Room also had a scribble wall where you could draw - would be lots of fun for kids! We ate dinner at the hotel and found the food excellent and the service prompt. Unfortunately we were only staying one night due to a long layover, so we didn’t get to use the rest of the facilities, but they looked nice!

Restaurant staff took a long time to fill a very simple order, which was ridiculously expensive ($6 + tax and service charge for a can of root beer.)

Cons: Basic amenities should be provided without having to request (toothbrush provided upon request, no sandals and we didn't ask).
An electric socket at bedside has its cover removed exposing live contacts. One of us accidentally touched the live contact in the midnight when trying to reach the light switch - got a brief sock. That could be fatal. An indication of lack of attention of the house keeping/maintenance crew to ensure health and safety of the premises.

Cons: Poor wifi connection, especially at night! No operator pick up my call, I called more than 10 times for the pass 1.5 hours at night, because I want to ask about my laundry. The laundry is not send on time as stated in bill, and because no operators pick up my phone call, I have to go down to the reception counter and ask at 11pm! The hotel may argue that due to the do not disturb signal, but I am sure that I put it after the promised time for laundry sending. Also, I think they should, in the first place, pick up my phone call! I try other number, manager, is in engaged tone. Then I call the restaurant, and my phone call is answered and the staff promise to pass my message to the reception, but after waiting like 1 hour, nobody call me back. Poor service! Need improvement! I travel 12-30 times per year and this is also my first time, as a guest, I need to follow up and pick up my own laundry!

Pros: I liked that the checkout was 12noon. This gave me longer than the 12 hour time slot other properties offer. Fitted with my flight timings very well. Lounge area was very comfortable with an abundance of complimentary guest snacks which was a very nice touch.

Cons: Unusually and dangerous step UP into the bathroom. Very small room. Price is very high, but then again, it is Singapore! And the convenience of not leaving the airport for less than a 12 hour layover was worth it.

Pros: I have used this lounge three times in the last 9 months when I travel with Lufthansa from Singapore to Nice and as located in T2 is convenient. However when I used the lounge on 30 August I was 'agast' when eating the delicious ice cream...it had three fish bones in the serving.| Thank goodness I have good eye sight and was bale to site the bones before ingesting and God only knows what the outcome would have been.

Cons: The room is called a "nap" room. It is basically a small room with a bad and a wall that does not go all the way to the ceiling. Due to the gap, the joined transfers from one room to the other. I could hear my neighbor's snore, another's alarm clock and someone packing. I was feeling very bad to pack because I knew I would be disturbing the others. The bath is not attached and you have to walk across the hall to access the shower and toilet.

Cons: This is definitely not a 4 star hotel, the breakfast was a disaster, something you might find in a canteen. The grounds need to be looked after. This place could be so much better but for the price you paid definitely not worth it. Very far from the City and buses took at least 20 mins to get the nearest MRT. The Hotel management needs to make the most of the heritage elements of both building they use, and tell the story of Singapore and the old British area
