Helpful staff. Nice pool. Refurbished but not done well. Motel not a hotel.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was not fully renovated. Back window screen was busted and falling out and was full of cobwebs that look like they'd been there for months. Found spiders 3 seperate times, once in the bed. Also because the windows/screen were not replaced the room was noisy and this specific room had a light shining in the window that was so bright it looked like a spotlight was being shined directly into the room (i imagine not an issue in most rooms). I would avoid this hotel until it is fully renovated and even then cautiously because it is VERY obvious this is an OLD hotel.
We got there, slept, and left. It was really good for sleeping in and leaving from. The TV didn't have an HDMI port so we couldn't Chromecast movie musicals to it. It made me cry almost as hard as the movie musicals would have.
I had to flush the toilet four or five times before it worked properly. I generally like Super 8, and the room looked good, but I can't say I recommend this motel. The Shower water seemed to have only two settings: cold and scalding hot (though after several minutes of tiny, careful turns of the knob, I finally managed to get a decent temperature). The room was clean but for a few small, black spots on wallpaper in the bathroom. The lights mysteriously went out when pushing bed against wall, but returned when I pulled the bed out again. It was somewhat noisy, as such motels tend to be (luckily I had earplugs, so no problem).
Location No continental breakfast
The Inn was on walking distance from cosy Old Town and the Old Town Trolley station. The rooms were spacious and adequately clean. The lack of heating in November when night time temperatures drop to about 10°C was rather uncomfortable. Nobody likes waking up in a cold room. Upon repeated requests the staff finally managed to put the heating system on. Unfortunately the heating system had a tendency to set the activate the fire detector.
The rooms were clean and parking was easy. The lady at the front desk was really nice and polite. The room was connected to another.
Location, friendly staff, easy check in. Hard floors very dirty- didn't want to walk barefoot. Beds SO uncomfortable. Elevator and hallways smelly. VERY shady looking clientele- people who were clearly on drugs or homeless. One of the doors to the building didn't lock so anyone could walk in. Buildings located on property in such s way that people could easily hide. Did NOT feel safe walking around alone or at night. Safest place felt in the room. Room wasn't comfortable enough thigh due to dirty floors and very uncomfortable bed. Just didn't feel comfortable sitting down on anything in the room.
It is a perfect spot near the beach, plenty of shops, dining within walking distance. People are laid back, friendly, welcoming. Beds are comfortable. Staff is amazing!!! Courtyard is beautiful! Well worth the $$$$. The improvements are a work in process. Can tell that they are gradual which is good as it keeps the prices realistic. Thank you for keeping character and charm! It is a true beach hotel that fits well with the area.
Literally steps from the beach. Very friendly staff. Beautiful courtyard Room smelled like a public restroom, room cleanliness was questionable at best. Dustbunnies hanging from the ceiling, splatters on the ceiling and walls in bathroom- definitely did not feel comfortable. Very small/old rooms. Especially considering the price. Location is great proximity to the beach but the area is packed with homeless people. Did not feel safe walking around even during the day time.
The rooms were clean. The fact that it was in the middle of everything was very convenient. There wasn't enough parking for everyone there. I had to park on the street both nights I was there. There wasn't an ice or vending machine of any kind.
The room was was quite new and very clean. Bed was firm but supportive and sheets were upscale. Overall very comfortable room. There are only 6 parking spots for 18 rooms otherwise you have to park on the street. No ice machine, no pen or paper in room and no lamps on the end tables next to bed.
Great price and value, convenience of location, very friendly and helpful staff. No shampoo, conditioner, and lotion like most hotels, but this is minor given the great price.
Nothing! I've seen homeless shelters far nicer. Run down, noisy and dirty! I had it booked for 5 nights, had to leave after the first 12 hours, nasty place!
Other guests seem higher class then nearby hotels. Working or busy people that come back at night. No partying drinking weed tinsel with.
Bed was comfortable Old building, nude businesses nearby
The room was actually very beautiful. Super clean and up to date with everything. Location was convenient with a 7/11 and few Asian restaurant within walking distance as well as other locations driving distance. Overall very happy and will be staying here again. Some creepy hobos lurking around the area made it scary to leave at night for snacks and such being women.
Facilities were in working order. Staff friendly. Free working high speed wifi. No issues with parking. Always had a spot. Relatively close to the beach or Seaworld. Beds were clean. They have an elevator for Jose who need it. It helped with beach coolers. Good water pressure. Decent breakfast served daily. Just what you need. Nothing more. The building is showing its age. Lots of poorly executed patch jobs on the walls and floors. Feels cheap. You could hear banging through the walls most of the night. Thin walls. We had a roach crawling on the wall before check out. We killed it and left it for the crew. Our room window looked out to the elevator door, no view at all. The hotel has no view of anything, but car dealerships and a Holiday Inn. Just expect that. Really no big complaints here. Just honest feedback.
If you're looking for fancy it's not for you, but if you need a clean place to stay near the airport it's great. All the staff we met were really nice. I was traveling with my daughter and just needed a place to sleep and refresh close to the airport and amtrak while we went sightseeing and it worked great, just a short uber ride from the public transport. I felt safe and the shower pressure was great with plenty hot water. The room was pretty small and the building is old but I expected that from the reviews; I think it's a great value for the price paid compared to other hotels in the area.
Front desk manager was kind, thoughtful and fair. The physical condition is not suitable for anyone looking for a room using an online hotel search site. We booked it because of a very (very) misleading review score of 4.5/5 on a major hotels website... admittedly by only a few reviewers. Fortunately, we did not pay in advance through the website, which we will not be using again. The front desk manager (and possible owner), was fair, thoughtful and willing to cancel our reservation as soon as we looked at the room. I don't want to be disrespectful in any way, so I would just say that it is inappropriate for singles, couples or families that have any other options. At an advertised cost of $140 per night and a score of 4.5, it was hard not to be shocked upon arrival.
LOCATION, comfortable bed, easy parking, clean room, value, ease of check in We stayed on the bottom floor and we where able to hear the people above us walking around, the bathroom was really small, room decor was dated
The location was the only good quality about this hotel. We were put in a room that had a roach problem, it was disgusting. When I complained to the front desk he did absolutely nothing to compensate me for having to stay in a filthy room. This should be a hotel listed for one night stands, not for a couple wanting to stay waterfront. I will never stay here again.
