Cons: I was not allowed on board due to absence of a transit visa for HongKong (I had few hours transit there before my next flight back to EU). I am allowed to stay up to 48h in HK airport for transit without any visa, I had to quickly find and purchase the flight ticket to HK with another airlines, with them it was no problem to fly to HK for transit. All other few flights with AirAsia were bad as well. We were refused to get water as a complimentary during a log flight from HK to Manila. Every flight was always delayed up to ~1 h.

Pros: Crew was really nice

Cons: There wer plenty of empty seats and the other people sitting in my row wanted to move to open seats but weren’t allowed because the seats apparently cost more money than our seats. I think that’s a bit stingy of the airlines because no one is sitting there. Why not allow people to be comfortable?

Excellent 9.0

Pros: A great flight with friendly staff, comfy seats, good food, and great inflight entertainment.

Cons: The international transfer process at Manila airport was the worst I’ve ever seen. They had about 20 people standing at a desk for about 90 minutes with no explanation as to what was going on. In that time, nobody was released to go to their gate, but they wouldn’t explain what was happening. There were about 10 airport staff standing there, mostly doing nothing. The process was inefficient, to say the least. There was no place to sit, no toilets, no order to any of it. In most international airports, after you deplane, you just walk to your next gate. There seemed to be no logical reason for that awful experience. It would have been much faster to go through customs and then go through security, walking directly to the gate.

HKG

Excellent 8.3

Pros: The crew went above and beyond the meet my needs. I requested the Cathay draft beer Betsy which wasn't loaded, unfortunately, but the crew managed to find one in economy.

Pros: This flight left nearly an hour late, which at 1 AM really hurts. The crew were ok, but the flight seemed understaffed, and our service in premium economy was pretty ordinary.

*
Prices are per person, are for e–tickets and include all taxes & fees in MYR.

We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.
