parking and proximity to city centre nothing
Convenient location, very pleasant courtyard and reception area, pleasant room. A litter bin with a lid would have been useful
Its design around the central courtyard (Not unlike a Moroccan Ryad), its cleanliness, friendly English speaking counter staff and its location re: Le Mesquita and other attractions. Breakfast was also worthwhile. Air conditioning on the second floor was spasmodic - sometimes on, sometimes off. Given it was 38 degrees, it needed to be on all night.
Clean, comfortable and convenient
close to mesquita
Location was good, a nice walk into the centre, but this end of town has some really nice tapas bars. No where to hang towels.
excellent value for money and couldn't have been more central for the Mezquita.
Nice decor in public area Quite noisy. All the tile and marble floors makes it worse. Could use some rugs to help keep the noise down. Poor lighting in room
Hotel Maestre provided us with the best service, including a fantastic breakfast within walking distance to historical sites. Getting to it by car - a nightmare of one way streets!
The location, however we were put into an apartment and did not stay in the main Hotel The bathroom was very poor
The interior design, and the rooftop terrace There was a loud industrial sound (big air conditioner) that turned on and off very regularly during the night. That was a hassle and I would not stay there again unless I could get a room well away from the noise.
Location was excellent for town centre Air conditioning unit needed a service
Very nice hotel within the walking distance from all interesting sites. Authentic design and neat ambiance. It's about time that receptionists learn some basic english words to explain some simplest things. Also breakfast consisting of coffee and cupcake for 13 euros is not really value for money. The receptionist told us that breakfast is included. It was only afterwards that we learned that apparently it is not.
Every thing was minimum. It will be better if the owner will change the beds. The location is excellent. The price is expensive. The parking is far.
the room arrangement and cleanness no
The public areas were nice looking; The room was rather convenient; the view from the roof was nice; It was close to the main things. staff spoke very little English; At night it takes the guard sometimes a couple of minutes to open the main door, and it's not so nice to be outside in the cold.
The housekeeping and breakfast room staff were particularly competent. Some of the guests in adjacent rooms were noisy.
The old atmosphere, position Wi Fi did not work (said it did) thin walls ,noisy
The Hostal was very friendly, but it was difficult to find. Parking was another problem The bedroom was rather small and not much drawer space for clothes, there was no fridge eith.
Location +++. Also, it felt like a hotel but at hostel prices. It was nice to have a single room with private bathroom, which normally I wouldn't consider paying for, but their rates were reasonable. Not really.
Nice quiet little hostal very well situated in the historic part of town, hotel staff friendly, room ok, nice patios
It's within the city Decor
Hostal Osio has a charming atmosphere. It's quirky with a nice quiet courtyard and perfect location just steps from all of the tourist attractions in Cordoba. Our room (the triple room) was huge, with more than enough room for three people. Free wi-fi, nice bathrooms, very friendly and helpful staff who are fluent in English. We stayed in the winter and the room was adequately heated and there were extra blankets.
Very good location, nice room compared to a hostel. Double bed was a little narrow and short (with height of 1.8m)
location, traditiional style of hotel, staff
Great location, generously sized room, delightful balcony and courtyard, very helpful staff.
Charming place, fantastic location and very kind staff
Great location, friendly staff & clean rooms. The courtyard has board games, internet access, and a small assortment of wine & beer for sale. Beds were a little on the harder side but all in all the hotel is great value for your money!
Great location for old city sites
We were in cordoba to watch our daughter swimming in the Andalusian Championships in the piscina Lepanto 1.8 km away from the hotel when not at the pool we enjoyed walking around the area and we went to have a look around the old Spanish old quarter which was very interesting. Not at all. Everything was very good. We may have had problems had the weather been bad but that would have been no fault of the hotel only the fact that there is not really many places to park in Cordoba center
Highly personal staff without being intrusive. Impecably clean and very samll, but very cute. NA
The bed is good and the room is very clean. The Hotel is very well situated for those that are going to see the old Jewish town and the historical center. 1 - the shower box is too small and for an adult to bathe is hard - not enough space 2 - The room was extremely small, in the back of the house with an inside view of the atrium and our luggage hardly fitted inside the room.
Fantastic position, friendly and helpfull staff Right on cobbled street which was noisy at night if you left the window open.
The hotel is historically interesting and the standard of decor is excellent. The staff were most helpful. The location is perfect.Breakfast good very good value. Rooms a little on small side but that goes with the history of the place.
Very clean and tidy. Very nice decor and layout of rooms. It was an excellent location. Was much nicer inside than it looked from the outside. Although it said there was a restaurant, infact it was only available for a buffet breakfast. No bar, minibar or safe deposit boxes
Fantastic place. Great atmosphere. It is built in a house of the roman times, previously to the Mezquita. It's neighboor is the Mezquita itself. Great location. Could not be better. A trully wonderful experience.
Could not be better located being adjacernt to the Cathedral although difficult to get at initially by car. Good environment and nicely furnished and decorated room. Good attractive bathroom. Only 2 adjacent parking spaces else long term parking 15 to 20 mins walk away. Rooms quiet small and windows onto common internal patio areas. Breakfasts quite limited and not included.
Location, facility was charming and staff very helpfu. Room a little small
I´d like very much location and interior decorating (Andalusian well) Rooms are very small
helpful staff, physical charm of the hotel
Location could not be better. Arrived via train. Very easy to find, located right between the Roman bridge and Mosque-Cathedral. Interior is welcoming and building has a history of its own. Would definitely return.
The room had only one window/door which opened on a closed patio, i.e. the room was very dark and with no air.
The staff seemed like they could not care less about visitors. Service was only offered on request - not as a natural part of their jobs.
You literally walk out the front door and you are looking at the Cordoba Mosque. unbelievable!!!! I also loved the fact that they control the traffic with a pop up barrier which significantly limits the number of cars that pass around the mosque and in front of the hotel.
I liked this hotel the very best of all my hotels in the two weeks I travelled in Spain and Morocco. I wish I could have stayed there at least a week. It was a beautiful experience. Thank you
Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely courtyard room, great value. lunch was a great disapointment
Next to the Mezquita and historic Cordoba Parking was difficult
Good location. Nice room No hot water because boiler broke. Staff in bar not very helpful or friendly. Room felt quite cold.
very well located hotel parking in the basement the air conditioning was not working, the room was way too hot the internet is not free... and very expensive
The location of the hotel was very good and the ambience was quiet. The room was good although the bed lacked a certain comfort. Generally I enjoyed my stay. Finding a cockroach in the bathroom was a bit if a shock as imagined that the hotel would be too clean for that. I also could not quite work out why the nightly rate was E60 one night and 69 the following night.( I stayed on a Wednesday and Thursday night) Breakfast was extra on both days.
The location was directly across the street from the Mezquita and offered valet parking (which based on the ramp down to the parkade, I was very happy for!). You had to access the hotel by buzzing an attendant who then lowered a pylon blocking the street to allow you access to the street that became pedestrian only for most of the day. So leaving the area was not fast (narrow streets with lots of people).
The location could not be better sharing as it does a street with the mosque-cathedral. All the historic parts are within minutes. The streets are not so narrow that normal cars will have any problem. The rooms are very quiet. The reception staff spoke excellent English and gave excellent advice. The underground garage is very convenient and the staff parked the car.
Free parking, o.k. internet service, clean and decent location. Very noisy during most of the night and during both nights. Not a good value for the price. Staff not particularly helpful
After complaining after the first night we were moved to an apartment nearby which was fantastic. We were given a small room on the bottom floor, very noisy, the check in was made difficult as the attendents were drunk.
Kindness and cleanliness of the hostal is great. Best place we stayed at during our whole vacation! Staff is very kind, but not so proficient in English... Would definitely come back!!!
Perfectly located, extremely friendly and helpful staff. What could have been a very difficult parking problem dealt with efficiently and competently by the staff, leaving our car in a safe situation and for free. Can't think of any.
Conveniently sited but difficult to find initially.
Its a nice hostal - close to everything. And the free parking is a plus++. Unfortunately we got the only room (for three persons) in street level - and the cars were just passing by in the street 3 meters from my bed. Next time I would ask for room on upper levels.
Very very helpful staff, very very small english knowledge. In truth, nothing... :) However they are good activity players! Very central location (all sights are in walking distance), and they have really free parking possibility. And free WIFI in the room.
It's a very nice hotel. It takes about 10 minutes to get historical centre and about 3 minutes to get a river side. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Undergraund parking is free. So you enjoy this hotel. The only bad thing is road constraction not far from the hotel. So be careful to get this point. Do not trust navigator tools.
Charming Spanish environment Sounds in the hostel echo so basically you get to hear everything that is going on. but it wasn't that bad!
The rooms were extremely clean, the shower was hot, and the hostal is in the perfect location for visiting everything in Cordoba. Great value for the money. I would definitely stay there again.
Very nice staff, very clean rooms, excellent location. One caveat: sat nav on car struggled to find the hotel location.
Especially the staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was very nice.
The hotel is close to the centre of Cordoba, about 5 minutes walk from the Mosque/Cathedral, Jewish Quarter etc. They also have a restaurant El Escondite there which serves good food. / El hotel esta cerca al centro de Cordoba, 5 minutos andando de la Mezquita/Catedral, Judería etc. Tienen un buen restaurante, El Escondite, que tiene buena comida. We were in the only room downstairs and the outisde noise entered a little too easily. / Estabamos en el unico habitación abajo y el ruido de fuera infiltró muy facilmente.
staff very welcoming. rooms were warm and decorated to a high standard. Quiet and within walking distance of the Mezquita.
Staff friendly and helpful. Associated restaurant dreadful
The hotel was run as a traditional Spanish hotel and the staff were very helpful and booked our tickets for the flamenco show as soon as we arrived which was extremely good.We enjoyed the breakfast but thought it could have started earlier than 9 am
Good location and staff. Breakfast was included. Wifi available. It was hard to get the suitcases up without an elevator
I liked everything, from the moment we checked in, the rooms were clean and ready, the staff was very helpful with all the things we needed, they recommended places to go in the city. I loved the restaurant, the food was very very good, and they are good about promoting local cuisine Nothing to change, they are the best
Very small charming hotel in the old part of town. Very quiet. No fuss. Excellent staff who helped with smallest request very efficiently. They booked Flamenco evening and advised best choice (from several venues) and they obtained the best seats in the theatre. Can't think of anything not to like. Would happiiy stay there again
The tapas ba. Parking availability. Access by car with many one way streets that were more like sidewalks.
The hotel was next to the Mezquita and in the heart of the historic city which was fabulous. Unfriendly and unhelpful reception staff. No internet access in the room.
Very cheap yet comfortable and right on Plaza Santa Catalina. Couldn't do better for the price.
The location. The hotel is located next to the gate of the Mosque (now Cathedral) of Cordoba. It is a perfect place to stay if one wants to enjoy this beautiful site. Also, the staff are wonderful, and the decor and art of the hotel are worthwhile themselves. No English language stations on the tv, but, that is a small complaint.
Very very charming hotel. I had the best room ever ! Very good value for money. Perfect location, just opposite the door of the Mezquita
No wifi in rooms. But it was workable.
Hotel is right in center of historic old city and next to mosque walls. We parked at nearby hotel for 15 euros. Big room for three of us. Not luxury but nice and perfect location.
Fantastic place, in front of Mosquee, in the heart of historical city.Very clean with an atmosphere of historical time Very difficult to reach by car, almost impossible, no parking at all!!!!! Even after reservation of parking by mail no parking when arriving. Very poor breakfast, almost nothing and bad service of breakfast - waiting 30minutes to be served.Very small bedroom.
I was given an apartment outside of the pension with good facility, which was good and also the staff helped carry my bag all the way there which was about 5 minutes walk away from the pension. No.
Fantastic location. A pension with great personality. Clean and comfortable room. Would go back in a flash
Good enough from any point of view Nothing to complain.
The geographic situation is really perfect, the room and the bathroom were very clean. The roof terrasse is really a must for breakfast face to the Mazquita. A little bit expensive but in Cordoba, it's hard to find a better price for the same quality.
The location was very convenient, close to major tourist sites and bus stop towards railway station. The staff didn't speak any English, and refused to write me a separate invoice along with my credit card receipt.
Central, clean, good bathroom and ac
very nice small hostal, the location is perfect next to the cathedral, the staff is very friendly but you need to speak spanish to communicate with them. The breakfast is simple but very nice The sanitairy equipment is poor, it hardly works
very nice people and very good location, confort ok for that price
location location location Staff did not speak one word of English and therefore although polite, could not be helpful. It was nearly impossible to get our car close to the hotel to unload our baggage. There had been no warning that cars were not permitted anywhere close to the hotel. Room was very small and bathroom shower was totally inadequate.
Very good location - right next to Mosque & Bath Arabes
location breakfast is like being in a works canteen. Need to offer better food and service
It was very convenient, right next to the mosque and amid all the cedieval streets of Cordoba.
Nice, clean rooms in the heart of Córdoba parking of the hotel was a bit difficult to find. We had to call the hotel and a guy came to look for us to guide us to the carpark. Breakfast was a bit poor. Better to go out for breakfast.
Great staff. Secure parking. Fantastic location right next to cathedral/mosque and main historical centre.
Great value and location, accomodating staff, friendly and comfortable
Excellent air conditioning! Also, location was ideal for the Mezquita and all parts of the old town. Sound proofing not great (metal doors to the rooms could be noisy opening and closing!)
The location of hotel was terrific The double bed was too small for 2 tall people and the covers, though excellent for the winter, were too warm for summer.
Location perfect to see history of Cordoba. Hotel excellent value for money, staff really helpful.
Convenient location. Affordable. Generally quiet. Had Magnum bars available for sale in lobby! Was not thrilled that we had to wait for our room to be cleaned upon check-in. Also was not thrilled by the mosquitos!
The location was perfect, close to the Mezquita, yards away. The street Encarnacion is so narrow our compact car nearly brushed the walls: the parking garage was two long blocks away and very, very hard to descend into (ridiculously tight curved ramp) with difficult parking slots. This hotel should be noted ¨not for drivers.
