Nice clean plane and efficient staff

We Pre ordered (and paid for) meals when we booked our tickets, having flown Air Asia before we knew what was good and what wasn't. Somehow our orders were lost and we got the 'default' meal on all flights which was sweet and sour chicken meatballs which was almost as awful as it sounds. We heard the same thing happen to the lady in the seat behind us. Staff pretty much ignored our complaint. There's also a weird process with check in where you get processed into a small lounge Pre flight with no food or shops, there doesn't appear to be a reason for this other than making you sit somewhere cramped and uncomfortable for an hour before your 9 hour flight.

The food (which you buy) is good and there is quite a lot on offer. Staff are very nice. But quite slow.

Small seats- little room. No direct air conditioning. No entertainment unless pre-booked. Would be good if you could buy on flight.

Flight was on time

Lack of food online, wasn't made clear when booking that had to pay for a meal. Had to pay 10,000 nepalese ruppes just to get 2 of our small bags on. 15kg in total. That's around £80, very expensive. Tried as much as I could to pay online for baggage but was going around in circles. Felt that for the price of the flight paying and extra £80 for 2 small bags was alot of money.

I was able to travel from one place to another.

1. I received one email from AirAsia giving me a confirmation number to my flight. Little did I know that I was supposed to receive a second email with booking number. Therefore, when I got to the Pudong airport, I just didn't have a ticket. I was passed from one person to another without explanation what was going on. Then the person who finally helped me was incredibly rude and even told me to "not say anything" to him when I voiced my complaint. I wasn't allowed to pay by card only cash. 2. The flight was delayed by over an hour and I wasn't allowed to use the toilet for over an hour. 3. The crew were unfriendly and unprofessional. We were waiting to take off for so long I had finished all my water and when they finally came around to give us water, IN THE MIDDLE OF GIVING ME MY WATER the steward decided to chat with another stewardess for a minute. That was the last straw. It was the worst possible flight on top of it being red eye. SO incredibly unprofessional. It's like they purposefully want you to feel bad for choosing a budget airline. And it's not even that budget. I am never going to fly with this airline again.

This was my 2nd trip with Dragon Air & they did not disappoint once again. After a 15+ hour delayed flight from the U.S. & paying ground crew to shuttle me through the Beijing airport, Dragon Air crew welcomed me on board with their arms open like a mother seeing her child again after a long time away. Once finally on board, I knew I was in good hands again. They are always courteous & professional. As was the 1st time flying with them, I was escorted to my seat & assisted with my carry-on bags, in economy no less.

It would be nice if there was at least some music available in passenger seats, if not a complete entertainment system. But it's just a consequence of the plane assigned to the route. No fault of the crew by any stretch. I only wish I could fly Dragon Air everywhere I travel. ;-)

The manager at the ticket office harassed my friend about his VISA- wasted 2 hours of our time saying his visa was not valid when it was. Then she finally gave him a boarding pass. As we hit the gate, she chased us down to yet again, say he couldn't board because of the same reason. She told him when he got back to Hyderabad that he would be charged as a criminal & be held in a cell all alone without a way to commicate to others. It was absolutely absurd!! We made it back to Hyderabad and like we knew the whole time, his VISA was fine.

The flight was cheap and the plane itself (B787) is a new plane and the lower pressurised altitude is very nice.

I didn't like being told off by one of the flght attendants for eating my own food on the flight. If Scoot's food was more reasonably priced I would buy it, but it is overpriced and therefore I need to bring my own. The seats are uncomfortable for sleeping in. The cabin temperature was a bit cold and with no blanket supplied this made it hard to sleep. Even though you are flying between two tropical destinations, I would recommend bringing a jumper.

A mediocre flight is better than an awful one? At least we *had* an entertainment unit. And there was a USB outlet so phones/ipads could remain charged throughout the flight.

Mine was a cramped experience in an old airplane, sadly normal for the industry. Food was bad. Entertainment unit was one of those press-the-screen-and-maybe-10-seconds-later-it'll-react types. Crew wasn't very communicative about what each cart rolling down the isle was for. Not a terrible experience, just not particularly good.

I love the fact that the program that launches the flight were pretty new, but the fact is; everything run like a well oiled machine. From customer service to departure everything went smoothly. Since the flight was brand new not a lot of people knew about they're great deal. I bought a one way ticket to xiamen because I will be working a school teacher. I didn't realized til later on that it's possible for someone with a z visa to receive an extra 23kg check in baggage for free. I contacted the customer service who replied within a day and everything was fixed. Now, I've been travelling a good amount to China and US, so far the food that are good is xiamen airlines. It's healthy, not greasy, and my stomach didn't hurt.

For now ? Nothing. It's my first time riding this airline and I would definitely pick this than China southern or eastern airlines. I have been disappointed with them too many times.... food suck, cramped leg space, and an overabundance of delayed and cancelled flights. Need improvement: it would be nice if the flight attendant don't assume every Asian is Chinese. Over and over the flight attendants would suggest food options, snacks, and drinks in chinese. I understand this won't be the first nor would it be the last that someone would mistaken me as a native Chinese speaker. Overall, the whole experience was amazing!

Crew and staff are professional and worked well together, fairly efficient

Upon landing, there was a problem with airport customs and immigration which prevented the passengers from leaving the plane. Crew needs to be more proactive with (1) passengers getting up too early and blocking the aisle out of turn. An elder woman was trying to get her bags and exit her row and passengers from behind were not letting her collect and exit. I stopped the rude people from the back who were getting off out of turn. Instructions need to be issued, let people get off the plane in orderly fashion. and (2) crew did not inform passengers what was happening with immigration and customs holdings things up until I hit the service button a few times. Tell the passengers what is going on rather than allow tempers to heat up

International carriers kick butt on US domestic carriers. As a A+ SWA traveler, I know my 787s like the back of my hand. Xiamen had a Business class section (small & unfortunately: untested by me). Economy was as expected but imagine getting a Bao (chicken) & packaged fruit, pastries, pickled cucumbers. Hey, beats a pack of peanuts. You could also get a white or red wine (didn't try them) - all for the price of admission. Take that UA, Delta, & AA! Why can't foreign carriers bring their game to the US routes and really give some competition!

No entertainment (there was some fold down screens playing some ads) but the volume was so low that nobody paid any attention to it. At least someone can read a sentence in English (and there were pre-recorded anouncements).

I saw a price on Kayak app on my Iphone. I chose the Kayak price, no other 3rd party. Kayak re-directed me to Flight Network. Purchase the tickets, filled out credit card and all. Got a ticket purchase confirmation. Went to bed to wake up early in the morning to get early flight. Get to the airport, I learned from the airline the tickets were never issued. Called flight network and they tell me the tickets have been canceled because they were not able to secure the advertised price. This is misrepresentation and screwed up my whole trip. If a booking is done, the 3rd party should honor what they sale, even if they mess up. Moreover so that I choose the purchase on kayak option. Will never do it again, lesson learned. Will purchase elsewhere.

No entertainment 11 hours KL to Auckland and no movies!! Should have made up time leaving Coolangatta and still able to land on time in Auckland - people missed connections. Not good enough when they had power to go a little faster but they would rather inconvenience a number of people than spend a little more on fuel to make up time .

The price! Efficient and friendly service. If you don't need to be fed every 4 hours, don't need onboard entertainment and can handle the slightly less legroom than standard carriers then AirAsiaX is highly recommended

You get what you pay for, or in the case of budget carriers you don't get what you don't pay for. AirAsiaX is no frills but that said it is efficient and gets you where you want to go for the lowest prices around. The meal you receive with the 'bag upgrade' pack is ok but nothing special.

Check-in crew was extremely slow and clueless about what thet were doing. Little to no sense of urgency at all, made a few mistakes, many customers had to come back and get them fixed. One man was on the verge of tears because he was about to miss his flight. The employee even asked me for my visa for my arrival in Kuala Lumpur, for which none was required. We Pre ordered (and paid for) meals when we booked our tickets, having flown Air Asia before we knew what was good and what wasn't. Somehow our orders were lost and we got the 'default' meal on all flights which was sweet and sour chicken meatballs which was almost as awful as it sounds. We heard the same thing happen to the lady in the seat behind us. Staff pretty much ignored our complaint. There's also a weird process with check in where you get processed into a small lounge Pre flight with no food or shops, there doesn't appear to be a reason for this other than making you sit somewhere cramped and uncomfortable for an hour before your 9 hour flight.
