When to visit Trieste

Plane
When flying to Trieste, you’ll arrive at Trieste Ronchi dei Legionari (TRS), which is located 18 miles from the city centre.
Train
Trenitalia is the most popular train carrier serving Trieste, followed by Italotreno. The train journey from Trieste to Venice takes 2h 17m and costs around RM 81 for a one-way ticket. When coming by train from Milan, expect to pay about RM 172 for a 3h 30m trip. The train station in Trieste is called Trieste, and is located 0.3 miles from the city centre.
Car
Another option to get to Trieste is to pick up a car hire from Venice, which is about 71 miles from Trieste. You’ll find branches of Galierirent and NOLEGGIARE , among others, in Venice.
Bus
Several bus lines operate bus routes to Trieste, including FlixBus, BlaBlaBus and GoOpti. From Venice, the bus ride to Trieste takes 120 miles and will cost you around RM 205. From Verona, the ticket costs about RM 95 for a journey of 275 miles. The most popular bus station is Trieste Riva del Mandracchio, located 0.6 miles from the city centre of Trieste. Trieste Via D'Alviano B. Fr. 39 is also a commonly used station, and is 1.5 miles from the city centre.
