Cons: The price. It was a bit expensive for such a small room. I stayed in a queen bed room and it was difficult to move around the bed. Also, the rain shower did not have a lot of pressure. I would have liked to have a regular shower head instead of the rain shower one.

Pros: Even though the hotel is quite small it does give personalized care and has great facilities. Our room overlooked the square and was still quiet and serene. Room size a bit on the smallish side but not too small as to be inconvenient. Bathroom facilities clean and modern. Towels were always clean and fresh. And all the staff were very helpful and friendly. And not to forget the great location of this hotel, a few minutes walk from both Knightsbridge and King’s Road shopping areas. This was a return visit for me at the Hari and will definitely be staying here again.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, available 24/7. We had an early flight back so checked out of the room and left early (6am) - we were greeted upon departure with take-away coffee and tea, along with fruits and pastries. Literally left good taste in our mouths as we left the hotel. We'll surely return to the Thompson on our next visit to London!

Cons: Where to begin... 1. The hotel rooms are VERY small - No sound proofing...if your neighbor shuts or opens their door at whatever time of the day then have no doubt you will hear it and if you are a light sleeper then good luck! 2. Service is very poor whether at the Italian restaurant or at reception. I paid a cash deposit and at checkout they said there was no record of any cash payment on their system..luckily, I had kept a copy of my receipt. Not to mention the time spent going back and forth on this issue. 3. I was in London to plan my wedding and chose to stay at The Hari for the convenience of the location however, I was unable to hold any meetings at the hotel or meet anybody in the lobby or the lobby bar due to the amount of kids aged 14-20 who were lined up on a daily basis from 6PM onwards in order to access the lobby bar for its famous doughnuts creating a huge inconvenience for in house guests not to mention the way the lobby looks every time you walked in or out.

Cons: The room as several articles which seem complimentary (such as USB cable, etc.) which upon checkout apparently cost quite a lot (we were charged 10 GBP for the cable).

Pros: We had an early flight in and went right to the hotel. By the time we had breakfast there was a room for us. We were there 4 days and mostly worked with Johnnie the concierge who was extremely helpful and fun. The other concierges were helpful and friendly as was the whole staff. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Johnnie sent us to a lovely Italian restaurant for dinner our first night. We will definitely stay here when we go back to London.

Cons: The facilities were ancient. The room was incredibly small and dated. There was peeling paint on the walls old mis-matched furniture and the curtains had stains on them. Not sure how this could be classified as 4 stars when it most closely resembled a poorly maintain motel. The manager will tell you that they are in the middle of a renovation however, to let their hotel fall into such disarray prior to starting a renovation is shameful.

Bar / bar area is heavily under utilised and could be made into a nice area to hang out. I always like cozy bar areas in hotels, with good atmosphere, friendly lighting and some background music (good for booze sales as well!) - but this was missing unfortunately. 2 exceptions, bar staff Jezus and Simina were wonderful and do understand the importance of making your guests feel welcome. Breakfast - food selection is fine (full english always nice) - but personally I find a good coffee (cappuccino / espresso) very important and this is sorely missed. Simply invest in a good, self-service coffee machine and I'm sure the guests will give top marks for breakfast. Beds slightly too firm for my liking - but this is personal preference.

Pros: The location couldn't have been better for us as it was a 5 minute walk away from both our transport link and Buckingham Palace. The staff where very accommodating and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The room was small but had everything we required for our stay. Although we did not eat breakfast at the hotel it looked very appetising. We would definitely re visit this hotel.

Pros: Location was excellent; exceeded my expectations. Easy walking location to not only Buckingham Palace but Green Park, St. James Park and Hyde Park. We walked to the west end easily to the theater district and the National Art Gallery, Trafalgar Square..so many wonderful sights to see. Right across the road from Victoria Station with easy access to the bus and tube. The staff were so available to help and provide information and direction; always friendly and professional. Loved coming in to the wine and cheese selection in the afternoon; a lovely most welcoming touch. Can't say enough about the high standards of this hotel; would recommend it to anyone staying in London for a short time wanting to see the best of what it has to offer. Thank you!!

Cons: Only a very small observation rather than complaint but we felt the breakfast bar was too close to the main reception making it a bit awkward & crowded to get to breakfast buffet when others guest where checking in & out. Maybe if it was moved to the corner as you come through the front door where there is a bit more space & away from the activity around the main reception might address this. But as I said a very minor issue.

Cons: The size of the room. A very efficient use of space with every inch accounted for. It was indeed comfortable and provided everything we needed but small by North American standards. Everything else including the lovely Cadbury's hot chocolate made up for the lack of space.

Cons: The room was very cold and staff told us they don’t provide heating until November. Paying for high grade accommodation should mean you don’t have to wrap yourself in a blanket to sit on the lounge at night.

Cons: The staff was a little slow when we needed help. They were still very helpful, but didn’t seem prepared when it came to simple requests like a set of new sheets. At one point we were locked out of the laundry room and it took some time for them to 1) believe me and 2) unlock the door manually.

I forgot to take one luggage from the room and until I ask them after few hours then they checked and telling yes they are keeping. I saw the bag is unlock and when I ask they said no lock. So upset. Pros: Everything is great. Location is superb very close to Victoria Coach Station and Victoria Station. Room is big for London standard and beautifully decorated. The mattress, pillows and duvet are very comfortable. The towels and robes are plush and soft. The toiletries are of high quality from The White Company London. Breakfast spread is very generous too.

Cons: We had the worst nights sleep we have ever had in a hotel. There is obviously a bar or club within the hotel and the music played at a ridiculous level until 2am! We were on the first floor and possibly directly above the club so the base of the music vibrates through our whole room!!!!

Cons: Lifts far too slow to close doors and to get up to each floor Main restaurant menu far to fancy, none of my tea wanted to eat there, 90% of people there, chose drinks and not good. Menu was trying to be Michelin, when nice good food, without silly 'trying too hard' names and combinations would have worked. Staff in restaurant were slow. The exec happy hour canapes were poor and not nice. Drinks too 30mins to arrive, Canapes had to remind them 3 times. Air con machine making banging and clicking sounds, woke us both up at 5am. Not good, would not sleep in hotel again, unless these issues are fixed.

Cons: Old building and the service was very poor. Our request for an early check in was not met and saw most of the guests loitering in the lobby until their rooms were ready. Had to wait for 4 1/2 hrs to get the room (till the normal check in time). Looks like they stick to their normal check in time irrespective of the availability of the rooms. Fire alarm went off at 5.30 am the following day and no one knew the reason for it. It was cold and raining outside and there were no umbrellas or a shelter to go out of the hotel. Staff were not properly trained for such a situation and they gave us different answers for the alarm to go off. Fire truck came with only two fire men and after about 40 mts allowed to go in. Alarm went off 3 times again the same day around 11.30pm and yet again the same routine. We were scared as hell for the rest of the 3 nights as we had no option left and were on the 4th floor and no escape if a fire breaks out. The breakfast was awful and no choice at all. From the second day onward we opted to go out to have breakfast. Its definitely not worth the money we paid.

Cons: We stayed at this hotel for two consecutive years and it was ok. I think there was a change in the management as this year it was horrible at all levels. I booked two rooms 2 months before our arrival and requested rooms in the higher floors with walk in shower because of a disability. We ended up getting old rooms on the second floor with no walk in shower. We were going away for the weekend and coming back to the hotel. I booked the more expensive rooms and spoke with a member of the staff who confirmed to me that we will get rooms with walk in shower and when we were back they told us that one of the rooms do not have a walk in shower and they can’t do anything because they are fully booked. We had to speak with the manager to get our requested rooms. My father had a prescription drug that needed to be stored in the fridge. We notified the staff that we will need to take out some items from the fridge(which we will not consume) to make place for the medication and despite that they charged us for those items (two drinks) that remained untouched and placed next to the fridge. The service was poor, on one day they did not clean the room at all, on other days they did not renew the tissues and the complimentary coffee envelopes. The phone was not working, the tv was not working for the last 3 days if our stay. The rooms are outdated, beds are not comfortable. I have nothing positive to say about this hotel.The breakfast which used to be excellent was really poor. We will never come back to this hotel. There are many nice hotels with far better service and competitive prices in the area.

The guy at the front desk wouldn't book me in, he made me go online to book in even though I was standing at the front desk. The fool at the front desk couldn't even write the door code down properly so I was unable to enter the room. The breakfast was pathetic.

Pros: When we got there no one was at reception but after about 10min we realised a lady was helping someone else out. We wasn’t told one second I will be with you or anything. When we walked into the room it seemed lovely! Really well decorated, comfy!! However the bath room floor mat was dirty and had long black hairs on it. The next morning about 7am you can hear the people upstairs walking around. You could also heat people outside the room, I think workers going back and forth but I don’t know. Also my friend went out to get air, came back to the wrong room but managed to use our key to get in THEIR ROOM!!!! The only thing that was good was the main room! And I paid £127 for a night which was way to much for this place!!!!! I wouldn’t pay more than £60 for the night!!

Cons: I found the location of my room a little confusing (because it was on a mezzanine-type floor), and the breakfast selection wasn't especially good. I thought I could order cooked food until breakfast ended, per the signs in my room and in the breakfast room, but heard kitchen staff tell another guest that that wasn't the case and the signs were wrong. As a result, the options were cereal, bread, and fruit.

Cons: The dirty bath mat. The early morning loudness from upstairs and the outside of the room! It’s not very big so it was very clear to hear people and doors slamming. As well as being able to get into someone else’s W room with our key!!!!

Cons: I had a single room & it was very small, but ok. Breakfast is chaotic. The breakfast room is on the lower ground floor & isn't really large enough for the number of rooms / people. I had to start eating my breakfast standing up until a seat became available. Check-out time is 10am, which can be a bit early.

Cons: The price is very overpriced for this hotel. Rooms are indeed very narrow, but as I stayed only one night, it didn’t bother me that much. Room and the whole hotel could have been cleaner. I could see some dark stains on the blanket through the bedsheet, the tv remote was taped together with a tape, cracked ceiling and stains on the walls. Breakfast was very plain. And the checkout 10am in general is ridiculous.

Cons: The room was different than the one pictured and purchased. The fire alarm went off 3 of the 4 nights waking us up. The first room we got was the size of a walk in closet. When we showered it was so small that the water would hit the toilet, and making it extremely slippery when using it later. Our large suit case could not for in the room.

We arrived at 9.30am and already the staff were clearly away. We were able to have coffee and cereal, but yogurt and pastries were not refilled and there was no orange juice. This was disappointing
