Pros:
Cons: Upon arrival (11pm) I was very disappointed To find out that the restaurant and the bar of the hotel were closed and under construction. In addition to this, the room service menu (and the food ordered subsequently) was a disaster. I was on a very hectic business trip and room service or a hotel restaurant was top priority for me. At no point after my booking was i informed that the restaurant and bar was under construction. The hotel breakfast was very poor and basic and so was the room cleaning service. One day my bed was not made!

Pros: The hotel is very striking when you walk in the front entrance, gorgeous! It's set in the perfect location to get around Amsterdam by foot or by tram. I look forward to returning and staying at this hotel on my next trip. I think we've found our winner!

Pros: Breakfast is one of the major reasons we chose to stay in Krasnapolsky. This is my 3rd time staying in the hotel and everytime I will stay in this hotel for number of reasons. First the location is very nice. Second, the hotel is very good in terms of hospitality and comfort. The people who work in the hotel from reception to house keeping, are obviously happy to work here and they are showing it by how they treat you. I would like to thank Eline who were great at welcoming us in the hotel. She was very warm, kind and helpful. I already knew this is the way Krasnapolsky team treats the guests but once again my girlfriend who accompanied me understood why I insisted on this hotel. Hope this quality never changes!

Pros: Location was great
Cons: Keys stopped working every day and it takes a very long time to get from the room tothe front desk to get new ones. I also was unable to make my first night due to a change in our flight that was beyond my control and although I called more than 24 hours before arrival they would not refund my first night stay. I would not suggest pre paying. I have worked in hotels so I know there are always ways staff can make it up to you - free breakfast, bottles of wine, discounts on future stays etc. Nothing was done

Pros: Every thing was great, the staff, location, concierge, food, etc
Cons: No sound isolation between rooms also noise coming from outside through the window
4.0 Okay
Pros: the location and the lobby are excellent.
Cons: the room was tiny. the TV did not work. The room was in a modern wing and there was nothing mentioned about that on the website when we booked. I expected to be in the old building and this was really disappointing. Additionally, we came to ask if we could dine in the White Room but were turned away as allegedly there were all tables booked. Later in the evening we passed by the restaurant several times and there were tables empty. We'd rather be advised to come by in an hour or so rather than a strict NO. We felt we were unwanted

Pros: The location of this hotel is amazing! Across the road from Central Station and an easy walk to everything! The staff were so friendly and accommodating throughout; they really enhanced our stay! They put a balloon in the room with a card and a treat for my friends birthday; really special touches throughout our stay. Thank you! The room was great with a view facing Central Station (there are extensive works happening right outside the so wasn’t the best view but that’s not the fault of the hotel). The bed was so comfortable, everything was very clean. You don’t have to put a key card in for the electrics as there is a permanent one left in the slot so you can always have your key card and not have to remember taking it from the slot. Little things like this really improve the stay. Refreshments at reception at all times. The hotel is beautiful with great spaces and art all around and there is a beautiful bar in the hotel if you don’t feel like venturing out one evening. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

Pros: The location of this property is excellent, across the road from Central Station, easy to use the tram service & metro from there. Staff were always so friendly and willing to go out of their way to help, making us feel very welcome. The room was big, very clean, bed was so comfortable it made it hard to wake up every morning. Breakfast was incredible, a continental and a menu all included. The 5 & 33 restaurant (part of the hotel) is a must try. We enjoyed a delicious, special truffle menu on our first night. The bar makes incredible cocktails. Heated Pool and sauna were welcome after a cold day sight seeing in Amsterdam. Free Wifi was fast. Can't wait to go back!

Cons: The pool is lovely but was being cleaned at around 11am on Thursday so we couldn’t use it when we wanted to and waited at least 30 minutes until we could get in. The music was also playing loudly and it was the radio not relaxing spa music. The sauna was quite dark, not sure if it was supposed to be more lit like the pictures and maybe they hadn’t set it up for the day, hence the cleaning machine in the pool and. The changing room is small and smelled like damp but it was clean as far as I could tell. The TV started reading out actions of the programmes for visually impaired but there was no setting to remove this. Would be great if there were more settings options on the tv to remove this (it wasn’t channel specific and wasn’t happening before this) and for a sleep timer.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Things were still a bit noisy in our room, well after midnight on a Saturday night due to a private function at the bar. Other than that- no complaints!

Pros: Favorite hotel to stay at. The location is great it is easy walking distance from Train station to get back to the airport. When I travel I Have 3 to 4 bags (1-2 large 50lb bags, 1 back pack and a carry on.) it is very easy to drag the bags hotel. If you get in before room is ready or check-in time they have a room they can put your bag. What is great is that it has coffee shops and great food choices, if you want Restaurant food or fast food, they are within 3-5 mins from the door. I have stayed at the hotel 4 times and will be staying again next time I have a layover. The price is very fair and great location.

Pros: Perfect location for a tourist. Helpful, pleasant staff. Small but cute single room with an excellent (canal) view.
Cons: Not sure if my expectations were different because I'm American, but I sorely missed having an ice machine, microwave and small fridge for use. There was a mini fridge in the room but it was secured as it contained minibar items.I didn't open it for fear I'd be charged for items. Furthermore, I wasn't sure there was any space inside for non-minibar items. I also never received a facecloth during my stay.

Cons: Have to pull heavy bag on upstairs till reception.after then have lift for going upside floors.Rate is higher against what they provide service. It was my first time ever staying in a hostel, I booked it just for the sake of an experience as I have always lived in hotels while travelling. The location was fantastic and was like a 3-4 min walk from the Centraal station, the checkin process was smooth and easy. The room, bathroom and other common areas were clean. The crew who works here is super friendly, polite, helpful, understanding, caring (I can go on but then The review cannot be infinite). The party vibe of this place is way better as compared to a lot of the places around and a great music playlist. The travellers/guests are from various countries and is a great place to socialize and meet new people. I am glad that I decided to stay at the flying pig and will certainly stay here again. A special shout out to Grietje, Anna, Sammi & Derek for making my stay a memorable one, you guys were amazing and we shall meet again soon. Also a big thanks to all the other crew members working there with whom i couldnt interact a lot. ❤️

Pros: Location is great and the room is spacious.
Cons: Our room faced the main busy street, which was great for the view, but terrible for noises. Could hear virtually everything going on outside all night long.

Pros: Very warm and friendly staff, nice room, hotel was quiet, good value.
Cons: We had two beds and they were touching which was kind of weird. The ability to use the fridge without breaking a seal would be nice too. We also couldn't figure out how to turn off one of the lamps without unplugging it.

Everything's close to the hotel: subway, tram, stores, some exhibitions... It was a very nice stay.
Cons: The toilet seat is installed very high. Not comfortable. I'm 1,63cm and my feet barely touched the ground when I was using it. The door peephole was completely out of my sight. It's probably for someone that's 1,80cm. I would have to get on a chair to see through it. Not cool when we are travelling alone (for safety reasons). People on the other rooms were very loud. Not the hotel fault, but the reception could just remind that "this is a hotel, you are not alone" at the time of arrival. (I'm talking about loud noises at 11pm).

Pros: nothing.
Cons: The hotel was dirty and run down. It looked nothing like the pics of rooms I saw on the website. My wife and myself were afraid of standing on the floor without shoes on. The beds were in poor shape.

4.5 Okay
Pros: Location in relation to sights in town
Cons: -Room was not what was on the website
-Staff double charged me and sought to charge me a city tax on an erroneous charge
-Wi-Fi was rarely working
3.6 Mediocre
Pros: Only the fact that there was free wifi
Cons: Small room, barely 6*8.. TV was crap, battub was the smallest I have ever seen, didn't know they made it this tiny... Room had odor, housekeeping didn't change bed sheets nor did they clean the floor, just placed new towels in.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The location of the hotel only
Cons: The staff spoke to you like you like you are stupid essp the guy working as a concierge. The bathroom was extremely small with dirty walls and black stainscreen in the wall lining. The roomovers looked nothing like the pictures.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Great location, room was clean, comfortable
The concierge was very helpful
Good WiFi connection :)
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: location-excellent desk staff-front door staff-very helpful and friendly
Cons: Housekeeping was different every day and came at different times. Most did not do much more than empty cans, one turned on the dishwasher for two glasses. The refrigerator did not stay cold.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were not large but a good size for a hotel in an older building. The breakfast was nice. Enjoyed the option to have fried eggs or omelettes cooked to order. Check in was quick and all staff were friendly and accommodating.

Pros: The building itself was lovely, very gothic with a cozy feel. The breakfast was excellent, make sure you get it included in your original price. The spa was nice and the staff was extremely helpful. We rented bikes from the hotel for a day and they were very good rides, better than our bikes at home! The mini bar is stocked daily and is FREE! We kept drinking our mini wines in the double bath tub every night. Great location, across the canal from central station. A great choice for our honeymoon stay.

Pros: Nice art-deco hotel close to central district
Cons: Breakfast buffet was overly expensive for the limited selections. Also, there were no gluten-free offerings other than granola.

Pros: Location, staff free mini bar
Cons: Was a little cold
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and design of hotel
Cons: The breakfast bar was a bit under par for a hotel of this class
7.0 Good
Pros:
Cons: There was only one person at check in, and a long que. Also, their info about my booking did not match with what I booked. We spent a frustrating full hour and a half to get a room with double bed. Exhausting for one-day get away for my husbands birthday.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The building itself was lovely, very gothic with a cozy feel. The breakfast was excellent, make sure you get it included in your original price. The spa was nice and the staff was extremely helpful. We rented bikes from the hotel for a day and they were very good rides, better than our bikes at home! The mini bar is stocked daily and is FREE! We kept drinking our mini wines in the double bath tub every night. Great location, across the canal from central station. A great choice for our honeymoon stay.
Cons: Our room was on the first floor, so keeping the windows open at night for a breeze did not work out as the street noise was too loud. Our last night we noticed a small visitor in our room, a mouse, who was persistent and did not want to leave. It was our last night so we just said our goodnight to our guest and slept, it's an old building so I don't think it is an "infestation" but rather something that comes with staying in an old, large building.
6.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is in a great location by Amsterdam Centraal. It is easy to get to and a great place to explore the city from.
Cons: The maid service was sub standard for a $300+/night hotel. The bed was made but other items were never straightened.

Pros: The service is excelent and the hotel is an historical building and transports you to the past.
Cons: Is difficult to park a car and the parking lot is 10 minutes walking from the hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful. The hotel and the rooms we saw were characterful
Cons: Shower drain was blocked
5.7 Okay
Pros: Great location, friendly staff
Cons: The room was incredibly stuffy as there was no A/C. We couldn't open the windows at night because the building construction next door started promptly at 7 am and the noise was unbearable with the windows open. Would never had booked here if I knew I would get about 2 hrs of sleep per night. The price was decent but now I know why!
