Pros: Everything about the Mainport Design Hotel in Rotterdam is a thoughtful, and comfortable design experience. From it's location overlooking the historic harbor and adjacent to the Erasmus Bridge to position next to the Tram transit stop...is a well connected position in Rotterdam. My room was very comfortable and a high-design style. Service was excellent throughout, not stuffy or pretentious, but well mannered and accessible. Some 5-star hotels trying too hard to be exceptional, making the visitor feel like it's a privilege just being a guest. But I felt that the hotel and staff really are proud of their facility and are eager to share the good vibe with their clients.
Cons: Only getting to stay two nights.

Pros: Hotel is brand new so the rooms are very clean. Staff very friendly, hotel has lots or amenities. But probably most important for most travelers is the convenience, is it two minutes walk to the airport - I would highly recommend!

Pros: It's hardly a 4* my room was clearly a 1960s council flat. Which I assume is what the building once was. The decor was cold and a bit weird. Kitchenette had NOTHING just a cold metal work top and a sink. A coffee maker but no coffee and not even a microwave. I didn't want a kitchenette but if there is one in my room I expect something! Location is not nice nor is the view
Cons: Far too expensive and not a 4*. I rarely complain about a hotel because you get what you pay for. However I suggest either spending another £20 or going for a lovely 3* somewhere else. It's not a nightmare hotel so if you have booked it's not going to be horrible, just if you have a choice ... Go elsewhere

Pros: Very clean nice rooms, cosy space for breakfast, recommended generally. Very simple but good breakfast.
Cons: You should be aware of Russian speaking lady at the reception who will ask you to pay something that was already prepaid during booking... very unpleasant situation when you are handled a copy of your reservation which included your name but a booking company that you never contacted and never knew. And in this booking it is mentioned that something is not prepaid - in our case it was city tax which was fully prepaid at a time of reservation via booking.com. A copy of reservation from booking that lady did not wanted to see...... Poor sound proof, and bad mattresses - two instead of one king and they were not somehow connected to each other... by midnight you happen to be fully in between two mattresses......

Pros: Everything was new and clean. The Internet was very strong. The location was very convenient. I appreciated that daily housekeeping, coffee cost extra, and that there was MINIMAL furniture/accessories. It kept the price affordable.
Cons: I felt like I was going to roll off of the bed all the time. It was a twin bed.
