Pros: The Hotel dripped with quiet class, starting with the polite, very friendly and organized concierge team at ground level. The reception team up on the 24th floor continued with their excellent help. The bar staff were very cool and obliging. I particularly liked the Lychee and Rose martini cocktail. YUM. An infinity pool canter-levered from the hotel at an impossible angle on the 25th floor was a delight. The breakfast team provide delicious food with synchronized efficiency. Also the Michelin restaurant served us lovely food with without any snobbery in sight:). Our family of four absolutely loved our 2 night stay.

Cons: The sunbath area at the pool is seriously not enough especially during weekend. Considering the size of the pool is relatively small but I think it's ok just the sunbath area is really insufficient. Please consider to expand it. the other thing would be the room service menu, I'm surprised of not having thai soup noodles in the Thai section as it's a signature dish.

Pros: All the staff was more cooperative. I forgot my phone at the coffee shop in the lobby waiting for the check in time because i arrived early then went round outside the hotel. When I returned I found the coffee shop employee was looking for me to give me the phone. The location is very great. Since check in till checkout they have provided very wonderful services. Pros: The hotel is very big, classy and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is very nice! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have upgraded us to an executive room which is a very nice gesture from them. The hotel also provided vouchers for the nearby King Power Duty Free shopping mall and they also provide free shuttle Tuk Tuk service to the Century Movie Plaza which the bts station- Victory Monument is just next to it. This made it very convenient to travel around.

Cons: The hotel did not provide us information that we can take the buggie to Siam Station when we checked in. We found out later when we asked the staff for the direction to the station before the footbridge to the shopping mall was opened. Also the cleaning of room was not prompt as expected When we left the room around 10am we turned on the makeup room sign but the room was still not cleaned until 3pm. But seems like it was the full house so thats probably why. Despite these, very satisfied with the stay.

From a sustainability point of view I really liked the reduction in packaging in the rooms - for example soap, shampoo and conditioner refilled into a simple VIE branded containers. Great location on the Sky train making it easy to get around the city and very easy access (30-45 minute) to the airport.

Cons: A little disappointed that the deluxe king room does not have a sofa by the window as indicated in the photo. As i was a solo traveller and i spend most time in the hotel, there is only a chair to seat for my 5 days stay. Breakfast not much choice but good enough for me.

Cons: Taxis from the hotel.The first driver stopped the meter soon after we got on, saying "this is holiday fee.", so we got off.And the second one claimed we needed to pay extra fee for him to return after we reached the airport though we told the door man about the firtst one and asked him to make sure to call a good driver that time. The woman clerk at the reception called a very honest friver on the first day so we think not every staff is unreliable. The swimming pool and Gym was said to be open until 1PM but we were made to leave before 10:30.The staffs clearly looked irritated to wait for us to get prepared.

Cons: The wifi can be a little slow at times. Not a big problem but one of our dressing gowns were’t replaced after day 2 and my partnet had to ring to ask for one. They couldn’t understand what we said, so we had to show them the gown. All solved quickly but it should not have been something customers need to ask- room service should be perfection.
We couldn’t have breakfast on a couple of days as the queues for breakfast was so long (10 couples/families in front of us) that we left and found food elsewhere. This needs to be addressed as it wouldn’t be acceptable for a 5 star nor a 4 star hotel. To their aid, the manager did speak to me immediately after I gave them feedback promising they’ll fix the issue. This is great, but it still doesn’t help the fact that we have had to miss breakfast we paid for for a few days.

I had the feeling to live with friends. Pros: After many nights in well-known Hotels my stay at the Sofitel Sukhumvit cause me for the first time to a rating. Never before I experienced so much real warmth as in this Hotel. I had the feeling to live with friends. I would like to especially thank the Chief Concierge Mr. Trai Pradist Jusin whose professional competence and human greatness are transferred to his entire Team. Such personalities make the difference to other equally good Hotels. The location of the Hotel in the City center is also very good. The Sofitel Sukhumvit offers luxury at the high level coupled with genuine warmth and concern for the well-being oft guest.

Pros: The room was a good size and the glass wall bathroom was a great touch to open up the room. The staff were amazing (on arrival we had iced elderflower slushy) and the evening room turndown was fabulous (chamomile tea etc).

Cons: Listen to the hotel as far as service is concerned Check in took a lot of time did not want to bring us two tickets to room, our room was 2704 The room next door was in renovations and we could not sleep, then the toilet was broken and could not repair the services, I did my needs in the bathroom The lobby, no one came with us to the room to show us how things are used in the room.

The hotel have charged me for the stay on the 23rd of July and my check in date was 1st of August. Normally I will be charged on the check in date if I booked for a non-refundable one.

My second favorite part of the hotel is the decor and environment -- it is done very tastefully with a focus on Thai art/architecture/style. Lobby and hallways look very elegant. The hotel overall feels quite high end. During my stay (which was on Songkran), the hotel did not feel like it was overcrowded with guests. The gym was also to my satisfaction - had all the free weights and equipment I needed for my workouts (and I am very picky about gyms). The breakfast selection was also quite good - good assortment of all the major types of cuisines, although it gets CROWDED if you go after 9am. Overall I was pretty impressed by the hotel -- it's not perfect, but overall I would judge it as good value for money.

Cons: My floor had a damp, musty, urine-like odor when I stepped out of the lift. At one point, someone had put out a cigarette on one of the decor stands in the hallway (this is not the hotel's fault, but it was a non-smoking floor and should have been better enforced, or cleaned up right away). The carpet in my room looked quite old and color was a bit unpleasant/yellowish looking. Also the nightstands in my room showed obvious signs of age/wear & tear. My toilet flusher broke twice, and wifi cut off briefly at one point. The wifi issue was fixed pretty quickly, but the toilet flusher took awhile for someone to show up the first time - at which point I could no longer hold it and had to go downstairs to use the restroom. The breakfast buffet is great but gets way too crowded if you go after 9am, the area where the food is set up is a lot of people running into each other. Finally, the location is great if you want quiet (which I do), but at the same time, it's a bit of a walk to the BTS station (about 10-13min, depending how fast you walk) and there's not much in terms of restaurants or action in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. They do however, have a shuttle bus that can take you to the BTS station.

Pros: Very good location, just above Asok station and Terminal 21 mall. Pool area is nice and have kids playroom, breakfast is well. Front desk and bellboys are helpful. Also the cleaners are very polite.
Cons: the shower water tempreture is very unstable and the guest service staff was not very good at communitcation. when i asked for a spare hairdryer becuase my room's one was not working, he asked did you check the bathroom cupboard, of course i checked otherwise howcome i know it's not working. another day we asked for some plates and cutlets for take away food, after half and hour they didn't send to our room and we call again, the staff asked us to check the cupboard and drawers; of course we did check but it don't have so that's why we called. and no one showed up.

Pros: I like the way the staff served us. However, on our first night there was something wrong with your electrical control system. The whole night, the lights inside the bedroom kept turning on and off giving us a very bad night. It was fixed the next morning though. Also, you had a black out on thursday early morning and the lights and aircon turned off. In all hotel five / four star hotels I have used, they have standby generators big enough to power the whole hotel and all the rooms. You should have enough standby power knowing that blackouts are common in your country.

Cons: Major issue for me was: the non-smoking room (on a non-smoking floor) must have been occupied by someone who smoked in that particular room, it reeked of very strong cigarette smoke smell when entering the room. For the hotel todo, before this room is put back on inventories to sell to next guests it should have been sanitized of the smoking smell but it wasn’t. Though the issue was promptly treated after reporting to Guest Relations, a room maid was sent to ozonize the room during the rest of the afternoon which helped getting rid of some of the smell, must say room maids were very good and very caring.

Janya really took care of us even after we had checked out to make sure that we were safe when exploring Bangkok and could call her if we needed help with a taxi to get back. She organised a taxi for us, brought us cold water once we came back from exploring looking visibly hot and sweaty (it was quite a warm day!), and even got us the wifi password without asking. Definitely recommend this place.

Cons: When I book, the website said nothing would be charged until 31/07/2019. But, on the 27/07/2019, the hotel hold full amount of the cost from my credit card. When I showed up at the hotel, I told the receptionist released the amount it held and charged the amount on the day I came so that the amount could be counted towards my next spend cycle instead of previous one. Cons: The rooms are very old. I don’t mind the design or chipping paint but the hallways smelled and every time you open the door the smell with enter the room. The rooms were muggy and sheets were dirty. It felt like the room wasn’t flipped from the last occupants to us. I stayed for two nights and had a total of 4 towels, each towel was dirty with what I hope to just be make up stains. It was disgusting. I had a really horrible stay knowing how dirty it was. Can’t believe this was a 5 star hotel. Very very disappointed. I have been to Bangkok about 5 times and this was by far the dirtiest room I have stayed in.

Pros: Staff very absolutely fantastic. Travelled to finalise cremation of my ex husband and discover anything about his time in Bangkok. Staff helped to locate phone numbers, translate documents and assist with return flight boarding passes.
Cons: We had to be in that area but for tourist reason felt a little unsafe... even taxi driver on ride from airport warned ya about thieves and robbers in the area !

Pros: Leaving and getting into a taxi going to the airport. The rest of the time in the hotel was horrible. We booked a couple of away day trips at the desk in the lobby. They were good but not part of the hotel so could not use these to compliment the hotel.

Cons: It took us at least half an hour to do the check-in. The receptionist took my card and went to another counter where I couldn't see him for the payment, he took the money of the deposit and didn't give us any proof of the payment. The room smelled quite bad.
