Relaxed atmosphere but highly professional. Hosts could not have been more hospitable.
The host, the breakfast and the overall atmosphere
This is an excellent B& B and Tom is the perfect host. His recommendations were all perfect. Breakfast was delicious every day and the wine, beer and cheese on Friday and Saturday evenings was very pleasant.
Absolutely fantastic!!! Will definitely come back. Beautiful old house, very friendly and helpful staff. Thank you Tom, Patricia and Michael!
Great people, incredible hospitality. Very good choice also for business traveller as an alternative to very boring big hotels.
Tom, the host was amazing. the place was beautiful and extremely convenient.
As soon as you walk in the door they treat you like family and also they hand you an adult beverage very nice to come off a long drive to such a relaxing place it feels just like home was an amazing bed and breakfast Nothing
Very friendly and helpful
I was a little leary staying in a new area of New Orleans especially away from the main locations like the French Quarter, etc. I and the group we were with was quickly relieved once we saw the Trolly stopped right in front of the hotel! We LOVED the easy free parking. Super clean and fresh smelling facility. Friendly, helpful staff. If you do not feel like going the French Quater there are a lot of wonderful resturants near by. The free breakfast was a plus!! Wide variety and very fresh! We feel like we have found a hidden gem! We only had one thing that was a tad off putting. The room we were in had a small smell of old cigarettes. Not being a smoker it might have stood out more? I can only imagine how hard it is to get that smell out.
The free on-site4 parking was great. The hotel was very clean and the staff was great. It is also located on the St. Charles Ave. streetcar line, which made it convenient to jump and go the the French district and other places. Also, the breakfasts were very good. My wife and I had no complaints.
Perfect location, pet friendly with easy access to grass to walk him. This is the main reason I booked this hotel and that it was such easy access to the French quarter etc. free parking. Every single front desk staff member was SO unprofessional. They did not greet us, barely look at us, was talking on her phone on speaker while checking us in. Thought next day person would be better. Nope. Even more rude. They made us park in a garage the first night away from hotel which was so inconvenient. When I went the next day to get our parking pass as promised the next girl wouldn't even look at me. I had to ask questions and her response was, Yup. Checking out with a different lady she spoke 2 words to me and handed my receipt. I've never experienced such un-customer friendly hotel staff located in the "friendliest city". Most of all our New Orleans experience was with friendly people except our hotel. The rudest. If the girls hate their job that much they need to get in a different line of work. I'm in sales and customer service. So unacceptable. They seemed to be nicer to older people. Room was tiny, very old, smells a little like mildew.
I was so pleased that they had a variety of gluten free options for breakfast, I have never seen that before! They were also very accommodating when I needed to check in after midnight and add on some nights to my stay. Will stay here again. Nothing
Clean, true breakfast, location Toilet seat loose and swung side to side. Closet door falling apart.
The choices for free breakfast were great! Staff was helpful and friendly. Air conditioning unit was loud.
Did not charge parking in a city that charges parking on everything everywhere Hotel was so completely booked that we couldn't get a different room after we found dog kibbles all around the room, dog hair on the bolster pillows, and trash under the beds--it was a small hotel; also, had no pool.
I liked that it was the St Charles street car line. It was a tiny hotel. Mostly clean, even though it looks old My bathroom had a little bit of mold in it, but I'm assuming since it's New Orleans, that's a little hard to really eradicate. Besides that, Ines's very quaint and nice, especially the room. The hallways were old, but rooms were great.
The location is really good-right on St.Charles trolley line. The linens on the bed kept coming off and there were no mattress covers. It is an older hotel but good price if you are on a budget.
Convenient location;lots of amenities for the price
FREE PARKING was a very convenient perk. The staff was very accommodating. We brought our bicycles in with us and they were very nice about it. Free breakfast was better than most hotels free breakfast. Wasn't fine dining but the porch out front made it very enjoyable. There is ample eating area in the lobby and a large porch with tables. The streetcar runs in front of the hotel and is peaceful to watch. We are from louisiana and visit new orleans frequently. This is one of the best "chain hotels" we've stayed in. They have adapted very well to the city and you don't feel like you're staying in a chain hotel. A little noisy. Someone down our hall kept slamming the door early in the night. But once we were asleep we didn't hear it.
Staff courteous and helpful, amenities (cheese/fruit @ tea, to go bags, sweet and savory breakfast items with protein) were bountiful, coffee excellent with mild and BOLD option. Right on street car line, out of touristy area, public transport connections r easy to make. Room was spacious enough, bed was ever so comgy, shower head options were very effective Yikes! Roomwas by ice machine and elevator shaft. It worked for me bec. I needed to be up and out. Were i on a pleasure trip that early am HUMMMMM would DEFINITELY be a room changer request.
Very nice room overlooking St Charles Ave. Very helpful staff.
The breakfast was nice. Loved the lemon water touch. Bed was more comfortable than mine at home. The hidden taxes. I asked for the total amount when booking so I would be prepared. My bill was $55 more than I was quoted.
The staff was very professional. Continental breakfast left much to be desired but coulis is just around the corner and is a top notch breakfast restaurant. Best hotel in uptown as far as I'm concerned. Still a bit pricey despite not being at full occupancy.
