Cons: "I was charged $183 USD for the same bag that was free on Malaysian airlines. Huge extortion rip off."
Cons: "Luggage check-in weighs luggage 22 kilos more than its actual weight and I was asked to pay almost RM650 ~ ($170), when I was asked to recheck they had to pull my luggage back and that took almost 40 minutes to later know that they made a huge mistake! 20 minutes to the boarding time I got confirmation that my luggage weights are correct and given a boarding pass to gate P11. walked to gate P11 and saw no one there, and there were no signs of what was happening, I checked Kayak app then I noticed that they changed the gate to L10 which is a totally different building ( 16 minutes before gate closure ), I had to run the whole airport to go to gate L10. not to mention that flight was delayed by a good 1 hour!"
Pros: "Delayed 2 time"
Cons: "Everything"
Pros: "I will say that the AirAsia crews do save the day. This is my first time flying AirAsia on a 3 leg trip (currently on leg 2) and the crew members have been absolutely awesome and stellar."
Cons: "I’m just a BIG guy so space is my overall complaint. But as my first experience with AirAsia, it has not been a great one. First my initial flight kept being delayed and delayed until it was actually canceled. Then my second leg of my vacation trip, again, delayed and they just had us standing in line waiting to board our flight. Again I give praise to the wonderful crew members for the stellar and comforting service. They truly are the reason I have not given up on AirAsia just yet. Now I do have one leg left, my tip home...I’m hoping that this one will be the overall best experience for my AirAsia. I’m praying for an on time departure, and another wonderful staff and just a tiny bit more leg space. Wish me luck"
Pros: "Inexpensive flight, attentive crew"
Cons: "Immigration offload for no reason then asked to rebook .."
Pros: "Quick"
Cons: "No food or drinks. But that was expected as we didn’t pay for it"
Pros: "Nope"
Cons: "Flight delayed 2hrs"
Pros: "Delayed in departures for 30 mins but arrived only by 5 mins late"
Cons: "In the Ramadan month, on board the plan just when time for breaking fast, a small glass of plain water to be given free for passengers on the flight at that time would be a thoughtful gesture"
Pros: "The crew are friendly."
Cons: "Quite often arrived late, took too long for passengers to settle down."
Pros: "On time and very friendly helpful staff. Especially ground crew"
Pros: "Everything was smooth"
Cons: "The short space between seats. Hard to get comfortable without room for knees. Have to pay extra for an aisle even if some are empty. Crew doesn't care."
Cons: "I arrived 3AM at KKIA, expected boarding time is 5.30AM but check-in counters are not open until past 4AM. Already 4.30AM but there was still only 1 person at the counter. Not enough instructions for self-service but no one on the floor to assist people. Arrived at my gate 15mins before boarding time. At the gate, they put up both TPE and HKG boarding information which confused the passengers."
Pros: "convenient times"
Cons: "your machines i hate that you now employ less humans and more machines. no one wants to fly anywhere without humans in control"
Pros: "Seat & food"
Cons: "None"
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Pros: "Good landing despite bad turbulence."
Cons: "The flight was damn cold and freezing"
Pros: "Pilot was communicative and smooth landing"
Cons: "Long check in. Didn't allow us to mobile or online check in for some reason"
Pros: "The food is shockingly decent. Yeah you have to pay cash and it’s not convenient, but the food is edible and there is lots of variety."
Cons: "AirAsia sucks balls. Or at least, it was fine leaving Singapore, but returning from a crappy small town airport to it was a fraudulent nightmare. We were told to check in online and add baggage at least two days before flying to avoid excessive baggage fees. So we paid them the first time, no problem. But AirAsias website is clearly coded by bricks with fingers. Because 6,5,4, and 3 days prior, it says such service is unavailable. Okay, we’ll do it at the airport then, it’ll be nice and easy just like at Changi. Only at this crappy subpar excuse for an airport, they live by no rules and want to charge $300USD - more than double what was charged at Changi - for two 20kg bags. 20kg, which my boarding pass and my booking both say we are entitled to, is suddenly 5kg in excess, so they want to screw your American wallet hard, long, and good because even if you had a good time, chances are you will never pass through the half baked gas station that is Langkawi again. Oh yeah and don’t bother paying for the WiFi - they get you good there too - 10mb which is basically a couple jpegs but you won’t get squat anyway. Literally nothing, and then suddenly your puny 10mb has disappeared, along with your money and what’s left of AirAsias credibility."
Pros: "Awesome services - on the air and on the ground"
Cons: "Can't think of any"
Pros: "On time.. .short flight"
Cons: "Cramped seats"
Pros: "Like food and nice crew"
Cons: "Always worry delay"
Pros: "Good because of direct flight"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Flight was delayed."
Pros: "wifi. while boarding staff try to sort us with seats numbers, good, but the procedure should be improved. friendly staff."
Cons: "boarding was delayed till last minutes before takeoff. no meal included in ticket (ok, it's a lowcoster)."
Pros: "On time"
Pros: "On time"
Pros: "On time Arrived early"
Cons: "All ok"
Pros: "Just for budget flights"
Cons: "Seats, boarding, delays"
Cons: "The flight was delayed by more than 1 hour with all the passengers seated in the plane. They didn't need to board the passengers so early."
Pros: "The flight itself was ok."
Cons: "Check in staff was extremely rude, and extorted us for RM 20 for checking in 59 minutes before the flight instead of the supposedly required 60 minutes. Their policies are outrageous, arbitrary and not stated anywhere."
Cons: "It was my first time flying a LCC. OK, it is my fault for not knowing they charge much higher rate of extras for any add-ons you fail to include when you first book the flight. I get it. But why do they make it impossible to access "manage your flight" online to make necessary changes on return flight? And I got nowhere with the online chat box, s nowhere to turn.... Making such changes on Tiger Air was so much easier and intuitive. I'll never fly Air Asia if I can help it."
Cons: "Everything also must charge, the worst one is even you pay them money they still want to charge extra, seat is the smallest among all airline."
Cons: "Air Asia not only charged me for luggage at check-in, but charged me TWICE for the same piece of luggage, stating that since I was flying "two segments" they had to charge me two times, though my luggage and I were going to one destination (with a layover in between). Never again will I fly this airline."
