Located in the Entertainment District, Shangri-La Toronto is close to the shops on Queen Street West, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and the Financial District. If you’re looking for a restful stay with resort-style amenities, look no further than Hotel X Toronto by Library Hotel Collection. The property on the waterfront of Lake Ontario offers 404 spacious rooms, a Guerlain spa, a rooftop swimming pool, and a 90,000-square-foot athletic center.
Among its stand-out facilities are four tennis courts, eight squash courts, a Topgolf Swing Suite, a movie screening room, and a play center for kids. Beyond the property, you’ll find stunning lakefront parks and trails (including my personal favorite, Trillium Park). While you’re a bit further away from downtown than other luxury hotels, the property’s Tesla house cars will shuttle you anywhere within a three-mile radius.
With so much to do on-site, you’ll likely spend most of your time chilling by the pool, indulging in spa treatments, and enjoying endless waterfront views.

The brainchild of Toronto’s nightlife king, Charles Khabouth, Bisha Hotel Toronto offers Instagram-worthy rooms, bold restaurants, and edgy art-filled communal spaces. The interiors feature a mix of textures and 1970s-inspired touches like crushed velvet, geometric carpets, lacquered wood, and black marble.
And for design lovers looking to kick it up a notch, there’s an entire floor with suites designed by musician Lenny Kravitz. As one of Canada’s grand railway hotels, Fairmont Royal York has been a Toronto landmark ever since it opened in 1929. The lobby and ballrooms still ooze old-school glamour, with sparkling chandeliers and hand-painted ceilings. Located on Front Street, near Union Station and the Financial District, the hotel is ideal for business travelers.
Staying in the Fairmont Gold rooms and suites will grant you more amenities like high-speed internet and luxury walk-in showers. My favorite perk is the exclusive access to the Fairmont Gold lounge on the 18th floor, which is great for working remotely.
