Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Very comfortable. Definitely consider next time I am in Chicago.
Cons: Not a huge issue, just didn’t expect to hear the El train so well especially since we were on the back of the hotel. Ordered room service twice and did not receive the drinks I requested. I did not raise the issue to the staff so they were not able correct the issue. I am sure they would have corrected it if they knew.

Pros: Location
Cons: Restaurant / Bar should be coordinated more with hotel / stay, .. i.e. we had to pay for a cup of coffee in the morning after we had a small cup in our room. TV is off to side in bedroom and can't tilt.
7.0 Good
Pros: The dining room and location
Cons: The city shut off our water for repairs, I had rotten food a previous guest left in my ice bucket and housekeeping never checked, and I was charged a $19.95 fee per day and told it was for the perks.?? This was never told in advance.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and location. Room clean and well maintained.
Cons: One negative was the relatively small pool and hot tub area was over run on Friday evening with 20 plus people there for a party. There was clearly just one guest that had invited too many others that prevented use by any other guests.Wish hotel regulated
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location!! Staff was amazing! Super nice and helpful. I was one of “those” people who constantly needed directions and/or recommendations. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Cons: I loved the property. If I had to mention something, it would be getting coffee in the morning. It wasn’t difficult, but it could have been more convenient. My time was limited....trying to grab a quick cup of coffee before a meeting. Craft was near empty...which was fine. At least I got a half cup. Then I ended up having to wait about 15 minutes to get my change back. For the price I paid for the room, they should have comped a half cup of coffee as a courtesy. Seriously, not a big deal though. Everything else was fantastic.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I like that the front desk gave us bottled water, and were there to help with any questions we had had. They printed out our tickets for a concert that we were going to see. I also liked that all the employees at the hotel were very nice.
Cons: I think that the valet parking was kind of expensive. I believe the hotel should make it known that you may have to pay for valet, or find your own parking when coming to stay. I was never aware of this until I was stuck in traffic, trying to find the hotel and trying to figure out parking. It's upsetting finding out last second that I need to pay 72$ for valet, if I do not want to waste time parking.

Pros: This hotel was in a fantastic location and staff was extremely kind.
Cons: Unfortunately the rooms were dated and that alone made the experience not as enjoyable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The separation of bedroom and sitting room. Great bar and bar service. Service in the restaurant
Cons: Not a good menu for breakfast or dinner The rooms are somewhat tired.
6.7 Good
Pros: Great location to The Mag Mike
Cons: We could hear the elevator all night long. Restaurant closed early for private event. Rude BMO employee (staying in the hotel for private event) pushed past my children to run onto the elevator and didn’t like when we confronted him. Mumbled expletives at us when we exited. Fun times

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Checked in pretty early
Cons: We came for a date night.. and a special cocktail at the restaurant. Aloe can you go. Was not on the menu any more. The cocktail they recommended was not good at all. It was missing something. We ordered a snack from the menu. Did not taste good. We decided that , ok let's look forward to breakfast. They did have something because of delivery issues.
1.0 Poor
Pros: It was clean and in a good location for the event we were attending. We had a horrible experience with valet. For a little bit more, we could have stayed steps away at a hotel that is exceptional.
Cons: Although we checked out at approx 5 am and texted valet for our vehicle 20 min before checkout, the valet could not find our keys for over 45 min. He had to get my husband to go back to the garage to find the keys.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Nice lounge area in the hotel. Short walk to attractions (art museum, millennium park, the Willis tower). Excellent restaurant attached to the property. Try the Hamilton cocktail.
Cons: Some repairs needed in bathroom and bed frame
5.8 Okay
Pros:
Cons: Lobby sparse. Staff on desk pleasant but certainly not enthusiastic. The room was sparse. No drawers for clothes. Didn’t appreciate having to live out of our suitcases. Only 5 hangers and tiny closet. One bath robe for 2 People? Request for a 2nd one never arrived. Empty bar fridge, no snacks etc. No literature on visiting Chicago. Very disappointing for a Hyatt. Will not stay at this hotel again. If I had not prepaid I would have changed hotels.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The shower was very nice and clean.
Cons: The bed and pillows were not comfortable at all.The bed was very low to the ground. The air in the room was extremely dry. The complimentary snack/coffee area on the 3rd floor was kind of a joke. It was apples and oranges and the coffee maker didn
5.0 Okay
Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: Has very little in common with Hyatt brand hotels. More like an extremely modern boutique hotel. Rooms were attractive but poorly designed for typical hotel guest use. Beds were too low and not comfortable. Too much street noise. I do not plan to return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and adequate. The lounge on the 3rd floor was a nice touch.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, spacious rooms. Clean.
Cons: The breakfast at the restaurant. The fact the receptionist did not explain at all about the hotel facilities, we had to find out everything by ourselves, Also the activities that took place in Chicago that weekend like open house chicago that happens once a year were not mentioned at all. I had the feeling of kind of cold hospitality. Nevertheless, the receptionist at the day we left was very helpful. Terrible view from the room, it was an office building, in working hours you could not open the curtains because of the people watching you.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff, comfortable room.
Cons:
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room design and layout
Cons: None
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Super close to the workshop I had to attend.
Cons: Parking is expensive.
6.0 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: This hotel is rated 4.5 stars, but is more in line with a 3 star hotel. The 4 star hotel on the next block is much nicer. The bathroom door offers no privacy. The room is bare and not what I would expect from a 4.5 star property. Parking is expensive.

Cons: The only thing I can think of and that I heard others say was that for the money you paid for the room there should be a microwave and refrigerator. There was a refrigerator but it was full of their stuff that you could by. I had some left over Chicago pizza that I could not take back to the room because there was not where to keep it. You can request an additional refrigerator but I didn't want to do that for some pizza.

Pros: It was kind of quaint.
Cons: The only thing I didn't care for was the parking rate. Due to limited space downtown, businesses charge to park. The hotel offers valet service but charges a high rate. I think downtown Chicago should be modeled after Vegas with parking.

Pros: The bed!
Cons: No room service, and I couldn't figure out the t.v.

Pros: The location was fantastic for walking around Chicago. And the staff was helpful and friendly. The complimentary water was also much appreciated.
Cons: The elevators ran so slow sometimes! And it could have used a dish towel or drying rack in the room. Also, it would have been nice to be able to control the thermostat instead of just the fan.

Pros: The location is superb. Pretty near the Union Station and to other landmarks. Really at the heart of Chicago.
Cons: How close the rooms' doors are to each other, being in the corner and surrounded by 2-3 doors (?). It's pretty distracting to hear the doors from the other rooms getting open and closed throughout the day. I also hoped that there were mats on the bathroom or at least slippers for the guests.

Pros: Didn’t partake in hotel breakfast. The bed was very comfortable
Cons: Nothing. I was delighted with my choice of botel

Pros: the location was good, i didn't eat breakfast. i liked the free water on my floor.
Cons: just overall atmosphere wasn't great. the shower wasn't my favorite.
7.7 Good
Pros: Great location, staff was pretty friendly. Nice having the Elephant & Castle attached for food and drinks, no problem bringing beverages from the bar back to the room.
Cons: The king bed we booked was very clearly 2 twin beds pushed together with a zippered-in gap filler that sort of worked. So it was wide but there was a dip in the middle and my feet were hanging off of the foot of the bed, I'm 5'9"... Some trash that wasn't ours under the bedside table when we arrived. As others have said the walls are very thin.

Pros: In room breakfast was fantastic. Hotel has a very sexy vibe
Cons: A small table for in room dining would have put it over the top. I really didn’t like the wire basket in the shower- my razor kept falling through. It seemed “low end” for W. I also feel like there should be at least a foot prop in the shower for women to shave their legs...it was awkward.
8.0 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: Hotel rooms are too dark! Hallways of hotel are WAY TOO DARK!!
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location and very friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Seems like a lot of cost cutting going on to save the hotel money. No fridge in the room (unless you request one). No tea or coffee making facilities. Although you can get these delivered it means extra cost having to tip every time someone brings you something. I’d rather just have it there and help myself.

Pros: It is a beautiful hotel and the location is very good.
Cons: The room was small.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: When I called for help with the Internet, I quickly received explicit instructions how to fix the problem. After I thanked them and hung up, I followed the directions and it worked immediately. 5 minutes later, the person who had helped me called me back to make sure I was able to solve the problem. That has NEVER happened to me in 40 years of travel. Extraordinary service that made a HUGE positive impression on me.
Cons: The electronic pad in the room which offered a lot of information about the hotel and the neighborhood did not work when I tried to use it....probably because the hotel’s systems had gone down a few hours before we checked in. It worked the following morning. The Check-in lines were very long, but moved fairly quickly and staff did a good job handling it. This was nobody’s fault.

Pros: I didn't realize that a "Standard Room" had only one full sized bed in it and that was a bit small. So I contacted the front desk and for a very nominal charge, they upgraded me to a king. Awesome, historic Hotel with great service!!!
Cons:

Pros:
Cons: Hotel location cannot be beat. The historic building is well maintained and the staff are truly world class. Smaller rooms, but that is to be expected given the age of the hotel.

Pros: We stay here every Thanksgiving. One of the highlights of each trip is Earnest and the rest of the buffet breakfast crew. It’s an excellent group of people, and Earnest is the model of exceptional customer service.

Pros: Location was wonderful
Cons: The room is small, doesn't have any view. The bed only have 2 pillows and the bed is queen no king an it´s supposed for two persons. The bathroom is too small, in the door theres a glass, so the privacy isn't enough in a small room for two. The shower is very uncomfortable and the water doesn't have pressure. The duvet was dark, its supposed to be white in a 4 stars hotel because it shows cleanliness, but wasn't the case. In conclusion I didn't liked the room.

Pros: The layout and room itself was ok. Location wasn't bad. The lobby was really nice. Plugs right by the bed was handy.
Cons: Our bathtub had peeling paint (horrible) and was very small. The bed wasn't comfortable. The end tables were too close to the beds. No room in the fridge for our own items. No bag for the ice. When I called in to confirm my pre-paid reservation, Hakeim answered, was quite rude and advised that he could not confirm my room, even though I had paid for it. He insisted I needed to be there by 3p in order to check in. I called at about 2:45pm to inform hotel that we would be arriving between 4-5p and if my room would be ready. He said he couldn't guarantee it and I needed to be there by check-in time, but I may be ok...ummmmm what the heck? When we arrived I didn't catch the name, but the guy who checked us in wasn't very friendly either. They seemed very busy as some event was going on. Overall for the chain, and price, I expected better. I stayed at a Courtyard the week prior and had a WAY better experience.

Cons: It would've been nice if breakfast was included. We considered paying extra for the breakfast, but at $30 for the full cooked breakfast, it was far too expensive. There are much better value places to get breakfast in the vicinity of the hotel.

Pros: Nice rooms and location
Cons: The valet would not park our SUV. They said they could not park trucks. Also, they said the lot was full on top of that. That was a surprise and became a whole situation. Luckily, I found a surface lot on the same block for way cheaper than vallet.

Cons: The staff was constantly yelling in the hallway and came to our room multiple times which woke us up. We weren't checking out until 1pm but they came at least 5 times before that.

Cons: So sad the staff at the counter was so unwelcoming. No smiles or good morning. Made me very surprised at a hotel in the US. Responsive room and the TV-control was missing.

Pros: Location
Cons: The front desk Staff was impolite Was not clear on the hotel amenities. I paid for the tax and hotel fees. Upon checking in the hotel I gave my cc for incidental After checking out I was charged $13.00 for amenities for the three nights. I was free .

Pros: Cannot beat this location for the price!!
Cons:
7.0 Good
Pros: Very good position to visit the city.
Cons: Room furniture and decoration is not nice as the lobby is and let you think. The carpet in my room was quite dirt and there were a lot of draughts from the windows (considering that external temperature was -12°C....).
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, price is the best around.I did not have a fee added to my reservation like some had mentioned. Excellent signal here using my hotspot. WiFi was not terrible either.
Cons: Two things that could be improved: there were a few pieces of trash (receipts) left by the table.(Easy to toss though..not worth the hassle to call somebody over in my opinion).Water bottles given out are not eco friendly at all.Filling stations for cups?

Pros: The room was nice
Cons: There was a homeless man yelling outside the hotel for more than 2 hours. I was on the 10th floor and this was happening from 10pm to 12am. The hotel staff told me that they didn't know what to do about it and suggested I call the police
