Barcelona hotels near Museu Frederic Marès

Cons: Three computers were provided, but i couldn't get into my Verizon webmail, no matter how often i tried. On the other hand, two of the three internet cafes i tried couldn't connect me either. The hotel is a little out of the way, but in defense, that meant it was a quiet neighborhood. This is a minor quibble.

Cons: Great location. Staff went out of their way to make things extra special. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Barcelona.

Cons: Very firm mattress.

Cons: Staff on front desk a mix of effectiveness from excellent to bad. Some of the younger personnel on front desk clearly not happpy working in the hotel trade.

Cons: Dated Decor. The room while spacious and comfortable has not been updated since the 80s (the the bathroom was renovated). It appears some rooms are renovated while others have yet to get the treatment.

Cons: The internet was intermittent, at best. The room was warm and unable to cool since the air conditioning was not available and opeining the windows unveiled a noisy street beneath.

Cons: Next to a church where the bells chimed every hour -- through the night! Room was old and tired with peeling paint and smell

Cons: Harsh aesthetic. Low loght in bathroom.

Cons: See through shower walls, so no privacy when sharing a room. Also, the Sky bar (the only bar in the hotel) was closed the whole time, except Tuesday afternoon. The pool hours could have been longer also.

Cons: It isn't near tourist destinations. But it's not extremely far. A short taxi ride will get you to a anything.

Cons: hotel should be mostly for gays. There were many straight couples, guess they did not know they arrived in a gay hotel. looks like too many straights for the gay community, to many gays for the straight guests. I am gay but this time the mix was not good. Check in lasted forever, they write you a guest pass by hand, it takes forever... worst check in in my life. Hotel was not able to provide service to print out my online boarding pass.. what a shame. I did not feel anything of the original gay concept, I felt they just sold out the hotel to anybody just to make money ( whats ok), but this was not my axel hotel from some years ago. It was just a very busy hotel and not sure if the value for the hotel was very good this time. Just my opinion.

Cons: Rooms smelled of cigarette smoke.

Cons: Got a good rate online for a Premium Deluxe room. It was nothing special - not premium or deluxe by my standards - very basic. When we arrived, needed to use the toilet facilities - no toilet paper in the large one on the 1st floor - went to dining room to inquire for paper or another facility to use. Was given napkins for the restaurant to use.

Cons: Beds were small but that's normal in Spain

Cons: Room 307 - Phone did not work and did not get morning call. Then it took the front desk staff for ever to get a replacement. Then on Monday the 9th the front desk person forgot to wake me up because 'he was too busy and forgot' even though request was made the night before and it was written on the wake up calls listing. It ruined two half day trips I had planned for the day; had to cancel them. Bed matrass was too hard and made it uncomfortable to sleep.. The rooms with balcony and street view was fine but the other ones with interior view were too dark and depressing.

Cons: The furniture needs pads to buffer the vibrations from being moved. So much noise from above during siesta

Cons: Small room and bed without carpeted floors.

Cons: Windows are thin and we got no sleep. People were out on the street all night and the walls were so thin it was like they were in the room with us. The amenities were minimal and the beds were uncomfortable and it looked like the comforters were rarely washed and changed.
