I loved the location, fair price, good services, many value visitors informations. Lovely building. I felt safe. Non
The staff was interested in helping people, Good availibiity for tours...couldn't be a better place in L A to stay for a Hostel,
It was one of the niciest hostels I have ever stayed at and it was right in the heart of things in Santa Monica including the beach!
I never stayed there. I tried to cancel since I learned that parking was additional across the street for $17 - no street parking if you have a car. A hostel shouldn't cost this much. I was better off just paying $60 at a cheap hotel/motel and have a room to myself! I wish I could get that money back. :(
toilet and room is clean. good location. provide breakfast. nice common area. staff is helpful no wifi in the room
be in contact with a lot of nice people from all round the world..The enviroment was so nice.. the breackfast was very good. If you want u cant store your food in the hostel's fridges and cook it when ever you want in the big kitchen!!
the price was good. staff were helpful at explaining how to get around the city etc the beds weren't the most comfortable i've ever slept in but it's a hostel so u get what u expect really
The location is perfect, directly in Santa Monica, one block to the ocean... Crowd is nice there, too
Basic but centrally located hostel
a round hotel is expencive. this hotel is a little cheep
The front desk help was awesome...whatever I needed they helped with...cab, directions etc. The bed was extremely hard! The wi-fi connection was poor.
Nothing Everything. The minute we get there we are ignored for a good 15min while the front desk flirted with a girl in the lobby. We are finally helped, but with attitude from the minute I opened my mouth to check in. Then we were told I had to have a passport to check in. I provided my out of state drivers license and was told that still wasn't enough. They had to have an itinerary showing that I planned on leaving. Nothing on the website we used to book advised anything about having to provide a passport and i have stayed at sevreal hostels around the US and never once did they require a passport to stay at their establisment. I even double checked my itinerary details when we left to see if there was any disclaimer. We ended up just cancelling our reservations as long as they didn't charge us. The guy checking us in was rude the entire time and had little to no care if we stayed. Never again.
So, to start off, let me say that this is not a hotel. It's a cheap way to share a room with seven other people and have a little base of operations to explore from. The thing that impressed me most was how clean it was. Every time I went anywhere in the hostel, there was someone cleaning something. I felt very comfortable in that. Also, having a lot of internationals around makes for great conversation. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great stay overall! The only thing I didn't really enjoy as much (and this really couldn't be avoided) was sharing a room with 7 people. Not that they weren't nice; just the awkwardness of not having much privacy and trying not to make much noise when you come in late or head out early. Other than that, it was great.
Great location, great staff, and great people staying at this cool LA hostel Shared bathrooms are a bit awkward
Great breakfast, and very clean all around. Super helpful and friendly staff. Lockers in the room for your valuables and a really soft blanket! The beds were pretty good and there were sockets in between each bed with room for about 6 plugs. Everyone showers in the morning so the water gets really cold. This is not their fault though:)
Great location and price. Pleasant staff. Very clean. Surprisingly quiet. Long flights of stairs to room. Very slippery tiled shower floors -- I fell! $2 extra for towels.
I slept just fine and other guests were respectful. It took a while for the employee to greet me outside. He also promised to bring me a towel, and never did. I never saw him again to be able to remind him.
They provided towels which is nice The house smelled weird the first day when I walked in. There were signs in the bathroom that said there would be a $50 charge if the floor was wet which is more than how much it is to actually stay there. There was a bug on my bed the next morning and I flicked it off so I didn't get to see what kind of bug it was. Either a small spider or I hope it wasn't a bed bug
Some friendly people and some dont-talk-to-me attitude. if you have a car it is impossible to find parking. Neighborhood is really ghetto.
Oasis hostel name was not displayed in front gate. It was visible in back gate.
Clean and close to the bus stop, owner let me leave my suitcase in her place after check out and pick it up later so I didnt have to travel with it all around LA Not enough space for baggage and unpacking and way too many beds in one room
Owners are nice Low end hostel
