Location, near tube station and yet accessable to Westminister, Buckingham Palace, London Eye and other tourist sights on foot.Room was comfortable and spacious. Bathroom could do with updating. No complaints
Central location, impressive lobby, excellent choice of breakfast items Room was small in size and the bathroom was impossible to navigate if there was more than one of you or if bigger than a size 18! It mcant have measured more than 1.5m x 1.5m and was only really handy if you needed to use the toilet and sink at the same time. The room 681 was miles away from the lifts and instead you had to cross the courtyard whenever you wanted to leave the hotel or go to reception - not ideal when it's raining.
Friendly, helpful staff. Pleasantly surprised by size of room
Nice and quiet, relaxed atmosphere Room very warn dispite air conditioning
Hotel was serene and quite, received an upgrade to junior suite which was extremely spacious and comfortable. No hotel shuttle is available tom transport guests to Victoria station.
Our room had a balcony overlooking the impressive courtyard and was well equipped and prepared. Check in and out was effortless and staff were friendly and well informed.
Sasha the bartender was great as were all the other staff that we met. Everyone was extremely friendly and made our stay very enjoyable.
we'll be back- fantaastic position- best London hotel we have stayed in. being asked to pay for internet access
They ask me to pay for internet acces, but the problem was solved.
Hotel staff was very friendly , checking in and out was very easy
Superb hotel for decor, great location for seeing and gettng around london due to its 2 min walk from the tube, would definately stay there again!
this is a fine hotel in a good location. the room i stayed in was massive, the bathroom was terrific....deffinitely recommend it to anyone the food, and health suite(massage etc) were quite expensive and beware the fridge, it is charged automatically once you remove anything from it....
they were very accommodating to our needs. we arrived before there was a room available and they took our luggage and stored it for us and then upgraded our room when we came back several hours later to officially check in. Extremely friendly hotel personnel. lovey décor and enjoyed the lobby bar and wait staff there. we thought our room was very clean and the linens and hygiene products first rate. also very upscale.
Location near Victoria Station. Nice and clean rooms. Modern and functional. Personell of the reception desk are nice and polite, but less effective and lack the entusiasm to follow up on problems. We bought the plaza plus package, but did not get a newspaper before asking twice. Never got comlementary chocolate in the room, only got on set of bath robe for a double room etc. Although staff promissed to correct these errors, it never happend. Finally we gave up and did not bother to ask again.
they were very nice. gave us a room upgrade and breakfast. vey good value and the room was in good condition. much better than all other hotels I have stayed in in London except the dorchester which is correspondingly expensive!
Location - perfect for a London weekend Breakfast was outstanding US outlets Quiet
Clean, comfortable, well organised.
The hotel was literally a stones throw from the Apollo Theatre and Victoria station. Was clean and the staff were helpful.
Location. Comfort of bed. Good check in Not having the executive lounge facilities pointed out to me so i wasn't able to make use. Room carpet wasn't clean and bathroom could have been cleaner.
convenient location for transport links and city more effective double glazing is needed to reduce traffic noise
Very close to trains, tubes and some shops. Room clean and big. Would stay again. Staff very friendly and helpful. Booked a twin room but ended up with a king size bed not sure where booking mix-up happened, just watch for that.
Great location. Complimentary wine and cheese happy hour. Small rooms, good for sleeping but not much else. We spent most of our time out and about so the small room didn't matter.
I loved how near the hotel was to Victoria Station and the moderness of the facility (great skybox tv and nice shower area). The staff was friendly and the general vibe of the people stay there was good. I'd absolutely recommend it to my friends traveling. I didn't realize how some of the windowless rooms were actually on the level below ground which was unnerving in terms of being able to hear the underground go by and if God forbid there was an emergency.
Love the location of this hotel Staff are friendly and welcoming Breakfast lovely Rooms are of a high standard
Checking in was very smooth. The mattress was very, very soft. So much so if you sat on the end of the bed you could quite easily have rolled off!
Location is very convenient. Hotel staff is good. The restaurant offer is quite large, good and inexpensive. The rooms (carpet, furniture, bathroom facilities) looked old and worn-out.
Location is great if you need a train to Gatwick. Also for acces to sights in London. Staff we helpful and it was a nice stay,
Clean room and good hotel location
Excellent location. Room was very dated and basic.
Convienence toilet facilities only just acceptable
helpful and friendly staff
Room appearance very poor, furniture needs replaced, bathroom sink cracked and dirty appearance, constant noise from announcements from station!
Old-style luxury hotel with modern comfort Nothing to dislike
5 star facilities, superb service. Spacious apartments. Extremely hospitable staff. Price is commensurate to 5-star status.
Staff, Quiet Room Complicated Payment procedure, inflexible invoicing, staff was not able to put the correct invoice adress.
The staffs personal attention to our needs during our stay. It made our stay very pleasent.
Very comfortable , well equipped with excellent friendly and obliging staff.
Wonderful hotel in so many ways; location, expansive and luxurious accommodations, service. We booked a junior suite, but were graciously upgraded to a one bedroom suite. We had so much room! As for value, other 5 star hotels cost as much or more ,but only offered a small room. Don't hesitate to book this hotel for a unique and outstanding experience. No complaints at all. Excellent in all areas.
It is very bad, noisy and old hotel it was same 2 star or B&B
the friendly professional staff. I was given an upgrade which I appreciated not that I needed a 2 bedroom suite as I was on my own. there was nothing that I didn't like.
The design Extremely rude staff
The staff and venue was beyond excellent!
The service was excellent. We never left the building or returned to our room without a staff member greeting us with a friendly smile and kind words. The room(s) were a great set-up for a family and allowed comfort and space for a reasonable price. The location was convenient for all site-seeing and public transportation.
Proximity to tube, palace and a good pub..(Bag of Nails - 50yds)Attentiveness of staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
The staff were excellent No pool/jacuzzi facilitiesbathroom a tad small considering deluxe upgrade taken
the staff was wonderful and the location was top of the chart
staff very friendly and knowledgeable smallest of room
Free room upgrade. Good Location. Very Nice Hotel. Bar meals a bit pricey. Very squeeky floorboards.
great effiicient and genial staff nothing
Excellent location, superb room and staff were exceptionally polite and accomodating. In fact the staff really stood out among a lot of hotels I have been at. Breakfast was also great. The Guiness tap was out at the bar.
A quality hotel with good restaurant and bar, good service and close to convenient transport links (train/underground/taxi) On this occasion our room, although well presented, was very small with an undersized double bed. Supposedly a quiet room, there was noise from the air-conditioning plant outside.
Staff were friendly
helpfulness and friendliness upon reception door of room needs caulking to reduce noise from hall
Staff went out of their way to provide prompt and courteous service. The location is right across the street form a major train station and access to Circle and District subway lines. Rooms were modern and clean. Breakfast was ... expansive... the classic British breakfast. The restaurant and bar were comfortable. The concierge gave us a great tip to a nice Indian restaurant within easy walking distance. Frosted glass door on the bathroom means that if you turn on the bathroom light in middle of the night you wake up your partner as well.
nothing particullary the electricity plug for shaver was out of order
The location was very good for many local attractions A little noisy ouitside, but hey what can you expect next to a train station?
Near Central London, and close to Chelsea and cadogan Hall (concert) The price - too expensive
Location, cleanliness, breakfast selection, room. wifi not included in rooms.
Central location. Hotel looked great and the room was very clean, spacious and had lots of facilities- iron/tea/coffee/sports channels/trouser press/ shower and bath/fridge/air con apart from our fridge not working and we could not get our heating to work it was all great
Pleasant atmosphere with polite helpful staff, bright and pleasant reception area, room light and cheerful.
quick check in and rooms clean and with goodfacilities Could be noisy as adjacent to railway station
Clean room, pleasant attentive staff, extensive breakfast buffet. Crossing the street to get to the taxi stand can be hazardous
The location is excellent for speedy access to the main attractions in London. The room was a good size. When we arrived (at about 4pm) there were no quiet double rooms left unless we upgraded, which I thought was poor. The pillows were much too big for me. I tried ringing reception to see if there were alternatives; I held on for ages but the phone was never answered. In the end I phoned room service and they sorted me out. The room was far too warm and the air conditioning did not sufficiently cool it. At reception they told me that the weather had been unusually warm which had taken them by suprise, but in my view they should have been able to sort it out. The breakfast is good but extremenly expensive; I would have liked fresh brown bread.
Excellent location which why we had booked again Very small room considering what we paid, we previously considered the hotel good value but not anymore, we even had breakfasts at Victoria as the prices for that were prohibitive.
proximité du centre ville buckingham big ben..... personnel de l'accueil très agréable salle de petit déjeuner trop petite surtout quand les femmes de ménage bousculent les clients avec leur chariot... machine à café en panne pendant tout le séjour...
accessibilty to public transport excellent Tiniest room ive ever stayed in and right beside the boiler which meant it was very noisy.
Close to Victoria Station Uncomfortable beds, not so good breakfast
Room is very clean and staff is friendly. The air-con unit is very noisy
Ideal location for our needs. Clean, comfortable and economical considering we were in the heart of London. No
Very good sized room. Excellent location near to Victoria Station. The first room I was assigned stanl of smoke but the hotel staff were very helpful and moved me to another room straightaway
Covenient position for tourists - close to a lot of Londons attractions
General cleanliness of the room and ensuite. The hotel could certainly do with a larger room for breakfast. It was very overcrowded and the lift brings you straight out into the breakfast room and then you have to hover around people eating their breakfast waiting for someone to finish so that you can jump into their seat! A very unrelaxing start to the day.
Very close to Victoria Station, no noise, not so tiny room.
close to train noisy
I liked the fact that you could see the underground from the front door, so not far to walk to get on the tube or train. The only comment I would make is th the breakfast room was a little small and crowded
Close to Victoria Noise of leak/overflow outside room window.
The hotel was very good value for money. A good bed, enough space, clean bathroom, nothing more is needed for a business trip in a capital city. There were no toiletries in the bathroom. This may have been an oversight, or they may have been available at reception, although I didn't ask. As a regular traveller I had my own.
5 min from Victoria station (train, tube, bus). 20 min from trafalgar square. Tea and coffe in room (free), shower, new towel every day
The hotel had a good situation close to all the tourist sights The heat could not be turned off in our room, wich meant that it was very and uncomfortably hot
quite close to tubes and buses which was good. to many stairs for someone with walking difficult's.
very convinient location we were supposed to check in at 11, this is why we chose this hotel, but the room wasn't ready. Extremely small rooms, we are used to staying in b&b but this room was so small that you couldn't even make a step without falling into something. Also the stuff should really have to learn how to be more polite.
small rooms, no lift
very central location for central london rooms could do with being a bit bigger
The location Reception staff not very welcoming, booked 3 rooms. Only given two rooms, when told it should be 3 they gave us another room which was not ready and was on the top floor and was so small it was like a broom cupboard compared the other rooms. Glad it was only for 1 night
Clean rooms, friendly staff, OK breakfast, Good location, near to Victoria St and the Thames , Big Ben Etc.. Far far far to small rooms , the windows was situated to a brick wall, no facilities as a sitting area at the hotel, or a chair in the room
An extremely enjoyable experience. Ideally located for visiting Central London. All staff very helpful. and very neat and clean hotel i wish to stay again specially the receptionest hammad he was very helpfull,
Bathroom was dirty, despite having just been cleaned. No response to e- mail question prior to arrival.
i really like that hotel nice clean room specially neat and clean bath room and stuff are very helpfull wid us hope to stay again soon
Woke up with bites on one arm, subsequent rash still hasn't shifted after a week
I felt the hotel offered good value for money. The room I stayed in had recently had a new bathroom fitted, the components themselves were of good quality although the fitting could have been better. There was a problem with my initial credit card processing but it was straightened out swiftly. I arrived very late and the man on reception stayed late to make sure I could get in, I really appreciated that. The entrance and reception area are tired and in need of renovation. I imagine the place has been bought fairly recently and there simply isn't the money yet to do that. The description "hotel" is perhaps a little misleading since there are no shared facilities such as food for breakfast. However, there are many places nearby where you can go for food at any time.
You pay for what you get. Dirty!
The hotel had a great location in London. It was good value for money and was cleaned daily. The water was always hot. The room had not been cleaned when I arrived althought the bed had been changed. I went out that evening and it was then cleaned while I was out. My room was in the basement next to the reception room, where someone obviously smoked heavily. On the Saturday night the tv was very loud from reception until about 2am. On other nights I could hear it but it wasn't too loud. The electrics looked 'dodgy' there were extension leads to the tv, and the kettle was not on the original base although it did work but only balanced precariously. None of the appliences appeared to have been electric tested as they didn't have the stickers on them.
Proximity to Victoria Station Very thin walls. Scruffy bathroom and carpet
Location. Close to Victoria Station The hotel staff were unpleasant with no customer service. Shortly after arriving one the two ment on reception were talking in their own language then started chatting up my companion - an employer I work with. The facilities in the room were poor. The room was unfinished (decorative wise) with wires hanging out in palces and the room was dirty. There were no toiletry products and the milk at the tea station was months out of date. When I asked for replacements in the morning, these were put on the counter without any words being spoken. Room was dirty, hairs in the shower and dust everywhere.
Friendly Reception and helpful staff menber when querying tv later. Very quiet at at night . Easy walk from Victoria station and near buses. My room had New carpet and new windows. Larger towel than usual in cheap hotels. Bathroom/toilet /shower clean and appeared to be fairly new. Big mirror and nice picture on wall Very Basic room - would have liked bedside light. Little space to hang clothes.
Clean room We thought the shower area was very cramped.
Good value for money for a London hotel. The location is good and the rooms are small but clean. The rooms are small. The breakfast is basic. Nothing to catch the eye but it is good for the money you pay(London hotel??)
Easy to get to location. Ensuite bathroom. n/a
The location. Near Victoria Station. A street packed with coffe-shops and restaurants. The room for 85 pounds!!!!, The room was tiny and old. The beds, uncomfortable. It was not that clean either being so old and ill-mantained. Very noisy, too, due to old windows and thin walls.
it is good no
The location. Everything. It was a very run down and dirty hotel. The bedroom carpet was digusting, I didn't want to walk on it in bare feet. The shower "room" was like a pod with a curtain. Breakfast choice was very limited, basically cereal and toast (not continental). Wifi was supposed to be £1.00 per hour but turned out to be £8.00 per day.
When i arrived the sink in the bathroom was leaking and the staff had it fixed quickly, also 24hour reception so you could go out in the evening rooms were quite small and even with the window open it got quite hot, a fan or AC would be an idea
Very good location, and friendly staff. Poor water pressure in shower
reception 24 hours fairly friendly (1) wifi didn't work well enough - very slow web browsing, not able to check emails (2) very thin walls - could help people running or walking fast, upstairs and outside, doors banging
location very basic
Convenience and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Train line noisy but as it was next to Victoria Station, can'y really be helped!
Very close to the Victoria Station. I had a room to the station, was quite loud. Very old and simple furnitured.
Close to Victoria St. Clean room. Quiet place Shared shower
Near underground Not a hotel, rooms small, expensive for what you get,no help with baggage,no manners from staff, poorest place I have ever stayed, not recommended.
Location is the best point about this hotel. It is very near to Victoria station. 5 minutes walk. Beddings were clean. Breakfast is simple but nice. The railway is next to the inn so you can hear the noise of every train passed by. The room is extremely small and the space is only enough for the bed and 2 pieces of luggage. Definitely not enough for 2 people to move around. The toilet had a kind of smell. My friend said it is Indian air freshener, but I can hardly bear it. There is no lift in the inn so we had to carry the luggage for 4 floors.
It was a very warm and welcome room. There was a kettle with tea and coffee and also a fridge. We had an ensuite which was small but in good working order. The staff were very helpful at all times. The heating could have done with being turned down at night.
near train station , easy for commuting into city and airport
This basic London B & B was a great place to stay. The rather small room had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location near Voctoria station was ideal. I liked everything.
Very close to the bus/train station The room was very old, dingy and so tiny, smaller than expected.
the location the bathrooms and showerooms were very small and a bit dirty
good price/value in this location Not the most comfortable hotel
Ambience and luxury there was nothing I disliked
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Everything you wanted was there. Relaxing and comfortable rooms. Great turn down service with candles! The exec lounge was great, like a living room in your home. We had a lovely stay.
Everything, food, attention to detail and comfort, very reasonable price, breakfast and champagne included, one of the best hotels in London and one of the more reasonably priced, which seems odd but thats how it was. No hidden extras and car parking. Just brilliant. Will definately be going back.
Attention to detail. Pleasant, friendly staff. Design of hotel foyer and lounge -like a very upmarket gentleman's club. Wardrobe door with full length mirror inside wouldn't open fully. Disappointing as my daughter and I were attending a dinner in an exclusive venue and wanted to make sure we looked our best.A minor point to some, but could be rectified by placing the mirror inside the adjoining door.
a wonderful oasis amidst the bustle of victoria
The room was a good size for London and well-appointed with excellent amenities such as Penhaligon's products and daily service of ice, water, fresh lemon slices and olives, bedtime treats, newspapers.
The staff was excellent, attentive and warm. The rooms were lovely; beds and showers were the best I've experienced. Plunder the pantry was fun.
The professionnalism and kindness of its personnel No cigar lounge
The staff were first class. The breakfast was excellent. The ambiance was great. The only minor comment was that in our room you couldn't fully open the wardrobe door which had the full length mirror on it because it was blocked by the door closer on the room door. Nothing really, but could only give the hotel 99.9% instead of 100%.
Nice small Hotel in a very nice location. Very nice rooms, quite and chic
Low price and good location Radiator heat on full blast and no way to adjust it. Had to open window .. not eco and giving hotel higher costs and me uncomfortable nights.
Reception area and staff and location Room furnishing no tea and coffee. Tv no real reception and was a bit dirty in the room.
the location it was unsecure, filthy and cold. Also the check out time was 1030
its location was good for transport links, was friendly staff and easy to get to
Spacious room, light and airy. Helpful reception staff. Very convenient location, right near Victoria Coach and Train stations. No kettle or tea making facility in room. Bathroom tiny and in desperate need of refurbishment (though in fairness, there was always plenty of hot water).
nothing it is unfit to be listed as a hotel
Hotle was close to underground and easy to find. Mattress on bed was possibly the worst i have ever lay on, you could feel every spring coming through. Breakfast was only one cereal and no choice of bread for toast. Cornflakes and white bread was it!
The price and close proximity to the theatre Radiator was full on in the room for 24 hours - far too hot. Room was on second floor and no lift. Had to go down a flight of stairs to the toilet. shower was in the corner of the room with laminate floor and no bath mat. No tea/coffee making facilities in room. Terrible old pillows, no support. single ceiling light with switch by the door.
Good Location I think the jail is better... I prefer a backpacker house than that.
Value for money, convenient location Too many stairs, no lift, bathroom too small, bed made back hurt, no a/c
the location so close to the train and bus stations was fantastic, especially for the price. it was very noisy, and the rooms & shared bathroom were unclean, with mould on the shower and what appeared to be blood on the walls.
