Pros: Beautiful old(111years) house which the owner, Zenobia, is renovating. Lovely garden to have breakfast in. My room was large with a wash hand basin. Very comfortable bed and effective air conditioner and fan. Lounge (picture) to sit in and use of kitchen and dining room. Well positioned for Prospect Park, subway, shops and coffee shops.

Pros: Zenobia is a great host. She really did everything to make us feel home. The atmosphere of the guest house is incredibly friendly. The Prospect park is just a few blocks away, you can easily reach even Manhattan by taking the subway.

Pros: Handsome building over 100 years old. The integrity of the building has been left in tact, so the room sizes are a little odd, but worth the atmosphere. Lovely back garden sitting area. Excellent hostess. I'll stay here again.

Pros: Good safe location near restaurants and metro stop. Zenobia is a delightful hostess. Fun to talk with her. Warm fresh home-made scones each morning. The antique interiors are a far cry from cold modern lobbys. Quiet rooms and quiet bedroom. A courtyard sitting area under the stars (if clear weather). Cannot overemphasize how comfortable we felt here.

Cons: Not really a “dislike” but some light renovation and painting going on while there. Mentioned at the outset, so not a surprise. Visitors should know there is no elevator in case you have heavy luggage.

Pros: The apartment is adorable with a lot or character and it's located in a safer residential area of Brooklyn while still conveniently located to everything you need. A block from the subway, 20 minutes to Manhattan, walking distance to bars and brunch locations, and 10 minutes from the Brooklyn Bridge. It was very private, I never had to see anyone, but they were always available by phone if I needed them and very accommodating. They let me keep my baggage there after check out so that I could keep exploring. I would go back and have already started recommending them to my friends.

Pros: My wife and I stayed in this lovely B&B for a overnight business trip to New York. The charming place offers terrific value for the money. I would stay here again and recommend it without hesitation.
Cons: Third floor shower handles were leaking. It is a small issue that does not take away the overall excellent experience while we were there.

Pros: Just 5-7 minutes walk from the Prospect Park station. 15-20 minutes and you are in Manhattan. From the first day I received help! Michelle provided me with the right adapter for my mobile phone, gave some tips on local places (parks, museums, local pubs). If I go to Brooklyn, I would definitely stay here again!

Pros: The space was very comfortable and clean. It was a shared bathroom but everything felt like home. There was a shared Kitchenette with all of our needs.
Cons: Check in time it's very late-4pm. There was no Space to leave our bags without checking in so the hostess agreed to settle a price for us to come in a little earlier. She didn't know of any lockers or any area around for us to leave our bags. She was very amicable and helped us by agreeing to let us come in early but just as a policy there should be a place to be able to leave bags, or lockers that are suggested for early morning flight arrivals like ours.

Cons: WiFi didn’t work well on the 3rd floor, but it didn’t bother me at all. You can always go downstairs and sit on the comfortable sofa.

Cons: It's impossible to drop your luggages and return to pick them up after checking out. Because you need to leave a key in the room and a reception is not always available.

Pros: The location was what I had expected.
Cons: No change of linens or towels- I was told to clean up my room or there would be additional charges. I was never able to find anyone to answer questions after the first day. The room I was given was tiny, with a lumpy bed. I was given another room that was larger but then charged an additional $150 a night on top of the price I had already paid resulting in a room rental well in excess of $250 a night. The tv was tiny, had no local channels.
