Pleasant, friendly staff -reception. First impressions on entering revolving doors was good The noise from the doors slamming shut at 4am - slow closing facility on each room would stop this.
We had a lovely night's sleep on a very comfortable bed. Compared to the bedroom, the bathroom was under par. The bath water took ages to drain! On the plus side, the hotel sent up an engineer within minutes to fix the sink plug which we pushed in too deep.
Location was perfect for us. The onsight eating facilties were very good. All the staff members were courteous and helpful. The rooms were gery comfortable and well tended to. Just like most of the rest of the world, there's too much fast moving traffic everywhere.
I find the facilities & staff are most welcoming, friendly & always available. I have been using this London Hotel for many years, in fact when it was called The Royal Lancaster Hotel. I do hope it will revert to that title in the future. Thank you to all for making me feel " @ home" while enjoying my stay.
Good location. For breakfast, go across the road from the main entrance, to a small cafe on your left (opposite Spice of India) - great breads, cheeses, croissants. Spice of India is a nice place for dinner, too, and if you walk a bit further on, you get to a great pub - Victoria - that has some of the best food, too.
Great central location but away from main shopping streets. Amazing views from upper floors. On -site parking. Expensive breakfast.
Excellent location--right near Paddington and the Central Line tube. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel restaurant was surprisingly good. Outdated facilities, comfort of bed and room so-so (room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking floor).
It was a business trip, and I know London well so not very relevent to me, though I like the proximity to the Park of this hotel and also to Paddington Station. Nothing
Staff very good. Felt like a top hotel. Nothing.
Very little. Noise levels; size of rooms; poor heating/water pressure.
Location to nearest tube station. breakfast menu with views over hyde park. locality to my destination at the park Would defo return again. The tv was difficult to use remote. Maybe a simpler version. Room was supposed to be a superior one. I saw no evidence of this. not enough toiletries. Beatutifully decorated in public areas, and toilets by meeting rooms were well furnished with soap & cream etc
Location , breakfast and room were just what I needed for short stay
The hotel was chosen for its location. Great to have the underground stop just outside the door and to have the Heathrow Express literally minutes away. Paddington is an interesting neighborhood as well, especially for ethnic food dining. It is somewhat reasonably priced, which is a good thing, but you don't get a lot except location for your money--important to keep in mind. Rooms extremely small. Yes they are booked as compact but still--more like large train compartments. Rooms and halls a bit threadbare in spots, showers not all that terrific to use. Could be called "cozy," but little storage space. Front desk personnel not all that outstanding or attentive to their duties (like properly executing wake up calls, etc.) Garfunkels breakfast pretty bad.
Very little was good. Location was okay. The restaurant associated with the Hotel was good but was not managed by the Hotel. Room facilities - no hot water. No refund, no alternative room. Reception staff unable to understand concept of a VAT receipt.
Comfort, cleanliness and helpful service
Contemporary king size bed, near by public transport and good attractions. High price for room size and quality.
Location is great, right next to Paddington Station & 3 different tube lines. Staff was pretty courteous and polite, just seemed unable to help with anything a lot of the time. They lost power on the last day of my stay causing me to oversleep and miss a meeting. Guess they slipped a notice under the door that I didn't see. More annoying though was just the lack of amenities at the price point I was paying. Not a good value for the money IMO. No mini fridge for 230+ USD a night? Entertainment was messed up too, ended up getting charged for 2 movies, neither of which I could finish because they errored out halfway through and there was no way to fast forward or resume the movies other than re-starting them and watching them again from the beginning. I called the front desk and asked about this, they ensured I wouldn't be charged, I was.
The location next to train and tube station, cleanliness of the room and polite staff. It's not possible one year before 2012 Olympic games in London to charge for the internet access Wi Fi or cable even at the lobby when all around the world hotels offer it for free (even the MacDonald's next door had a free wifi.)
Great room - perfect location.
Excellent Hotela nd fabulous location right beside Paddington with great access to the tube. Rooms were very clean and modern. Highly recommended.
Friendly stuff, clean good location.
Very clean and modern
The concierge was welcoming and friendly making ease of booking in. The Lobby was comfortable and offered good facilities. The 5th floor room small but adequately sized for couple, clean but furniture missing and bare wall (namely bedside cabinet) the bed was soft, old and dipped in the middle making sleeping very uncomfortable. The shower was tepid. No hot water. Parking was charged at £15 per day (unknown charge). Breakfast was basic and cold when served. Standard of breakfast poor for £7.50 per head. Staff available but standing around, breakfast procedure not explained, guesswork used.
Lovely and helpful staff, good value of money, excellent location and 5 minutes walk to Paddington tube station there was no good internet connection as i stayed in the fourth floor!! Howerver, they allow me to use the computer downstair for free :)
Staff were good room was warm and clean Size of room very small even for one person. Accommodation not pleasant in fact it was archaic. Would never stay again
It is close to the city center. Too old and small rooms.
Location is in the centre, near underground station, Oxford street 10 min by foot, Guide park in 2 min Very small room, 2 krans within the bathroom for hot and for cold water, breakfast finish at 10 am,wheb the staff founded us eating at 10.00 they asked to leave the dining room (not to finish our breakfast). Very cold within the room (in november)
Central for a theatre/concert night out in London on a budget. Decor in room a bit tired
Excellent location, close to Hyde Park and great travel communications from Paddington, London W2. Rooms are small but good value for central London.
This hotel offers a good value for money experience. The check in was quick and efficient. The room was basic but clean. No complaints. Everything was fine.
The Location Floor was making sound. Room had the size of my own entré.
location, staff friendly enough rooms weren't clean and a little dated
check in/out was swift
Peace and quiet, and the neatness of the hotel I booked for a double room and was given a twin room which was most uncomfortable. It took a lot of trouble and noise making from me to get the hotel staff to merge the beds together to make it look like a double room as they claimed that they did not have a double room for me that I booked for. dissappointing. I was most uncomfortable.
The staff were wonderful There was no natural ventilation or air conditioning in our room which made the nights rather difficult to deal with
no comment, ok. you can hear almost everything from the bathroom of nex room.
It was a very comfortable hotel in a great location, minutes from Paddington station and Hyde Park. Reasonably priced for London.Staff very pleasant and helpful. On check out we were told it was cheaper to book directly with the hotel which was incorrect as I always check that prior to booking.
Good location on quiet square. Close to attractions, but away from the trafic noise at night. Room very comfortable for 3 people. No!
Location, close to Padidngton station, Talbot square was quiet and nice street, but still close to everything. Although room was quite small, everything was clean ans suited well for city break traveller.
Comfortable hotel, ample room in bedroom and bathroom. Excellent location regarding easy access to Paddington Rail Station and the London Underground. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. No bad points regarding our accommodation at the hotel, except that on departure we requested a black taxi cab to take us to Victoria Rail Station, details below.
Location was great. Value for money pretty good. Cleanliness was only ok. The 'little things' were not up to the standard I would hope for from a 4 star hotel.
Location is the best among all. At a quiet square and only less than 5 minutes casual walk from the Paddington Underground & Train Station. My room is a Club room (Still small but expected) which was clean and comfort. The rate include buffet breakfast which is good too and the breakfast is acceptable with many choices & good service at the restaurant. Reception Staff were not helpful and laugh at guests whom could not find the exit when they came down to the lobby by using the stairs. And the most important is they charge Wi-Fi for GBP 12.50 a day which is very expensive. It is not a 5-Star Hotel!!!! They should also fix their windows as freeze winds leak in the room during the night.
Nice clean modern rooms & good location Nothing
The service and cleanliness were all fantastic - gracious and helpful. Location is also excellent - quiet but close to underground, Hyde Park and lots of restaurants. Smallest room I've ever stayed in and I definitely didn't expect that from the photos. In the end the room had everything I needed but was really small.
I liked the comfort factor the hotel provided. Checking in was a slight problem as staff didnt listen to me properly.
Guestroom too small, exist from the guestroom in case of emergency extremely risky
Staff were very helpful, I forgot something in the room and they found it and kept it for me to retrieve Room unbelievably small. Should not be allowed by law! (Probably isn't!).It was 2.5 mt x 2! The bathroom was 2 mt by 70 cm! The bed was just stuck against the window. I had to put the coffee and tea tray on top of the closet, or there wouldn't even be any room to put my briefcase in. Absolutely unacceptable. To reach the room, you had to go through so many narrow corridors and level changes (3 steps here, 2 steps there, etc.) that to do it with two bags was a complete nightmare. I don't even want to imagine what it would be like if you were in any way challenged in your movements.
Beds are good, location is ok. Hotel is quiet. Got an upgrade. Staff was not polite/not interested in guests. Kind of ignored us the whole time we spent there.Room is very small, even for a Club Room
Good breakfast, functional, close to Boris bike station and Grosvener Vick, short enough walk to west end My room was very close to the street outside which didn't feel entirely secure. It was also small and I would have prefered a room with a bath rather than a shower, although the shower was good. I think the price was competetive.
Staff were polite and tried to be helpful The smallest room I have ever had anywhere -- even in Japan. Many guests were complaining about the size of the rooms. the safe did not work and was not replaced. The breakfast was mediocre at best.
The fixtures in the hotel were all new and of excellent quality The room was tiny. No bath, the bed was against the wall and there was no space to sit other then the bed.
Loved the location, attentiveness of staff, cleanliness of room and lobby, etc. Rooms small but comfortable TV Signal was not good, practically couldn't watch tv.
Location to Paddington and Edgware Road Tube Stations. Good breakfast Single room provided was very compact but very well appointed
Location is good, so is facilities, esp. pc and shower
The comfortable room and the quiet. The long elevator queues.
Location, location,location....nothing else. Overprice for just a Standard Hilton Hotel.
Quick room service delivery. Followed instruction and kept booking overnight for dawn check in. No hot water for shower after dawn arrival. Complained, promised to respond but did not. Defeated whole point of paying an extra night's booking for early arrival after long haul redeye flight. No heating in room. Eventually deducted one night from bill as compensation. Very inattentive bell desk.
It's proximity to paddington station during the tube strike!
Convenient to Heathrow while still being in London but super expensive. Tea for two at the hotel was 32 pounds ($50) and they gave us one pot of tea, one scone, 3 tea sandwiches, and four tiny pastries. When we asked for more tea they just put more hot water in our tea pot. We finally complained when we saw that a couple next to us got two scones, but we had to go thru the manager and our meal was over by then and we were full from drinking hot water. We knew we would pay a premium by having tea at the hotel but we were tired from our travels and were disappointed that the staff was so inattentive.
Location is easy access to Paddington. The service was horrible at the front desk upon check in. Our reservation was cancelled without notice and the hotel refused to honor it (even though they admitted they had rooms). We found another reasonable hotel where the service was exceptional. Avoid this place!
I expect the level of quality when I come to a Hilton hotel. I am pleased that this hotel lived up to that standard. It's a great location especially if you are coming from or going to Heathrow airport. I booked my stay not directly through Hilton and as a result, I did not get Hilton honors points. If you allow a non-Hilton company to offer your product you should also offer everything that goes with it.
Convenient location and can enter from Paddington Station. Good for a quick 24 hour visit. Staff was very friendly. Rooms are dated and no blow dryer in the bathroom.
Good location No slippers offered .no free ontetney
Very nice and conveniently located above Paddington Station. No complaints on this one!
Service, room, gym all fine but for the price you are paying for location.
The location is very convenient, especially to take Express train to and from Heathrow. There are shops and Fish and Chips around, so no problem in finding food or buy souvenir. The room is crap, like a servant's room. We booked a triple room, but instead we are given a room on the ground floor which is meant to be for servants at the backyard and merely a 5sq.m. The hotel staff is not helpful at tall, with their arrogan and cool attitude (kind of "I don't care"). The room rate is far too high than it really worth - not to mention value for money. For daily room cleaning, the staff only make the bed, but not even cleaned the cups, nor refill coffe and tea and sugar, nor tidy up the room. And you cannot leave your luggage when you check out ! If you have any other choice, don't choose this crap hotel.
Location.... only! Many complains about the rooms. We booked a triple one but it was very dirty and small with 2 floors and stairs for the bathroom and no windows. We asked for change but we had to wait until the other day for new room. We had an awful night and the next morning they keep are luggage until the time of change. The new room was a little better without stairs but the towels was extremely dirty! And when we checked out they told us that they couldn't keep our luggage cause they hadn't room... but 2 days before they had... Awful and unacceptable! So much regretted...
super small room, even smaller bathroom(like 200x80cm with shower sink and toilet in), lift wasn't working for last 2 days, luckily we met a cleaner who told us we can use staff lift(it was 5th floor with luggage)
Location, bright room on 4th floor, window meant a lot. Room quite small, difficult to flush toilet, noise from hall,
Location and staff was friendly rumble from train or subway breakfast area small and unorganized
Co-operative Staff & Location of Hotel. Tough Bedding.
Helpful staff. They tried to help me and didn't forget about me. Comfortable bed. Room in basement, kind of smelly. Bathroom and plumbing not up to standard. Strong mechanical noise coming from the wall, some sort of machinery.
Location - really close to the tube and easy to get around, cheaper than a lot of hotels in the area. The room was really small, and not too clean.
Staying in active street and, at the same time, close to Hyde Park.
Location Everything else
Their cleaning was good. Hotel staffs were not kind. Double room was so small and shower facility didn't have much space even one person.
Nothing. My reservation was not done and the staff did not have a clue about anything. Rooms too small and cramped.
it was amazingly quiet for London, and the shower was very efficient and very easy to adjust to temp. desired I realize it was an inexpensive hotel but I have never had such a small towel, it was the size of a bathmat, surely they could be a bit larger.
The ability to go away from the hotel on a daily basis. The rooms were so small it was not possible to change opinions in there.
Location Rooms were very small. Not a 4 star hotel
Good location on a quiet street. Free internet in the rooms and free wi-fi in the lobby. Free upgrade to a double room. Friedly staff. Hotel seemed to be in a good condition. Even the double room was too narrow - you'd had to walk sideways past the bed. Breakfast was ridiculously expensive so we did not even check it out and chose to eat elsewhere.
clean pleasant hotel, staff polite and helpful.breakfast good value in pleasant surroundings.close to tube station
Well located Very small room
excellent location, friendly staff
Reception staff were very accomodating in letting us use their computer and printer to print off boarding passes. The locks on the windows were very poor and did not work. Even though we were on the top floor i was still concerned about the security of the room.
It waa our third time staying at the Shaftesbury and we like it. great value, good location and great staff i wish they had a gym, but I don't think many hotels in London have gyms
convenient location to Paddington Station Room in general and shower specifically were very small, even by European standards
Location - very close to metrostation and easy access to Heathrow airport Very small room, very small lift
our room right next door to bar everytime the door was opened into it , it creaked slowley shut then banged and the staff talked very loudly outside our door about going to bed this was at 3.40am not a great room location, if another room we would be happy with it overall
room is crazy small. Could not even take the chair under the table out to seat as it was too close to the bedroom. Could not open the luggage if not on the bed. One of the 2 main lights was not working.
Noise. They were hoovering up at 845 on a Sunday morning which woke us up. Also there was no real help or attention to us as guests when the air conditioning wasnt working. All we got was that we could open the window "if we tried hard enough" as we couldnt open it earlier. Also we were concerned about the security of opening a grouond floor window at night.
It's proximity to Paddington Underground and free internet use Room much too small, frayed carpet at entrance to room...VERY Small shower expect to be transfered on check in. It seems to be a regular happening between the various hotels in this proximity owned by this company
Very handy for tube but too small room, you could only open bathroom door half way before it hit the bed. Also we get hot water from both taps!
the hotel was close to the underground so made travel so easy. it was hot with no air conditioning.
Convienent. The room was very comfortable and had all the right services
The Breakfast was lovely, beds comfortable & the tv had a great selection of channels. There was no proper food for room service or a mini bar in the room. There was also no toliet roll in the room the second day.
The room was very quiet, looking out across the rooftops at the back of the hotel and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was no heating at all in the bathroom and as the outside temperature dropped to minus 2 deg C, we had very chilly showers!
Location. Small rooms, no breakfast.
I only stayed one night, so can't say much. It certainly was adequate4.
the friendly atmostphere
the kind stuff and the good location - close to bus/tube restaurants etc No
The hotel is well located. In a 5 minutes walk you can access the closest underground station. You could also walk easily to Oxford street (+/- 15 minutes walk) Our room on the 5th floor was furnished very poorly (no cupboard) and the bathroom is by far too small.
Very convenient location, close to station. Great eating places near by, staff friendly and willing to help, great breakfast
The breakfast was very ok. I booked an executive double room. They gave me room 512. Noise from neighboring rooms came in. Small oldfashioned TV, very oldfashioned furniture and a singleglass window of which the wood was rottened. No wardrobe, but only hangers available.... this was really disappointing. Small bathroom with no table to put your stuff on.... disappointing again, as I stayed there for 4 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpfull.
a basic small room. clean. warm the heating was very good. basic continental breakfast maily toast cereal bread with a bit of tasty cheese. hairdryer in the room and iron available at reception. lift small and slow. if I was staying in london again I would stay at norfolk it was ok for the price. there was nothing so bad that I would complain about but the Hilton it wasn't. nothing It was quite good/adaquate
the best thinng is the location of the hotel. quick access to Underground and to bus stations. even on a strike day we could take the express train to airport as the station is 5 min walking from the hotel. the basic brekfast was poor. Hotel was in an old building with old windows and doors. this means that it was noisy and cold air was comming in from the closed window. bathroom was very small.
Good location, friendly staff, large bathroom. Nothing major. Lock broken on toilet. Given twin beds pushed together even though I asked for a double broom.
It was very basic and cramped but then so be it. ditto- basic cramped but so be it.
Room was a box! Literally! No space to move at all and was freezing even though heating was on full blast! Bathroom was very damp! Needs to be done up urgently...we both felt very ill after our stay there!
Location 2 mins from Paddington. Ok first the price of £140 a night. For this price even in Central London should give you a quality hotel. Here the rooms are tiny 1970's decor 14 inch tv that worked sporadically. Had to put the kettle on the floor next to the socket to heat water. Powdered milk. 5% extra charge if paying by debit/credit card. £5 extra charge for breakfast. Lift was either slow or not working. Really you can do a lot better in London even for half the price I paid. Avoid this hotel at all costs.
Location excellent. Receptionists very good. Bar not staffed. Breakfast choice very limited. Breakfast room poorly maintained, stocked and staff very slow and unhelpful. Every floor and floorboard squeaked
The price was good compared to the other hotels around The rooms were relatively small and at some nights Sussex Gardnes street gets noisy at night.
The first room we had for two nights was very noisy because of the road. My two children and I didn't sleep very well. We were offered an other room on the other side for the last two rooms. This was much better! The service was good. Very tiny rooms.
Room was cold and bed uncomfortable. Took 10 minutes to print out a VAT receipt.
The location The accommodation is tired and dated, I was shocked at the size of the room, absolutely tiny (double room)...standing room only. I had asked for a twin room but only a double (or should I say single) was available. The bathroom was like a broom cupboard, only one person could fit in it at one time. Only 1 plug socket, so you can only have one thing on at a time. It was difficult to fill up the kettle, the bathroom basin is too small to get a kettle under the tap...you need to find a smaller container. Toilet seat was dirty!
Staff and booking process good Room - not particularly clean, quite shabby, extremely small
Single bed in very small room. Itchy blanket. Dirty en-suite.
Bad rooms, too small and no hot water!
Close to subway and Paddington station. Easy walk to Hyde Park and the rest of the Bayswater area. I felt the room was exceedingly small, with a very small bathroom. Also the air conditioning was not functional requiring that the window had to be left open for any chance of ventilation. This then lets in all street noise.
We did not have hot water in the shower.will never recommend.
Staff was friendly and accomodating requests such as change of room. Also the rooms are tastefully furnished and functional but very small. The size of the rooms is particularly small.
Very nice staff, clean and great location
The reception area was nice. It said it was a 4 star hotel. It wasn't. The rooms were small with just a bed with stuff from Ikea bundled around it. There was a standing light that was left unplugged as there was no electrical sockets. The bathroom was tiny and just a shower.
great location, renovated, clean small room, elevator out of service
it was decidedly average it was decidedly average
clean rooms Tiny rooms, no bar or restaurant facilities no air conditioning
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Great location, near Hyde Park and Paddington and Lancaster Gate Tube stations. Room was small, but fine for a long weekend stay. Wifi was slow.
The room although small was comfortable and clean. On arrival at the Hotel advised there was a problem with water and moved to a sister hotel in Earls Court. Stayed there one night and then had to move back to Hyde Park Towers as this hotel was then full. Seemed to spend most of weekend packing/unpacking bags and travelling in what were at least complimentary taxis. Far from satisfactory, believe Hotel was overbooked and water problem was just an excuse. Staff very embarrassed by situation and very inexperienced.
The reception staff were very courteous, polite and extremely helpful. I had been upgraded from an Executive Single to a Double Room, however the Double was tiny - barely wide enough to accommodate the bed, which had to be climbed over to reach the wardrobe. Also, there was no hot water.
It is fairly close to Paddington Station. The entrance and lobby are under construction. What a mess, and noise during the day. I wish I had been warned. Plus, my room was the smallest I ever had. There wasn't enough room to even walk past the end of the bed without sitting and sliding. The bathroom so small that it's really a standup shower with a toilet and sink in it. I will not stay there again.
Room was very small & insufficient wardrobe space
The simple bedroom decor, linen and bathroom facilities. The room service menu is very poor and delivered to the room without any cover on. Very expensive for what it is
I believe that a housekeeping staff member mistakenly removed personal products of mine from my room. When I asked the managers about this they immediately checked into it, but said that nothing was removed. I know that is not the case, so it's a bit disappointing that they didn't consider that they perhaps did make a mistake.
All good standard
Free WiFi in the rooms, and a handy work desk where they had outlets for USB chargers and a connection for tv out. Inconsistent cleaning and refilling of necessities, we drank our instant coffee the first night and never got it refilled and our friends got their shampoo and conditioner removed after the first night and never got any new ones after that (very odd). And no free breakfast when using booking.com... something you would get for the same rate if you book directly through their website.
Toilet seat in room was very loose.
The bed are soft ,no bath but good shower small rooms, they used every square inch available ,hartly any room for suitcases.General speeking rooms are to small. No taxi available outside, no publick transport, makes it dificuld to move around. this can not called a delux room.
That after 4 days i was going home.... Heating in the room was very poor. Bathroom extremly small and with out shower screen, toilet paper holder on the floor and always wet because of lack of shower screen. No mini bar in room. Room aslo extremly small for the price we paid.
Modern decor and cleanliness No heat in room. Re-located to a second room because of no heat only to have the second room have no heat. Third room had heat but was extremely small (12" between end of bed and tv).
It is new. The single room is so crammed that you could hardly had room for a single luggage. The bathroom is so crammed that when you pulled the shower curtain, there was not enough room to scrub your body.
Good location, nice local restaurants, clean rooms, good web access in lobby, attractive hotel. A bit pricey, and television controls incredibly convoluted. Would prefer standalone iPod docking port.
Arrived in uk, (Heathrow, terminal 5) following long-haul flight and took Paddington Express train. 7-Minute walk with heavy luggage to hotel from train - only about four steps to climb when exiting station. Nice quiet room with bath and shower, tv, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee making facilities. Liked location very much; close to a mini- Sainsbury's, cafes, bars and restaurants and dry cleaners. Lovely oudoor, amphitheater style relaxing area. Easy access, via short train journey approx 25mins, to Wembley Stadium (best route is Ham./City line to Bakerloo then easy change to Chiltern railway to Wembley). Fabulous breakfast in our room, delivered hot and on time. Overly expensive internet access. Although there were two computers available for free Internet in the lobby, these were normally occupied by children playing games.
Very efficient, clean, comfortable and excellent location
The bar staff and daytime front desk staff were superb. The gentleman staffing the frontdesk in the evening stayed on the phone with peronal calls making it impossible to call down to request a wakeup call. I eventually just walked down to take care of this.
Facility. Good internet access. Swimming pool is also clean and tidy. The area is very modern and seems made very recently, Rooms and services are Novotel standard and I like it. Location is a bit issue. Close to Paddington but not from main area (like backyard) and you need to walk 10mins. And some road is not so flat then you would have a little difficulty if you have heavy suitcase. Far to take a walk, too close to take a taxi from Paddington station.
very close to paddington train station, supermarket, starbucks and place to eat. they allow me to check in early. and the breakfast was good. and i had to do an early check out to catch a flight, so they gave me take out breakfast.
Overall very high standard of hotel, very friendly staff. A great base for a weekend in London.
quality of the room cost of WiFi and access to the hotel (no shortcut nighttime)
Nice clean comfortable rooms with close location to rail and tube station. We needn't have worried about being disturbed by the trains no noise at all in the room. Would definitely stay here again. The only small gripe we had was the room only had one spare pillow.
The bed seemed to be two single beds joined together so there was a very uncomfortable ridge through the middle. Apart from that room was a good size and clean.
The staff were excellent and very helpful and the hotel was clean and tidy We asked for two rooms next to each other one was on the 4th floor and was was in a separate part which wasnot accessible by lift this was very disappointing. The weeknd was a present for my friend it was disappointing and not value for money. My bathroom was too small and the tolilet area was so cramped I couldnt even sit properly on the tolilet seat very diappointing for the money it cost.
Location was very good, close by to the central line.Found the porters helpful with our luggage. At arrival we were given a room that was flooded, a new room was arranged which was the room above also flooded, water on floor, walls the smell and humidity was terrible. The manager arrives and apologize and says that he will give us a new and better room. This room is at main hotel across the road[where you check in on arrival].The room was very small and the layout was terrible. In order to get to the wardrobe you had to drag your luggage across the bed as it was only a few centimeters of space between the end of the bed and the wall.In the bathroom everything was hanging loose from the walls.Breakfast very overpriced at 15pounds.I and my teenaged daugther will not stay here again.
No information about the reception situated in the Paddington Court Hotel across the street. No heater turned on when I arrived to the hotel, which meant it was very cold in the room. No information about how to turn on the heater in the bathroom. Asked the first morning for a blanket, didn't get any during my 6 nights stay at the hotel.
It was clean, room small but cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect
Location - close to Paddington Station for direct access to airport and very convienient to Hyde Park and tube stations Tv was very unresponsive to the remote control - we were not there to watch TV so was not a major drama but when we wanted to watch the news it was very frustrating trying to access channels
Quiet, clean, not picturesque but OK location. Tea & coffee in room. 5 min walk to tube. Small room, but clean & pleasant. Shower rather than bath. Breakfast wasn't inclusive and cost £9 pre-booked, £12 if not. Irritating. I went 2 mins around the corner for breakfast to a good choice of reasonable cafes. You have to cross the street to the main hotel anyway, so why not take the cheaper option? Take it as a given that all London hotels are over-priced, but the really cheap ones are terrible. Therefore for me this was acceptable. I would consider it again, but continue to search for the perfect london hotel at around £100 night rates. (Surely you should get breakfast for that?)
Tidy and clean room. Water pressure in bathroom is very very poor. Water cold and it would take an hour to run a bath.
The hotel was cheaper than other options and is reasonably located Rooms are small but useable. The furniture and fittings are of high quality but are aging and are now tatty. The carpet was pealing at the edges and the wood was chipped on a lot of surfaces.
very clean, speacious, underfloor heating in bathroom people need to know that you check in at the hotel across the street
I stayed there for the convenience to take the Heathrow Express; it took me only 30 minutes from the hotel to Heathrow Terminal 3 with 2 pieces of luggages. Superb location!!! The room is really small for a twin; we could not even open our suitcase flat!!!
