Price Room was a bit small
The place is fantastic and the staff was very kind.
Very helpfull staff and some are even french speakers. Great breakfast organisation and good choice. Nice to have a bar in the hostel for the first night ! Having a big and comfy living room would be nice.
Location was good. Reception staff very friendly. Breakfast was a bit like organised chaos and the kitchen and accomodation staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. Also, charging £2 per towel per day was a bit ridiculous.
Surprisingly comfortable youth hostel, helpful staff. Good value for money. Noisy bar but luckily our room was far away from it. Noise from other residents coming home late disturbing at night.
Annoying and dirty.
Friendly and clean. Breakfast included. Cosy. Nice building.Good sound-proofing. Room too small, Lockers not big enough for small suitcase.
Toilets and showers Luggage room is not properly secured
Great location, walking distance to everything and a tresco right across the street. Friendly staff, very helpfu. Good wifi connection in com areas. No kitchen. Stayed for two weeks and has to either eat out or at the hostels restaurant. Not ideal when staying long period of time. Shower rooms where tiny, not much room to move. Building site outside my window, load early in the morning and late at night
This is the second time I have ever stayed in a hostel...I can say with confidence that I will definately stay here again... $20 a night?! Who could say no! Also close to Elephant and Castle tube station too!! I personally dont think it a good idea to have children (both male and female) sharing the same shower and toilet facilities as adults. I would strongly recommend having at least 1 floor dedicated to minors!
I liked that it was well located (less than 10 minutes walk to the Elephant & Castle tube station), St Pancras train station is 15 minutes away by tube and there are many buses around the hostel. You can also find a Spar and a Tesco Express supermarket as well as many kebabs next door if you want to grab something to eat. I stayed in a 4 beds dorm wich was clean and I had a nice view on the Shard. Toilets and shared showers were clean too. Wifi was only available in sharing areas (only reception, " bar " and tv lounge). Also, the windows in the dorm were old and made of glass that was partially shattered so you could hear the traffic as if you were sleeping in the street. It can also be quite cold so I don't recommend staying there during fall or winter. Bed's matresses aren't confortable so I wouldn't recommend staying there for too long either. When it comes to eating in, there is a bar near the reception that sells £4 pizzas, sandwiches, coffee and many other things but it is only open from 12 to 19 and during these hours there wasn't anyone working at the bar so I couldn't get anything...
Lively place and great atmosphere. I stayed in a twin bunk ensuite and was perfect for a little more privacy. Bus stop right outside the gates Wifi only available in common room and entertainment room
The atmosphere was amazing, the common areas were decorated impeccably, the staff were genuinely friendly, and the ground floor had enough chill out/get rowdy/eat food areas that a) you could always find a space suitable for your mood, and b) the rooms stayed quiet and peaceful. Also, the number of outlets was astounding, and the WiFi excellent, even though my room was on the fifth floor. The toilets were backed up a few times. It was always fixed quickly, but the frequency of blockages was a little concerning.
Location staff No blanket
It was cheap. It was loud and smoky.
The efficient re-action of the staff. The floor carpet is very dirty. The electirc plug is not enought. There are obly two plugs for 4-bed room.
enviroment creak of the bed
I liked the help provided about tours and anything needed during my stay. I also like having a club and bar in the hotel it was great>
Great location Cleanliness in the bathroom quite poor, one day there was not even hot water for the shower...
nice, friendly staff. Very good services.
friendly staff, free wifi, excellent location.
The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The prices are the best compared with others. The breakfast was always served in time and wasperfect. Skype
the bathroom was clean, honestly didnt expect that !!! and the staff were very helpful, and the hostel in general was secure. i would diffinetly stay there again in my next visit.
I really liked the humanity of the staff I did not like the toilets and showers were broken because
friendliness of the staff, already recommended to several others
The common rooms were great. It was really nice to have the opportunity to meet new people, when spending time in the TV and internet-room, and in the kitchen. All of these rooms were newly renovated, and the self-catering kitchen was quite well equipped. I stayed in a 4-bed room. It was really small and there was barely room for one person to stand at one time. However, because you spend very little time in the room, it was good enough. The bed quite hard, but I slept well still. The bathrooms and showers were clean, but they were old and shabby, but hopefull they are planing to renovate them soon.
For what I have paid,I cannot complain,I did sleep well and wake up in the morning could not complain for that The only thing I noted was when I arrived I gave my name, the receptionist told me to pay in Cash(£10) she could not take payment on the card since it was just £10,any other alternative, what if I did not have cash on
Fantastic location right near Kings Cross station, excellent value, great overall look and feel, very laid back & surprisingly quiet
