The passenger beside me was overweight and he spilled into my seat partially. All of this did not make for a comfortable flight but thankfully it wasn't too long."

The water had even been okayed by the Hongkong airport 1st security point after we landed in HKG from Delhi. But the there was additional checking of handluggage again just before boarding and they threw away my Son's water. This is unacceptable. Also the food was not up to quality. I got practically the same food in both meals."

Pros: "After being unexpectedly upgraded to premium economy at the gate, I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the seats were even more comfortable than I would have expected for this section. The reclining pitch was excellent - even for the people sitting behind. There is a hassock-like panel to elevate one's legs about 45 degrees. Almonds instead of peanuts, a menu option with a main of a nice piece of steak (that could be cut with an airline knife!), amenity kit... Very happy passenger."

If PAL didn’t have the only direct flight from Manila to LAX, I would avoid the airline altogether for long international flights."

Fortunately our flight wasn't cancelled, but we missed not one but TWO connecting flights because it was so late. Also, MNL is a terrible airport. What is the logic in needing to pass through THREE sets of metal detectors and x-ray machines before boarding?"

Pros: "I was in a window seat for this flight with no one in between me and the man in the aisle. It was nice to have some space to spread out in."
Cons: "I am about 6 feet tall and the leg room was terrible. I was thankful that the person in front of me did not recline, other side their head would have been in my face."

Pros: "I observed that the crew were doing there very best to help with the passengers and their concerns. I also saw that they were on top with regards to cleanliness especially the lavatories. I also like how they treat each and everyone with respect especially the older people that we are with."
Cons: "PAL - Plane Always Late! it seems that this meaning to the acronym sticks really good with our flag carrier. I was observing and trying to get some information on what is happening or reason for our delayed flight but to no avail. The captain's explanation makes no sense. With a 3 hour delay, I knew and felt that It would not be a great ride because right from the very start it already started wrong. I was already stressed out from the very beginning even though i saw in the cabin crew's effort and super great service towards especially to our older passengers their dedication and passion to serve. I was really looking forward to this flight but I guess this was one of those days that all you could do is close your eyes and stretch your patience. One other bad experience was getting on Terminal 1. Great improvement but it could be still better. Can't connect to Wifi (its asking me my number on the US when I did not sign up for roaming and for sure will not be able to get the code that they will send on my number) Last year was better, just log on and boom! Impressively lightning wifi speed connection. No questions or log ins and you can safely assure and text your relatives waiting patiently outside that you are there waiting. I just wished we went to Terminal 2 instead. But I guessed it will also be the same because everything started on a bad start with that 3hour delay. They were lucky most of the passengers were excited to be home and sleeping!"

Cons: "Literally every time I fly PAL there is some issue with delay. After boarding we stat on the plan for over an hour before we took off waiting for some other passengers. Also I was at the airport early and wanted to get on earlier flight they wanted to charge me $300 to get on a flight with many extra empty seats."

Cons: "More often than not, Philippine Airlines has been our airline of choice because we found their rates to be fair and flights direct and easy. Despite the fact that the PAL terminal was pretty poor, and the food on board was never really decent, we remained loyal to PAL for quite a few years. On our way back to Melbourne from Manila on June 17, Saturday, Colin, Hendrix and I were awaiting boarding at gate 10 for flight PR 209. Having flown with PAL from Melbourne to Manila (as well as with another airline from Manila to Manchester and back), we understood that the usual procedure was to allow passengers with infants to board first. Due to the lack of order (there were no clear queues in sight), Colin decided to ask 3 different PAL personnel if there was, indeed, a priority queue for people travelling with infants. ALL THREE PERSONNEL ASSURED US THAT THEY WERE NOT YET BOARDING AND THAT WE WOULD BE CALLED UPON PRIOR TO THEM LETTING ANYONE ELSE ON THE PLANE. 2 minutes later, a PAL personnel appears with signage that reads certain row numbers and begins to call out to ALL PASSENGERS FOR BOARDING. Colin swiftly rushes to the front (me and baby in tow) and demands an explanation as to why we were told one thing but are watching them act upon something completely different. I wish I was joking when I tell you that the personnel just stared blankly at us and then carried on checking boarding passes. No apologies, no explanation offered. As soon as we boarded, Colin turned to the first flight steward he saw and asked for a complaint form and told this could ONLY be done online, to which Colin requested we be given the email/web address upon take off. The seats assigned to us were on the right most side of the aircraft, a window and a middle seat. As Colin was placing our bags in the overhead compartment, the steward called to Colin from across the aisle (past the 3 seats in the middle of the plane) to introduce the purser, Jolly Bello. Please note this was happening while people were also trying to get past and get to their seats -and Mr. bello called out across the aisle, "I heard you have a complaint??" to which Colin, baffled, replied "yes do you want to come over here so we aren’t shouting over these people?". Colin yet again told this purser what the complaint was about and was asked (verbatim) "so would you like to make a complaint against THEM?" Would the correct protocol not be to 1. Apologise for any confusion, miscommunication or poor service, 2. Take some responsibility and acknowledge the complaint and 3. Maybe come approach us AFTER TAKE OFF and not while everyone is trying to board the plane? We are no longer choosing Philippine Airlines."

Cons: "Check in at Kuala was a chaos. The agents were at a lost not knowing how to handle the family in front of me. It took them more than 30 minutes to handle just one family. I think there must be something wrong with the booking system. It took me 45 minutes to complete my check in."

Cons: "They make it hard to upgrade your seat in route. No on board entertainment."

Cons: "Connecting flight was delayed 1.5 hours which became 2.5 hours without notice. Had to run through airport to catch flight back to LAX which almost did not happen. Luggage did not make it despite prior assurances. Luggage was finally delivered more than 24 hours later. Employees were without information and only apologetic after much protest. No compensation offered. Writing formal complaint."

I chose the beef option — a small lump of "beef" that was overcooked and under sauced, accompanied by a sad pied of steamed broccoli and a disproportionately large portion of white rice. The quinoa salad was passable, but the "peach cobbler" dessert course was a flavorless mass of gelatinous goo."

Cons: "Crew was rude. I paid for an emergency exit seat, only to find out the manager at the check-in counter gave me a seat with hardly (if any) extra leg room. I moved to the back of the plane where there were 6 open emergency exit seats with no one in front of them. I sat down and was immediately told you had to pay for these seats. I explained the situation and they ended up having me get my receipt to prove I had paid. Overall bad experience."

Cons: "I sit in 2K of A350-900. Though it is known as a throne seat, there is an error on the installation of this seat. The foot rest that comes up and supposedly joined with the ottoman to make up the flat bed is too long so this seat never can actually go to full 180 degree mode."

I arrived back in Denpasar yesterday and, again, my bags are lost and I again I was told they would be on the next flight. I still do not have my bag. Seems to be a pattern with Malaysian Airways and I will avoid them in the future, Also, I left my Ipad plugged in at the Premier Lounge in Denpasar and realized it as I was boarding the plane. The Malaysian Air boarding staff got on radios and appeared to try to help by telling them to put aside for pick up upon my return. Yesterday, The Premiere lounge said they did not have it despite my name, email and phone number being written on the Ipad. Between Malaysian Air and the Lounge and their lack of concern and professionalism it was not a good trip. As One World Emerald member, I steer a lot of business towards these One World Airlines. I expect better treatment."

By the time we arrived in Singapore, it is almost 0340. Collected the luggages, clear custom and arrived home is almost 0500. There was absolutely no refreshment provided in between, and have to switch between gates which are far apart."

We received the luggage after losing almost one day eating into our holiday. Minor compensation was given but the inconvenience was far more! Cons: "The boarding process was chaotic at best. The gate had long lines to go through security for 2 flights departing from that area which caused big delays. The plane managed to be loaded relatively on time but removing baggage from a customer who chose not to fly took almost an hour as compared to the 10 minute estimate. By the time we taxied, I was certain that I was in danger of missing my Hong Kong connection and asked the flight attendant to have the pilot radio American to inform them, I got the impression that my request was a low priority for the disinterested crew and, as feared, I missed my connection which forced a daylong wait in Hong Kong. The plane was a 737-800. Malaysia, unlike it's peers, flies mostly narrow bodies inter Asia as they disposed of all their 777's after the second 777 was shot down. I lived in Malaysia and Singapore for eight years in the late '80's and early '90's, at which time I thought that Malaysian was the best airline in the sky. Sadly, their present service is US airline quality at best without the general ability of US carriers to keep to schedule which makes them one of the worst in Asia."

Cons: "Dated planes, inadequate recline and seat pitch. Economy on MH 737s is POOR, with no recline seats. Pay the extra money and fly business, with MHUpgrade. A 50% bid usually will win you an upgrade"
