The room was large and very clean. The view was great! We could see the fireworks at the stadium one night even! It's a bit pricey, but was worth it
The location and proximity to MDAnderson Cancer Hospital was ok, less than 15 minutes to drive there. The decor, though older, was nice too. There was a full size gingerbread house in the lobby, all edible, which we thought was really cool too. Reading online that this hotel had a remodel in 2011, I wasn't expecting it to be perfect and pristine, but it was even less than I expected. The carpets coming off the elevator to our floor were stained and looked dirty. Entering the room, everything looked ok, but there was a definite smell to the room. Not overpowering, but not good either. Kind of musty/humid/moldy smelling. The tv was on a dresser not facing the bed, or any of the chairs in the room, so I'm not sure how one is supposed to view it. We were there for one night before our appointment at the MDAnderson Cancer Center, and though we will be making many trips there over the next few years, I'm not sure we will stay at this hotel again. For the price ($156 after taxes), I was expecting better.
Very close to downtown Houston. Walking distance to sporting arenas. Free shuttles when needed. You have to pay for parking.
The location is great for me as I was here to see a concert at the House of Blues. This is a great location for the convention center. The staff is friendly and helpful. It was close to a homeless shelter and walking around at night didn't feel safe
Our driver, Modesto, was AMAZING! Actually all of the staff was very welcoming and awesome :)
It really was the perfect venue for our excursion. Papasito's was amazing. The breakfast at 1600 was amazing. And I can't say enough about the skyline view from the pool deck and outside terrace. I was really surprised that there were no fans in the bathroom.
Staff is excellent. Very friendly and quick to help with any and everything. This is the second time we've stayed here and the experience was excellent both times. Can't think of anything we did not like.
My room was clean everyday
Gorgeous inside and out. Staff was professional and courteous . Hilton Americas is the best of the best. Short stay.
The staff was fantastic and they all seemed like they enjoyed working there. First class the whole way!
Excellent bed & shower. What else do you need...? A/C in the bed room is a little bit noisy. I had to shut it off.
The pleasantness of the staff No informal cafe. Some across the street, but not in the hotel. Hotel restaurant excellent but expensive and only other choice was on the roof at the pool.
Excellent service standards
Staff was excellent. Facility was very nice. Good location. Room is in need of repairs and not up to luxury standards. Shower water temperature was very erratic. Hotel Restaurant was Italian themed, in Houston!
I liked that the staff seemed to really care each and I every time I had a need, even for my puppy ! Thanks for a great stay.
Good breakfast and happy hour. I did not like that they charged me two times for my stay. When I called I was told I would be refunded and the manager would call me and they still have not called me back or contacted me about refunding my money. This was seven days ago. I will update this when I get my refund
Breakfast. Manager's evening food / drink. Room.
It was near a wonderful park that really had a lot going on for smaller children. They had a nice pool. Very accomodating. The parking was really expensive. $32 a day. All the parking near us downtown was very expensive. It's Houston with LA prices. That made no sense.
Our room was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful. We like the fact that we could park our car and use the shuttle service to get to all the places downtown we wanted to go. We will use this hotel again for our needs visit. We like the fact that we could park our car and use the shuttle service to get to all the places downtown we wanted to go. It was great, very clean and very nice loved the room!
Responsive staff, big clean comfortable room, king bed, four wonderful pillows, fridge, microwave, free bottled water, large flat screen TV, pod coffee maker, powrful well draining shower, comfortable AC, expansive desk with much storage, many charge outlets, huge delicious breakfast of almost any type you wish with bananas and apples to go, three types of warm cookies @ 4PM and later, a kind front desk person who would take the time to print my airline ticket, great maid service! Beautiful clean carpet, wonderful location near everything downtown, very safe feeling neighborhood all at a very fair price. All in all, a GREAT experience! Lighting a little dimmer than I might like.
The location to all down town sports teams Ac wasnt working properly in room 425. Staff try to fix but didnt have a spare room that they could move us too. But A for effort though
The location of the hotel is excellent. The staff was not welcoming and the cleanliness of the rooms is not the best.
It is in walking distance of the George Brown Convension Center & rooms are quiet. The staff was friendly. Food, bed, my sheets was left folded on my bed for me to make, beds uncomfortable, $25 parking (4 spots only) 3 blocks away, could not get in room until after 5pm
The room was extremely quiet. There were musicians in other rooms nearby that you could hear from the hallway. But inside the room it was completely quiet. That was nice. Also it was nice to have access to a small kitchen and full-size refrigerator. Overall the size of the room, albeit small, was just fine. And the proximity to downtown restaurants and to the venue where we were for our conference was just perfect. Parking. This is not a hotel problem. It's a Houston problem. It just seems ridiculous to me that the hotel should charge $15 a day for parking in an uncovered unsecure lot. But that's the average going rate everywhere in downtown Houston. So I guess you just have no choice other than to pay for parking or to park on the street and take your chances.
