and close to many public transport stops, tube, bus and train. The room was clean. The breakfast room is very crowded and clearly too small for this size hotel. Nothing too bad but that means the starts a little bit more hectic than it needs to.
As someone who prefers a full English Breakfast I was suprised at who much I enjoyed the buffet continental breakfast provided.
I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. The room and bathroom were big. After staying in some other London hotels this issue bacame crucial (even double rooms I stayed before were all much smaller). My room was double standard (not special double which was cheaper) #403 (it was in the hotel main buidling, not apartments). It was clean, the stuff was friendly and helpful. There was a lift in the hotel. Can't say anything about the breakfast served - never had this. The lady at the reception charged my credit card for the whole period at check-in (by mistake she said), but it didn't dusturb me. She however confirmed should I needed an earlier check-out I would need to give a 24-hour notice, and they would refund it sraightaway.
Staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed in an apartment, which was a great size, the kitchen facilities were very good, but the apartment itself was a little 'tired' - could have done with new carpet/curtains and the sofa looked well used, too. This is not to say that it wasn't comfortable! Indeed, because we're working in the area, we've booked a further week.
Location. The hotel is not far from the tube station and one of not many hotels in that area. The hotel leaves much more to be desired. Personnel is not trained well enough. I would expect more friendliness and more customer care for the money I payed. The hotel definetely requires serious refurbishment, staff training, improvements in the services area and so on.
I loved that the hotel was outside the city but only a few tube stops from Central London. The neighborhood was wonderful. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment and it was perfect for my family's week-long holiday.
pleanty of hot water! furniture old and dirty, kitchen was also dirty.
Magnificent buffet breakfast. Efficient check in & out. Bath bottom was slippery away from the tap/shower end after showering. Also could do with a handrail to grab if one slipped, and to help us oldies to get up to get out of the bath.
Very quiet and convenient to underground and airport bus. Friendly service and good breakfast We were disappointed that as a 3-star hotel, they did not have free internet service
position to Hyde Park substandard level of cleanliness poorly laundered bedding broken lightbulbs poor help in dining room untrained staff at breakfast
the staff were friendly, were clean!! checked in after checkin time, but room werent ready told to go back in half an hour which we did longer than the time and still got in and had to wait a further 15mins.
It was close to the venue we had a function at The hotel card reader didnt work and they were very unhelpful in fixing the situation. When we went back the hotel was locked and it took 30 mins to open even though we were ringing the door bell. We eventually had to talk to the hotel next door to get them to ring them to open it for us.
Very friendly and helpful staff. The guys would actually go above and beyond to accomodate and meet your needs. Rooms are smaller but recently renovated and clean. Water supply was exellent. No bothersome street noise even though the hotel is on a busy street. Location is great -- very close to several tube stations. Parking at the hotel was a bit tight but OK overall... Would definitely recommend it and would easily book with them again.
The location, price
Friendly staff, nice room. Room was very very hot and I was unable to turn down radiator..phew!!!!. I'm sure the staff would have tried to help if I had requested, but I didn't.
Very nice location, staff was friendly, small breakfast available. Small room for backpack travelers, not so expensive. Wifi doesn't work in the room as advertised, cold water in the bathroom, not so very clean.
Friendly and helpful
The staff were very accommodating, the room and bathroom were glorious, very well maintained and clean. There was only one fly in the ointment, the wardrobe space had been gloss painted and my partner got paint on his jacket. We did not complain as everything else was perfect.
the access to the station Paddington the breakfast was poor
the room was clean breakfast good, fruit, eggs, cereals, etc. City center. the room was toooo smalllll the shower bath was broken, decoration was horrible.
Good location- not far from tube. Room had ample space for one person. The folding camp-bed shoe-horned in at the foot of the bed was good to use as a suitcase stand!! All the kit you like to find in a hotel room was there (although very basic complementary toiletries). Nice bedding and soft furnishings. Cosy bed. Nice, snug and warm. (and a fan in the room in case it got too hot) This room (17) obviously used for 3 people...Cripes!!! Its a little small for 3 peoples stuff! The rug was heavily stained- not sure why its there if its so shabby when the lamanate wood flooring underneath is fine? Room very clean but hallway and stairs carpets dirty. Obviously a small problem with plumbing on 3rd floor. Water pressure in shower is poor, and despite having no issues overnight, 30 mins prior to departure, the room next door could be heard using the bathroom and a very unfortunate toilet smell engulphed my room!! Horrid!!
Location and price Shower -bath cabin condition
Staff friendly.Clean room.Great location.Great view The shower pressure was bad at times. We stayed in the only room at the very top of the hotel which had great views but was very tiring to climb to ,especially as I had requested a low floor room as two of us has bad athritus which hinders walking up stairs. No lift.
. Good value for a London hotel, handy location very close to paddington tube. The breakfast is good, the hotel is immaculate and the staff lovely. Sometimes the hotel is the worst bit of staying in London, but you actually want to spend time in the ABC Hyde park. Love it!. highly recommended
The check in process was quick and effective. The hotel was clean and served the purpose needed. If you're going to london you probably wont be spending that much time in your hotel anyway so for the price you can't go wrong!
Very good location, staff friendly , rooms very cleaned and well equipped, clean linen every day, good breakfast. Nice decoration. Surroundings very nice for restaurants. Walking distance from Oxford street, 10 min.
The bathroom, in-room coffee They wanted me to pay a 5% surcharge for paying with my credit card, although that was nowhere mentioned in their ad or the documents they sent me. I did not pay it, and they did not insist. There was no alarm clock in the room. The phone was not working.
Zona 1, good location. The heating points didn't work.We had to change hotel beacuse there were not available rooms for the 2nd nigth, when we did the booking almost 2 months before the travel.
It's very near to the bus station and underground station. The elevator didn't work, there was no hairdryer.
Location good, booking is good for a short time So much noisy,So much noisy,So much noisy....
Condition of the ensuite showeroom. The room was in a poor state of repair, and very damp.
friendliness of staff, location (near an underground station)
Location No Hot Water at 08.00am on a Weekday morning
The smell in the rooms. Thin pillows. Very poor TV reception.
About the booking: it was easy, simple and clear about the hotel : it was possible to arrive before the scheduled time Beware, dodgy hotel. Our room was visited while we were away and money diappeared. They offered us (after much insistence on our part for a solution) another room in an other hotel, which was absolutely filthy, noisy etc. they knew we were only staying one night so we were easy prey and no time to complain to the police etc.. be careful if you stay there.
Bedding/room very clean. Location was suitable for our purpose. Reception staff were extremely unhelpful to the point of rudeness. They need to learn how to deal with customers in a friendly professional manner: make eye contact, speak up clearly, smiles would be nice too!
parking facilities bad service at reception during daytime,
that the room was clean i feltc cold with no heating, noisy at the ealy morning
it was in a central place near the metro station very easy to reach it. the window did not close well. I should put the towel at the gap of the window to stop the cold wind coming in. I do not know if it is a system of british people or of the hotel to sleep with the windows half opened but I really had 3 cold nights.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was what I expected from the guest reviews on the website. Nice hot showers.
proximity to Paddington Station and underground, breakfast included, safe area, easy to get everywhere from there small room but we were not there enough for that to be a problem. You would not relax at the hotel in such a small room. It was perfectr for a trip to see London and to be on the go most of the time.
Cardiff hotel perfectly suits “Bad and breakfast” definition. You have a decent breakfast and go to London, returning late just to have a sleep in a fairly comfortable room. There is amiable and attentive staff on reception and in the canteen, friendly atmosphere. I was nicely surprised to find out that the hotel upgraded my room booking for the same price. Cooked breakfast was OK - enough calories for the half of the day stroll around the city; fair choice of cereals, canteen was clean, tables were laid nicely. Room was tiny, but very tidy, TV worked OK, as well as a shower and bath. Location is excellent, suitable for London walks as well as trips to other regions (from Paddington station is 3 min-s walk). Kensington gardens and Hyde park are only 10 minutes walk. Excellent choice for a weekend in London. Staicases were steep - scary!
Clean and convenient as it is located close to the underground tube station.Good breakfast.
The very best reception in London!!! No complaints at all.
The location and the friedliness of the staff Rooms too small, exensive
The fact that the staff was so friendly and so very helpful. A girl, Leila, at the front desk went out of her way to help me with my luggage. This was so much appreciated. No, not really.
close to underground for the west end.good price.
Quiet room with excellent tv. Only bad point was breakfast on Sunday doesn't start until 8.00am. I arranged for a 7.30 breakfast when I was checking in but the message wasn't passed on to the morning staff and so it wasn't ready. The morning staff were tho' V. obliging and quickly caught up.
Fantastic location, close to the tube / bus stop / Paddington Train Station and all the London attractions. Beautiful hotel & the staff were amazing. No bad points at all.
Great tv with dvd Breakfast not served until 8.00am on weekends
Quit, in order and nice hotel with polite staff. The rooms are very smal.
Early check-in, close to railwai station / underground, proper room, good shower
My Paddington train had been unexpectedly cancelled, so I was not in the best mood when I arrived -- but the woman behind the desk was so friendly & understanding, the room so clean and cozy [and larger than I had anticipated] -- and the proximity to Paddington for my journey the following morning left me really grateful this place was handy! The shower never got above lukewarm... it certainly helped me wake up!
The hotel had no lift .I am a woman travelling alone and I had to carry the luggage up the stairs alone. In the hotel advert never specified that the hotel had no lift. So the price I paid was too much for this kind of hotel.
Location, cleanliness, bathroom, new facilities, free continental breakfast Only 2 tv channels, bbc1 & bbc2
Really nice room Very little hot water
Very clean. Staff friendly .
Convenient location. Room did not match the photograph. Bed uncomfortable. WIFI did not work properly. Room facilities quite poor
Location Room is too small, even for 1 person
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Free wireless internet in the rooms. Breakfast was provided. Could leave our luggage on day of departure. Good location to the tube.
Near from Rail Station New furniture
Good location close to station and transport
Excellent wifi network and good Breakfast Yes, there was no telephone extension/ facilities in the room and as such I couldn't give anybody a telephone no to contact me while I was at the hotel. Furthermore, the Central Telephone at the reception couldn't connect the rooms. Try to improve on this area.
Room was a good size and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was plentiful. None working tv and noisy neighbours.
Good location. It is just 7-8 minutes from King's Cross Station. Room is too small. Traffic Noise is a problem. Redecoration of the rooms is required.
nice staff, good comfort, not far from the underground the room was quite small
nothing at the front of the building on a busy road and did not sleep for one minute the time due to the noice of the traffic
Simple, not luxurious, but I love it! I've been two years in a row, now, and I'd gladly go back.
Really well located, with a pleasant outlook. My room had been freshly painted and although small, it was quite comfortable. Having complimentary wireless throughout the hotel meant that I could catch up with my emails after a long journey.
The environment Could do with a good refurbishing. Looks quite shabby.
The hotel is one which I would describe in London as small inn to sleep... Nothing fancy just room to sleep and breakfast for the morning. Also free Wifi is becoming more and more as normal in such London hotels. However Wifi could have worked better, a bit weak was signal in my room. However Wifi could have worked better, a bit weak was signal in my room.
quiet place the windows did not close completely.
Poor service from the hotel Ingeneral none
Room was ok for a familly of 4. Very clean, simple, extremly quite. Very good location, walking distance from St Pancras. Just a little delay at the breakfast.
It was an appalling experience with no redeaming qualities Bathroom door would not close in triple room, shower did not work properly, not hot water, dirty socks on the floor, no hairdryer in room, no pillow case on spare pillow, dining area could not accommodate the guests, breakfast was fit for consumption, lengthy delays for a breakfast table and further lengthy dealys for food, single rooms too small - overall horified that people are expected to pay for such bad service
The staff were very courteous and nothing was too much trouble. I had read some bad reviews but I cannot fault the service I received. No Complaints
excellent, quiet location a little bit dated
Friendly staff, superfast breakfast service, quiet location convenient for Kings Cross Our room was a divided room with partition wall with poor or non-existent soundproofing. This may not always be a problem but we were unlucky in that our neighbour was talking on his webcam at 3AM and we had to knock on the wall to get him to be quiet.
Big screen TV Bedsprings were sticking out of the bed in room 207. Moved to room 209 for second night but the bed linen was dirty/had not been changed from the previous occupants (there were actually pubic hairs in th sheets). We ended up sleeping on top of the bed both nights. Carpet was badly stained. All the Reception staff are foreigners and are barely able to english - the atmosphere was not welcoming/friendly.
Lovely furnished rooms Breakfast room very small for number of rooms
room cleaning and new towels every day, located close to Victoria station and many shops the stairs: over 40 tight narrow steps for upper floor rooms, the ceiling: you could reach it with your head if you are about 2m high, breakfast: poor and tiny breakfast room, tiny bathroom cabin, defenatly not worthing the price
Convenient. Small breakfast area.
great rooms and location...warning !!... the stairs to the rooms are very steep narrow and challenging..no way that older or less mobile people could stay here ...in other countries I doubt it would be legal to have stiars so difficult in a public building... the stairs
It's a great location and the staff were friendly. Our room had a torn unclean carpet. The room was small for three people. We had a bloodstain on our undersheet and a badly stained matress we discovered the next day. The room had an off smell. We had booked for 3 days but left straight after the first night. We will never stay here again and I suggest you don't there are plenty of nice hotels in the area. If you want to see photos see my trip advisor post.
the room was very clean and spacious. The let us store our bags all day after we checked out.
The location and friendly staff Poor TV reception and very small shower room
Well situated for central London Rooms too small. Having to pay for wifi connection
Stayed in a family suite and rooms were a good size for the area - close to Buckingham Palace and Victoria Station - within walking distance to Harrod's Shopping. Goog value for money in great upscale nieghborhood. Nothing - would stay there again and plan to return again!
the bedroom is very modern, small but comfortable and clean the sitting area for breakfast is in the reception area and I found it very small
room and above all toilette too small
the room was clean and the towels were changed everyday which is of course important. the stuff at the kitchen were not so kind and once we were told to go earlier for breakfast the next day (in not such a kind tone). All this because we sat 5 more minutes from scheduled time.
Beds are o.k. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pillows are slabs. Pricey for what you get, but everything in London is pricey. Continental breakfast is on the low end of fair.
It was just a short walk from Pimlico and Victoria- ideal for sightseeing. Our room ( for 2) had a double and single, with a nice shower and plenty of hot water. Fairly quiet, though the traffic started early. Clean and comfortable beds.Small lift was useful to get the suitcase up 2 flights. Breakfast room was a bit cramped, and there wasn't much choice. No free wifi.
Staff Friendliness Room far too small and claustaphobic. Bathroom unhygenic due to cracked basin also the 'pop up waste' broken, and water emptying very slowly. Bath shower head rusted and unhygenic.
Too small rooms and also too small breakfast room for so many people to have breakfast in a rather short time. It was totally chaotic
friendly, helpful staff; good location; reasonable price very poor breakfast, tiny/uncomfortable dining room; no double glazing/noise insulation, therefore room was quite loud
The bathroom was nice. Reception was cluttered. The hallways were grubby and looked like they needed a good clean. The stairs leading down to the breakfast room were stripped bare, and the whole place smelt of bleach. If it was being decorated, some sort of warning would have been appreciated.
Nice and friendly staff. The room was small, but it was clean. The bathroom was new and everything worked perfectly. The hotel is worn. For example; the elevator is small and dingy it doesn't work all the time.
The hotel is in a great location Room was very small and bathroom was tiny
Free Wireless internet access inside rooms. I expected a better breakfast with cheese.
room 5. very big!!! kind staff. breakfast poor. noise. little toilet.
The staff were very friendly & helpful it was very dated, bathroom was tiny, interior of room was very poor, window did not lock.
the hotel was close to Victria st and Pimlico st. reasonable price. heater was broken in the room so it was cold at night time. there was no stair in the hotel so it was quite hard to bring heavy baggage to the room.
Very good place. Very nice staff. Great value for money. The pillows were unusually uncomfortable.
convenient for Victoria Station room rather small
Good location, simple but usable rooms. Walls are extremely thin, you can hear everything from the stairs and neighbours. The bathroom is very very small and the sanitery system is not functioning well. Beds are old and not comfortable.
lack of internet access, no wireless network in the rooms
The breakfast and the location were OK The bed and the bathroom... the first one wasn't a really bed, only a thin matress above two sofas bases... not so confortable! about the second one, it was properly a container... not very different from chemical toilets!
location the rooms were dirty and small, staff, breakfast,
