Very good customer services before, & during flight. I will choose it again in the future.
I was very impressed with this airline. The flight was comfortable the plane was clean and the attendants were very nice. The zipper on my suitcase broke after I checked it. The airline wrapped it in plastic wrap, so it wouldn’t continue to fall apart. Every item I had in the suitcase was there when I got to Los Angeles. That is above and beyond!

Cons: "Apparently the records showed that credit card used did not match with the actual card used. I used my Kayak account to book 7 tickets. My friend used his credit card to pay for all 7 tickets. The records showed that my wife’s credit card was used when in fact my friend’s card was charged."
Cons: "Lounge access for my wife traveling in economy I was in business. Had two passes both in my name got a rude and unprofessional greeting by Vietnam Air staff. This in its self will make my reason to fly Vietnam Airlines the last choice."
Cons: "Was denied entrance fir my wife to the lounge even having two passes both in my name. Was given one in Da Nang however lounge not open at 4:30 AM. My wife was traveling economy I was in business. Nasty reception at the Vietnam Air lounge in Hanoi. The other lounge great not affiliated with Vietnam."
Upgraded to a business class by an auction and it was the cheapest bid.
We were told at check in that my wife and I will be sitting together. We were not. Our mistake was we did not check our seat assignments on the boarding pass until we got on board. At that time there was no solution because the flight was fully booked.

Cons: "Flight 502 from BKK to HKG was changed from Boarding Gate 1 to 3 in Don Muang at a time when the previous flight at Boarding Gate 3 has NOT YET started boarding. A huge crowd from BG1 flooded to BG3 when the flight to Wuhan, China has not yet started boarding. It was 15 minutes before scheduled boarding (15:55) and a long line already formed at BG1. Those in line have to move to BG3 and have to line up all over again. We waited for at least 30 mins before the Wuhan flight finished boarding at BG3. The line was ill-formed and many Chinese tourists pushed their way through disregarding the line. Air Asia should have deferred the announcement of boarding gate change for the HKG flight until the Wuhan flight has completed boarding. This was a poor handling of boarding."
