Return flight was delayed over half an hour and we had to stand because the gate area in Penang was too small.

This is now our airline of choice between KL and Singapore and the next time we fly to Australia we will try flying with Air Asia. It was a very short flight so entertainment was not provided, and we were perfectly happy with that. Very reasonable fare. All staff were charming and very helpful. Highly recommend.

I arrived 3AM at KKIA, expected boarding time is 5.30AM but check-in counters are not open until past 4AM. Already 4.30AM but there was still only 1 person at the counter. Not enough instructions for self-service but no one on the floor to assist people. Arrived at my gate 15mins before boarding time. At the gate, they put up both TPE and HKG boarding information which confused the passengers.

The staff has no personality and no working knowledge of how customer service is supposed to be. I booked this as Malaysia Airlines and even though it's operated by Firefly, it should've recognized my priority status with OneWorld.

There was one local manager who smiled a lot and tried to promise things that it turned out he wasn't allowed to promise while his airline was screwing me.

International travelers, check and recheck your flight. Firefly canceled my flight "several weeks ago", according to them, didn't notify me by phone or email despite the fact that they admitted they had both on file, didn't refund the money to my credit card until the day before departure so i had no idea of the change, and then provided no help whatsoever when i arrived at the airport and the flight didn't exist anymore.

The pastry was nothing but a lump of dough with tasteless fillings, and the main meal was atrocious. Everything else was mediocre, except the crew, who were friendly and warm as always,

I was detained at the ticket cutting counter because I carried extra plastic back for purchase at the airport. Apparently in HK they have absurd rules saying that you can only have 2 bags carry on. Any extra has to be charges. I never have that kind of rules before using Air Asia at the other country, especially we buy some presents at the airport. I end up throwing a few items away because I can't squeeze in everything in my carry on bag. I will no longer take Air Asia for the Hong Kong Route.

Seems like Malindo is starting to degrading the service quality. The flight I took before: they change the airplane to batik which was worse with no entertainment, smaller seat pitch, etc. I book Malindo for a reason and paid for what expected using Malindo!! If they had to change the plane they should've given better one or given back compensation to passengers! Now this flight, they didn't activate the entertainment till way later and turned off way too early. They didn't give any earphone as supposed to. Malindo's service has become bad.

Everything was smooth and easy. Check-in line was short, the whole airport experience was quick and easy. Flight was smooth, comfortable, staff was so friendly. When I checked in for my flight in Penang, the girl who helped me, Kay, was the most friendly help I've ever had.. She offered me a great seat and was patient and friendly when I requested to be moved around. She made conversation while we waited for the system to finish, and had a huge smile the whole time. She set the time for the whole airport and flight experience, and had me smiling the rest of the day. If there's a way to tell her bosses - she is a gem, hang on to her! I'm looking forward to my next trip on firefly!

the flight attendant on board was lively in making announcements!

Flight was first brought forward by 30 mins. Arrived on time at the gate, but actually it's delayed by 15 mins from the original time. So in total delayed about 50 mins from brought forward time. NO ground staff at the gate bothers to inform us. Flight status screen shows "Callng", when approached, ground staff just replied "not yet" in a bad manner. Terrible ground service.
