Great geographic location Fee parking for the car Fitting out of the hotel entry not indicated on website. Worse soundproofing of the room windows.
soft and comfirtable bed You have to pay for everything such as internet, phone calls, TV, etc. Service was poor. Prices are relatively much higher than other similar hotels.
very comfortable bed and soft sheets front door was not working so had to use side door
The hotel was pretty fine, clean and with good style. Very close to the center. The room was big enought for all family. We didn't got any breakfast at hotel, but during the boat cruise, the stop is very close to the hotel. Miss the boiler for have some tea in the room. The remote control of TV almost died.
Location and staff Internet services not included in package
good location, great comfortable beds and nice gym and sauna area
Nothing !!! Center of Amsterdam
location There internet.
hotel staff and clean the Spa
central position for visiting amsterdam Impersonal feeling with pseudo design furniture
A truly spectacular property, beautifully fitted, with attentive, friendly but not overly intrusive staff. Amsterdam is a great place to visit; this hotel is almost reason enough on its own. I stayed there twice on the same trip. The first time we upgraded to a suite, and it was beautiful, really a place to relax in and feet at home. The second stay I was alone and had a regular room. It was tiny, but entirely functional. Both rooms were street facing with large windows. The bar is lovely, as well. Be sure to try one (or two or three) of their great gin and tonics. It is rather pricey, but you do get what you pay for.
The location is perfect. We recieved a warm welcome upon arrival, and was please try suprised at the accomodations. The bed was very comfortable, view perfect, and the room size would meet or exceed any standards. Literally the best location for a brief walk to vo delpark, museums, de hallen, red light district, and tram stops. There is no pool, but for us we didn't care. The lobby was warm, as is standard in most of holland, but rooms are well air conditioned.
- Proximity to Amsterdam's famous museums - Comfort of the bed - Size of the bathroom (we got a handicapped room) - Availability of luxurious toiletries - Clean, well-kept rooms - Friendly staff - DELICIOUS hot chocolate - Free, reliable wifi - Room itself was a little small - Cleaning staff arrived at 8am
Close te citycenter Bed en cushions to soft. Bad smell
Next door to museums and across the street from canal, cruises and casino Very helpful and professional staff and excellent restaurant on site (MOMO). Clean, well appointed room of adequate size. Highly recommend Road traffic could be heard but not a significant negative
From a tourist perspective the location of this hotel is very good indeed, it is just metres from the great galleries and Vondel Park, and close to Jordaan. The #197 trolley bus around the corner opposite the Van Gogh museum takes you to Schiphol in 30 minutes for 5 euro (pay as you get on), every 1/4 hour, and trams #2 and #5 take you to the main railway station. Despite being on the relatively busy Stadhoudekade street, the hotel is quiet. The rooms are clean, very comfortable, slightly but not overly cramped, idiosyncratic in design, with air conditioning that works. The staff are intelligently helpful, switched on, and very pleasant. I think that is a Dutch thing anyway. I took the 'with breakfast' option. I recommend it. All this comes in at about $210/night per room including taxes. There are plenty of cheaper places around but if you are in Amsterdam for a couple of days and want a faultless, quiet, reliable, central place to stay, this is a good candidate to consider, and worth the money if you have it. The only thing that I wasn't keen on was the Momo restaurant that is attached to the hotel. It is a Sushi only restaurant, so if Sushi is not what you want, too bad. We ate there one evening and while the Sushi itself was no doubt excellent, it was expensive for what it was - as in my opinion Sushi tends to be. If you like a rank of chefs attending minutely to each bite, and lots of pretty waitresses regularly asking if you need anything, or don't really mind about the cost, that's fine, enjoy it and pony up liberally at the end. Otherwise, don't come to this place too hungry, or with kids, this one is for the up-market purists. There are better places nearby, serving quality food of other types for quite a lot less.
Staff at reception and night porters were very helpful and friendly. The 'living room' area is well designed to be modern yet comfortable, the range of books available to look at was excellent. The location is excellent - Leidseplein is a stone's throw away and there are lots of really great places to eat. The Museums are also just around the corner, and tramlines are a 5 minute walk away. Sometimes we had to wait quite a while for our presence to be acknowledged and orders taken in the 'living room'. Also, a couple of times staff entered our room after hardly knocking or giving us time to reply! I think the rates are quite expensive when you consider that they do not include breakfast and the charge for web access is huge!
Location is great. Clean Standard rooms are a bit small but great for a couple. Staff is very professional. Concierge is great with recommendations
MOMO I was not happy at all with the bed and I ended sleeping on the floor because the matress was really bad.I paid 160 € and I think the bed should be comfortable.I was not happy with the answer of your staff saying that the bed for standard rooms.I was that close to go down to the reception with the matress to show it to all.
Location and staff were great. Breakfast although pricey was huge! Very decent! Very clean and comfy bed. Room was modern although the "non-divided"/private bathroom may be an issue to non-couples. Some of the toiletries where empty.
Cleaning staff was nice. Water leaked from my ceiling onto me in the middle of the night. managenent was totally unhelpful.
The location was excellent for visiting the Museums and good selection of cafes and restaurants nearby. Canal boat trips right outside hotel entrance. The room was cramped and somewhat claustrophobic. The cost of the room was far too expensive for the size and no breakfast included.
The rooms were small but well appointed. The staff was friendly. Best of all the location is away from the tourist craziness yet near many attractions and a great place to begin exploring on bicycle. The wine in the room was disappointing in quality and price.
The location is perfect - in a quiet but very central place. Free wifi in the room for no extra charge. The staff is helpful and efficient, without bothering you.
Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of foods. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. I especially liked the good location to the museums and the friendly staff. Thank you for a nice stay. It was a little difficult to move easily between the bed and desk in room # 305.
Friendly hotel staff and clean rooms. Good location. Small Room
the hotel is walking distance from the museum area and the main shopping street the room was not insulated well, no double window so it was a little bit cold
location, services, cleanliness,
Lovely area, lovely hotel in charming old buildings, however with modern conveniences, large bedroom, excellent, helpfull staff. Beautiful fresh flowers in the common areas and in the bedroom. Everything perfect...
Location near to the fashion and museum district. Quiet street the room was a little hot during the night
The location, the facility and room, and the staff. All was wonderful. I hope to go back. The hotel was busy and our room was upgraded to a superior room. It was very nice. It was too short!
they confused me with another guest and gave me key to his room
convenience to Amsterdam attractions Our room was a little small
price, service halls were not too clean
Location is great and the staff is also good The water from the shower wets all bathroom
Small but cosy room, great location, new and stylish bathroom, free wi-fi in the room! Room was quite noisy, could hear toilet flush and people of other rooms above or next to my room.
Location and price. Traffic noise on the road and price of Breakfast
Value for money for the location of the hotel
Good price for the location. Funny thing happened: after checkin, we discovered there was already someone in our room, so they should call it Best Western Apollo Quantum Booking Musemuhotel at least. Of course, we got another room, and the verbal guarantee that "maybe" it will be only us in that room.
Very clean and close to museums.
The breakfast was good, the location was close to all the major museums The staff was very rude and not helpful
noisy room facing the street. A/C not working properly
Locallity Bar closes to early and check out can be abrupt
For European standards, it was very spacious and was the best hotel I have stayed at for under $150 Euros. Great value, good location and I would stay there again. Hotel room did not have dresser or microwave. (Microwave was available if you go down stairs).
Very nice hotel, well situated nearby a tram stop. Big, clean and comfortable rooms (very quiet). Excellent breakfast, though rather expensive (as was the hotel itself). Would definitely stay there again if my budget allows it ......
Very nice location, only one block from the nearest tram line, very easy to get around the city. The rooms were also very large with plenty of room and a canal view. The breakfast was very expensive and the bed was not as nice as most NH hotel beds tend to be.
1) early check-in because I needed to sleep after trans Atlantic flight 2) location breakfast was not included in the price of the room
A nice hotel with large rooms, good staff and a great location for the Museum Quarter. The hotel is also fully accessible for a disabled solo traveler. As a wheelchair user, it was inconvenient to have to ask each day for the towels to be left down.
Location was good It was very dirty and smelly. The room had not been properly cleaned- it was dusty, the bathroom was mouldy and there was garbage under our bed. There was a mouldy, musky smell in the entire hotel, from the 2nd floor and above. We paid quite a bit of money to stay in this "4 star" hotel, but the hotel was no more than a 2 1/2 star in my opinion. I would note recommend staying here.
The hotel is very well located: just around the corner fr The Van Gogh museum and the Rijks, which were two of my favorites. the staff was very friendly as well. I would definitely stay there again.
Warm friendly atmosphere. A little far from the center and the action of leidesplein.
Everything in Amsterdam was expensive considering I was using the American dollar which doen't seem to be worth much. The hotel was in a good location for walking to tourist attractions. The only complaint I had was the smoking in the hotel lobby and bar but I guess there are no restrictions in Amsterdam.
panorama view through glass wall of my room on the 6th floor to trdational Amsterdam houses and chanel. The disctrict is really quiet. The hotel is located very close to Van Gogh museum, my favorite place in Holland it takes almost 1 hour to get the hotel afoot from Central station. You need take a taxi
Location + comfort
Size of room is excellent for location relative to city center. Property has good ammenties.
Cleanliness, location, friendly staff. Hotel pub nice feature Austerity of rooms. Comfortable but basic. This is not a complaint. I appreciated the value for dollar spent.
Location is good and away from noise and crowds. Basic and small rooms. Very helpful staff. Very good price. Heating was not enough for the room. There was a weird smell when we first entered the room.
Rooms are too smal to breath.
The staff were very helpful and the Hotel is in a great location for the sorts of things we wanted t do and see. The double bed room was alot smaller than we thought it would be.
Friendly staff, clean room, plenty of space (but we were staying with 2 people in a family room for 4) We had to pay to use the locker.
Friendly Staff Small room, noisy at night, disturbed sleep expensive
Friendly staff, excellent location The mattresses were too firm for me - the bed was not comfortable
The hotel was really nice, breakfast OK. Good location. We did not like the beds. Quite short + not too comfortable.
Very clean and tidy. Location very close to museums and out of the dodgy part of Amsterdam. Convenient transport. Helpful staff. Generous breakfast. Very small rooms, bathroom extremely small. 3 of us managed to bump our heads on the television shelf which was close to the bed. Some noisy residents. Scary lift and very steep stairs with dodgy old handrails (I got a splinter). Not much choice at breakfast.
Well located across the road fom Rijksmuseum. The room was small and a little shabby, but clean.
the staff was very friendly and helpful
The hotel was simple and basic and priced very fair. My single room was tiny and had a little single bed, but it was what I expected for a low price. Since I was traveling alone and spent very little time in my room all I cared about was that the room seemed safe and clean; it was definitely both of those. The employees were all very friendly and polite as well!
Location. Parking. Hotel advertises that they have "parking permits"; but they don't. You park on the street for 36 Euros/day.
Convenient location, staff and facilities available for wide range of hours. Staff friendly and helpful.
Great location on a quiet street. We will go back another time.
Perfect location, excellent staff, good value for money. room was close to elevator so a bit noisy in the morning if you want to sleep longer.
The staff was the best, very friendly & helpful! My 7 year old daughter loved the sitting area of the lobby too. The location is great!
Very convenient to museums. Also close to Leidseplein for entertainment, dining and transportation. Althought the breakfast and lounge areas were nicely appointed the decor in hallways and rooms is rather stale (though in good condition).
Very friendly staff, lovely welcome and room was ready at 11.30am which after an early morning flight was great. Couldnt have wished for better - very clean, room excellent, lovely breakfast selection, fantastic location for sightseeing.
The staff are very friendly It's ideally situated for my work Other noisy, ignorant guests - nothing that the hotel can do about that!
The location is good, very nice environment. Hotel staffs were helpful. The room I stayed was a little bit too small and on the attic. There was't enough lighting from the elevator to the room.
Staff very helpfull, rooms spotless and breakfast good.
Situated right by many museums and attractions. Mass transportation close by or easy walk to other points of interest in city. Many restaurants and stores nearby. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Very quaint hotel. Beds are very soft. Parking on street nearby over 36Euro per day, but can use P&R for 6Euro a day and receive free transportation ticket back to hotel. We used the Olympic stadium P&R. Breakfast was sufficient but missed fresh fruit.
FRiendly and clean. Good position to walk to the main attractions.
Location was excellent.
We didn´t have to go very far to come to The Rikjsmuseum or The Van Gogh Museum and the Tram had a stop very near to the Hotel. The Hotel was little but very cosy. No.
Location id perfect; the breakfast is a bonus; and the staff are terriffic The room was very small, but I suppose this is to be expected
The hotel is very well located and the staff is friendly and helpful on suggestions and indications.
1. It is only 1 block away from the Museumplein or all of the most popular museums of Amsterdam. 2. If in town for convention at RAI, tram 12, which takes you to within 5-7 minutes walking distance to RAI, is a very short walk away. 3. Has a supermarket close by. Saves on food cost. 4. Trams 2 or 5 takes you right into the "action" from the center of town to the main train station. 5. Breakfast comes with room rate. 6. Very friendly owner and staff. Despite the renovations, they kept all guests feeling very comfortable. 7. Small but clean and comfortable rooms. 8. Only a 15 room hotel, so, there are chances to meet and get to know fellow guests. Not as many dinning choices or "action" around. Need to take the tram, bike or a longer walk to reach the crowd, but, it is not any big negative. A little dusty here and there, but it is understandable since they were renovating the hotel during my visit.
Family very welcoming and helpful - very spacious apartment with all modern facilities, giving options to chill or go out on the town - excellent location, in walking distance of all attractions of the city.
The location , quality of accommodation, helpfulness and kindness of the owners and family actually a delightful place to stay One gentle suggestion would be an extra bed for child included in price
a very good location and owner very hospitable and helpful. Would stay there again. We would like to have known in advance in order to take the cash that this B&B doesn't accept credit cards or cheques, not at all a problem but it would be easier to have known beforehand.
This beautiful B&B is at a great location in Amsterdam!! Easy walking to all kinds of sight seeing and right at the Vondelpark entrance & the super PC Hooftstraat shopping street. The owners are wonderful people, we had an excellent stay and surely will come back!
great location close to the centre
location and cleanliness Breakfast could be improved and for the prize one would expect a mini-bar in the room.
excellent location. Friendly staff. clean. and well heated. basic, but good for visiting a city. no comfortable lobby to have a rest.
tehlocation and the ability t get around just by walking.
Excellent location Breakfast ok but limited options after a 4 day trip, wifi ok in lobby area but not in rooms
Top location, very kind and helpfull staff, clean rooms
Very friendly staff and the hotel was in a very convenient area to the Town Centre and the nightlife of the Leidseplein Room was slightly too small
Location, price, clean, breakfast. Bed very mushy & soft, burnt-out light bulb was unplugged instead of replaced.
The facilities are good and the breakfast is also good! Just the size of the room is very small.
Day time receptionist was very helpful with booking tours and directions. Rooms were very small but we were able to upgrade to a larger room with a canal view for an additional 35euros a night.
it was warm but very small rooms, down at reception could be turned into a nice cosy bar to eat and have a quiet drink. room too small,
The location. Almost everything.
