Previous flight with Cathay from LAX was delayed thus missing this flight to KL by 12 hours. This in turn missed other travel arrangements from KL. They did provide overnight accommodation in Hong Kong.
Cathay has always been great. Even allowed some leniency on my baggage weight. I believe they are also on the more leg room side of airlines.
Missed our flight with Cathay due to late Westjet plane and chaotic Toronto airport. Had to clear customs get bags and re check bags in an hour. Did not make it got lost not clear signage with bag drop off. West jet only allowed 1 checked bag for this international fluid. Cathay checked my second bag for free.
Boarding on any airline is a hot mess. Load your pivilaged passengers, then back to front. Back to front.
The flight experience was good for a long flight over the pole, but it got my wife to the Far East in time.
Problems with entertainment system eventually rectified. Cabin crew attentive and polite but a bit absent minded when it came to remembering requests, salt, sugar etc.
We flew economy light. We did not want to check bags and we had free 1 bag, but just had back packs with small personal item. Try as we may could only get bags down to 17lbs each. So we put 2 lbs from one bag into other and checked it. I think if someone has a checked bag allowance and chose not to use it , it would benefit both parties to bump carry on weight up to the next level of 22lbs or 10kgs. Just a thought.
Trip was fine. My only complaint was that when the passenger in front of me reclined her seat (which was, in essence, the whole flight except landing and take-off,) it was uncomfortably claustrophobic for me and very difficult for my husband to get in and out of his window seat. Also uncomfortable to watch the entertainment because the screen was right in your face.
Very friendly and accommodating staff. Food was great. Lots of movies and tv shows to choose from. Highly recommend.
Cathay much better than other options Imigration was a total mess on arrival in KL but not Cathay s fault
Everything was excellent except the breakfast was cheap yogurt and cake ????
The flight departed more than an hour later than expected. The flight itself was good. No other problems.
Plane was late. Too many announcements during the flight. Made me pay that deposit. Uncomfortable seats.
It was pretty good. The transatlantic flights can be tough on any airline, but this was a decent experience. The only thing I disliked was the airline crew moved my carry on bag without telling me or explaining anything. If I was sleeping during that part, I would’ve assumed it was stolen.
Exorbitantly overpriced ticket. Flight was delayed as per usual with air Canada and there was zero refund or compensation.
Flight delay due to staff shortage. No snack or drinks served. Toilets had water collecting on the floor.
The help at check-in area was excellent! The crew on board was great and the legroom and entertainment is excellent!
Flight was delayed due to crew/co-pilot change over delay and Pearson scheduling issue. Flight didn't leave until 20:05 which was 15 minutes before it was supposed to land in YYZ.
Snacks and drinks should be served together and air hostess was not supportive with no smile which was kind of disappointing.
ANA was amazing. The service, food, and newer plane made it a comfortable flight. I misplaced something on a dinner tray that was already collected and the crew went through each one so we actually found it! :) kudos!
