location crazy crowded lobby!!!!
The location. the phone at the room did not work properly
The best concierges! Very bad breakfasts. A small choice, tastelessly, the high prices.
The hotel is amazing, it was renovated recently and worth the price to stay at this historic hotel at least one time in your life! Also, location is excellent.
Location is great. Staff were all curteous and prompt. Room size was good and everything was clean and new. Breakfast at Palm Court was good. Will stay again. N/A
Service was terrible, our flight got delayed, we called to tel them know, when we got there they had charged us for the first night and they didnt have a room for us!!!! On top of the night manager on our last night was really rude... I will go to the St Regis next time...
Ambience and history. The Hotel's position is fantastic and the staff were a pleasure to engage. No.
Courteous and professional staff. Very nice restoration of this NY landmark. There were no mirrors in the room. Only the one in the bathroom vanity.Maybe they are still finishing the decoration details.
everything is superb... from the location, the room , the food, the service no complain at all.
Everything was great about the Plaza! The hotel staff was so nice. They were always asking us how we were doing and if we needed anything. Our room was amazing! Very luxurious! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The mini bar was filled with all kinds of drinks and snacks. I think our favorite part was the bathroom. The walk in shower with the huge shower head was ginormous! The tub was rather large too! Everything was very very clean. It felt like it was brand new and we were the first people to stay in it! The hotel location was great also. Central Park and a subway station is right across the street so it was quite easy going to and from the Yankees games. We will definitely stay at the Plaza again!
Luxurious hotel and rooms.
Ubicacion Todavia algunas partes en remodelacion
The location is amazing and the staff generally helpful. Rooms need some updating as do the bathrooms, but overall the hotel is good value by NYC standards.
The staff was very accommodating. My son had to rehearse for a concert he was playing in and the Manager allowed him to use a Ball Room that was not in use. We greatly appreciated that. Also, the evening reception was very nice. The bathroom could be cleaner. There were chipped tiles and the faucet was lose.
The location of the hotel is perfect, On the edge of Central Park minutes from 5th avenue shopping. There are some restaurants nearby too. If you are interested in doing something touristy the horse and carriage rides are right outside. Where to begin. I was only there for one night and it was extremely expensive. On top of that they charged me a $35.00 "facilities fee" which was for WiFi, cocktail happy hour, and other amenities. I used the WiFi which worked fine but the cocktail happy hour was a disaster, very disorganized and the staff wasn't super pleasant. I wish I had the choice of adding on these extras. Also, upon check-in the key machine was not working so I was not authorized a room key. Each time I needed to go into my room I had to ask someone; one time I was waiting in the hallway for 30 minutes until someone showed up. It could've been a better experience.
The staff was friendly and the location was great. The guest services were pretty quick: We had issues with the first room and were quickly moved upon request. One of our charge ports stopped working and it was quickly replaced. Lamp shades were dusty and were quickly cleaned upon request. The rooms are really outdated and truly need to be updated, ESPECIALLY the bathrooms. We had to request a move from the first room due to the tub leaking. The sinks and tubs are chipped and the tubs don't drain well (both rooms). The lamps were dusty and some were broken. The hallways are a bit dark and carpet looks dingy. There is a mandatory facility fee that includes calls, wifi, etc...that is overpriced and totally not worth it.
Location is good. The front desk people are not friendly. They hit me with a "Facility Fee" of $30.00 puls tax (daily) no prior explanation from the front desk ( as to what Facility had I used) when I checked out. Poor communication with guests. Luckily I did ask them to waive this charge. They should explain to me on Facilities Fee when I check in!. Poor customer service! Would I come back to this hotel? You guess!
Location was perfect! They have a house car that can take you to the airport or pick you up. We had a king room that was beautifully decorated and so spacious. Would definitely stay here again. There were a couple of spots that were stained on the shower curtain and on the down comforter. However, I never felt that these things weren't clean there were just some spots. The knobs on the shower were backwards and the facet was slanted so it was sometimes difficult to turn the shower off. This doesn't take away from the fact that the shower felt absolutely amazing!
They ignored my original reservation of a King executive suite and put me in a double room. This room had gum on the floor, the bathroom looked dirty, the carpet was disgusting and discolored, overall it needed to be updated. I complained and they ignored my reservation, again, and put me in another double room. This room was slightly updated, but still not what I paid for! After returning a third time, they finally gave me the King room I paid for, but it was almost as disgusting as the first room. Luckily, I had business meetings and was not in my room very much, but it made the end of a long day very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!
They hit me with a $30 dollars plus tax facility fee which is ridiculous why should we pay facility valet parking is ridiculous expensive , they hotel needs to be updated the style is from the late 90's we should get more for what we paid for
The room was overlooking Central Park and very enjoyable. My Grandaughter(10) and I were so impressed by the hotel service. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. Best NY trip ever! Central to everything You see and hear everything in NY. Its a life experience !
Large Thermostat didn't work so tbe temperature was 80 degrees all day. Couldn't call front desk BC phone didn't work. Old towels were in room
The bed was certainly comfortable. Probably the best part of the room. A coffee maker would be nice to have.
Great location, fabulous staff, good amenities. Old beds, lumpy pillows, dated decor.
The location of the Hotel. Very close to the shopping area and to Central park.
great location very expensive food
The Library is a gem.....Outstanding food, service and ambiance
It is a small elegant hotel. The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed. We loved the hotel, but returned to find our room had not been made up all day. They got someone right up to us, but I was surprised by that.
Very clean. Pretty decor. Friendly staff. Willing to meet needs when asked.
The locationa and staff is great. The Hotel rooms are shabby
Friendly staff and traditional hotel
the location is great- staff helpful
Good location near main atractions Yes, bad attention, lack of amenities.
Great location. Fantastic bed. restaurant/café staff not very effective, engaging or helpful. however the remainder of the employees at the hotel were excellent.
the hotel was very centally located i did not like the way we were receives at the reception desk.the person that receiveved us was very to the point and did very little effort to try to accomidate us.
as this was christmas the hotel lookes lovely the staff were very helpful and the location was good fot central park area
wonderful staff and excellent service, good room service recipes, amazing manager at check in, absolutely incredible and wonderfully welcoming customer service room was incredibly dated and due for a remodel years ago, minimal in furniture, old and worn mattress , sheets incredibly thin with very used and uncomfortable bedding, carpet is dusty from years and years of use, furniture was so old, minimal, totally uncomfortable, bathroom lighting incredibly poor, light fixtures giving off minimal light, lack of art or general in room FF&E comfort expected at a 5 star property
Large and renovated bathroom Bedroom small
Location, staff, security and quiet elegance. Beds were also extremely comfortable. Cleanliness of rooms was noticeably good. Hotel is very quiet at night. You will get a good night's sleep. They need an easy coffee shop with coffee and breakfast breads/toast available on the go at a reasonable price. Coffee service in lobby should remain open longer.
Luxurious hotel with superb location! The staff are caring, friendly & very helpful with restaurant recommendations or any other needs! The superior rooms are on the smaller side as compared to other luxury hotels in the same price range
Warm and friendly atmosphere
I love Indian food and since the Pierre is a member of the Taj Group, they have several traditional Indian cuisine items on the menu, even for breakfast. Plus, their Indian food is delicious!
Location Old fashion very loud poor AC system
The suite was beautiful and nicely appointed. Room was upgraded to suite due to my anniversary. They sent gratis champagne and cake which was waiting for us after dinner. We were on 4th floor and room was next to heating/AC machines. So long as you didn't look out the window, it was lovely. (I recognize I didn't pay for park view but street view but did end up with the single worst view room in the place.)
The windows in the room were frosted. No view, not even of the air shaft. The room was discounted and the advertisement said, 'Courtyard View', so expectations were low. But FROSTED WINDOWS at the PIERRE.....WTF. If I were the Pierre I would be embarrassed to sell that room. Save it as a spare, use it to comp. someone when you are sold out, but don't advertise it as a Courtyard View when rooms at Rikers' Island have a better view of a courtyard than cell block 412, at the Pierre. I cannot believe the Pierre needs my $500/night and would stoop to selling this room, which is so below their supposed standards. Get rid of the elevator escorts and you won't have to mislead people into an unsatisfying purchase. No more Taj, Pierre for this vacationer. The Essex House has worked fine in the past and will again in the future. HUGE disappointment.
great location and view on Central park
Staff were incredibly courteous, friendly and helpful. Club level facilities and food were excellent. Surprized considering the price that the room was a bit small
Faultless service, excellent attention to detail, great location some problems with check-in, room was not ready
The best things about the Ritz Carlton Central Park are its Club Lounge area and Spa. Especially good is the ladies lounge where frest fruit, beverages and La Prarie products are provided at no extra cost. The hotel is expensive but worth every cent.
location room comfort breakfest , no restaurant for dinner , staff has charge double my card
Everything - and especially Norman the Bartender - a great person. None.
The service at this hotel is the best we ever had.
This hotel is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The Ritz Carlton staff could not do enough for you. The place is luxurious and no request is too small. The staff are very courteous and even though the Hotel is geared more towards adults and business travellers, the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming to my two children. Who also thought this hotel "rocked"!!
Very dedicated hard working staff from the front door men to the cleaning people. Exceptional service, wonderful amenities, excellent location, close to everything. Nothing.
The attentiveness of the staff and the location. The bed was a little uncomfortable.
Everyone was extremely helpful and the rooms were large and clean. The hotel is located on a side street, close to shopping but quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel. The prices in the hotel restaurant were extremely high. A cup of coffee was $10 and yogurt with granola and berries was $27. It was very good but this wasn't room service but actually in the restaurant.
The property is vintage upper East Side in design and service. The property appeared to be maintained extremely well and the staff was always attentive. The rooms were immaculate and very well maintained. The location is walking distance from both upper East side boutiques and restaurants as well as from midtown shopping, museums and people watching. Subway access is also very convenient. I would recommended this hotel to anyone looking for an old world luxury experience in the heart of vintage New York. I would also return without hesitation. No complains on this visit
Friendly and helpful staff, great location and comfortable rooms
small hotel and very close to Central Park. service was impeccable no
have not heard any "no, it is not possible" no
good personal service and good location my deluxe room which is more expensive than their standard and superior rooms already was very small for the price i paid even in nyc. also tiny closet space and drawer space.
The location was great!
The hotel staff was - without any exception - very committed and excellently prepared to facilitate all guest needs immediately Concierge recommended a restaurant (the water's edge) to follow the 4th of July fireworks, but from there one could not see even one rocket. A lot of money wasted for nothing.
Nice facilities and great location Hotel staff could be more helpful
The upper east side hotel is steps away from coffee shops and boutiques, restaurants are a 20 minute walk away or 5 minutes in a cab. The standard is high, rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are friendly, helpful and have exceptional manners compared to other hotels that I've stayed in. The best thing about this hotel was the European influence. I didn't like that a simple standard coffee cost $6, which really should've been free in the morning given the price (albeit worth it) of the hotel stay. Two cocktails should not have cost $46, especially when prosecco was used instead of champagne.
Spacious and well-equipped, comfortable appartmens, excellent location, concept, friendly and helpful staff, free access the Internet, attractive design,
We have nothing but complements for the hotel. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, without exception, the location ideal and the quality of rooms first class.
Me and my family loved the days that we spent in Aka Central Park... The staff is great... The location is wonderful... We felt like home... No
Good location, clean comfortable rooms bathroom too small for double rooms

The location is awesome. The room was great also. Nice bed, shower. Free internet with good speedy. For 7 days or less has a housekeeping for free.
convinient noise level from the street and ventilation
great place great staff convienient to NEW YORK
Location, Cleanliness, confort
A superb, class-act, old world hotel. The real thing. Can't wait to stay again. No.
Location, size and service
easily accesible and friendly staff no lounge. A hotel of this nature should have a lounge
The location of the hotel is just wonderful - could not be better. The lobby and doormen were very friendly and got to know us during the week we stayed. Our room was beautiful but had no view whatsoever - it looked into a lightwell. My wife and I felt that the front desk staff let the place down. We were promised an upgrade to a room with a view from one receptionist and told to come back at 4pm on our 2nd day to move. After coming from lower Manhattan to make the promised move the receptionist had a change of heart and told us no other rooms were available - although we knew that there were. Front desk staff were the only disappointment during our stay.
Professional staff. Huge room for nyc. Complimentary products in refrigerator (water, sodas) Nothing.
Everything was first class! No negatives!
The staff was incredibly thoughtful, and the room outstanding. Not a thing - excellent experience all round
the old world ambiance and the courtesy and professionalism of the staff.
Staff were very friendly; rooms were cozy and comfortable and quiet. It's quite lovely but a bit staid for my taste. Location though is fantastic
