Convenient to Manhattan, easy walk to Brooklyn Bridge, subway line. Though clean and nicely decorated, room was small and there was limited closet space and no drawers.
The price was great as it's newly opened and seeking customers. The staff was juggling a lot of issues, and they maintained professionalism and friendly calm. The decor was modern and comfortable, the location perfect for my visit. It took 2 calls to the front desk to get the noisy twenty somethings to quiet down in the middle of the night. Generally the walls seemed thin and the doors closed loudly. We had no soap in the shower dispensers, but it was taken care of. The tv system stopped working just when we wanted a little rest... But these issues were handled professionally.
Staff was great Bed was way too small
Staff was on point and so friendly. I love the neighborhood and all the shops. Breakfast area was a bit crowded. I was asked my room number before I was given my cup of coffee.
The workout facility was pretty awesome. By far the best one I've seen at a hotel! Rooms we a tough small but expected. Everything was great even the people... only had one issue... see below I was really upset when I booked the room it said free parking and when we got there we had to payou $50 to park over night.
Excellent location, close to subway, Brooklyn Bridge, and shopping. Great room, friendly/helpful staff. Food options in the hotel itself are limited; fortunately, there's plenty of options within easy walking distance.
Our room had no phone numbers on it like the front desk I had to use my phone and call the outside number. Had no directory for any place to go to eat. Or anything to do.
Staff friendly, comfy beds with great pillows -- very comfortable, reasonably quiet, EXCELLENT location, great walking distance to everything I needed. Fake perfume smell was awful--needs to go. Caused me allergy and asthma attacks. Advertised free breakfast - no free breakfast. Toilets didn't flush right.
the location was perfect for our main purpose in visiting Brooklyn. the lack of clarity over charges. When a price is quoted for the room, restaurant, drinks etc it should include all the taxes etc
Cleanliness. Lighting. View Room service very expensive. Internet should be FREE
The room was immaculate and the complementary items were from bath and body works. The bed was extremely comfortable with huge pillows. We requested a late checkout for our wedding night and they easily accommodated us. We requested a King size bed and did not get one. The room was extremely, extremely small for the price and we paid extra for a view and it was nothing spectacular (just the back of a few dark buildings).
This place is fine but by the time you add up all the extra charges - city taxes, state taxes, etc... what you thought was a decent price becomes 100 more. Next time I will select a lower price to start.
The staff was great.. Went for an event at Barclays Center so location was close... Shopping was fun Mold in grout of shower stall Rooftop pool "being repaired" so was out of service. My granddaughter was with me and was very disappointed
Location is an asset. Linens especially the pillows were uncomfortable. Staff helpful . Shower overflows on bathroom floor.
Great staff--especially the lady at the front valet. 20 degrees outside and she was happy and helpful and super nice. Check in and out were perfect and room service was very good. Rooms a bit small but the beds are the very best! No complaints.
the ease of check in, location of self park, and proximity to subway stop. Plus Juniors cheesecake is very close as well Lobby feels very small.
Excellent service, comfortable bed and spotless bathroom and sheets. Very convenient to subway and restaurants.
Bed is extremely comfortable, very spacious, clean, 1st room didnt have heat. Wrong room type
Valet was horrible they hit my cat and would claim responsibility. Water pressure in room was very low
It's a big city!, comfy bed and quiet stay... the staff was Excelent and professional... Clean rooms and hot shower... Overall a great stay! The air had a problem getting it down to my preferred temp of 66... The elevator fobs were problematic as we had friends on the 23 floor and our card would only let us go to the floor above and below for "ice" and "vending"
We stayed three nights while visiting family in Brooklyn. We booked through a third party site on Kayak. In the past at other hotels, this leads to being treated as a second class citizen. This was not the case at the Sheraton. Everyone was very polite and friendly and met all how requests without hesitation. The room was good for the price in Brooklyn, very clean with nice, comfortable bedding. Noisy family next door in the mornings but this was not the hotel's fault.
The staff in the reception area is corteous and helpful The house cleaning services are awful! The parking folks are rude and absolutely unprofessional.
It was comfortable. The restaurant is an excellent touch because you don't have to venture out for food or cocktails. The shower could be bigger but it's workable
Friendly staff nice bar and good location
The proximity to the Brooklyn Hospital Center. None
clean, simple rooms door to shower is a slider and easily came off the tracks
The adult king room was good size by NYC standards. Free wifi and modern amenities adds value too. Heating unit was hard to work, the air was extremely dry. Bulky pillows. Shower system too complex.
Super cool place to stay. Staff was friendly. Very close to subway and shopping. Comfy beds and great shower. Honeslty, the amount of space in the room is really perfect for someone who is just there to shower and sleep. You don't need that much space. Wouldn't plan a hotel party in here obviously, but it's perfect for a traveler.
The booking for this hotel was made on accident by my sister. When i tried to cancel the booking minutes later, or even reschedule so that I might be able to use it I was completely cutoff. I'm sure the hotel is nice enough, but I will never know what I paid for.
I Loved the fact that the hotel is in the Heart of Downtown Brooklyn. To which "Brooklyn" is now known as the "New Manhattan". Close to all transportation (Bus, Train, LIRR,) The BARCLAY's, JUNIOR's Restaurant, APPLE BEE's, SHOPPING (NORDSTROM RACK, POLO, MACY's, GAP, H&M, CHILDREN's PLACE & WALKING DISTANCE TO ATLANTIC CENTER MALL WHICH HAS TARGET, MARSHALL's etc) I didn't like my view ( I had a partial view of street in rear). There is CONSTRUCTION NEARBY (but you will not hear it, HOTEL MUST BE SOUND-PROOF) I DID BOOK IT LAST MINUTE (the day of/Mother's Day).. The BLOCK IS VERY CLEAN TO WALK IN WITH SMOOTH PAVEMENT. BERY NICE HOTEL STAFF FROM THE TIME YOU WALK IN THE DOOR. LOBBY AREA VERY INVITING, IT EVEN HAS A POOL TABLE, BAR AREA, LOUNGE AREA, SIT & CHAT SECTION..SIMPLY COZY. HOPE THIS HELPS!
Well designed, aesthetically pleasing compact rooms. Reasonable rates, good location These are hopefully only a temporary conditions for the hotel, but there was a lot of construction scaffolding around the front door, with the associated muddy drips and ducking around obstacles. The lobby itself was at first a little confusing, cluttered, cold and noisy. There's a lot of construction near the hotel as well. All likely temporary conditions
Staff is outstanding, rooms clean, comfortable-good location-easy access to Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge, subways close by, easy to get a taxi outside hotel, good shopping in Brooklyn, Juniors Restaurant is fun. Well run all around, breakfast is better than most and different selections every day. Coffee bar open 24 hours includes tea and hot chocolate. We were a group of high school students and teachers-worked great for us Nice ambiance in the lobby and lots of seating for breakfast. It can be noisy at night but all of New York is like that.
The hotel was very clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Everything you come to expect from Hampton Inn's. A very consistent experience wherever we travel!
The location is perfect and our 13th floor room had an amazing view! The rooms are nyc small but the use of space was great. Very comfortable, very clean. Almost romantically decorated- it is modern but not cold. The staff was so friendly and the wifi was fast! The service in the attached restaurant was pretty bad and the food was lower than mediocre. No fault of the hotel but I would recommend grabbing an uber or wandering out for a better dinner.
Staff was fabulous ans the layout and decoe of the room was Euro-city tight but i expect that and it was done very well. room appearance gave an impressive first impressíon. Only problem ... stains on the drapes and the duvet ... this needs to be atended to!!
Clean, new rooms & facilities, great location in downtown Brooklyn, great service. Room is very small, but if all you need is a bed and bathroom, this is it. Good curtains for blocking light, great views. Papered ceiling gives illusion of more space to avoid claustrophobia. No closet except for a small space above the fridge and safe. Not a lot of room to move around or set up your suitcase. Suitable for one or maybe two people who pack very lightly (one rolling bag). A little overpriced for such a small room.
The staff was helpful. I loved the snacks and coffee in the main lobby. The terrace on the tenth floor has amazing views of Brooklyn. We were able to clearly see the Coney Island fireworks in the distance. They painted something in the hallway and the fumes were strong throughout the night. I had to stuff tissue all around the doorframe to not feel dizzy. The elevators weren't working properly.
I liked the illusions, particularly the paintings, which gave the impression of space. The staff was responsive, although they were not fully fluent in English. The front desk staff was wonderful! Although my room overlooked the construction of the mall, I liked the night sky. My only issue with this hotel is the size of the room. I am disabled, and I require space for mobility. I requested a change of bed linen, and I had to stand in the bathroom in order to give the staff member space to change the bed.
The only good thing about the place was the four free tea bags a.nd the fact that the curtains closed If I listed everything wrong, I would here for hours. Suffice it to say that, when I told a friend about what happened, he insisted that I swear out a criminal complaint (he is a Prosecutor) and my bank had no questions about reversing the charges to my credit card.
