Pros: The location was good and it was decorated very retro and on trend. Not a typical hotel chain where everything looks the same. I also liked that they had complimentary coffee and water in the lobby and the room.
Cons: The fan was broken in the room and I mentioned it to two people at the front desk. Both said that they would send someone up with a replacement. That did not happen. Front desk associates were chatting with the valet or using a personal cell.

Cons: When we got there, there was another charge of $16.00 to use the pool and bar which we were not told about previously. Also we used the pool but there was nowhere to get drinks until 5pm, would have been good to have somewhere to get drinks.

Teresa even walked us out the door in the rain, to point us in the direction of our chosen restaurant and our musical venue - and lent us an umbrella to walk there. The foyer and the sitting parlor where breakfast is served were truly luxurious - the antique mural style wallpaper was mesmerizing. We were so impressed with the grandeur of our room. Ten foot ceilings, dental molding, an inviting queen bed tucked away - beautiful couch, sitting area and breakfast table. The room was a perfect temperature - but we could easily have adjusted that with the enticing fireplace. We stayed in the Morningside Room and it was grand, indeed! It is bright, with simple blinds to block the light, but we did not need to sleep late. There is a noise machine to block the traffic sounds, but they were not overly noisy, and we used the air purifier which provided just the right amount of gentle sound. Everything was absolutely perfect. And the cleanliness of this antique home was so impressive! Not a speck of dust - shiny hardwood floors, and flawless walls. We found the breakfast perfect. This is not a place to go for a giant breakfast - but there was coffee, juice, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, bread to toast with peanut butter and jam, and delicious little pastries. We will be looking for excuses to come back and stay in the city!

Staff very helpful in this very uncertain time and also a big plus the hotel refunded our last night stay when we chose to change our travel plans due to COVID 19 So helpful in a stressful time thank you would definitely recommend this hotel

Cons: The parking caught us by surprise but maybe our fault due to lack of research. There is nowhere to park at front of hotel and a guy approaches and (very professionally) takes all bags etc and then takes care of car.....but there is no idea on the cost until next morning and its very high....still though we did enjoy the service very much!!

Pros: The Room was spacious and fit 2 couples easily without feeling like we were on top of each other. The pull-out couch was comfortable. The kitchenette with fridge was a great amenity to have. We were in a great location and I mean great. Star Market was 2 blocks away, Target & Starbucks 1 block away and a Wahlburgers and Marshall's directly across the street and a great Tap House Trillium just around the corner. We were 2 blocks from Fenway and could see the Ballpark from our room. We were about 6 blocks from the Subway which is Kenmore Square. The area is great for both families and couples of all ages. All staff members were fantastic.

From other reviews I've seen people are expecting some full on BnB experience that is not, but they do offer a free continental breakfast if you're up early. If you're into documenting your luxurious accommodations to show off – this is not for you. If you're more into being in a clean place that's centrally located where you're going to sleep and refresh – 100% yes. The place was full and yet we saw no one and never waited for the bathroom. Friendly staff that got us in and out efficiently.

Pros: Room is clean, bathroom was just outside. In the past I've been in hostels all over the damn world and that's what this was to me – a hostel for adults. From other reviews I've seen people are expecting some full on BnB experience that is not, but they do offer a free continental breakfast if you're up early. If you're into documenting your luxurious accommodations to show off – this is not for you. If you're more into being in a clean place that's centrally located where you're going to sleep and refresh – 100% yes. The place was full and yet we saw no one and never waited for the bathroom. Friendly staff that got us in and out efficiently.

Pros: The Buckminster is in a great location - right off Kenmore Square. It has amazing old-style charm, a gorgeous lobby, a great restaurant for breakfast, and a warm, friendly staff. The rooms are small but clean, functional and comfortable.
Cons: The heat was not easily regulated - our room was 86 degrees. Also, the small rooms and doorways would probably not accommodate a wheelchair.

Cons: I was un aware that there was no private room and this place is a youth hostel. I canceled on the spot and then was stuck with a $400 hotel room because Boston is over priced for no logical reason.
