$165usd for two 20kg (50lbs) bags on a 7hr flight for two passengers is ridiculous! Not being able to get free water on a 7hr flight is crazy! I can under short local flights having all these extra charges but long haul flights like most other carriers shld come With at least 1 free checked bag and at least free water or soft drinks on a flight.

Cost can't be beat, friendly service, reminded me of flights back in the 80's - 90's with no frills. A solid air service that most would find not up to par to their own personal standards. Travelers have been accustomed to getting things as standard over the decades of flying services offered in the past, so not getting them with this airline for free can be frustrating. However, for travelers that are very flexible and don't require much comforts, this airline provides exactly what you need..a cheap flight to your destination.

The scheduled times for departure aren't very flexible, the check-in counter on return flight was extremely long even 3 hours in advance of flight departure, plan accordingly. Passengers can be grumpy because they expect more from the airline, not an airline for most who expect comfort and freebies.

I was able to travel from one place to another.

1. I received one email from AirAsia giving me a confirmation number to my flight. Little did I know that I was supposed to receive a second email with booking number. Therefore, when I got to the Pudong airport, I just didn't have a ticket. I was passed from one person to another without explanation what was going on. Then the person who finally helped me was incredibly rude and even told me to "not say anything" to him when I voiced my complaint. I wasn't allowed to pay by card only cash. 2. The flight was delayed by over an hour and I wasn't allowed to use the toilet for over an hour. 3. The crew were unfriendly and unprofessional. We were waiting to take off for so long I had finished all my water and when they finally came around to give us water, IN THE MIDDLE OF GIVING ME MY WATER the steward decided to chat with another stewardess for a minute. That was the last straw. It was the worst possible flight on top of it being red eye. SO incredibly unprofessional. It's like they purposefully want you to feel bad for choosing a budget airline. And it's not even that budget. I am never going to fly with this airline again.

The booking process was painful and the check in counter almost made me miss my flight as they said my name did not match My reservation. The actual problem is that the Chinese way of naming someone is with the family Name first followed by your first name. I purchase the tickets online as per my name on my passport. To make things worst, MY luggage was mishandled annstheu broke one of the wheels on my suitcase.

Was an ok flight experience. Boarding was smooth and the cabin staff were pleasant.

Not one of my 4 flight legs were on time. The flight I was on was advertised as non stop flight but what is not made clear is the flight has to make a stop for passengers to clear immigration and customs - which is ok but they should make it clear. They also have a wierd policy of not allowing use of phones or tablets even on flight safe mode which if you aren't prepared for makes a boring flight.

Flight boarded a few minutes early and arrived in Honolulu 40 minutes ahead of schedule. I upgraded to the "quiet zone" area which was perfect, very minimal disturbance from the flight crew.

The food was pretty bad. Especially when paying $15 for a meal. The portions were small and the rice was kind of dry. Maybe add a dessert to the meal might be worth the $15 price tag.

We paid for our checked baggage ahead of time but when we checked in they said our payment wasn’t in their system. We ended up having to pay again at the counter and the price was more than double for each bag! 7.5 hr flight and you have to pay for drinks (even water) and meals.

I paid extra to sit at the quiet zone only to be disturbed all night by a crying baby. The stewardess are also not friendly and used fierce tone to ask us to turn off our phones. We ordered food for it to be our breakfast before arrival but the food was served at 1am. When asked if I could eat it later since I am really tired and wanted to rest, the stewardess just hush me to eat it now since later light will be off. It would be better if the food is served as breakfast before arrival.

This flight was 13 hours delay. No any info and undated news from airport and Shenzhen airline. I was sitting in the airport for over 13 hours. NO food was supplied. All customers were desperate and annoyed.

I saw a price on Kayak app on my Iphone. I chose the Kayak price, no other 3rd party. Kayak re-directed me to Flight Network. Purchase the tickets, filled out credit card and all. Got a ticket purchase confirmation. Went to bed to wake up early in the morning to get early flight. Get to the airport, I learned from the airline the tickets were never issued. Called flight network and they tell me the tickets have been canceled because they were not able to secure the advertised price. This is misrepresentation and screwed up my whole trip. If a booking is done, the 3rd party should honor what they sale, even if they mess up. Moreover so that I choose the purchase on kayak option. Will never do it again, lesson learned. Will purchase elsewhere.

We were waiting to take off for so long I had finished all my water and when they finally came around to give us water, IN THE MIDDLE OF GIVING ME MY WATER the steward decided to chat with another stewardess for a minute. That was the last straw. It was the worst possible flight on top of it being red eye. SO incredibly unprofessional. It's like they purposefully want you to feel bad for choosing a budget airline. And it's not even that budget. I am never going to fly with this airline again.

We paid for our checked baggage ahead of time but when we checked in they said our payment wasn’t in their system. We ended up having to pay again at the counter and the price was more than double for each bag! 7.5 hr flight and you have to pay for drinks (even water) and meals.

Flight boarded a few minutes early and arrived in Honolulu 40 minutes ahead of schedule. I upgraded to the "quiet zone" area which was perfect, very minimal disturbance from the flight crew.

The food was pretty bad. Especially when paying $15 for a meal. The portions were small and the rice was kind of dry. Maybe add a dessert to the meal might be worth the $15 price tag.

I paid extra to sit at the quiet zone only to be disturbed all night by a crying baby. The stewardess are also not friendly and used fierce tone to ask us to turn off our phones. We ordered food for it to be our breakfast before arrival but the food was served at 1am. When asked if I could eat it later since I am really tired and wanted to rest, the stewardess just hush me to eat it now since later light will be off. It would be better if the food is served as breakfast before arrival.

I saw a price on Kayak app on my Iphone. I chose the Kayak price, no other 3rd party. Kayak re-directed me to Flight Network. Purchase the tickets, filled out credit card and all. Got a ticket purchase confirmation. Went to bed to wake up early in the morning to get early flight. Get to the airport, I learned from the airline the tickets were never issued. Called flight network and they tell me the tickets have been canceled because they were not able to secure the advertised price. This is misrepresentation and screwed up my whole trip. If a booking is done, the 3rd party should honor what they sale, even if they mess up. Moreover so that I choose the purchase on kayak option. Will never do it again, lesson learned. Will purchase elsewhere.

This flight was 13 hours delay. No any info and undated news from airport and Shenzhen airline. I was sitting in the airport for over 13 hours. NO food was supplied. All customers were desperate and annoyed.

I was able to travel from one place to another.

1. I received one email from AirAsia giving me a confirmation number to my flight. Little did I know that I was supposed to receive a second email with booking number. Therefore, when I got to the Pudong airport, I just didn't have a ticket. I was passed from one person to another without explanation what was going on. Then the person who finally helped me was incredibly rude and even told me to "not say anything" to him when I voiced my complaint. I wasn't allowed to pay by card only cash. 2. The flight was delayed by over an hour and I wasn't allowed to use the toilet for over an hour. 3. The crew were unfriendly and unprofessional. Cost can't be beat, friendly service, reminded me of flights back in the 80's - 90's with no frills. A solid air service that most would find not up to par to their own personal standards. Travelers have been accustomed to getting things as standard over the decades of flying services offered in the past, so not getting them with this airline for free can be frustrating. However, for travelers that are very flexible and don't require much comforts, this airline provides exactly what you need..a cheap flight to your destination.

The scheduled times for departure aren't very flexible, the check-in counter on return flight was extremely long even 3 hours in advance of flight departure, plan accordingly. Passengers can be grumpy because they expect more from the airline, not an airline for most who expect comfort and freebies.
