I like the crew, very friendly. The food was good but the serving was really small. They could’ve added bottled water for each main meal instead of pouring in a small cup.

The lounge was very crowded, very noisy & there was only water to drink & nothing to eat. For 8 hours! The very least should be to supply more seating & a facility where passengers can order coffee/tea & snacks. Also there was only 1 ladies toilet, so always occupied. The lounge Definately needs an urgent upgrade in facilities then I would consider flying Phillipine Aiines again."

Then, after we boarded d at around 1AM, we were advised that the runways were due to close at 1:30 AM and negotiations were underway to extend runway operations so we could take off. We waited on the plane only to later learn that the flight was cancelled and we had to deplane! After more waiting at the gate in the terminal we were to hotels. We went to bed at around 4:45 AM, only to get a wake up call at 7 AM whilst we were not leaving the hotel until 11:00 AM for a 1:30 PM departure! Horrible! We ended up leaving even later, at around 2:30 PM. Throughout, communication from the company was abysmal. Never again Philippine Airlines for me !"

Cons: "Flight delayed for 5 hours - Connection from Manila was going to be very close. Flight attendant assured me multiple times they would hold the connecting plane, and give us an escort off the plane to make it to the other gate as fast as possible. We arrive in Manila, and there is no special escort. They take us at a regular pace to a connections desk in the terminal. They delayed helping us so we missed the only other flight leaving that night for Bali. While the person at the transfer desk was supposed to be helping us get new connecting flights, they would stop helping us, and take care of other people that showed up at the desk. It took them 1 1/2 hours to rebook our flight. They tried to put us on a flight that took over 20 hours with connections for a direct flight we had missed that would take about 4 hours of flying. We had to get on Kayak.com ourselves to find a better connecting flight that left the next morning. After 1 1/2 hours, the attendant finally put on a flight that was similar to the one we found but slightly worse. They said they could not work with certain airlines leaving from Manila, which I did not understand. Then, they proceed to tell us to go wait in the terminal overnight for the flight leaving the next day. We had to directly ask them to give us a hotel room for the night, which they did upon our request, but were not going to offer it without us asking for it. I understand delays and missed flights are part of air travel. But we were routinely lied to, ignored, and flat out pushed aside during the rebooking process. It was a completely unacceptable way to treat a customer. Never fly Philippine Airlines if you can avoid it."

Then they finally came back and said that per their schedule, the first flight out is on ANA is at 6:45, not 7. And the reason why they couldn't find it is because it was only code share ANA but operated by Philippines airlines. As a result I missed my flight, missed my work and had to deal with co sequences. Unacceptable"

My friend (who was on crutches) and I then had to go back and wait in a different line to pay $45 each per backpack. None of this was explained to us and the girl at the front was too busy on her phone looking at Facebook to be helping people. when we finally got through the plane was small, no leg room and I'm only 5'2. Limited meal options which we were charged an extra 30% through a poor exchange rate for, still fairly convinced the staff pocketed that money as it didn't say anywhere that they were going to charge that amount extra. No complimentary drink, not even water. Won't fly air Asia again. Cheap and you get what you pay for, but after that baggage charge there were definitely cheaper, better options out there."
