Cons: "Door closed ten minutes ahead of schedule yet had to wait on stand nearly half an hour to push back due to airport congestion. Arrived in HKG late at a remote stand and had to use stairs and be bussed to the terminal. I missed the last HKIA Express train to HK"
Pros: "Entertainment was good... boarding was good."
Cons: "Totally uncomfortable.... big guy had his legs almost on top of mine under the seat in front of me. He was so wide, his shoulders and arms were on top of my chest at some points of the journey. Bigger people should not be able to buy coach seats. They should have size and weight restrictions."
Pros: "Business class from Bangkok to San Francisco was good overall, especially for $1400 one way. Food was not very good for business class, was more in line with JAL, EVA, Korean or ANA econo class but again, for the price, no complaints. Great friendly service, quick boarding. Priority Pass didn't have a lounge in Manila but thankfully, Philippines Air had their own lounge with great food and drinks for 1st Class and Business class ticket holders. Plane from BKK to Manila was NICE and comfy, all latest technology with beautiful fully adjustable chairs that lay flat. Would fly with them again!"
Pros: "First let me say I am a big fan of Philippine airlines. The customer service is outstanding, I am always made to feel very comfortable and the movie selection is great. I would give them a 10/10...if it weren’t for the surprisingly below-average special meal selection....read on..."
Cons: "I have been a gluten-sensitive foodie for 7 years. I am not vegetarian. I still eat sugar, salt, spices, dairy, and fat. I have order a GF special meal for the past 3 or 4 trips I’ve flown but I always end up asking for one of the regular meals instead because the GF meals are SO awful. They are completely devoid of all salt, sauces, spices or any flavor, and are so bland that it’s like eating astronaut cardboard food. For example...the last flight I took (Manila-San Francisco), the regular meal options were a chicken sausage dish with some mashed potatoes and veggies, a wonderful colorful julienne vegetable salad, a flan pudding (GF by nature) and some bread with butter. The other option was a delicious smelling pork belly over rice (seriously some of the best pork belly I’ve ever had) and some veggies with the same sides. Everything was gluten-free except for the bread roll and looked much more colorful and fresher overall. By contrast, the GF “special” meal that I received was a plain chicken breast with no salt, steamed veggies that were overcooked and mushy to the point of colorless baby food, with no spices or sauces, a watered-down fruit salad, a rice cake with no butter and a banana instead of dessert. I was amazed at how bland and flavorless it was. Gluten-free does not mean sugar-free, low-fat, or dairy free. It simply means the absence of wheat flour. I still like sauces and spices. And I still like butter. A non-fruit dessert would have been nice. And since when does gluten-free mean flavor-free? I would have MUCH rather preferred the regular meal option with just a gluten-free rice cake substitute. Thank god they had extra regular meals for me to eat instead. Point being…if you’re not extreme celiac and just gluten-sensitive, I recommend ordering off the regular menu and just omitting the bread roll. The flavorless meal isn’t worth it!"
Pros: "Flight started out by being delayed. I thought we would be delayed at least one hour plus. Did a great job delay time was only 30 min. Then everything was seamless. Great job of getting us to our destination on time."
Cons: "They have seats with minimal cushioning that don’t recline and don’t have headrests. Sitting on that for an 8hr flight was a terrible experience."

You get what you pay for. It’s functional and gets you from point A to B in good comfort. However, food options are limited and cash only, Crew is a hit and miss .. they get your attention if you reach out.

Good leg room ... air conditioning was a bit warm don't Book row 8 ... no windows

They got to the terminal late, with no one on the arriving flight, boarded us late, and left us sitting there for 2 hours before they got us off the ground. They knew they were going to be late, yet they never got an updated flight plan from their head office until long after the flight was supposed to leave. They could have cut the delay in half, of at least let us stay in the terminal. Really just horrible planning.

The worst kind of budget airline. To be honest....the plane was not that bad. Would have been good to have some food choices and some water. What was by far the worse is the passengers/customers that this airline attracts. Coughing and spluttering all over one another with no masks. Just disgusting. Pay for a better carrier and get a better class of passenger.

Pros: "A nice experience overall. Flight was quiet so plenty of personal space."
Pros: "Everything went smoothly from check in to arrival. Bags were delivered timely. Flights were on time."
Cons: "No entertainment options. Little to no food service."
Pros: "Average flight"
Cons: "Changed the time of my flight early by more than 2 hours, with no communication. I therefore missed the flight. I was informed there was a flight that evening but they refused to move me as I had booked through an agent. Waited more than 6 hoursnin the airport for next flight and was offered only a meal voucher worth £4. Later flight was delayed, resulting in me missing my friends pre wedding henna party and arriving more than 8 hours late. Not a single apology given!"
Pros: "Except for a 1-hour delay, overall the flight was good, smooth and enjoyable. Loved the inflight meal. For the price we paid we got meal and 30kg baggage allowance, we thought that was just value for money. And they departed from KLIA and not klia2 which is more convenient."
Cons: "Flight wasn't on time to and from HKG."
Pros: "Crews are nice."
Cons: "Seems like Malindo is starting to degrading the service quality. The flight I took before: they change the airplane to batik which was worse with no entertainment, smaller seat pitch, etc. I book Malindo for a reason and paid for what expected using Malindo!! If they had to change the plane they should've given better one or given back compensation to passengers! Now this flight, they didn't activate the entertainment till way later and turned off way too early. They didn't give any earphone as supposed to. Malindo's service has become bad."
Pros: "For the price that we paid, it included 30kg baggage and refreshment (orange juice, water, coffee, a slice of pizza and a muffin) - it was worth it. The legroom is spacious, the seat was comfortable and the cabin crew was awesome. Flight was on time, check in was acceptable (considering people travelling from Bandung has a lot of check in baggage due to shopping)."
Cons: "Nothing."
Cons: "MH hospitality has gone down. Those days they were the best of the best. Now, there is hardly any hospitality at all. Very disappointing."
Cons: "Avoid Malaysian airlines and avoid KUL airport. What a mess of a company ..."
Cons: "lost my luggage. after they found it, they took a week to deliver. no response to my claim for compensation"
Cons: "Custom check line 200 meters long, security check line another 120 meter long, why not combine them together and open two machine in parallel"
Pros: "Friendly staff"
Cons: "Security check at gate without priority Bagage Delivery business class"
Pros: "crew provided attentive and excellent service. Good food and beverage."
Cons: "cabin, seats and table cleanliness need to be improved. decline angle of seat and foot rest angle so limit."
Pros: "Amazing plane, latest technology, great customer service, clean bathrooms at all time. It was a 5 star experience, friendly hostess’s and friendly & helpful staff"
Cons: "The pre boarding security was a mess and poorly managed in Kuala Lumpur."
Cons: "Similarly delayed departure and arrived at HongKong over 11/2 hour later- poor service!"
Cons: "Seat back didn’t stay upright so it was uncomfortable when I wasn’t trying to sleep."
Pros: "No and No! Seat was cramped. Crew was ok"
Cons: "If they weren’t always on the PA. I was trying to read and someone was always talking"
Pros: "quick boarding, flight duration and scheduled arrival Attracting fares since it’s a budget airline."
Cons: "The seats didn’t even have a recliner."
Pros: "Cheap"
Cons: "Uncomfortable Won't give you a blanket or cup of eatery without making you pay Delayed"
Pros: "Staff were very helpful and friendly. Even let me off some money for a drink"
Cons: "Checking in took way longer than needed"
Pros: "Flight was good. Left a little late still arrived on time. I was traveling with one extra bag. 18 kilos. Cost at counter was $150.00. (Ouch) Anyway after paying the extra bag fee I went there office in the airport and purchased the same extra bag for my return flight for $28.00. Nice flight but make sure you purchase ample baggage when booking your flight."
Pros: "Airport crew was friendly and provided umbrellas to everyone as they boarded plane. Managed brief rain-related departure delay well. Nice in flight travel magazine."
Cons: "Bag fees were high. I misunderstood when booking as website said on bag (meaning "cabin bag"/"carry on"), so not only did I have to pay the standard luggage cost for my one check in bag but also a same-day late fee, making it twice as expensive."
Pros: "Assistance in check in"
Cons: "After early boarding still wait like 30 min plus seating in plane"
Cons: "In flight food is available for cash in Malasian ringgit only, which makes it unavailable for those international passengers leaving Malaysia who get rid of local currency on their way out of country"
Pros: "Check in, boarding was easy, staff were friendly, flight was uneventful"
Cons: "The short space between seats. Hard to get comfortable without room for knees. Have to pay extra for an aisle even if some are empty. Crew doesn't care."
