Make sure the hotel you’re staying at has a shuttle to pick you up from airport. Also be prepared for changes in boarding times. It could mess with your plans. Phu Quoc is beautiful, go visit
Verified travelerFlew with Vietravel AirlinesSGN-BKKMay 2025
Get to the airport at least two hours before boarding, the line through immigration moves at a snail’s pace.

Remember to put your middle name on visas/boarding passes, because details between those and passports have to match exactly.
AndyFlew with Cebu PacificSGN-MNLJul 2024
It’s a night flight, if you do want food buy it before also arrives 2am I stayed in the airport until about 6am no point paying and booking a room at that time as you have to go through immigration etc
WilliamFlew with Cambodia Angkor AirSGN-SAIApr 2024
Leaving Vietnam through customs was longer than we thought based on how short the line was, so give yourself plenty of time. Once on the ground in Cambodia, use the Grab app to book a ride from the airport to Siem Reap. A tuk tuk is cheaper but after more than an hour on that hard seat you’ll wish you’d splurged.

We are row 11, when the crew came to us, only one meal choice was available.

OK seats comfortable, easy boarding/embarking, excellent connection to domestic Malaysia flight with baggage checked through without customs. Catering especially drinks borderline ok luckily less important aspect

Comfortable seats in economy, managed a few hours sleep in an o night flight but the food was terrible. Surprising as Malaysia airlines has been good in the past. Service was mediocre this time too.

Vast improvement needed in customer service. I couldn’t get the drink of my choice during both meals (i.e. sparking water and Diet Coke). I had used plastic cups falling onto me from the tray. No eye contact when they thank you on the way out signalling an insincere thank you.

Jia yung was the flight attendant that made this a miserable flight.

The flight isn’t great, as the plane has faulty with light and noise. It blinks and make noise for 8hrs non stop! Causing health and sensory issues! Causing Hazard matter to all 3 babies that on bassinet seats. This matters affected 12 passengers and the most horrible flight I ever experience. Have been flying with MAS for more 30yrs and this is the worst! Very disappointed

AC not working, just slowly blowing room temperature air. Long taxi time does not help as well. Sweating all over the whole trip.

Did not take as cancelled 3 time so took another airline

It was a 2-hour flight so they didn't have much time for serving food. There was some turbulence so they could not serve hot coffee or tea for the safety reason. Good service, good tasting food, nice plane, a little bit of delay.

The IFE is quite unconvenient if using our own device. Not all passenger brought their own earphone/headphone.

Fast Pass but delay at Check-In Counter. Limited Counter when there are alot of ppls Check-In

We were told that flight was delayed by 20 mins, but it left close to an hour late. But they did make it up and arrived early; it's just very difficult to keep waiting when it's a late flight. Food was mediocre.

The flight has been delayed for nearly an hour, yet neither the captain nor the chief steward made an effort to explain the reason for the delay or offer any apologies to the passengers.

We recently flew with AirAsia and encountered several issues. Our flight was delayed by over an hour, and both boarding and takeoff were postponed without any prior notification. Although we eventually realized there was a delay on our own, the crew did inform us afterward. To make up for lost time, the pilot took off at high speed, resulting in some turbulent moments that were quite scary. Despite these challenges, the cabin crew did an excellent job managing the situation and easing the inconvenience. Overall, while the delays and turbulence made for a stressful experience, I appreciated the crew’s efforts to keep us as comfortable as possible.

I had a wonderful experience with this company. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our pilot was skilled and clearly experienced. The value for the price was excellent. I would definitely recommend them.

Very quick turn around, plane was in good condition, alles paletti.

My flight boarding was interrupted as gate staff said I needed visa in advance for Vietnam....

Instead of landing we had to go around and landed in Kuala Lumpur International Airport instead of Subang. Then we had to restart and arrived over 2.5 hrs late

As usual, poor communication on delays. No info, no updates, no apologies.

Boarding was nuts. Gate change. Delayed. No communication from gate staff. They seemed lost. Rest of the flight went well

Every thing was good except for the airlines kept changing my boarding times but the staff is nice and everything was good.

The price of the ticket was good. No online check-in available. At check-in the staff wanted to see proof of an ongoing flight from Thailand, which I refused to give. (None of their business, IMO. I had to sign a responsibility waiver form.) The luggage was late loading, which meant the departure was late, as was the arrival. The flight was without incident, although the landing was very rough. Luggage delivery to the belt at BKK was very slow. The result of both delays was that the taxi I'd booked was no longer waiting for me. I know they're a new airline, but not a very good experience, in all honesty.

When booking through Kayak, we were redirected to a third party booking site called Kiwi. Apparently we paid the full amount to Kiwi, but they did not pay the airline. When we arrived at the airport, we had to buy tickets again because they said the tickets we booked through Kiwi were cancelled due to non-payment. Beware of Kiwi! We are trying to get them to reimburse the other set of tickets we bought now.

New aircraft, no crying babies :D, on-time departure, professional and good looking air crew :D. Overall I had good experience and great first impression with Vietravel Airlines

Late departure, late arrival, and personal items on laps during takeoff and landing. Departure gate opened on time, but no direction as to whether to board at front or rear of plane based on seat number. Fashionable staff with sunglasses inside the plane and cockpit remained for ten minutes after the boarding complete announcement. For a scheduled 80 minute flight, adjusted to 65 minute as noted on takeoff; the total time on the plane with delays was r more than two hours. No confidence had there been an emergency that anyone would have been able or aware of what to do.

The flight was OK, but you need to warn passengers going to Vietnam that the full first, middle and last name needs to be in the issued visa, At least 5 passengers on that pane did not have that. We all had to pay $298 each to some agent to amend the visa. At least one lady could not and was left behind.

VietJet is a discount airline like EasyJet, Flair or Spirit. I flew 3 flights in 2 weeks and all were Airbus 321's. 2 of the flights left and arrived on time and 1 left and arrived about 45minutes late. Seat pitch in economy is 29" but exit row seats have super-generous leg room. There are no power ports or entertainment of any kind. Food is best purchased on-line before the flight but there is a limited selection available in flight - cash only. The aircraft are clean and the airline is run as well as any other airline that specializes in economy passengers.

Our flight was 3 hours delayed and the airport was hectic as our boarding pass said one gate while the digital screens said another gate. Attendants were clueless and said to watch both! Vietjwt cared more about selling their merch than even providing any water for the 2 hour flight

Cheap flight but more expensive when the airlines demands you pay over 30$ for 1 kilogram overweight ( it is 8,2kg I have for carry on baggage) The flights announcement 2PM, and it departed 4 PM, no announcement for delaying, People says Vietjet is delayJet airlines in their blood.

Vietjet tried to steal extra money from passengers by forcing them to change the name on the ticket that was correctly filled in on an English form online when ticket bought online. I bought the ticket via a foreign website where the language is English, At filling in the passenger's name, it says middle name first, then first name, and last name, That the ticket done and printed. when my wife checked in the staff at the check in counter said that her name was written wrong, she must fill the name in Vietnamese style, writing the Last name first, then middle name, first name comes last, even though her name was not misspelled. At the aiport I asked the Vietjet customer service, if it is written in Vietnamese way, it will be wrong when she travel abroad ? The custom service could not answer. It took over an hour where my wife was thrown like a ball between the check-in counter, to the Vietjet customer service , then to passport control. The cost is 110,000 vnd for change place in vietnamese way, I thought if there are millions of passengers who have done the same mistake, how much money Vietjet raked in every year On the flight, it is not allowed to sit in the empty seats in front or next to me, I sat in the middle in a row where two big men were sitting, I really need to change seats but the crew asked to pay extra to buy the empty seats. It is petty and cruel of Vietjet. There is no other choice than the state-owned airline, then you have no choice but to swallow the bite

Our flight was delayed for about 3hours however the ground crew made it sure that we will not miss our connecting flight from Hanoi to incheon.

If there could be simple free food or snack or some entertainment.

Seat pitch is narrow moreover the agent assigned seat in front of emergency exit window which is not reclined. A terrible 4hr 40min flight from HAN to DPS

Horrible! As an Asian, they look down on their own skin color. Disgusting people and airlines. If you are white, they will worship you
