Pros: The room was really nice! It was in a great location. Staff was friendly.
Cons: The information regarding parking could've been better. I assumed we had the option to either self-park (through the hotel) or valet not realizing the hotel doesn't have a parking garage to self park so when I left at night I had to pay $18 through the city on top of the $70 overnight parking to then park with valet through the hotel. The pool was packed when we went to go swimming in the morning and the staff just walked around completely ignoring us instead of trying to help us find somewhere to sit. They had signs set up on tables saying the area was reserved for 10 am yet no one was even sitting there at 1130 am. Bad customer service when that's what their job is there to do. I called ahead to make sure my reservation was okay because the card I originally booked it under was cancelled. The lady I spoke with confirmed my reservation and confirmed with me that everything was good to go. I showed up to check in and the front desk lady then told me my reservation was cancelled?? Extremely frustrating after driving 8 hours to Sacramento and just wanting to get into the room and relax. Fortunately, they were able to rebook the reservation but it was just frustrating to have to do so.

Cons: A little more upkeep and cleanliness (especially for a suite). Need better coordination with in-room spa services. Our service never arrived after attempting to book three times prior to our stay (and finally calling and confirming with them the day before our stay). Nonetheless, they never arrived and we were charged for our services anyway. I had to chase down the service for a refund - at first they claimed that we were not in our room, finally admitting that they failed to properly coordinate with the hotel and nobody ever arrived. We received a refund, but it was not worth the trouble. The staff is very friendly - especially the tall kid that checked us in... but there can be a bit more attention given to detail, i.e. cleaning condensation stains on ceilings and walls of rooms, stocking more water and replacing bent/crumpled room service menus with new ones... high-end prices for mediocre ambiance, but I'm sure with some hard work - the place can become world class.

Cons: Our first room had blood on the walls. We then moved rooms only to be placed in a room that wasn't cleaned. When we were moved again our room was still dirty but by then we had missed our original plans we had made. We stayed in the third room. The only thing the hotel did was remove a parking charge (which feels like something that should be free for guests anyway). Upon checking out a staff person made a very inappropriate drug related joke to my partner that made us both uncomfortable. When trying to order food from the bar I enquired about the cooking oil as I have food allergies and the staff said she didn't know and refused to find out what was used. I felt very uncomfortable, unsafe and dirty the entire trip. Definitely will not be staying at the Hyatt again.

Cons: Room was GROSS. The smell of other people was prominent upon walking in... That should have tipped me off, but I decided to stay. Unfortunately for me, and my severe dust mite allergy, I did not sleep for more than an hour as I scratched all night and woke up with severe allergies and itching due to the musty linens. It's not that they didn't wash the linens, but they were obviously quite old. The shower curtain was ragged and had black mold spots on it. The comforter was a sort of grey white and had several brown stains. The staff did not seem to care when I mentioned this in the morning. We decided not to stay another night and instead went to the Westin in Land Park and enjoyed that much more.

Pros: It's a very nice hotel, but I got a suite so my friend and I would have privacy from each other. I told him that I'd take the couch... which was not possible, because the couch was barely bigger than a lazy boy recliner and the only way I could sleep on their couch was if I slept in the fetal position... which wasn't possible. They said all their couches except the one in the handicap accessible room were small like that. Luckily they had one of those rooms left, but it wasn't a suite, so we had no privacy from each other. Also, in the "suite" the "living room" part was only about 7' x7' wide, so it would be challenging to even sleep on the floor in there it's so small. AND THE DOORS ARE MADE OF GLASS.... so once again, don't get the suite for privacy or extra sleeping space. The ONLY thing I can see the suite being good for is if someone likes to watch TV late and doesn't want to wake the person sleeping... otherwise the suites are pointless. Overall the hotel is very nice, nice decor, friendly staff, awesome location, and walking distance to most anything in downtown. We took a Lyft to the Kings game, but walked back. I'd stay here again, but not if I was with my buddy who I didn't want to share a bed with. The provided ear plugs so we didn't have to listen to each other's snoring.

We took a lyft to the Kings game which is way cheaper/easier than paying for parking and losing out space in the garage. Because if you get a parking space at the hotel, if you drive somewhere, your space is not guaranteed when you return.

Cons: I didn't like how little parking they had. Also, my key cards kept demagnetizing. The receptionist I dealt with the first time said it was because I had it near electronics, but it happened a second time and I was keeping it away from electronics. I was there for three nights and this happened twice.

That vent could have been kept away from the bed room.

Pros: I chose the Delta King because of its unique charm. I loved that it was in Old Sacramento which has cute stores, cobblestone streets, and old west buildings. As I crossed the cobblestone street and wooden platform railroad tracks to get to the boat I felt like I was going back in time. I was so excited because I love things that are off the beaten path. I loved all the charming details from the lamps to the faucet knobs, everything was antique.
Cons: The room was smaller than the pictures let on but cozy. The city view stateroom pictured had a desk, which I was excited about getting work done at. My room did not. The room was very dust and I am very allergic to dust. I checked in late so I tried to make it work. I ran my finger across the phone and the bed frame and they both had a thick layer of dust. The triple lamp over the bed did as well. I didn't sleep well because of the dust. I very nicely asked if someone could dust and change the sheets due to my allergies and the man at the desk seem to take it personally. When I came back later that day, they had made the bed, but not changed the sheets, even though I had left the "change the sheets" sign on the bed. The breakfast voucher is for a very specific breakfast off of their menu. If you want something else the voucher does not apply. Though they were very nice about my egg allergy and gave me yogurt as a substitute. Since the walkways are very narrow, people walk very close to the walls and thus it is very loud. Especially on the weekend when other people are drunkenly walking around the train station. Overall I love the idea, there are just some rough edged that really bring back life in the 1940s.

Pros: I stay in sacramento a lot and had always wanted to try this. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. I had dinner at the Bar and their complimentary breakfast, both were good. I also slept well. I would stay here again if I were to bring my son on a business trip, as I know he would enjoy the boat. Other than that, I would prefer a normal hotel in the future.

Pros: Check in was efficient and the location is right in the middle of old town Sacramento. Very conveniently located to shops, dining, the new Golden 1 Center. The music at the bar was nice and seemed like a nice place to have dinner. We stayed one night to meet up with family and friends for a Kings basketball game.
Cons: As expected for a river boat, the rooms are small, and I would recommend a river view room. The sound from adjacent rooms, overhead and hallway is significant which does impact your sense of privacy. The radio didn't work and only had a CD player, no mp3 or phone connectivity. Overall, our one night stay was pleasant.

Pros: Very unique stay on a restored paddle boat. The restaurant and bar were very nice and food was good. The rooms were small but comfortable. It is a boat so everything is small and tight. The ambiance was quaint and wonderful. The outside deck was very nice by the bar overlooking the river. Old Sacramento is right there with many little shops, bars and restaurants. You can walk to the Capital Mall also.
Cons: There wasn't much to not like. Just be careful if you are tall like my husband. The ceilings and doors in the cabins are short. He hit his head a few times before he learned to duck! Also if you are a light sleeper being ear plugs as the train tracks are close by and the trains go through several times a night.

Pros: This is my second overnight stay on the Delta King. Love the atmosphere, good food, friendly staff, the price is right, and I've always slept well on the water. Fifteen years ago my family celebrated our son's eighteenth birthday with an evening at a Delta King Murder Mystery dinner.

Cons: The only staff member that " couldn't see" the LARGE ( 3 feet in length ) wine or blood or whatever stain was on my curtains in my original room. Aside from actually completing the transaction of switching my room she was not helpful. My new room keys that she gave me were only 1 out of 2 working. She didn't offer a bell cart, I had to ask. The next morning upon leaving at 5:30 and asking them to check the original room for left behind belongings- she told me " you can go check yourself I'll make you another key". AND she never alerted housekeeping for follow up with the issue. I felt like I had to do all the work for a 4 star boutique hotel in mid town. The only reason I was so displeased with that interaction was that everyone else was outstanding.

Cons: We went to a concert that night and arrived back at the hotel at 11 p..m. The restaraunt was closed, and there is no room service avaiilable after this time. The restaurants nearby become nightclubs at this hour, and there are lines to get in. We also could not access our car because valet closes. I also felt that there now needs to be a few fixes or upgrades done. Our room was clean but there was no bathroom lock it was broken...paint touch ups need to be done, and the TV remotes replaced with easier ones to use. This hotel is best for business travelors, event guests (wedding) where they don't need to leave the hotel.

Pros: The helpful, friendly staff made our stay especially pleasant. We enjoyed a nicely decorated, comfortable junior suite. The hotel is a beautifully restored architectural gem. The covered roof deck was a great wedding venue, with a spectacular view of the capital dome and skyline. The wedding reception food was delicious and served hot. Beautiful Chinese soaking tub and every toiletry you can think of. Linens were excellent quality and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to enjoy the restaurant as well for breakfast and the menu and drinks were to die for! I had a very hard time deciding what have. Fresh squeezed OJ mimosas and bloody Mary's were amazing. I can't wait to have a romantic overnight with the hubby very soon!

Pros: This hotel was easy to find, secure (doors are locked between 10 pm and 8 am), and the front desk staff professional. Common areas and the room were very clean and well appointed. We did not shower so I can't comment on that. Breakfast options were minimal, but we were able to put together a southwestern breakfast sandwich with the offerings. It's location near the freeway entrance made it easy to get back on the road to Tahoe. Would stay here again, but will book directly through Marriott.

Pros: Wonderful room downtown with a great view. The restaurant that is attached is wonderful, and there are several others within walking distance. It is right across the street from the beautiful Capitol Park, and there is plenty to do in the area. It is even walking distance from Old Sacramento which is a great place to spend a day shopping and enjoying the old buildings and trains. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room cleaner in particular was especially helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The breakfast is standard, nothing too special, but it has a lot of choices.

Cons: There was stagnant water in the bowed bathtub, the bathroom itself was filthy overall. The carpet in front of the bathroom seemed like it was constantly wet for no reason. The parking lot had a intense repugnant odor for 2 of my 3 day stay.

Pros: This Super 8 provided the bare minimum but was at a convenient location for the business I needed to do. Staff were friendly and courteous.
Cons: They had wifi, but since it had no password, it was apparently overwhelmed with traffic and I never succeeded in accessing it. There was a bare bones breakfast. I've been to Super 8s with hot food like waffles or omelets, this one had only very basic bread and cold cereal. I generally go for Super 8 because it combines value with wifi and enough breakfast to feel ready for my day. Not having a password on your wifi so that it is overwhelmed...not great, not having either waffles or eggs, oh dear...just left me unhappy starting my day.

Cons: They called me to inform me they did not have a room for me after it was all booked and confirmed. Nor did they make any attempt whatsoever at trying to find me other accommodations due to their error. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. The customer service associate was rude and really had no care as to the situation they put me in.

Pros: The host was helpful in letting us use the phone to arrange a rental car and taxi at the end of our stay.
Cons: It is a gamble how great your stay here will be. My room was as expected but one of my traveling companions did not have as good of luck. Her first room was not cleaned (someone had been very sick inside!) so she asked for another: the front door on her second room did not lock (this was particularly disturbing as it was on the ground floor and there are many vagrants in the area); her 3rd room was better than the other 2 but still smelled heavily of cigarette smoke despite the fact that it was non-smoking. You can try your luck!

Pros: A couple blocks away, there are nice things. I suppose that the price was tolerable for the area. but you get what you pay for.
Cons: Old location. "Breakfast" was some dry cereal. Location is noisy, frequent panhandlers and loud crazy homeless people outside. Frequent car alarms. Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows were flat as can be. Air conditioner worked sporadically. Hot water took a while to flow. Old broken tube TV.

Pros: It doesnt look like much on the outside, but inside was pretty nice for the price. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot, the WiFi worked relatively well, we had a microwave and a mini fridge, and we walked in to a freshly-cleaned room every night. We were in town for WizCon, which was just a short walk up the main street, as was downtown Sacramento, which was fun to walk around. The staff was very friendly. They gave us coupons for Dominos pizza (right down the road),helped us with anything we needed, and when a car was coming for us 4 hours after check out time, they arranged for a safe place for us to keep our bags. Overall a great experience.
Cons: The street that it is on is a bit noisy, but you get what you pay for. Our room smelled slightly of smoke, but it was something that went away quickly once we opened the window or turned on the air conditioner. The good far outweighed the bad-- a good price for the stay we had.

Pros: I love how the bed had a light on the bed frame. I love how on the outside it looks like a cheap hotel till you get into the bedroom and it looked really nice. And the bed was nice. And the hot shower felt awesome after a long day on the road.

Cons: This place was dirty. It's one thing to have cob webs in the room (though not acceptable), but it's another thing when the cob webs are in the shower. Clearly hadn't been cleaned. The handle on the leaky faucet was broke, and there was some trash on the floor near the heater when I walked in.

Cons: Smoke alarm was removed from wall, there were no fire sprinklers in the room as is required per state law. The nonsmoking room smelled so bad of cigarettes that my eyes watered. The sprinklers that were on-site were very few, and at least 30 years old. This place is a fire disaster waiting to happen.

Pros: It is relatively inexpensive. The bathroom was clean and everything in it worked well.
Cons: The neighborhood is not great but not terrible. The police arrested someone in the parking lot. No alarm clock. The carpet is filthy. Some of the clientele is sketchy. A lot of noise at night - police cars, trains, people driving loud cars fast. The refrigerator made a loud and annoying noise every fifteen minutes or so and did not function properly.
