Cons: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

Pros:
Cons: Everything was okay except one point happened in the reception, they get 100£ As deposit for any additional service, however during my checking out they refused for refund because they believe that the didn’t detect the full amount of the room rate, but after checking the admitted it was their mistake and release the amount of 100£. Thanks

Pros:
Cons: Room was like a dungeon. Very disappointing.
6.3 Good
Pros: All the staff were great, very friendly and wanting to help.
Cons: I didn't like the room, we were given a disabled room with disabled fixtures and fittings in the bathroom, I didn't request this and wasn't informed about it, the first I new was when we got to the room. Paintwork flaking off of woodwork, split silicone sealant around sink area. Your average premier Inn room was better than this...….and much cheaper. Frosted secondary double glazing on the windows, absolutely no view at all, pull aside the secondary glazing to reveal the middle of the building, pipes, ductwork and filth everywhere (explains the frosted glass).
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view of the Thames. Staff was so courteous and helpful. Location!
Cons: The bed was on rollers. It constantly moved.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing good to say. Extremely disappointing
Cons: I was downgraded from a deluxe room to a standard room (essentially.a closet)and my compensation was a 14 £ cocktail. The following day the y transferred me to a deluxe room and despite two request to make sure there were no feathers in the room...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location was great and the room very nice
Cons: The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Check in took forever. A welcome drink or water would have been nice since it was a very hot day in London

5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is great.
Cons: Firstly I don’t like the service of the bell boy at the front gate. I have been to a lot of hotels including five stars but never have seen the attitude like the bell boys from that hotel. All are standing even though seeing the customer is taking luggages. Secondly I don’t like the attitude of front desks stuff. Already requested for an early check in as I have a meeting and I arrived the hotel at 2:30. It was half an hour before of that hotel policy to check in time. They won’t let me in until 3:03pm and said the room is not ready yet. Seeing the customer is waiting and sitting there for half an hour, they have no effort like asking the housekeeper whether the room is ready or no welcome drink at all. Thirdly, I don’t like the room. I booked a river view but the view of the window is so small and can’t even say it is a view. I am feeling my money for that view is not worth it. The room is so small and the hotel is very old. Fourth, the elevator is very old model 1000kgs type and very narrow. It was stopping once in every floor. Very disappointed to take that elevator. Fifthly, I stayed in that hotel at the raining day. The hotel is so old and so bad and even water drops are pouring drop by drop from the ceiling. I saw a bucket and it was collecting the rain drops in front of the elevator entrance of eighth floor. I was so shocked seeing the rain dropping from the ceiling. When I check about the hotel, it says “the Royal Horseguards” is a Five Star Hotel. I don’t know in what part it is being rated five stars. I will rate it not even a three star hotel.

The bathroom with the heated floor was very nice surprise. Doorman was wonderfully welcoming, the bellboys were quick and helpful and the concierge was professional and always pleasant and patient.
Cons: I asked for an early check in which wasn't possible and I understood this. However, when I returned at the regular check in time, the receptionist without checking with anyone, insisted the room still wasn't ready. Had to ask for the manager, who after checking with housekeeping, found the room was ready. Receptionist was not happy at being contradicted and was less than pleasant for the rest of the check-in process. Not offered breakfast discount on check-in so would have paid substantially more if I hadn't found out about the discount by accident. Stayed two nights. Mini-fridge was not restocked the second day. Took 45 minutes to get a bucket of ice and then felt guilty for asking for it when we found out the poor guy doing room service was the only one on duty. Seems like the hotel needs to amp up the staff numbers to provide the five star service you're paying for.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location close to metro and Westminster abbey and Trafalgar Square.
Cons: Breakfast average. Expensive price per night.

Pros: The location was very convenient to many of the sites and activities we had planned as well as a tube station (St. James Court). However, be warned the station entrance closest to the hotel is locked early in the morning, late at night and on Sundays.
Cons: The facilities were ancient. The room was incredibly small and dated. There was peeling paint on the walls old mis-matched furniture and the curtains had stains on them. Not sure how this could be classified as 4 stars when it most closely resembled a poorly maintain motel. The manager will tell you that they are in the middle of a renovation however, to let their hotel fall into such disarray prior to starting a renovation is shameful.

Pros: Room was big spacious and great views
Cons: London’s a big place to walk around.

Pros: Clean rooms. Hotel is situated in the centre and access to everything e.g the eye, station, Big Ben, Westminister, palace etc
Cons: Reception and bar staff could not understand English properly. Informed reception staff on the first day that the shower was block. Sadly this was not resolved so we had to shower with water overflowing into the bathroom and had to use the large towels to wipe the water off the floor. Meals are slightly too expensive.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good choice of food at breakfast. Very comfortable room.
Cons: There was no bacon at breakfast. I also couldn't find a dairy free alternative to milk to have with the cereal

Pros: Location
Cons: Not enough space at breakfast.

Pros: Excellent room with a view of the London Eye, overall a great stay. Provided free breakfast to our room after forgetting to include the wine and chocolate strawberries I had asked for in the room.
Cons: Forgot to include the chocolate strawberries and wine that I had pre ordered for the room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds comfy nice and clean
Cons: The hotel was under construction felt there was only half of the hotel there but they failed to mention this when booking the bar looked like a standard house bar no where near as good as the previous time we visited a few year ago we were disappointed as it was our anniversary and wanted t to be as special as the first time wasn't the same and was still very pricey spent ended up paying for upgrade costing in total £578 for two nights for two people only to find the hotel closed off at one side ?? Kind regards e.westcott

Pros: Assume the hotel would have been excellent.
Cons: Beware!! The booking agent Cancelon has a early date trigger converting to a non-refundable reservation after promoting "free cancelation". Its geared to pushing the non-refundable reservation to their site to sell. The listing process was incredibly difficult requiring re-entering all online data resulting in no sale or compensation. Would avoid booking through Cancelon in the future.

Pros:
Cons: The wait time for everything was exceedingly slow. A food order could take over 90 min for delivery.
The rooms were not sound proof you could here every person who walked by and what they were saying.
The staff were not trained for a hotel of that price.
The breakfast selection was mediocre and the same everyday for the 9 days I was there. The hotels decor is old and outdated. It was difficult to even have a bottle of water delivered.
The food was less and average.

Pros: Appreciated coffee machine in lobby. Also greatly appreciated the later check out especially since it was at no extra cost. The apart hotel makes for a more relaxed stay than a normal hotel. Front desk staff were very efficient and most helpful - well done!
Cons: Having requested a walk in shower it took a while on arrival to find the premises has none. Likewise it took a while to find out that the Hotel has no feather pillows - this was important as some pillows felt like feathers. Hand rails at the entrance steps were sadly lacking. I'm not sure that preserving the character of the original building is a good enough excuse for this. Disability access is important these days.

7.1 Good
Pros: Location is amazing close to Trafalgar Square and the Tube lines (Charing Cross and Embankment Station). The staff were really good even though I got some negative vibes from one after I made complaint around air conditioning breaking down and how it was handled.
Cons: I had room 112 (17-21 Sept) which had tired decor and non functioning air conditioning. Air con had broken down which they had to then switch off for the whole building (which happened after a recent repair) and would be non functioning for another 2 weeks (according to them). Staff provided a fan AND portable air con unit which made the room just survivable. It’s an old building which needs work. My impression is that the hotel group is milking profit from the location and using it for staff training. The staff I encountered were doing their best with great attitudes but clearly no real accountability or ownership with front desk managers coming and going on a daily basis. Almost felt a sense that they knew the building is working against them and having to deal with grumpy customers for a day to develop better service skills.

Pros: Great location (just off Trafalgar Sq. and 2 mins walk from the tube station); room is big by London's standard and the price; reasonable facilities
Cons: The room smelled a bit when I first moved in, especially the kitchenette, either it got better later or I got used to it. Linens were not changed during my stay (3 nights), but you sort of expect that with a serviced apartment. I would be better if we were told how often they change though.

Pros: We liked the location as we were visiting art galleries and also had a trip to the theatre. It is in a very convenient spot.

Pros: A lovely, clean & comfortable hotel, though a bit on the expensive side. Booked the Premium Double & the Double/Twin rooms. Both were well sized rooms by European standards, (where rooms are usually very small), with very comfortable beds. The location was super. Very close to the British Museum (worth a visit), 5 mins walk to Tottenham Court tube station & about 10 mins to Oxford Street. There are lots of eating places & shops around. All the staff at the Reception & the Concierge were very polite, helpful & accomodating. They have a lovely restaurant 'Scoff & Banter' which has good food, in case one is tired & wants to eat in.
