Some of the staff were helpful. There are few rooms for families, and the rooms are not clearly described when checking in. We were even told by our travel agent that the suites all had sleeping for four, which she emailed us after speaking with the hotel. That turns out to be untrue. Only a handful of the suites can accommodate more than two. In our second room (during a 2-night stay), our HVAC unit burnt out and the hotel did not volunteer to help us move to a new room. Once they agreed to give us a new room, we had to ask for help moving, and then again we had to ask for help to set up two roll-away beds. At least one staff person was rude for no apparent reason.
The hotel was very nice, staffordable were friendly and hedlpful, roooroom was great. The iron in the room was pretty low quality and couMD donwith an upgrade. Also, it was much further from downtown Boston and publicensed transport than I thought It would be.

The rooms were spacious, view was great, beds were very comfortable. Unbelievably expensive rate for the property. They charged me more than the maximum stated on the door in the room!! And then I had a $35 parking fee on top! (You're captive due to the location, which can be tricky to access off Soldiers Field Rd if you're driving.) could not get the TV to work, or the in room phone! For the price everything should be perfect!
Liked the staff, very accommodating and professional. The layout of the rooms really feels comfortable, less like a hotel. The location works for me because it's close to my daughter. Love the cookies. Furniture in living room portion of room could use a good cleaning or update. It's a bit noisy, so if you like it very quiet, probably wouldn't work for you. Restaraunt menu selection is minimal also for the room service.
35 dollars for parking for one night. Hotel workers protesting at 7am woke us up. Staff unlocked our door and came in while we were still in bed.

Nothing Over price for the room, no continental breakfast, area location was too busy ... Too expense hotel doesn't offer continatal breakfast for that price

The service was very good. The sound pollution, so many sounds, people singing, talking and walking in the corridor. To many gypsum walls in the hotel structure is not good for sound in bed time. By other hand the bathroom haved a big lick in the roof when the people in upper floor is taking a bath...

proximity to downtown and Harvard; price was good when compared to other locations in the area that were close to the city core (1 mile walk to Harvard Central Subway, 20 minutes after thta to major points in the city. This place was definitely on a budget. There was no Internet available in the lobby; the plumbing in my room needed work; it had a bit of a rundown feel to it. It is a 2-star trying to pass itself on as a 3-star. But for the location how can you complain.

I liked the easy check-in and reservation system, and the on-site free parking. I also enjoyed free internet signal and the ease of signing on to it I didn't tlike the fact that I could hear other people's plumbing (toilet flushing especially) that seemed to go on all night long and to come from every direction. It made my rest less restful.

Nothing specific but I kindly like the location. Internet service was very bad, Lobby was boring !!
Although the room was clean, which is excellent, the bath tub was a bit old. After all: a good value for the price. By the way, the chineese restaurant on the first floor was really really good. My laundry bag was not picked up. I got into some troubles because of that.

Decent, basic accommodations. Great Chinese restaurant on premises - authentic, not "American" Chinese.
I think it is cheaper! But it is not the case. The furniture in room is too simple, there are no chairs. There are some strange smell in room, but I can not open the window. There is no air- conditions. It's hot. You can repair the window and install a air- conditions.
This Inn was what I expected for the money. It was overall cute and pretty cozy, and you got a private room for a low price. I might check out some of the area hostels before going back, because you do sacrifice cleanliness and newness for having a private room. Hostels would be about the same price, but be cleaner and more up to date shared dorm style rooms. The beds werent the nicest, and some of my pillowcases were dirty when I arrived. Additionally, the plugs were old and difficult to use to charge my phone. Overall, it was cozy and about as nice as I expected for the price. I also didn't mind the shared bathroom, which might be an issue for some people.
The hotel was not too far away from Fenway Park. Since that is what I was going to do, it worked out perfect: less than two miles away.
the staff was helpful the place was an absolute dump, with no screens on the windows, filthy towels and sheets. something was oozing through the ceiling, unquestionably the worst place I've ever spent a night that I actually had to pay for
The price and parking were good. Did not know it would have shared bath; no TP TO the whole time I was there, no towels, freezing cold. The room had a kitchenette but the plug to the fridge didn't reach the wall so it was useless. Also no mirror in the bedroom, so I had to do my makeup in the car. Very very noisy, did not sleep at all second night. Sounded like the entire building was partying.

I like here because the owner is really kind people also i could believe him so that's why i recommend the Farrington to you guys.
Price and location were good, relatively close to MBTA transportation. The sheets were clean, and there were no visible signs of bedbugs or other pests. The rooms could have been cleaner, the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke, and the shared bathroom had a bit of mold on the ceiling of the shower.
WiFi work well :-) Interesting retro design. This is not more than hostel with small rooms. Quite chip, so other guest may make you some troubles. No climate control also is troublesome in the end of June, especially in room under roof.
Good location - whether from South station, or any of the colleges. The entrance was leaking. It was the height of the Boston infamous winter and water was pouring down the entrance. Anyway, I guess this was due to the weather again - the owner may not have planned this level of snow. So in that sense, my review may understate the place.
Staff was courteous and helpful. Small fridge, microwave, sink, counter for eating, in room. Shared bathroom, bring your own toiletries.
