Pros: This was a wonderful stay to end our 23 days in Spain (we spent 14 on the Camino!) The hotel is only a few blocks away from the Metro station (Barrio de la Conception) in a mostly residential neighborhood (downside is not very many restaurants nearby; a nice little bakery/cafe/wine bar is only a block away though!) The customer service of the hotel staff from reception to housekeeping were all excellent: competent, friendly, professional, knowledgeable. They had a lovely lounge area that was stocked with complementary cold drinks (beer & hard liquor were extra), coffee, teas, pastries, light snacks (think a nice minimart), fresh fruit, etc. The room was spacious & clean, with modern décor. The only area I didn't give 5 stars was the location: the view from our 2nd floor window was to a sort of enclosed back corridor of the hotel itself, and also, I would have like there to be a little more entertainment in the neighborhood. Every other aspect of our stay here was exceptional.

Pros: This was a wonderful stay to end our 23 days in Spain (we spent 14 on the Camino!) All very friendly and super helpful, including making phone calls for me to address issues with my rental car and event tickets that were supposed to be delivered to the hotel but never arrived. The hotel is within a five minute walk to a Metro Station and that line goes straight to some of the most popular areas of Madrid. I was able to find free and safe street parking next to the hotel each night of my stay. The breakfast buffet had a nice variety of hot and cold food which was all enjoyable. Four elevators meant quick access to and from my room.

Cons: The hotel itself isn't in great conditions. It feels like they kind of remodeled but not really. Bathrooms feel very small and uncomfortable, showers are very slippery and don't have curtains so everything in the bathroom gets wet when you shower.

Cons: Room was very small for more than one person. Light in the bathroom is motion control and turns off very soon. The bathroom seems like a closet. The water for the shower would go from set temperature to very cold and scalding hot every few seconds. Such an unpleasant showering experience. There's a light on the ceiling that kept blinking that made it hard to sleep. Light for the TV time was too bright, also disrupting sleep. Roads to the hotel are tight and crowded.

Pros: Breakfast was good. Front desk attendants all really friendly.
Cons: One of the kitchen guys was rude. I wanted to bring coffee to room I swear if he could have tackled me he would have and then said I would be charged for 4 coffees. Not having coffee available in the rooms is hard for me but then to get confronted like that it was uncalled for in my mind. Also would have been nice if desk attendants knew things like average cost of taxi from airport when I called I was told 100 Euro when actually it was more like 25 and on way in we took metro and bus toting tons of luggage because of cost when had we know it was closer to 25 we would have been to hotel at least 2 hours earlier. Location was not the most convenient not a lot of good restaurants close by and the Irish place was terrible.

Cons: A lot of noise and the walls were too thin. We could hear everything, even if the noise came from 3 rooms away or from another floor. The view was not what I expected to be. If I opened the curtains the neighbors could see inside.

Cons: The hotel lobby looks tired, the elevators behave erratically. The parking is underground, the old style, I managed but... The issue of the room were the walls. We could hear all the activities of our neighbours. And they were active.

Cons: We didn't had any iron and refrigerator and deep-freeze. In the elevator, there were no pleasant soothing music - but quiet. It was a bit far from museums and famous buildings.
