In the new seat, the entertainment system worked, but the seat didn't recline, and I had to change seats again - from an initially allotted aisle seat, to a middle seat. Also, the food service time was weird - we got a full lunch about an hour before we landed, which didn't make sense, and had to wait almost 5 - 6 hours between brunch and our next meal - a movie snack. Most passengers were famished by the time the lunch was served. Also, why was there no wifi?"

Pros: "It is so far a cut above the American carriers. There’s no way to compare them, because Qatar Airways is so far superior. The seats are far more comfortable and larger, the amount of legroom is far superior, you have much more personal space, and the craft is cleaner. Flight Attendants are fantastic! They provide excellent personal care, and are there for everything. They are supremely polite and courteous, and bring things in mediately. Very often anticipating your needs. This is what flying used to be like on United and American. But those people have completely forgotten what service is. Qatar is a 5 star airline. United and American, to my view, are 2 star at best."

(2) checked in, dropping off bags. Some of us who had checked in online was trying to drop off bags only. After waiting 1.5 hours, this line isn't moving at all, while the checking in line was moving. Tried telling the gentlemen in charge who worked there that the checked in line dropping off bagguage was not moving, he didn't really care, they made all kinds of excuses saying other people were waiting, so they were completely clueless as to what was going on. I have never experienced this ever and I fly massively each year. First and last time in Etihad. JFK to Abu Dhabi is a good 13 hour flight. NO SNACKS. SG/BA, or any other airline really has nice sandwishes, ramen, chocolate, cookies, chips. Etihad has NOTHING. Not that I snack but still with a 13 to 14 hour flight, airlines should have something to eat during long flights. Really. Etihad who brands and advertises brilliantly, was extremely disppointing to actually be on the flight."

The ones that Ethiad give you are super low quality. - Screen resolution on those screens is really bad, you can view every pixel on the screen and brightness doesn't go all the way up either."

The male crew member did not want to be there. He grunted at the passengers. He was annoyed and when clearing food trays dropped it and aI wore custard all over me and the armrest of my seat. Fortunately I had a blanket covering me so it all landed on that. He was more upset that it also splattered him."

The business class lounge was nice but needs a quiet area where people who have long layovers (like us) can lay down and have a darkened room for a bit of rest."

The pillows are way too big and hard. I recommend paring them down the size they currently are. I was in seat 7-E. But not really a big problem as we did get on the plane with no problem."

Pros: "BA couldn't get our boarding passes to work no matter how many times they printed out new ones and we had to land into proper arrivals (though we were in transit in Heathrow) and tell five different groups of staff what was going on, even though it wasn't our problem but their computer glitch. One man at security was even rude to me, telling me not to just stand there. ( I had been told to stand there whilst they went and tried to remedy for the umpteenth time). When I showed him my disabled badge and said I would personally prefer NOT to be left standing for hours, he said 'so?'. It was a nightmare. It took hours and still wasn't sorted and in the end the immigration officers had to be called to the boarding area to allow us on the flight with non functioning boarding cards. It wasn't even our fault. REally upset about it."

Cons: "(1) Some in-flight entertainment issues which meant it wasn't working for about 30minites. (2) I know the crew have a hard job and have many difficult passengers to deal with. Even so I do find there's a bit too much "attitude" shown by some members of staff. On my flight to London, a mother with a young child wanted hot water and the staff (middle aged British male) was trying to tell her repeatedly she should say "please" when she asks. She was asking politely so this behaviour was rather poor in my view."

Cons: "None of them reminded me of the fact that I need a transit visa for the UK (I mean, isn't it rediculous? I am just staying there for 5 hours). When I called in for cancellation at the airline, they told me to talk to my agent company Cheaptickets. Cheaptickets simply told me that I can't get any money back, and was extremely arrogant and impatient. Later (for a week I was trying to save this ticket by talking to the British Embassy to see if I can get the visa done and they are just "we can't help you") they told me that I can get a refund of like 30 SGD and they promised to send me an e-mail about it. They never ever did. I also tried to change the dates and the handling fee + fair difference was like 1200 SGD (are you joking?) they simply told me, prices fluctuate... Finally I went to the check in counter desperate. The staff even refused to talk to me about my situation because simply, "there is no BA ticket office in Singapore" and told me to call them. I said the office is closed, but they are like, yeah just call them. They swept me off like a moron. Extremely arrogant, impatient, insensitive. I paid 900 SGD for nothing and a whole week of anxiety and regret. I will never take this and I will never use Cheaptickets or Kayak"

Pros: "I was travelling alone with a baby and a toddler and found most of the staff very helpful - stowing my bags, helping to carry my buggy, helping with seat belts etc."
Cons: "A member of staff at the gate referred to my 2 year old daughter as "a difficult child" to another member of staff because she didn't like having her photo taken. I felt it was very rude and unfair, particularly as I had to lift her to an awkward height (whilst also holding a baby) as the camera was in a fixed position. It was clear the staff member didn't have children herself!"

Pros: "I received an email cancelling the flight before I left home."
Cons: "Last minute cancellation of the flight by BA meant I was unable to attend the event I was booked on. Have found service has definitely declined on recent BA flights I've travelled on. Check in staff are good though."

Pros: "Staff are excellent, really friendly, respectful service. Food (expensive as always on planes) but excellent quality, really good choice to use M&S as providers. Excellent communication from pilot and cabin staff on delays before takeoff."
Cons: "System for paying by food with Avios points did not work. Plane left almost an hour late due to delays (landed 30 mins late)."

Pros: "Decent seat pitch on the relatively new a320 configuration. Lost my bag for a weekend trip, unapologetic ground handling staff, waited 90 mins to report it and no gesture of goodwill to remedy the situation."

Pros: "Once we took off, all went very well!"
Cons: "Disappointed that paperwork issues caused a 2hr delay. the captain kept assuring a take off in "10mins" again and again which got rather annoying after a while!"

Cons: "Delayed because crew couldn't show up on time.. Used an old chartered plane that is small so told everyone to check in hand luggage, uncomfortable seats and they generally just don't care!"

Pros: "love the new screens on that 747. Bigger and easier to use. And still going while the plane lands. I watched the end of my movie just as we touched down. Premium economy seats are very comfortable Take off was on time, landing was 10 mins late. The queue for passport control was not so nice though. It took 95 minutes!"
Cons: "The crew serving my section was a bit dipsy. Promised to find a cheese sandwhich as her trolley ran out and just never brought me any. As for the classic beef or chicken, she ran out of that too and just said here is your beef."

Pros: "BA MUCH BETTER THAN AA"

Pros: "Quick and easy boarding, no extra charge for emergency exit seat, snack and drinks included, modern interior, on time departure and early arrival."
Cons: "People abusing the free drinks and the crew supplying them with them."

Cons: "The only issue we had with our travels in London had to do with the Heathrow Intl Airport. We were unaware that we would be required to go through security again. This held us up and almost made us miss our connecting flight."

Pros: "I bought this flight last minute to surprise a family member for his 60th birthday – a very long trip to make for just a weekend. British made it much more comfortable though. The food was actually tasty, I might even say, and the flight attendants were very pleasant. Lovely to see that they're still flying the 747 – those big birds are disappearing too fast."
Cons: "In economy, there are still no A/C power outlets! Come on!"

Cons: "It took ages to get everyone to board. Arrived in Amsterdam almost an hour later. BA need to either speed up the boarding process or allow earlier boarding time."

Cons: "Couldn't book my seats 24 hours ahead. Couldn't book my seat on check-in for 2nd flight. Put in middle seat for 1st flight. Put on standby for 2nd flight. Very stressful"

Pros: "Only scraped a two as was enough movies to watch."

Pros: "he check-in crew, the flight crew, all were fantastic. The food was delicious. US flights would have been lucky to offer peanuts...literally."
Cons: "The spacing between seats was a bit small but, the flight attendant offered the exit row once the plane completed boarding."

Pros: "For a reasonably priced flight the comfort and free drink/snack were above average and very much appreciated."
Cons: "BA's online check in let them down though; the server kept crashing. They also wanted to charge £15 to pick one's seat, even at point of check in, a tacky ploy to pad profits. Forgiven on this instance as the flight was only 50 min, but would make me think twice for any longer distances."

Pros: "The seats were quite roomy and very comfortable. The flat bed with cozy duvet was great for actually getting some sleep during such a long flight. The amenity kit with Aromatherapy products was also really nice and I liked that they had separate kits for men and women."
Cons: "I was surprised that the crew didn't offer water proactively as I'm used to that on all long haul flights. I had to go ask several times for water. The meal services seemed quite slow and protracted as well."
