Pros: Situated in a more residential part of town - but only 10 - 15 min walk to all main attractions this hotel was awesome. Staff were ridiculously friendly. Place is like a 5 star hotel. Completely renovated - all high tech switches in the rooms.
Extremely cheap for what you get.
Will be only place I stay in Venice from now on!
Pros: Excellent service by very professional staff who were extremely helpful with all our needs. We had special religious needs on Saturday and the staff was very cooperative. The atmosphere was very special in this boutique hotel in Cannareggio area of Venice on the canal. Absolutely peaceful and serene atmosphere that made us forget all everyday concerns. We highly recommend staying here and we will definitely stay here again this summer when we return to visit Venice.
Pros: My husband and I recently stayed at the Ai More d'Oriente for 4 days and 3 nights in December 2014 and loved it. Here's what we loved:
LOCATION - The location was perfect... close, easy access to the vaperatto's (Venice's water taxis) as well as a short walk to the city center.
STAFF - The staff was super helpful, friendly and accommodating.
AMENITIES - Free wi-fi and breakfast.
ROOMS - Comfortable, clean, nicely decorated rooms. The rooms are small but 1. that's to be expected in Europe and 2. We didn't come to Italy to stay in the room so the size wasn't an issue for us.
Overall we felt we got an excellent value for what we paid. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Cons: The breakfast was a typical European breakfast. The coffee was excellent but the food options were not to our liking. However, it I free so not a big deal for us.

Pros: Probably the closest 5 star hotel to St Mark's Square.
Cons: 1st night in hotel, shower did not drain and flooded the whole bathroom floor. Had to call for someone to come up and drain the shower. He ended up pulling out a big wad of hair the size of my fist.
Pros: Was great .great customer service ..
Pros: The Location is perfect. The staff was, for the most part amazing. The room was well appointed. The restaurants were definitely 5 star calibre
Cons: The concierge's were rude. They did not smile or even acknowledged me as I left and returned to the hotel. I was surprised, because when I stayed a the Metropole last year, this was not the case. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything

Pros: The staff and facilities were great. Food for breakfast also very good. The bar and restaurant are both very good!! Great service. Great quality. And ask for Vincenzo in the restaurant. He's awesome! He and all the staff work hard and together to make your experience special.
Pros: The perfect place to stay while visiting Venice! Close to everything, wonderful staff who went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. We felt completely spoiled! Wonderfully romantic room and delicious breakfast in the morning...would definitely stay again!
Pros: Unusual. Helpful staff.
Cons: Wifi limited. Facilities need updating.
Pros: Location was absolutely perfect.
The restaurant staff were amazing!!!
Cons: However, I wasn't too pleased with much else considering how much I paid for the room.
The room key is unnecessarily large.
Pros: Incredibly helpful staff and speak quite good english. Very clean and interesting architecture. And Mirco in the bar makes a killer White Russian. Definitely recommend this place
Pros: Personnel très disponible, hôtel typique, spacieux, très confortable, proche de la place St Marco avec arrêt du vaporetto à 2 mn. Séjour super ! Je le recommande c'était GENIAL.
Historical building family run since 4 generations.
The hotel Saturnia is one of the very few of its category still family run since more than 100 years. Located in a very central area in Calle XXII Marzo, one of the most exclusive venetian streets, just 3 minutes walking distance from St. Mark's Square.

The 40 guestrooms have Venetian-style decor and are all air-conditioned. They include complimentary wireless Internet, satellite television, minibars, and direct-dial phones. 24-hour room service is available onsite.
Cons: Staff was not friendly nor attentive. The bed was old and had a broken spring.
Pros: Very easy walking distance to everything. Breakfast was included in our stay. Champagne was served on Sunday. Great variety of foods to select from and coffee was amazing. The view of the Grand Canal cannot be any better.
Cons: Hotel room key and safe were old world.
Pros: I stayed at the Casanova Suites which adjacent to the Bauers and for a family of four was great!! The location is just the greatest. The rooms were huge and they offered everything including 2 bathrooms!!! If you are traveling with young adults and spending time in Venice, this place is it. It was not cheap and it shouldnt be but well worth it!! Your on the main canal and yds from St Marks square. I will recomend it to my friends.
Cons: Needed more TV sets in the bedrooms.
Cons: Internet and telephone net were very weak
Casanova side was not good to stay
Pros: Luxury hotel
Location in the heart of
Service was 5 star
They helped us book museum tickets, dinner reservations etc
Concierge Raphaela was just amazing
Cons: No negatives.
Pros: Well appointed. Classic beauty with modern convenience.
Cons: The heat control!
Pros: If you like the boutique looks with no essence; then you will not mind this hotel. Nothing really works and the staff don't know how to fix it. ,If you like the looks and
Pros: Location is very good.
Cons: It is a expensive hotel, the service was not very nice with the exception of concierge, that they did a great gob.
The shower was leaking water so every time you use it, there was water all over the restroom, the hair dryer did not work,
Just details that you take for granted at that price range hotels.
The Bauer Palazzo in Venice, Italy is 150 meters from St. Mark's Square and 250 meters from Basilica di San Marco and Doge's Palace. The Fenice Opera House is 450 meters from the hotel and Rialto Bridge is 500 meters away. The Marco Polo Airport is approximately 13 kilometers away.
The rose-colored lobby of the Bauer Palazzo features antique-veneer Venetian panels, vintage Murano-glass chandeliers and a ceramic map of 15th century Venice. Amenities include a 24-hour front desk and a gift shop.

Amenities include in-room safes, minibars, and free wireless Internet access. The ensuite Italian marble bathrooms feature makeup/shaving mirrors, complimentary toiletries, slippers and bathrobes. The rooms feature views of the small side canal or the courtyard.
Pros: Good hotel, far from the attraction but there are shuttle for the other side where the attractions are. The shuttle every 30 mins until midnight
Cons: The staff are professional but rude somtimes.
Pros: Awesome staff. Great breakfast. Good cocktails!
Pros: Almost everything. The room was beautiful, across a small garden. The staff was very accommodating. The gardens were a particularly nice touch.
Cons: One major gripe: internet access (important, as this was a business trip) was very poor. Connections dropped constantly, and otherwise ran remarkably slowly. The only other gripe is very minor: as the hotel is in Giudecca, it's a bit of a "trip" to get to the main island. On the other hand, that's how it has the beautiful gardens and how it's not surrounded by crowds all the time...
Pros: The locaiton was away from the hussle and bussle of Venice but only a short boat ride away. The hotel's garden makes it feel like you are worlds away from a busy metropolis.
Cons: The walls were paper thin - we could hear our neighbors early in the morning watching television.
Pros: A 5 minute free shuttle ride across from Piazza San Marco to an utterly relaxing retreat in Venice. The service and staff are second to none.
Five minutes from Piazza San Marco by private shuttle, Palladio Hotel is an oasis of peace and tranquility. Gently removed from the bustling streets of Venice this converted 16th Century convent on the Giudecca successfully preserves the grace and beauty of it historic past, with the modern enhancement of state of the art facilities. The adjoining Palladio SPA is an extraordinary complex of 450 square meters featuring eight treatment rooms and a Fitness Centre.
Pros: The hotel is located right in the middle of the tourism.boat access was simple and walking along waterfront at night was delightful. Hotel room was small but upgraded bathrooms were clean and nice. Gym was high tech with treadmill bike and weights but many runners opt for the waterfront unless too late in the day and the crowds make it impossible to get around
Cons: Upgrade carpets and Bedspreads
tv had very spotty reception
Ac unit would click 3times and turn on
Pros: Location. View of rooms facing the canal.
Pros: It is a great place to stay because it is a stone throw away from St. Marks Square. The water bus that took us to the airport stopped right in front of the hotel, which made the it easy for us to travel to the airport with our big suitcases.
Pros: Beautiful old hotel. small rooms, but efficient and comfortable for 2 people. Great decorative touches in the room. Our room had views of the grand canal, with windows that could've opened for a fresh breeze off the water. Breakfast included in the price of stay, and was delicious, with many options on the buffet, fresh made cappuccinos, and views of the water. Extremely easy access to vaporetto, minutes walk from San Marco and many restaurants and shops. Very friendly English speaking staff
Cons: A con for some: we had to climb 2 flights of stairs to our room even after taking the elevator, which was fine for us, but may be problematic or some; the elevator was tiny, which seems fairly standard for Italy, but good to know. In general recommend packing light, no matter where you stay as navigating over bridges in the city can be challenging with big bags!
Pros: Location, super nice staff, new rooms.
Cons: For the price we were expecting a better view on the room. On the contrary we were situated on a back building
Pros: The location of the hotel was ideal. It is a very short walk to Piazza San Marco. The hotel is also right next to some water ferry stations, which makes transportation easy. The staff serving breakfast were great.
Cons: Air conditioner was not working.
Pros: Take a water taxi to Piazza San Marco and you are only a few steps to the hotel. The hotel included a free boat trip to Murano to see a glass blowing studio and they also offer a one-hour boat tour around town in the afternoon for only 25 Euros per person. A decent hot and cold breakfast buffet was provided by the restaurant out front. We also enjoyed a dinner of traditional Italian specialties at the same restaurant in the evening. Our room was an inside room, so our view was only the courtyard area - but that was okay because all we had to do was step out the front door of the hotel and we were in the heart of beautiful scenery. If you request a waterfront room you will have gorgeous views. Our room seemed to be recently updated because everything looked clean and brand new. The bathroom was small but very modern with a relatively large walk-in shower - and it also looked like it had been recently renovated. The hotel common areas were undergoing renovations during our stay, but it did not disturb our visit at all.
Cons: The hotel thought of everything - like a selection of soap products, hair dryer, mirrors, convenience packs, robes, etc., but it took up a great deal of space in an already tight bathroom.
Pros: My room was amazing
Bathroom was awesome
Cons: Loved everything. Really!
Cons: Very dirty furniture.
The Hotel Savoia & Jolanda is located in the historical center of Venice, a few minutes away from St. Mark Square, in a splendid position along Riva degli Schiavoni, in front of the Venice lagoon, from there it enjoys the unforgettable view of Saint Mark´s Basin and the St. George Island. Its position allows one to reach easily the Mercerie and Via XXII Marzo with some of the world´s finest shopping and to visit the Venetian palaces, museums and the art galleries, lesser-known Venice like the more fascinating and secluded as the Sestiere Castello. The high quality standards and services offered to our clients are complemented by a relaxed and a client-friendly ambience, set by the owners, and who offer also delightful accommodation. Everything makes the Hotel Savoia & Jolanda a really special place for lodging in Venice.
Pros: The hotel was in a central location within walking distance to all the major attractions. I had a antique look with modern bathroom. I was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very courteous and helpful. I would stay in this hotel again.
Pros: Clean room, cozy bed, good bathroom, and good TV (if you actually need a TV while on vacation). Great location close to St. Marco's Basilica (main square in Venice). Close to shopping and public (vaporetto stop by St Marco). Included breakfast is good (eggs, bacon, juice, coffee, toasts, jams, etc).
Cons: Bathroom lacked a vent leading to a stagnant water smell. The A/C was barely able to keep up with just the heat generated by the 2 people staying in the room.
Pros: Near San Marcos Square, just steps away.
Pros: The staff made us feel as though we were part of the team... it was a special place from the people that worked there...
Pros: The location was excellent in Venice; I expected the Milan Casati to be nearer the Milano Centrale as depiceted on the website. The size of our room at bw Venice Montecarlo was too small; it was ok at Milano Casati
Cons: The Staff were always coutreous and smiling. The location is ideal.
Pros: The hotel is nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good and a plus. The best was the friendly, helpful staff. They made the hotel a cut above others. The man at the desk day/evening recommended activities and arranged tickets and directions for us. He was so kind and helpful. He even gave us an umbrella to use. I would recommend the hotel and would return at the first opportunity. We also loved the location. Thanks for a wonderful 51st wedding anniversary experience.
Pros: great location, very easy walk to San Marko and Realto Bridge. Rooms are nice, clean, staff was very helpful.
Pros: Location in Venice near to San Marco
Cons: Bed rooms very tired with stained wall paper in each of the 3 rooms we booked. The furniture and size of the rooms were good and they had comfortable beds.
Pros: The staff were very helpful, the hotel was very clean, good wc/ shower facilities etc and a good breakfast...
Cons: The beds were a bit hard...
Pros: Staff was vert helpful and very courtious. Hotel was kept clean at all hours. Rooms were a good size.
Pros: Friendly and helpfull staff. it´s location.
Pros: The staff were great, helpful, welcoming and always pleasant. The breakfast was excellent and the variety suited us. Our room was small, but perfectly adequate and the cleanliness of a very high standard. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good time.
Cons: The pillows! Like sleeping with your head on a wooden block. To be fair, we didn't mention this and judging by our overall experience they would have changed them had we asked. I had to think really hard to come up with anythiing remotely negative.
This modernised 17th-century building in Venice, formerly a convent and a palazzo, is 50 metres from Piazza San Marco, 200 metres from Bridge of Sighs and 300 from San Zaccaria Church.
Pros: Went to celebrate 20th anniversary. Stayed in a 3 star hotel in Venice before and this was certainly more posh and the price tag reflected that as well. Nice amenities that we were not aware of: breakfast was included at the restaurant, 30 minutes per room of private sauna, jacuzzi or steam sauna time per day. Hotel is a 5 minute walk to St. Mark's Square etc.
Cons: Staff are very well dressed and say the right words, but I never sensed any authenticity, warmth, friendliness, etc.. I asked for assistance on several occasions from different people related to getting to the airport, a restaurant recommendation, directions, etc and the responses were typically curt and robotic. The only exception was the porter/bellhop from the Philippines, he was great. I would expect more from a 4-star hotel when I'm paying $400-500 per night. It was as if they didn't like their jobs. The same experience was noted in the restaurant which was located in the sister hotel next door. Doubt I will return given the opportunity.

Pros: I am in a wheelchair and their accessible room was really great. Hotel had a lot of charm and the staff was very helpful.
Cons: Would like a grab bar in the shower.

As we did not have a lot of luggage; we were able to walk in about 20 minutes from the cruise ship direct to the hotel without using people mover or water taxi. Follow the map they have on their website; just past the train station on your left - an alley way from the main street. Hotel sign is on the wall of the alley way. They allowed us to store our luggage and use wi fi and breakfast when we arrived. Very friendly hotel - would highly recommend.
Pros: Super place to stay prior or after a cruise. Did not require expensive water taxi to get to hotel. In a great area - close to vaparetto stop; and bus to the airport. The staff was outstanding - very helpful in suggesting routes, places to see and eat.

Pros: I enjoyed the location ,it was an old villa, but very clean rooms. It was an easy walk to most attraction places in the city.
The staff was very nice ,helpful and friendly , Marko at reception was amazing and helped me for all information need it.
Price was very reasonable.
Internal garden for breakfast very nice, with good breakfast food.
Hotel not noisy at all ,everything was amazing,i would highly recommend it and i hope to stay there again.
Cons: The room was small but adequate.
Hotel Mignon puts you in a great location, within just a 10-minute walk of Ca' d'Oro and Rialto Bridge. You can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge, and continental breakfast is available daily. There's also a garden, and rooms offer LCD TVs and free WiFi.
Pros: Westin Europa & Regina is a wonderful place right on the canal with an amazing staff and facilities
Pros: Very luxurious. Staff wonderful. Central Location on the canal with superb views and private water taxi station right in front. Room service excellent! The Westin sets the bar very high!
Cons: TV channel selection poor.
Cons: The dependent at the lobby was rude. The room they gave was not ready, there was an empty champaigne bottle with the corresponding dirty glasses. To make matters worse, it was time consuming to resolve. The room we ended up with had two full size beds together, with separate linen for each, instead of a king/queen size bed. The waiters at the bar and common areas were rude. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. In 30 years this is the most we ever paid for accommodations AND the worst service we've received.

Pros: Nice and quiet enough room. Very attentive and helpful staff. It is in a great location. The room was a little larger than expected and the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub, which was unexpected.
Cons: No elevator and no rooms on the ground floor. Your queen size bed may end up being two single beds pushed together, but that is not so unusual in Europe. In room coffee is a packet of Nescafe, not what you'd expect in Italy.
Located in San Marco, this hotel is within a 10-minute walk of La Fenice Opera House, St. Mark's Basilica, and Rialto Bridge. St Mark's Campanile and St. Mark's Square are also within 10 minutes.
Cons: The room was not clean at check in. Used amenities. 1 sopa for 2 persona. A lot of mosquitos. Very small shower.
Pros: I was a pleasant trip thanks to the Hilton.
I received the best service.
And has provided me a beautiful view of Venice.
If you go to Venice, I will go back to the Hilton.
Thanks for making my travel special.
Thank you :-)
Would stay here again
Cons: Heard people walking upstairs most of the night
Concierge gave me different answers when I asked the same question
Long wait for shuttle boat
Cons: Restocking the room
Pros: The view from the rooftop bar was amazing
Cons: For the expensive room rate, I was shocked by a couple of things:
- there was no free/included wifi
- there were mosquitoes in the room. is it terribly hard to install screens?
- there were stains on the wall from mosquitoes being squashed/killed
- service was just OK
One night is not enough time to take advantage of the amenities you're paying for.
