Location, size of rooms Over decorated, bit to dark
Everything about the Mainport Design Hotel in Rotterdam is a thoughtful, and comfortable design experience. From it's location overlooking the historic harbor and adjacent to the Erasmus Bridge to position next to the Tram transit stop...is a well connected position in Rotterdam. My room was very comfortable and a high-design style. Service was excellent throughout, not stuffy or pretentious, but well mannered and accessible. Some 5-star hotels trying too hard to be exceptional, making the visitor feel like it's a privilege just being a guest. But I felt that the hotel and staff really are proud of their facility and are eager to share the good vibe with their clients. Only getting to stay two nights.
Room was fantastic and room service excellent. Would go again
Swimming pool and sauna/steamroom were excellent, and free internet access very useful. Easy to find and accessible to tram and metro. Breakfast was expensive.
The Staff were the kind I would happily employ and had great temperaments suitable to the `Industry. Good position for Museums and a quick ride to Theaters. Beds too soft and ended up with a backache.Pillows too thin for comfort of neck. Smart tap design in bathroom was difficult to decipher re bath or shower etc until shown and no signage or directions to tell you how to use them. Design upmarket utilitarian and found anywhere. Usual expensive mini bars and snacks.
Very loud, no alternative room available, under renovation, no fitness area.
Views from all areas Swivel chairs in water bar too fast after a few drinks!
The hotel was very good value, the rooms were well kept and the staff were very frienly.
We loved the view at the town and the harbour from the 13. etage. The breakfast was good, but expensive. The room was excellent.
Location. Breakfast good. Style of rooms was not that I excepted. Whole floor carpet was awful, totally different style than other things. Excepted also more from SPA: No private rooms for changing clothes. No bath jacket + shoes at room.
Perfect view from the 12th floor. Nice bar, good service. Cool room.
Great location and good connection to public transport Bathroom was rather small
Staff, Cleanliness, Comfort and Novelty of the floating hotel on the harbour. No late night room service (apart from simple cheese sandwiches made especially for us by the night porter), general lack of normal hotel facilities, quite basic
The stuff seemed to know a lot of things going on in the city. Also showed us the train schedule, a pharmacy, the closest supermarket, etc.
I liked the warm welcome of all the staff and the service.Good work guys.Way to go...cheers.... Only thing i dint like is the bed which has a joint in between which gives a uncomfortable feeling. I recommend it to be a single double bed rather than 2 single beds joined together. Some modifications or curtains can be put in place to the bathroom as the water completely spills out.
The staff were helpful and friendly, including the owner, barman and reception staff, and the bed was very comdfortable The bathroom was a little tight, paticularly between the shower and wash basin
The hotel was exactly as it looks on the website and is like a boat. Was very impressed with everything from the room to the staff and the bar.
Unusual room, location of the hotel on the water and the balcony (though this is extra). The shower is open so it is impossible not to wet the bathroom floor.
The staff was really friendly and willing to help and give information.People at reception are very nice. The location is amazing and also close to centre and shopping centres.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff and quirkiness of the hotel being a boat!
Unique surroundings, very helpful staff Noise travels, and late night revelling by a group hindered my sleep
Cozzy Hotel, Value for money, excelent hamburguers in the Bar, for short staying
