Pros: Fantastic Hotel Experience! The room, lighting and British-ish decor of the room was just what we were looking for. Everyone in the hotel was friendly, the room luxurious and yet affordable compared to other 5 star hotels nearby (our stay was half the price of other 5 star hotels closer to Buckingham palace and with a kind bed). Centrally located, the Langham was only a 10 minute walk from public transportation and minutes away from a Starbucks. If traveling with an infant, you have access to a refrigerator and can request a crib. LOVED the club room w/ complementary breakfast (6:30-11am) and tea time (2-4pm) was a great treat! Access to two restaurants, a bar and cub room provided many food options. Morning and evening room service was very luxurious. Definitely coming back and recommending.
Cons: Front entrance does not have a ramp BUT there is a side elevator (important if you have a stroller). The bed we had seemed old as there was a BIG dent from where most guests must've slept (to be fair, most hotels are this way). I know this hotel had a pool, but for some reason I didn't see a sign for it, or perhaps we never noticed it.

We were there for our wedding night and the hotel very kindly upgraded us to an executive suite. The fact the hotel manager had hand-written a (fairly lengthy) congratulations card, and left us some 'congratulations' sweets and cakes was also a very thoughtful touch.

Cons: Limited television satellite news channels (no CNN), limited television capabilities or a little bit difficult to find channels especially when one press button number 1. It doesn't recognize the difference between 1 and 11. Also it wasn't easy to find local BBC channels. No channel paper list in the room .
Occupying an entire block in stylish Marylebone, the Landmark is four blocks from Regent's Park; an adjacent underground/train station provides a link to the rest of London.
The staff disputed with me about this pre-authorisation block for some time, saying it was hotel policy. What? I realise a check is needed to ensure customers have suitable funds but charging twice is completely unnecessary.
Pros: Great location, particularly for shopping
Cons: Charged a pre-authorisation fee the day before check in and then charged the full cost on check in meaning you pay twice, until the pre-Authorisation block (as they described it) is released again. Four days later still no money back! Not happy!
Located in Marylebone, this luxury hotel is within a 10-minute walk of Marble Arch and Selfridges. Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum and Royal Academy of Music are also within 1 mi (2 km).
Pros: This was a very charming hotel. The location was wonderful - only a few blocks from an Underground station and Hyde Park. The staff was great - very helpful and friendly. The concierge helped with getting tickets to museums and other attractions as well as trains, which saved a great deal of time not waiting in long lines. We took advantage of the breakfast service. The food was good with lots of options. The waitstaff was very attentive. We did not have to wait long for assistance. The maid staff was fine as well and also very friendly. On several occasions, we had to call the front desk to request additional towels and they arrived within minutes.
Cons: The Rembrandt is an older hotel with some of the issues associated with that. For example, the "switch" that controlled power to the room would "break" if the bathroom door was closed to hard in our room or a neighboring room. This could be easily fixed by tapping on the control panel. The room had a small table and desk, so there was no room for a wardrobe. It was a little difficult living out of a suitcase for two weeks. It would have been smarter to remove the desk and substitute some drawers for clothing.
Pros: Well designed room; very complete; lots of nice touches. Heated towel rack; jacuzzie tub; upscale furnishings; even has a couple of 110/115 outlets. Location cannot be beat; just down from Harrods and up from South Kensington Underground station two stops away from Victoria Station and 4 stops away from Westminster Station. The BigBus "hop on hop off" number 36 is just out front and the narrated tour the bus provides last right at 3.5 hours with city traffic and goes to every single place of interest. Tour bus pricing varies based on package deal but around $30 per person. The staff of the hotel always exceeds expectation; Neal, the head concierge; is full of insights for the area; found us a large private van to Heathrow for $65. We had 4 big bags from a twoo week Cruise, so the large Mercedes was excellent. The hotel and its ammenities are moderately pricied if not leaning a little toward expensive, as in breakfast; but in tota,l worth the money especially if on vacation. A superior experience; will stay here again when visiting London for sure.

Centrally located downtown. Close to the tube. Pros: The food was delicious! Breakfast consisted of Indian food and your traditional English breakfast. I am a vegan so I was very happy with the Indian food choices. The wait staff at the Hampton Bar was top notch. We never had to wait for anything. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: There was a lot of construction happening across the street when we visited, but that is no fault of the hotel. Our room was not facing the street, so it was not a disruption.

Pros: This hotel offers a welcome change from the big American chain hotels. Although it is part of an Indian chain, it has managed to preserve an old world charm. The Christmas tree in the lobby along with all the comfy couches and the Elle lovely courtyard made it feel very cozy and comfortable.

We stayed in better rooms in this hotel in the past. They used to give us welcome notes and a fruit basket to thank us for coming back But, this time, no note, not a great room, as if they were indifferent because we had booked through Kayak (with which they are not partner). It was not possible to change for a better room for 4 days. Then, a wonderful attendant, Adriana moved us to a better room for an additional fee. So,we had s a better experience toward the end of the stay.

Pros: We booked this friend to stay overnight as our friends were having their wedding at The Ballroom in Park Plaza. Thank god the wedding was good, because that was the only good thing about this hotel!!
Cons: As we were part of the bridal group we contacted the hotel months, weeks and even the day before check in to request an early check in, that never happened!! As an apology because our hair and make up artist was standing in reception, we were only upgraded for 2 of the 4 rooms. During and after the wedding, we got stuck in the lift (which was already broken but not decommissioned) no apology from the evening staff and no acknowledgement of their errors, rather I am told "I am done talking to you". After our party having spent tens and thousands of pounds, this is the treatment we received. No compensation and no complimentary offers to any of us.

This fantastic new hotel is located on the South Bank, near London Eye. Waterloo and Westminster stations are within 5 minutes walk, making easier to travel and ideal choice for city break or business trip.

Pros: This hotel is "THE" place to stay. Location-Staff-Amenities-Location!!! Excellent location to walk around London en"Joy"ing the sites. Looking at the map you will immediately realize this is a premium place to anchor your rest area. A mere 100 yards from the Charing Cross tube station, this hotel offers a more quiet locale compared to the Piccadilly area (only 1 stop away on the tube).
Before I was able to ask for an early check-in the front desk professional politely stated, "If you and your family would like, you may check-in now (at noon--3 hours early!!!). After flying on a 7 hour red-eye inbound these words golden to our bodies. This unexpected blessing let us rejuvenate with a 30 minute nap before we laced up our walking shoes. Without a doubt, this proved to be 'the most invaluable" act of kindness from the staff. According to our Fitbit we then walked over 20,000 steps and 10+ miles taking nearly 500 pictures and fondly did so with smiles--no way we could have done this without that early check-in and needed pre-rest I visited for a quick 24 hours trip (with 2 teenage kids) to gain intel for when rest of family comes so we'll be squared away. Fantastic experience! Please do yourself a favor and simply stay at the CQ Trafalgar Square. Now go to the next item on your travel checklist--the place to stay is solved.
Lastly, remember that when writing and reading reviews, we cannot and should not evaluate others in their actions by using "our intentions" as the litmus test to criticize their performance. Translation: If I can only make porridge or PB&J's, I have no authority to critique one who "is" a chef but has different taste buds than my own.

Pros: This was my second stay at this hotel. I stay in Bloomsbury twice a year for business and usually stay at the Morgan Hotel. My first visit was not great. I was not recognized as a gold member while there and was given a pretty small but nicely appt. room. I had not planned on going back but there was a good deal on Agoda for a suite and so I thought I would give them another try. The room was fabulous! Room service was perfect with excellent customer service. The customer service except for a few blips here and there was very good. Just lovely all they way around and now I will look forward to staying there again in the future.
Cons: I was checked in by a very nice woman who talked so lightly that I had to ask her to repeat things. She also did not handle my credit card correctly and so I ended up not being able to charge to my room--slight inconvenience--not terrible. I had a business call that got cut off and the switchboard kept connecting my party to the wrong hotel--more problematic. The breakfast wait staff was not very good. I had to get up from my table to chase them down for a cup of coffee. The basically seat you and then do not attend to you there after. The dinner food was quite good the breakfast is not worth the 21 pounds. Next time I will probably go out for breakfast.

Cons: You sent us an email to check into the hotel with time of check in room floor etc
We filled this in sent it back and you sent back confirmation of our check in on the morning of the booking
When we arrived at the hotel we were told by the duty manager they did not have a room for us
Reason was the person did not move out of the room
This of course is utter rubbish I believe the true reason is we booked the room through you at a discounted rate they were then able to sell the room at full rate so we were left without a room
Of course this teachers us and others a lesson never to deal with you again and never stay at the Chelsea Harbour
We could of course been informed earlier in the day but nobody even cares when you are paying cheap rates

Pros: The hotel is located in an ideal part of London with the opportunity to walk to nearby shops and restaurants. The staff is very helpful and attentive without being burdensome. The rooms as spacious and well supplied.

Lots of storage (drawers, closet space). Very professional staff. Free printing so we could checkin for our departure flight. Comfortable bed and pillows.
Cons: Renovations still ongoing. Construction was happening in the room next to us during the day on a weekday. No construction on weekends and it started at a reasonable hour on weekdays. Few amenities in hotel, but we weren't looking to use them. My wife didn't sleep as well as she needs a contour pillow and one wasn't available.

Palmers Lodge Swiss Cottage - Hostel puts you within a 10-minute drive of London Zoo and Selfridges. You can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge, and continental breakfast is available daily. This Victorian hostel is also within a short drive of Lord's Cricket Ground and Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.

Pros: Well we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at the Mayfair and the staff could do more for us. We come back to our room to find a complimentary bottle of bubbly and chocolates, such a great supprize for both myself and the wife. Would we stay again definitely 100%.

Cons: The out of town crowd the hotel attracts is undesirable... I often made to feel like second class due to the fact I am a woman... I hear this crowd often descends on London in the summer though so I can't slight the hotel for accommodating to them
Cons: The carpeting in the common halls was old and worn, giving the hotel a dowdy feel, like something one might find along a highway used for a quick overnight stay on a trip to someplace else.

Cons: Housekeeping not on par with 5 star hotels. Sometimes they forget to clean the room. I have to call to ask them to clean otherwise they would wait hours and hours before they clean.

Cons: Lots of street noise from night clubs across the street. When the Queue formed 11pm + and especially when the club closed 1:30-2:30am, the street noise was very loud (above TV level). The only night it was not an issue was when it was raining.
The room also didn't have a bath tub.

Pros: I find the facilities & staff are most welcoming, friendly & always available. I have been using this London Hotel for many years, in fact when it was called The Royal Lancaster Hotel. I do hope it will revert to that title in the future. Thank you to all for making me feel " @ home" while enjoying my stay.

Cons: Free Wi-Fi was really non-existent; at least in our room. Also, TV had only three channels, which we were not informed of on check-in. However the staff was apologetic and offered complimentary full breakfast for the inconvenience.
