Cons: "Luggage check-in weighs luggage 22 kilos more than its actual weight and I was asked to pay almost RM650 ~ ($170), when I was asked to recheck they had to pull my luggage back and that took almost 40 minutes to later know that they made a huge mistake! 20 minutes to the boarding time I got confirmation that my luggage weights are correct and given a boarding pass to gate P11. walked to gate P11 and saw no one there, and there were no signs of what was happening, I checked Kayak app then I noticed that they changed the gate to L10 which is a totally different building ( 16 minutes before gate closure ), I had to run the whole airport to go to gate L10. not to mention that flight was delayed by a good 1 hour!"

Cons: "My bag was sent to Kuala Lumpur for no reason. I checked in with plenty of time and when I arrived in Singapore I was advised that not only could they not call to Panang to inquire about my bag -it had to be arranged through email but also bags aren’t destination scanned! I work for United airlines and it seems primitive not to know where a bag is in today’s day and age. The following day, knowing that I was departing back to the United States miraculously my bag showed up at the airport the same time as my minimum required check in time."

Cons: "I arrived 3AM at KKIA, expected boarding time is 5.30AM but check-in counters are not open until past 4AM. Already 4.30AM but there was still only 1 person at the counter. Not enough instructions for self-service but no one on the floor to assist people. Arrived at my gate 15mins before boarding time. At the gate, they put up both TPE and HKG boarding information which confused the passengers."
Pros: "This is now our airline of choice between KL and Singapore and the next time we fly to Australia we will try flying with Air Asia. It was a very short flight so entertainment was not provided, and we were perfectly happy with that. Very reasonable fare. All staff were charming and very helpful. Highly recommend."
Pros: "Captain address on delayed update and get free meal"
Cons: "Initialy no staff at gate to update the delay. Passenger left wondering. Luckly received alert from Kayak.com on the delay. Received sms at 9.05pm after 1 hour delay from Airasia."
Pros: "Everything was great"
Cons: "The head stewardess pronounced a few words wrong"
Pros: "convenient times"
Cons: "your machines i hate that you now employ less humans and more machines. no one wants to fly anywhere without humans in control"
Cons: "Rough flight and landing, seemed like a rookie pilot was flying."
Pros: "Short inexpensive fligh"
Cons: "Seat rows were very close & limited room."
Pros: "The food is shockingly decent. Yeah you have to pay cash and it’s not convenient, but the food is edible and there is lots of variety."
Cons: "AirAsia sucks balls. Or at least, it was fine leaving Singapore, but returning from a crappy small town airport to it was a fraudulent nightmare. We were told to check in online and add baggage at least two days before flying to avoid excessive baggage fees. So we paid them the first time, no problem. But AirAsias website is clearly coded by bricks with fingers. Because 6,5,4, and 3 days prior, it says such service is unavailable. Okay, we’ll do it at the airport then, it’ll be nice and easy just like at Changi. Only at this crappy subpar excuse for an airport, they live by no rules and want to charge $300USD - more than double what was charged at Changi - for two 20kg bags. 20kg, which my boarding pass and my booking both say we are entitled to, is suddenly 5kg in excess, so they want to screw your American wallet hard, long, and good because even if you had a good time, chances are you will never pass through the half baked gas station that is Langkawi again. Oh yeah and don’t bother paying for the WiFi - they get you good there too - 10mb which is basically a couple jpegs but you won’t get squat anyway. Literally nothing, and then suddenly your puny 10mb has disappeared, along with your money and what’s left of AirAsias credibility."
Pros: "Efficient service & great crew"
Pros: "fast and easy"
Cons: "seat comfort and leg room plus they charge for everything extra"
Pros: "Check in staff was trying to ensure me that hoping the cabin crew can help me changed seats"
Cons: "Flight was delayed by 2 hours. What's worst my 5 years old daughter have to be seperated from me. And instead of them asking the passengers to swap they'd expect me to solve their stuffed up. Not very impressed at all"
Pros: "Quick easy and simple. Staff were very friendly."
Cons: "No a ala carte food available due to insufficient staff, no towel for shower and i need to use my own towel and carry the wet towel on the way back to Singapore, no hot water for shower, staff sitting down there to chit chat and a cleaner was preparing my lousy latte. Worst Plaza Premium Lounge experience!"
Pros: "quick check-in and no-nonsense."
Cons: "They were fine."
Pros: "Inexpensive flights. Book early to get the best deals."
Cons: "The announcement came almost every few minutes, which is annoying. Carrier will squeeze every penny out of you. Bring something on board to eat if a long flight."
Pros: "Low cost"
Cons: "We paid a small fortune for the couple of kilograms we were over our 15kg allowance."
Cons: "Hot air-conditioning"
Cons: "No family priority boarding."
Pros: "Cabin Crew was great First time using the inflight entertainment Rokki. Great job Airasia."
Cons: "Ground check in crew at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (Azureen) was damn rude. I'm appalled with her customer service level. Rude and not helping at all. Worst Airport staff I've met so far."
Cons: "The leg room is deplorable. My knees were continuously hitting the hard seat in front of me and going sideways wasn't even an option. I've never had this happen to me before. I'm a female and 5'9 and this is the least space I've ever had on a flight. So uncomfortable I can't imagine a long flight with this airline, which is good to know because now I will not use them for flying to Malaysia from NYC. Also both flights were delayed by nearly an hour each."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "I was charged over $200 for luggage overweight because I did not purchase it at time of booking. That's disgraceful. They should make it clear for people outside Asia who are not familiar with their policies what they should do to avoid these charges Jackie"
Pros: "Pilots made a great effort to cut down the delay, kudos to them."
Cons: "No organization whatsoever in boarding procedures. No announcement made on the flight being delayed, only a message passed down from passengers at the very front. Plane was not cleaned and emptied of rubbish before we were boarded. Most shocking of all, the plane was being refueled while passengers were boarding. All in all, pretty appalling. I take budget flights 2-3 times a year and this is the worst experience I've had with budget carriers (including the European budget carriers with dirt cheap fares and sometimes non-existence customer service)."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by more than 1 hour with all the passengers seated in the plane. They didn't need to board the passengers so early."
Pros: "We reached our destination"
Cons: "When researching flights, I really wish AirAsia's procedures were spelled out. Having to pay for each checked bag and each kg over a relatively low allowance was extremely annoying. Even worse, each leg of the flight (due to a layover) required payment. In addition, paying for the seat, paying for peanuts and water?? Probably the worst was the air crew refusing to give a blanket to my freezing fiance without purchasing the pillow, blanket and eye mask bundle. Seriously?? Then towards the end of the flight, the crew walk the aisles holding alcohol and perfume trying to peddle their duty-free products on the plane itself. It was quite evident by this point that the competitve ticket price is a hoax, and all that they are interested in is getting as much money from you as possible. Unless I have no choice, I will never fly this airline again. Please, warn people of these practices BEFORE they purchase the tickets!!"
Cons: "Terrible delay and delay without proper settlement to comfort passenger, that's what we so called budget flight but airasia is the most cheapskate ever."
Pros: "On time flight. Pleasant attendants"
