Very efficient. VERY clean. The guy at the front Desk VERY nice and helpful. They had drinks for sale and they weren't too expensive. Had fruit out for any one to take in the lobby. Coffee (yucky, but still nice) and tea available, wish they had cookies. no cups in the bathroom. Cleaning the hallway rug at 11 pm while we were trying to go to sleep. No book about the hotel. No fire exit thing on the back of the door. We could hear other guests in the hall being a bit loud
The hotel had a very clean, sleek, modern, and minimalistic appeal, with a great location central to anything and everything. The staff was extremely helpful and tended to any need we had.
One of the cheapest places I could find that was in an OK part of town. Sheets were clean and they provided soap and towels. Fast wifi. Even though location was OK (close to metro), you still didn't want to walk back to your hotel after the streets cleared out after 10pm. The air conditioner left in the window from the summer let all the noise in from the sirens and nearby subway that both continued throughout the night. Very uncomfortable pillows and there was a plastic mattress cover under the sheets (like you put on kids' beds if bed wetting is an issue). One shower stall for the entire floor. General dingy appearance and poor finish construction. There were 2 locks on the door, but we only had a key to one of them...this means that in theory, if someone had the key to the other lock they could have dead-bolted us into the room at night. Creepy thought.
location was good for the money spent. it was a bathroom and a bed, that is what we needed kind of dirty, shower did not work correctly, neighboorhood was a little seedy. i reserved my room with a credit card, but payed in cash, they charged my card anyway and now i have to wait 8 days to get my money back
Fast connection with MTA Subway to downtown Manhattan. Noise from the street night over. Carpet (what's in the name!) looked extremely old and unclean.
I liked its location and how close it was to the sub way I hated the staff and how they treated me. The man at the front desk was extremely rude and tried charing me an extra 65 dollars for checking in 2 hours early. He also screwed up our payment and this caused me to have to get money wired to the city so i could pay for the additional night. Also my car was hit in the parking lot that is covered in camera and when i went to ask him if he had footage he said summer only which doesn't make any sense. You could tell they could care less about the customer then any thing. Also we told the house keeping staff not to clean our room and we came back from being out all day too find all our underwear folded on he bed which is discussing but at least they changed the towels
Next to the subway. Good value for NYC.
downtown easy to acces the environment
I did not like anything, staff, cleanliness, location was all bad. broken furnitures.
Only negative was the level of outside noise throughout the night....would recommend earplugs
Nothing! All Staff had no matters, The room had no cleanless. Was horrible. The Smell was so bad. And the bed was falling apart. We was expecting a little more.
Free parking, light breakfast, price No facial tissues or toilet paper in our bathroom. Room not very clean. However, for a one night stay, it was okay.
This hotel is conveniently placed on the L subway line, when you come out of the station it's literally right there, but make sure you check that the Manhattan bound service is running. Unbeknownst to my friends and I the service was down all weekend while we were there. Fortunately we were able to find an alternate route via the M and J-Z lines, but it made travel in and out of the city take significantly longer than it should have. The rooms could be cleaner, though that could probably be said about many places. Also, the continental breakfast left much to be desired: a few donuts, pre-buttered bagels, and some coffee isn't exactly offering the greatest choices. Also, make sure you know how to get to the place if you're taking a cab from Manhattan, none of our drivers had ever been out to that area and we had to direct them, luckily we could since we had our phones with Google maps on them.
