What is the nicest in the Casa Dover is the hostel atmosphere, service and location. This is a pair of flats located in a nice old building in the first half of the twentieth century. The hotel staff was very nice:) Everything was OK
flexibility, interior design, cleaness noise on the street - hard to have a good night sleep
Very nice staff, modern and elegant rooms, convenient location, agreeable atmosphere. Friendly Bed and Breakfast-like concept with very competitive pricing. Room II receives quite some noise from both the street, the nearby bar, and the common space in the hotel. Although this is a common issue in (Spanish) cities, this room is not recommended for light sleepers.
The manager (Christian)was excellent and went the extra mile to ensure the stay was great - suggesting places to eat, giving advice and taking good care of guests. None
The manager is pretty helpful and I like the opportunity to meet and talk with other guests while having breakfast. Availability if wi fi was super cool (although connection is a little on and off). Nicely decorated. The facility is a little poor. No hair dryer, no basic soap and shampoos (although luckily we brought our own), and probably just a small TV will be nice. This is the only place we stayed during all our travellings that does not hv the basics, and we stayed already in hotels, B&B, rental apartment, etc.. The price we paid here is about the same as the price to 3 star boutique hotel in the same area. So if casa dover could add a little more attention to these little details I am sure they will be lovely!
full use of well stocked kitchen 24 hours. really difficult to find and access
This charming facility is a gem in Barcelona. We like the atmosphere which is cosy and comfortable. The design of the hotel is stylish and outstanding. And the person in charge Adom is both receptive and informative. He was always helpful and willing to go an extra mile The overall experience was fabulous. I would definitely refer anyone to come here. Good job Casa Dover. Nothing. The only thing I can think of is the noise form the street in the morning. But hey Barcelona is a big city. and this is not unusual for a big city. i can totally take that.
It's location and home comfort are the best ways of Casa Dover
Lovely clean and friendly hotel. Central position but not too close to the crowds. In fact the walk from the hotel to the central attractions took you through all the main streets you would want to walk down anyway. Loved everything, the only small point was that the Hotel wasn't well signed so was a little difficult to find.
Fantastic location, very close to la Sagrada Familia cathedral. We stayed in a the double room with private bathroom and shared terrace. The room was very cosy and beautifully presented, shower was powerful and hot.The staff were incredibly friendly and could not do enough to help us during our stay. We loved the communal areas where we could eat breakfast or watch the TV on the comfy sofas after a long day sightseeing. Would definitely stay again. Would have preferred to have breakfast a little earlier. It was served at 9am each day which meant we couldn't start our day as early as we would have liked.
Lovely B & B centrally located 10 minute walk from Gothic quarter, central plaza, with excellent restaurants and other attractions in the area. This property is a 7 room B & B with friendly and efficient staff. The rooms somewhat small are very clean. no major disappointments with this well run and efficient B & B with ample breakfast continental style and lovely outdoor courtyard off dining area. Definitely better than 2 stars.
Character and Location.
Very convenient location in the city, which means it can be a bit loud during the day. Sleeping was not a problem. Decor was very nice and breakfast was great! slightly noisy because of central location in city and rooms all on the 2nd floor.
Breakfast was good, Internet was good This is not a 5 star hotel. We had to move rooms because the sewage smell was so bad. It was hard to find the enterance. You could hear everybody else's conversation so we felt like we had to whisper all the time. You can feel the metro trains rumble.
My suite was very spacious (huge compared to most European hotels). The room was quiet, and the staff was friendly. And the best part about the location was that it was close to public transportation and there were usually cabs waiting out front. The hot water took a while to heat up in the shower each morning, and it was awkward not having a traditional front-desk receptionist. The breakfast was kind of nonexistent, so don't let that factor into your decision too much.
