Book cheap flights to United States(Return)
Pros: The flight i booked has 2 segments, both by Air Asia. However, when i arrived in KL, i was forced to exit the terminal, having to go thru immigration/custom, end up paying 2 separate luggage fees, lots of hessle. Since i never received Air Asia booking#, i was not able to check in, etc.
Cons: I will avoid booking this way and for sure avoid booking Air Asia
Pros: Food, service,
Cons: Some crazy flight itinerary they should not sell at all! At first I thought layover was same location only to find out it was another airport across of time. Flew into ITM and flew out KIX and boarding ticket it says only OSAKA so I didnt know. I barely made the flight....if they had accommodate the transportation I would understand. But they tell you, you have to make it there on your own. Another CRAZY information is that I thought at the very least the baggage will be transferred. But nope! You have to pick up the baggage and ride the train across town to the other station. Whoever made this itinerary should be really fired and no longer work at this company. You take a great airline and make the experience so bad.
Pros: I particularly admire the free media entertainment options and quality of the meals served!
Cons: I was seated in the middle of the cabin, where it is rows of four seats, and the way the space under the seats in front of them were divided caused there to only be three separate and staggered places to put carry-on bags. With all four of us in my row needing to put bags under there, it was dicey.
Pros: The crew was nice, and there was sufficient overhead space for my bag.
Cons: I've flown hundreds of times, and this was the most most unpleasant flight I've ever taken. My seat didn't recline, the entertainment console was not working properly, and I had almost no legroom due to the design of the seat. The temperature was unbearably hot. And I didn't get my special meal.
Pros: I liked playing tetris and pacman with a controller that was like that of a console. My flight had a lot of empty seats, and I noticed they staggered the seating so that there was nobody in front of me or behind me. Flight crew was genuinely nice and helpful even though we didn't speak the same language. The little cup holder was actually pretty cool. There even seemed to be ample leg room compared to other Chinese international flights I've been on. I've flown previously with china southern and China eastern, so that is my basis for comparison.
Cons: They didn't give me boarding passes for both flights (had a long layover in china). Other airlines printed both at the start of trip. This added quite a bit of confusion for me, seemingly unnecessarily. Also, I'm a bit disappointed in their free hotel room deal for long layovers. When I had a long layover previously with either china southern or china easter (can't remember which one), I got my own free hotel room, a free meal, and a free ride to and from the hotel. That was a real perk for my 12 hour layover. The deal with xiaman is you get a free hotel room, but you have to share it with a stranger of the same gender, and you have to pay for taxi to and from the hotel. Although you do supposedly get a free meal, I chose not to take them up on the hotel offer. Instead I took them up on their transfers lounge. This is a dark, quiet room full of dingy, dirty padded chairs and people sprawled out and snoring. I would have stayed more than 15 minutes if there were more phone charging plugs, but instead I went and ate mcdonalds and found a plug in at the kfc. Aside from all that, I would suggest getting some better Hollywood movies to choose from, as xiamen's competition has them beat there as well, in my opinion.

We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.
We’re not the seller
At KAYAK we don’t set prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.
We aggregate tons of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we don't guarantee prices we find.
Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car hires can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find on occasion that certain prices are no longer available.
