Cons: First room far to loud (trucks unloading / loading 5 am); second room not so loud, but still noisy. Strange inventory: No hooks to hang coats etc. Only one shelf for shirts in the wardrobe, no other furniture witgh drawers (underware etc.) half of the wardrobe full of ironong board. No hooks to hang bathrobe and bigger towels in the bathroom. small selection at breakfast, every day the same. Loud music allready at breakfast. No bowls for yoghurt and esreal to mix, except small plastic cups. All breakfast cups, spoons etc. plastic (lots of vaste) hardly any tables to eat breakfast (sofas. lounge chairs etc.) Over all feeling like a grown up youth hostel

Pros: We stayed there 5 days after it opened, the rooms were clean, the lobby was nice, and posh. The beds were very comfortable and the room has Bluetooth Bose speakers as well as smart TVs.
Cons: They offer room service, but it's from the restaurant next door called Back Deck and the food wasn't just sub-par, it was bad. I ordered a burger that was burnt, it says it comes with french fries but it comes with dry, tasteless, potato wedges. We had our room upgraded to an executive suite, and it was still incredibly small. The staff is new and it is very obvious when you check in. They couldn't find where the card keys were or how to activate them which I would expect to be hotel staff 101. For as nice as the hotel is, there's a definitely a lack of professionalism in the lobby staff. And for whoever posted that there's a welcoming bar in the lobby, it hasn't even been opened yet, so....

Pros: The Godfrey is very Modern, ideally located and the staff is super friendly. ( Except for the manager on duty when I checked in.)
Cons: Booked a two bedroom with a third party site,didn't have that option so I called up the hotel to see if there was an option. Was told to just mark in underspecial request and they would have it for me. When I checked in was given a small King size room and says that's what we booked. Told the manager who talked to us what happened and she says we never made the request. I pulled up the reservation on myphone and showed her the request, then she says its first come first serve basis. Only room left for the night was a $80 upgrade was a four class upgrade to a suite which was much bigger and had two TVs, so I took it, had no other option. Walked into the room and if that was a four class upgrade I would hate to see a regular room. Room was very small, only one TV. Don't get me wrong, hotel was very nice. Big screen TV,nice showers and towels, but felt very very very cheated. Along with the $52 for parking it was like spending $600 a night for a small room.......Really??

Pros: Location was outstanding. The interior of the hotel was impeccable - obviously new. The bed was probably the most luxurious of any hotel bed I have slept in. Bose Bluetooth speaker provided ambiance to the room. Continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise.

Pros: Stayed here twice. Both for location. Room rates are pricey but you are in the midst of downtown Boston. The in-house restaurant was serving a $20 lobster dinner special which was fantastic. Valet parking is easy and staff is very courteous. There is an extra charge for valet at $49. Again very pricey but if you are staying for a few days it evens out. The room was a standard king that was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for two. We were provided a mini fridg gratis. The usual outrageously overpriced mini bar is present along with bottled water priced at the level of alcohol. Several newspapers are available free.
Cons: Apparently the hotel is undergoing updates to its TV and wifi system. That's not a problem but there was no information provided at check in that it was happening. That is a problem. The TV acted up at start up and the wifi was cantankerous. Booting you off and causing you to sign in again and again. Quite slow also.

Pros: Great location across from Faneuil Hall, just a couple of blocks from the water front, the North End and a T stop. I like the excellent morning coffee available for free in the lobby. The Keurig machine and K-cups in the room. The free daily newspapers in the lobby from four major newspapers. I liked the free late afternoon leomanade in the lobby. The restaurant has some excellent deals buck a shuck oysters from 4:30-:6:30 everyday. The $20 New England Lobster Meal that included; Corn on the cob, seafood chowder, a lobster and more. The restaurant had el fresco dining as well as a wall of windows on North Street right across from Faneuil Hall. The lobby was beautiful and very inviting. They even had a game section on the bookshelves for kids and families. The portico was very unique and mostly sheltered. The staff was very polite and helpful. The view from the rooms with the little balconies was a beautiful touch. The wall of windows in your room was wonderful. The late check out noon, the fact that they would store your bags in a locked room with a video monitor and would tagbyour bags they were holding like you were boarding a plane.
Cons: Just a couple small things would be nice: more towel racks to hang towels in the bathroom and a refrigerator other than a completely full mini bar refrigerator with items for sale.

Pros: Location is great for exploring Boston - but if you don't want to hear the late night crowds at Quincy market-make sure to speak up.
Cons: The wine list in the restaurant is extremely overpriced and unfortunately I was served a bottle of wine that had not been stored properly and had turned. The bartender didn't agree but had the manager bring me a new bottle. That bottle was better than the first but still not tasting quite right-but we kept it because it was too much of a hassle.

Pros: Regulars at their restaurant, our first stay was all we needed. Handsome, friendly, warm lobby area; helpful, attentive staff. The in-hotel restaurant is actually very good -- and has a great bar area. The staff that delivers items to rooms are very friendly, speedy folk.
Cons: Hotel is under renovation in part, so there are inconveniences until completion early next spring. When we were there, some desk staff are "in training" and not exactly use to speaking in English (!). The door-staff/valets are very helpful.

Pros: Great location! We were able to walk to many local attractions and restaurants. The hotel room and bathroom were quite spacious. We had 4 adults in one room since one of our sons lives in the building next door. We figured we would be at his apartment most of the time and wanted to save on rooms. There was plenty of room to move around even with all the luggage. The queen size beds were much appreciated by all and the large bathroom with separate tub and shower never felt crowded. We loved the back lawn area overlooking the water. We sat out there and had cocktails and played a game of corn hole/bags with our sons.

Pros: This was a much nicer hotel than I expected for the money I paid. We were traveling with two children and had no problems. Everyone, especially the concierge was friendly and helpful. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Quincy Market and the Aquarium. The Italian North end is just a little further. Great overall experience.
Cons: The only downside was the parking at the hotel was extremely expensive and was valet only. I'm sure there were other less expensive options nearby, but we didn't want the hassle of driving around the city with two crabby kids in the car.

Pros: The hotel was beautiful and the beds fabulous. The best part of our amazing stay was the service. Jerry at the front desk and Steve, the concierge, went above and beyond to treat me, my daughter and two grandsons to a memorable introduction to Boston including sightseeing, public transportation, wonderful restaurants. I have visited world class hotels all my life and never experienced this level of caring and guidance. Bravo!!!

The room was clean and contemporary which me and my guests enjoyed. For the price, it was reasonable due to the location right next to the commons and for a saturday night in Boston. Wifi was free and they had speakers to hook up an iPad to play music.

This particular staff was not very welcoming and when I had questions I was met with some interesting attitudes. All in all, great hotel - just think like every hotel somethings can be improved.

Pros: We checked in, headed up to our room, and found a party going on in it. Upon reporting that to the front desk, they were completely confounded. They found another room (supposedly larger than the first) and gave us drink coupons for the inconvenience. No problem. The room was small. 6" between the end of the bed and the desk. But otherwise ok. So we headed down to the bar and ordered two dry martinis a tiny bit dirty. They were out of Stoli so the bartender gave us a premium Stoli. The drinks came back with so much olive brine that they were green. Not drinkable, so we decided to head out for dinner. Upon leaving the coupons we were told that they didn't apply to premium drinks. We suggested paying the difference (for undrinkable cocktails) and the bartender got an attitude and said "just forget it". Finally, upon leaving the next morning, the smallish elevator stopped on the next floor down and the housecleaner got on with her cart, a big garbage bag stuffed with laundry, and a huge gray garbage can on wheels. We were crammed into the back corner of the elevator with our bags. How strange!

Pros: I loved the modern interior design and how friendly and helpful the staff was. My wife and I stayed at the Boxer for two nights for our mini-moon. We told the front desk staff that it was our honeymoon, and then about ten minutes later, a piece of red velvet cake and a bottle of champagne arrived at our door, completely on the house. We were very impressed.

Pros: Can't argue with the location. We were able to walk inside the hotel to the mall across the bridge and right into the MBTA station without even walking outside! A plus for Boston winters! The Champions restaurant in the hotel is a little pricey for our tastes, but the food was delicious and the staff was very attentive. We frequently asked the staff in the lobby places to eat and how to get places, etc and each time we were met with a friendly face and knowledgeable information. We were able to even check out using our TV, which made our rushed exit so easy! Our room was also cleaned by ~10:30am (one day we went to breakfast and came back around ~10:30 and it was already done). People on this website also complained about the elevators being slow - we didn't experience that. We stayed on the 26th floor. There were elevators 1-27 and other ones that went to the higher floors which we didnt use, but didn't see people waiting around for them either.
Cons: There was an extremely faint electronic beeping noise that me and my husband heard every night falling asleep; nothing that prohibited us from falling asleep, but I will say that I noticed it each night as I was falling asleep. A little pricey, but warranted given the location; we also didn't pay for parking as we had a family member with a free garage spot at work across town.

Pros: I love the convenience, it is by far the most convenient hotel in Boston, it has a T stop in walking distance, it has a shaws right across the street, it has a connecting tunnel to shopping malls, has great bars and restaurants inside, and connected to the convention center as well as the sheraton where my friends were staying. the beds were so comfy. the pool and hot tub were well maintained especially considering the amount of people. The other thing I loved was the doormen they were amazing at helping me with my very heavy cumbersome bag and getting me a taxi I loved their manners!
Cons: When I first arrived to check in the person checking me in said I had two reservations, for two rooms, one paid for one not. I was pretty freaked when I heard this because they asked me to pay again at the desk. I contacted Kayak and according to the nice lady from the company she took care of everything and she did it was not on my bill. My complaint is that it shouldnt have been an issue to begin with, how stupid was the guy at the front desk? Kayak has been good to me with reservations why was that an issue? I actually dont understand how that would have even happened to begin with. My other complaint is even though I KNOW there were several conventions in town that weekend, I was really upset that my friends at the Sheraton got to have an extended check out till 2pm when I KNOW almost EVERY Marriott I have stayed at before has extended check out, the book says they offered it and the lady on the phone said they did NOT offer it specifically because of the convention. I don't see it as far if a hotel attached to the same convention center with the same amount of people could have it and I could not. Especially since the Marriott was a far nicer establishment the hotel room I stayed in and hotel in general was far better kept and polished then the Sheraton. So that was my only true disappointment. Especially since I did not have to check out, I was all set and would just leave. I understand as my mother used to work for Marriott that the maids have to come in and clean asap before new people check in around 4. But still, that just...was odd. In a hotel that large usually they have maids for a lot longer so, I guess I am just missing something.

We couldn't adjust the AC except to two temperatures: 68 and 74. 3) No mirror in the room. 4) No refrigerator or mini-bar in the room. 5) No blow dryer. 6) Waited 15 minutes for an elevator, then couldn't get on it was so crowded. 7) Rude, arrogant staff except for Serena, and the day GM, who tried to help but wasn't around to do much until it was too late. The welcome from reception was friendly and professional, and the ice cool drinks we were offered on arrival were gratefully accepted. Pros: We stayed at the Revere for first night Boston 2015. We arrived at noon to valet the vehicle and have the front desk hold our luggae until our room was available. Come to find out they had a room readily available and we didnt have to wait until 3 or 4 which was the usual check in time. Scored big points with that type of service. The young woman at the front desk was very professional and helpful and gave us a map of boston for our new years adventure. We didnt spend much time in the hotel as it was new years. The room was very modern and hip and super clean. The beds were comfortable and the best part was we were able to view the boston harbor fireworks from our hotel balcony at midnight! Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the city for a night or a few days- location is great and a place called Mike and Pattys is right around the corner with awesome breakfast sandwiches. Glad we chose the Revere!

Ever. Hallway was meeting central at 3am for drunken shenanigans by other guests. Finally, on the fourth day, after returning to the hotel after a long day, the wireless entry failed, so we had to wait to be let into the room. To the front desk's credit, they were going to upgrade us for free on the last night for the inconvenience, but one of us needed to get back into the room because they were flying out in two hours, so that wouldn't work. Was promised an email accounting, even gave email address and was promised in 5-10min; it's now over twelve hours later, and still no receipt in my inbox or spam/junk folder.

The rooms were beautifully decorated, bed had lots of pillows, nice linens, and very big for a city room. We booked online for 2 double beds b/c that was the offer but they gladly upgraded us to a king room at no extra charge. The restaurant attached called Brasserie Joe is very pretty and serves breakfast so we didn't have to venture out in the snow trying to find a place to eat. Close to nice restaurants and fun bars that we could easily walk to even in the winter cold. Would definitely stay here again.

Thought you only find that in youth hostels or un-renovated budget hotels... This one should be marketed with a warning label or taken off the list until they have resolved the noise issue. The building was very nice and had a good historic feel that fit the neighborhood, without feeling old. Back Bay area around there is great. Cons: Got the King room and while the bed/TV were great, they pretty much took up the whole room. Not much space at all, fairly crammed. (Getting ready for our party and having the ironing board out created some keystone cop moments.) I checked lack of value because it was $444 a night. It's a better value than the other hotels in the area, it's just Boston is super expensive to visit (I've gone to SF, DC, NYC this year already and stayed in just as nice or nicer places, never paid nearly that much). So it's really Boston area hotels that aren't value compared to other outstanding cities. My reco is only go to Boston when you find a discount.

Cons: Had to move rooms 3, almost 4, times. The whole situation was handled very poorly until we finally were helped by a manager. Just wish it did not have to get that far... Overall, the hotel is extremely outdated, struggled to control the temperature in the room and the walls were so thin we heard a screaming child all night. Images online are extremely deceiving and lead to a disappointing experience as a whole.

Pros: Although small, the room was comfortable and the shower quite lovely. Plenty of hot water in the morning. A blizzard was expected so I decided to check out a day early, and this was hassle free. I did not ask for the name of the person who helped me with the checkout, but she was very polite and extremely helpful. The door man and valet folks were quick to bring my car and wish me a safe journey. Overall a very pleasant stay and I was able to accomplish that which I was in town for.
Cons: I found sleep very difficult due to the noise level throughout the first night of my stay, which was a Tuesday. Many drunk people coming to rooms late very loud in the hallway and then one couple in the room next to mine arguing until approximately 4am.

Pros: When we arrived the hotel was sold out and did not go or our "guaranteed reservation" for a double room. We were instead offered a full size bed and a cot for the same rate even though the room sells for $50 less. Spent most of our night on the phone with Kayak who didn't care. Says it's non refundable yet how they can say it's a guaranteed reservation when clearly it's a maybe!

Pros: I had a coupon for $5.00 off if I belonged to a star program, and I did not since I was there for a graduation. The staff allowed me to get a bagel and cream cheese for my son for the coupon, and I was very impressed with there adaptability and kindness. I did not meet one unkind or ungracious staff in the hotel. I liked the fact connected to a mall without having to go out side since it was very rainy the first day of stay. Beautiful shops and further dining choices. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Pros: We liked the luxurious feel of the hotel and that the Hotel was pet friendly. The Hotel is very beautiful and clean and it also had a boutique hotel, friendly feel to it. The hotel was right next to a beautiful big park which was great to take a walk in. We were also in a close proximity to a very luxurious restaurant with excellent food.The rooms were clean and comfortable and recently updated. I must give a five star plus service rating to them because I happened to left my iPad and wallet behind in the safe and they actually sent everything back to me via express overnight right away free of charge to me. Excellent service, great staff!

Plumbing noisy and easy to hear voices in next room. Would never stay here again. Too many other quality hotels in the area. Missed the mark with the redo.

It was a short stroll to classy Newbury St. Our upgraded queen room was quite comfortable for our 4 day stay, but not roomy. The bathroom was tight, but functional. The shower was fine. The inside courtyard view is boring--- really just a view of 3 sides of the hotel building. Personally, we'd have preferred a noisy street view. The elevator situation was fine most of the time but occasionally we had to wait in a very long line (50 ft long one afternoon) to board a crowded elevator. This happened when a business conference let out masses of participants all at once.
